Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between Fiqh teacher professionalism and student learning achievement at MAS Nurul Haq Rite, Ambalawi District, Bima Regency. Teacher professionalism is defined as the expertise, authority, and quality of a Fiqh teacher's work, encompassing their competence in planning, subject matter mastery, teaching implementation, and assessment skills. Student learning achievement is measured by academic outcomes reflected in grades. Employing a mixed-methods approach combining library research and field research, data was collected through questionnaires administered to randomly selected 10th and 11th-grade students, as well as through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The collected data was analyzed using the product moment formula and the coefficient of determination to assess the correlation and contribution of teacher professionalism to student learning outcomes. The research findings demonstrate a positive and significant relationship between Fiqh teacher professionalism and student learning achievement at the studied institution. Statistical analysis reveals that teacher professionalism accounts for 50% of the variance in student learning achievement in Fiqh. This indicates that the level of a Fiqh teacher's professionalism is a substantial determinant of student academic success in this subject, while the remaining 50% of the variance is influenced by other factors not explored in this study. These results underscore the critical role of teacher professionalism in fostering improved learning outcomes in Islamic jurisprudence.

Abstract

This research explores the variations in language register between lecturers and students on Twitter within the post-pandemic academic discourse context. Employing Biber and Conrad's theory of register, genre, and style as a guiding framework, the study analyzes tweets to unveil distinct linguistic features associated with the social roles of educators and learners. Lecturer tweets exhibit a supportive and motivational language style, aligning with their role as facilitators of learning and experts in their field. Student tweets, on the other hand, express frustrations, financial concerns, and societal critique, reflecting the impacts of the broader context of the pandemic on education and personal experiences. The analysis draws on sociolinguistic theories, critical discourse analysis, and genre analysis to interpret the linguistic choices made by both groups. The findings underscore the dynamic relationship between language use and social roles on Twitter, providing insights into how educators and students articulate experiences and challenges within the digital academic community in the post-pandemic era. Future research opportunities include exploring language evolution over time, analyzing engagement dynamics on social media platforms, and investigating regional language variations in academic discourse. Ultimately, this study contributes to the understanding of language use in online academic settings, emphasizing the intricate interplay between language, social roles, and contextual factors within digital communication landscapes.

Abstract

This study aims to explore digital habitus and the transformation of social interaction in the use of smartphones among students at MAN 2 Model Mataram. The approach is a mixed method, combining quantitative and qualitative methods through a case study design. Data collection instruments include observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results show that smartphone usage among students is very high, with 56.5% frequently using them at school and 88.9% accessing non-academic content during class hours. Although most students claim to use smartphones for studying, many also use them for entertainment and social media, affecting their concentration and leading to peer pressure. This repeated usage forms a digital habitus, a new dispositional pattern that replaces direct social interaction with screen-based interaction. As a result, social relationships among students become more individualistic and weaken collective values within the school environment. The main contribution of this research lies in strengthening the concept of digital habitus within the educational context and highlighting the importance of digital literacy as a strategy for character development in the technological era. The study recommends that school policies not only restrict but also guide technology’s ethical and educational use.

Abstract

Pasang is a cultural product that contains the results of ancestral messages containing good knowledge in aspects of human life in this world and the afterlife. Pasang symbolizes experience, knowledge, and education inherent in the Kajang indigenous people. Therefore, it is always part of their way of life that influences their daily activities. This article aims to discuss Pasang: Challenges and Dynamics of Education in the Kajang Indigenous Community, South Sulawesi. This research uses qualitative methods, where the data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of research objects to be processed descriptively. Using the social science, anthropology, and ethnographic approach, this article shows the important position of Pasang for the Kajang indigenous community and the challenges and dynamics in education development in Indonesia. This article shows that Pasang is a cultural product that is in harmony with educational practices, formal and informal, but often clashes with structural, legal, and normative processes, for example, in educational institutions. The main result presented in this article is that Pasang can survive along with the modernization process despite various inhibiting and supporting factors. Another interesting thing is the value and meaning of Pasang, which is expected to go hand in hand with the world of education, which is structural, legal, and formal. Thus, Pasang does not eliminate the main function as a cultural and educational product among the indigenous community of Kajang.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the critical need for an in-depth understanding of research trends concerning character education values within a global context, specifically those indexed in Scopus. The objective is to map and analyze these research trends from 2013 to 2023. The methodology employed is a bibliometric review, with data extracted from Scopus in November 2022 using the keyword "character education values in schools," subsequently analyzed descriptively and through network visualization using VOSViewer. The findings reveal a consistent annual increase in publications, with Universitas Sebelas Maret emerging as the most significant contributor from Indonesia, and the United States as the most productive country of foreign researchers. The most prolific Indonesian researcher is Arifin, and international collaborations predominantly occur with researchers from the United States and the United Kingdom. The dominant research subject is Character Education, with the research development map divided into 7 clusters. The study concludes that the field of character education values continues to evolve, presenting extensive research opportunities. This research contributes to the body of knowledge by providing a comprehensive overview of the trends and directions in character education values research globally, serving as a reference for future researchers in advancing this field.

Abstract

Students must have speaking skills because they are very important for social interaction and work. This research aims to develop e-learning for the speaking skills course incorporating local Papuan wisdom. The type of research is development research. The concept of local wisdom applied specifically to learning materials includes social values and norms, traditional knowledge, customs, language, folklore, and culture. The research subjects involved 48 students from the Indonesian Language Education Study Program. This research was conducted at UNIMUDA Sorong. The research design uses the 4D (Four-D) model. The validity test was conducted by two validators and then analyzed using Aiken's V formula. The practicality test was conducted using student responses and then analyzed using Riduwan's formula. Effectiveness was tested using a t-test with normality and homogeneity tests as prerequisites. Based on the results of the research and discussion on e-learning for the speaking skills course with local Papuan wisdom, it is declared valid with an average score of 0.89 (very high validity). It is declared practical with an average score of 91.87 (very practical category). Effectively improves students' speaking skills based on the results of the t-test with a significance value of 0.000 (Sig. (2-tailed) data). This is less than the predetermined significance level of 0.05. The limitation of this research is that it only focuses on speaking skills. Only exploring Papua's local wisdom. Still unable to reach areas without internet access. This research contributes to the literature on speaking learning media that is responsive to local wisdom, particularly in the context of Papua. Supporting the theory that integrating technology and local wisdom can enhance language learning. The e-learning product produced is valid, practical, and effective, and can serve as a model for developing other language skills devices. Preserving local wisdom thru formal education.

Abstract

Maqashid Syariah refers to the goals that Islamic law seeks to achieve in ensuring the well-being of humanity in social, political, and economic aspects. One contemporary thinker, Jasser Auda, has made significant contributions to the theory of Maqashid Syariah by emphasizing the importance of flexibility and relevance of its principles in the context of modern times, particularly in the field of Islamic economics. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Auda's Maqashid Syariah theory in the Islamic economic system using a qualitative approach through a literature review. The method used is descriptive analysis to explore the application of Maqashid Syariah principles in Islamic economics, such as economic justice, economic empowerment, human rights protection, and equitable wealth distribution. The results show that the application of Auda's principles can help create an inclusive, just, and sustainable economic system, focusing on the well-being of humanity. The discussion highlights the importance of adjusting Islamic law to contemporary social and economic dynamics, as well as the implementation of economic policies that support the well-being of society as a whole. The conclusion of this study is that Auda's theory is relevant in formulating Islamic economic law that addresses social inequality and economic injustice.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dampak sinergi antara intervensi manajemen keuangan dan pendidikan ekonomi terhadap kesejahteraan finansial masyarakat perkotaan di kawasan padat Kota Makassar. Pendekatan campuran digunakan dalam studi ini, dengan menggabungkan data kuantitatif berupa pre-test dan post-test literasi serta perilaku keuangan pada 60 responden, serta data kualitatif dari observasi lapangan dan wawancara mendalam dengan peserta, tokoh masyarakat, dan fasilitator pelatihan. Intervensi dilakukan melalui pelatihan manajemen keuangan berbasis kebutuhan praktis warga, menggunakan modul sederhana dan simulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada indikator literasi dan perilaku keuangan pasca pelatihan, disertai perubahan sikap dalam pencatatan anggaran, prioritas pengeluaran, serta komunikasi keuangan dalam keluarga. Temuan ini memperkuat pentingnya kolaborasi antara intervensi berbasis komunitas dan pendidikan ekonomi untuk memperbaiki kesejahteraan finansial masyarakat urban. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi kebijakan terhadap pengembangan program literasi keuangan yang kontekstual dan partisipatif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) dalam mengembangkan kreativitas siswa serta mengidentifikasi hambatan yang dihadapi selama proses tersebut. Subjek penelitian adalah guru kelas IV dan enam siswa SD Negeri 7 Salotungo Kabupaten Soppeng. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dan observasi non-partisipan, kemudian dianalisis dengan model Miles dan Huberman melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran P5 dengan tema Gaya Hidup Berkelanjutan berkontribusi pada kreativitas siswa. Kreativitas tampak pada kelancaran menuangkan gagasan, orisinalitas ide unik, serta elaborasi dalam menyempurnakan karya dari barang bekas. Siswa mampu menghasilkan ide, menyampaikan pendapat, dan menyusun karya sederhana. Hambatan yang muncul meliputi keterbatasan waktu, minimnya pelatihan guru, serta rendahnya kepercayaan diri siswa. Disimpulkan bahwa P5 mampu mendorong tumbuhnya kreativitas meski memerlukan dukungan lebih lanjut.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tinjauan hukum dan penerapan deposito berjangka dalam akad mudharabah pada BMT NU Cabang Randuagung Lumajang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan dua teknik pengumpulan data, yakni wawancara dengan general manager, account officer, teller serta anggota dan dokumentasi terhadap literatur lain yang relevan dengan masalah penelitian yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian ini adalah pelaksanaan deposito berjangka dalam akad mudharabah pada BMT NU Cabang Randuagung Lumajang berpedoman pada fatwa Dewan Syariah Nasional Nomor 03/DSN-MUI/IV/2000. Penabung sebagai pemilik harta (shahibul maal) dan BMT sebagai pemberi pinjaman melalui akad mudharabah (mudharib). Akad ini menggunakan akad mudharabah muthlaqah, yakni anggota simpanan tidak memberikan syarat apapun kepada BMT. Dalam akade ini, pembagian keuntungan bersama (nisbah) diberikan di depan atau di awal akad, di mana bagi-hasil langsung masuk ke rekening anggota penabung. Dari aspek hukum Islam, pelaksanaan akad mudharabah dengan penambahan saldo tabungan tidaklah tepat, karena metode bagi-hasil ini dihitung berdasarkan dana dari shahibul maal atau anggota penabung, sehingga pembagiannya menjadi fasakh (rusak)
