The goal is to find out the behavior of officers towards the management of solid medical waste at the Talang Ubi Hospital, Pali Regency, in 2023. Methods: Quantitative methods were used through a cross sectional research design, held at Talang Ubi Hospital, Pali Regency, in June 2023. The study sample was 74 respondents with using proportional random sampling technique to draw members of the population, while to determine the spatial sample using purposive sampling to select individuals in the population, but to use purposive sampling to determine the sample space. Data analysis using univariate, bivariate, and multivariable methods was obtained through interviews and questionnaires. Results: Management of solid medical waste that meets the requirements is 94.6%. There is no relationship between officers' knowledge, years of service and solid medical waste management. There is a significant relationship between the attitude of officers, the actions of officers using PPE and the management of solid medical waste. The results of the multivariate analysis, the variable that has a significant relationship, namely the actions of the cleaning staff and the greatest influence, namely solid medical waste management with good tenure will have good solid medical waste management by 5,520 times higher than those with less solid medical waste management. Conclusion: Hospital solid medical waste management training is needed for health workers to understand the importance of this aspect.   Keywords: Service Behavior, Solid Medical Waste Management, Hospital

Abstract

Background: Makrayu Community Health Center data for 2022, 98% of household heads with access to proper sanitation facilities (healthy latrines), 94.96% of residents with sustainable access to quality (proper) drinking water and households washing hands with soap (CTPS) is 96%. Diarrhea is a condition in which individuals experience an increase in the frequency of defecation three or more times a day accompanied by changes in the concentration of stool in liquid form with or without mucus or blood. The incidence of diarrhea can be seen from the use of clean water supply, provision of family latrines, provision of landfills and provision of waste water disposal. This study aims to find out the analysis of the determinants of the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers in the working area of the Makrayu Public Health Center, Palembang City in 2023. Methods: The study design was case control. The population in the study were diarrhea patients in toddlers in the Working Area of the Makrayu Health Center as many as 245 toddlers. The sample in the study amounted to 71 toddlers. The sampling technique used proportional random sampling and continued with purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out on June 5-21, 2023. The research instruments were questionnaires and observation sheets. Bivariate analysis used the chi-square test, while multivariate analysis used multiple logistic regression tests. Results: The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between knowledge (p value 0.032), attitude (p value 0.016), Stop BABs (p value 0.000), CPTS (p value 0.000) and PSRT (p value 0.002), while there was no relationship between PAM- RT (p value 0.116) with diarrhea as a determinant. The results of multivariate analysis showed that the dominant factor determining the incidence of diarrhea was household waste management (p value 0.003; OR= 0.171). Conclusion: Based on the results of the research, it is hoped that it will increase knowledge by means of public health counseling and seminars, especially regarding the incidence of diarrhea, such as continuing to provide education to the public in protecting the environment so that they are protected from various types of diseases, especially diarrhea.   Keywords: Diarrhea, Incidence, Toddlers

Method: This research design used cross sectional, where the population in this study was 753 respondents, with a sample of 89 respondents under toddlers aged 6-23 months. The sampling method in the research was proportional random sampling. This research was carried out from April 22 to June 1, 2024. Data was collected and retrieved using questionnaires and observations. Results: Results of statistical test analysis using the Chi-Square statistical test and logistic regression where the results show that there is a significant relationship (p value < 0.05) for the variables age (p value 0.009), occupation (p value 0.002), education (p value 0.019), income (p value 0.002), knowledge (p value 0.026), IMD (p value 0.030), family support (p value 0.000), parity (p value 0.021) and support from health workers (p value 0.013). From the results of multivariate statistical tests, it was found that the dominant factor in exclusive breastfeeding was family support (p= 0.004; OR= 10.020). Suggestion: It is hoped that health workers will pay attention to the achievements of exclusive breastfeeding and provide counseling or education to mothers regarding the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months without any additional food so that it is hoped that they can increase the target of exclusive breastfeeding.   Keywords: Breastfeeding, Toddlers, Giving, Posyandu

Abstract

Background: Data from the South Sumatra Provincial Health Office in 2022 showed that the incidence of diarrhea per 1,000 population of all ages was 270 cases. The impact of low sanitation coverage is a decrease in the quality of the living environment, contamination of drinking water sources, and an increase in the transmission of environmental-based diseases such as diarrhea. Metodh:This study aims to analyze environmental sanitation factors related to diarrhea in Pulau Geronggang Village, Pedamaran Timur District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency in 2024. This study is quantitative with a cross-sectional design, the population of this study is all families living in Pulau Geronggang Village, Pedamaran Timur District, namely 309 families, a sample of 174 respondents. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Data analysis is univariate, bivariate, and multivariate tests. Result:the statistical test analysis using the Chi-Square statistical test and multiple logistic regression where the results showed a significant relationship between age (0.001), socio-economic (0.010), knowledge (0.000), availability of clean water (0.010), behavior (0.000), and type of toilet (0.010). There is no relationship between gender (0.167), quality of clean water (0.167), availability of toilets (0.167), waste management (0.410), and availability of SPAL (0.605). From the results of the multivariate statistical test, the dominant factor in the incidence of diarrhea is behavior (p = 0.000; OR = 13.086).Conclussion: It is expected that the relevant government can add programs and develop regional progress, especially in the Pedamaran Timur sub-district, both to improve health and economic and socio-cultural standards and the availability of clean water for the community in the area Keywords : diarrhea, determinants, environmental sanitation

This study was conducted from June 1 to July 1, 2025. Data collection and collection used a questionnaire. Results: Statistical analysis using Chi-Square and logistic regression showed a significant relationship (p-value <0.05) for the variables knowledge (p-value 0.036), attitude (p-value 0.000), length of service (p-value 0.019), training (p-value 0.025), supervision (p-value 0.014), waste management (p-value 0.017), availability of PPE (p-value 0.001), and no relationship with gender (p-value 0.719). Multivariate statistical analysis revealed that the dominant factor influencing PPE compliance was PPE availability (p=0.003; OR=14.213). This study was conducted on May 22 to June 15, 2025. Data collection and retrieval used a questionnaire. Results: The results of statistical test analysis using Chi-Square statistical test and logistic regression where the results show a significant relationship (p value <0.05) for the variables of age (p value 0.040), reliability (p value 0.000), responsiveness (p value 0.015), assurance (p value 0.000), empathy (p value 0.000), physical evidence (p value 0.000), and there is no relationship between gender (p value 0.558), education (p value 1.000), occupation (p value 0.848). From the results of multivariate statistical tests obtained the dominant factor on patient satisfaction is assurance (p = 0.000; OR = 102.314).
