Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan partisipasi masyarakat Kelurahan Rejosari, Kecamatan Semarang Timur, Kota Semarang, dalam pemasangan lubang resapan biopori sebagai upaya pengelolaan air dan sampah organik untuk mengurangi genangan banjir. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penggalian informasi kebutuhan masyarakat melalui observasi dan wawancara, pemberian edukasi teori dan praktik langsung pembuatan lubang serta pemasangan pipa biopori, serta evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur peningkatan pengetahuan peserta. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman awal masyarakat terhadap teknologi biopori masih rendah, namun setelah pelatihan terjadi peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan motivasi masyarakat untuk menerapkan biopori secara mandiri. Selain itu, masyarakat juga mulai menunjukkan optimisme dan kesadaran akan pentingnya kolaborasi dengan instansi pemerintah dan swasta guna mendukung keberlanjutan kegiatan tersebut. Pendampingan ini berkontribusi pada peningkatan kapasitas masyarakat dalam mengelola lingkungan secara partisipatif dan berkelanjutan, serta mendorong terciptanya lingkungan hidup lebih sehat dan bebas banjir.   Kata Kunci : Lubang Resapan Biopori, Pengelolaan Air, Partisipasi Masyarakat

Abstract

As the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur has not escaped various environmental issues that have worsened due to rapid urbanization, ranging from air pollution to insufficient waste management. This condition requires a creative solution to foster awareness of sustainability from a young age. In response, a community service program titled "Education for Environmental Conservation through the Introduction of Biopori for Elementary School Students at the Kuala Lumpur Learning Studio" was present to introduce the concepts and benefits of biopori technology to children aged 6 to 12. Its main goal is to build early awareness of environmentally friendly practices, especially in flood prevention and organic waste management. Methods used in the program vary widely and interactively, including storytelling, exciting visual presentations, educational games, and video demonstrations. The implementation of this program also collaborates with the Kuala Lumpur Indonesian School (SIKL), which ensures the harmony of culture and education with the target students. The results of the program showed a significant improvement in students' understanding and interest in biopore technology. Many of them are enthusiastic about implementing biopore at home, reflecting expected positive behavioral changes. Post-activity feedback from students and facilitators indicated high levels of engagement and enthusiasm. This initiative demonstrates the effectiveness of early environmental education in building eco-conscious habits. It supports the advancement of community-based science education and contributes directly to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in clean water and sanitation (Goal 6) and climate action (Goal 13). The program offers a scalable model for integrating environmental awareness into urban education systems.

Abstract

Kawasan Industri Sayung, yang berlokasi di Kota Demak ialah termasuk area dengan potensi terkena dampak signifikan atas arus lalu lintas. Tujuan penelitian berperan agar mengetahui kinerja ruas jalan dalam mengatasi kemacetan beserta dampak yang terjadi setelah dibangunnya tol Semarang-Demak. Data didapatkan melalui metode deskriptif kuantitatif mengadakan pengambilan data secara langsung di lapangan. Penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil data Senin mencapai 3.874,60 smp/jam sebagai arus puncak volume lalu lintas, Sabtu sebesar 2.407,70 smp/jam dan Minggu sebesar 1.815,40 smp/jam. Dengan kecepatan tertinggi pada hari Minggu mencapai 58,51 km/jam dan terendah dihari Sabtu mencapai 29,18 km/jam. Sedangkan kepadatan lalu lintas mencapai angka tertinggi dihari Sabtu sebesar 356,16 kend/jam dan terendah 242,81 kend/jam terjadi dihari Minggu. Jadi, dibangunnya Jalan Tol berpotensi meningkatkan pelayanan jalan sehingga berpengaruh positif serta bisa mengurai kemacetan.  Kata kunci: jalan tol, kawasan industri, perkembangan, volume lalu lintas.

Abstract

A traffic accident is a tragedy or accident that occurs on the road involving a motorized or heavy vehicle with other road users or without a vehicle. This incident caused the victim to suffer physical, health and material losses. Traffic accidents occur due to several factors such as human error or inadequate road conditions. Even traffic jams can also lead to traffic accidents. The problem of driving and road safety needs to be considered to reduce the number of traffic accidents that occur. This study was conducted to determine the factors that cause accidents, especially those caused by road conditions and traffic performance. The method used in the field observation research and using data on the number of accidents in 2018–2020 located on Jalan Raya Ngaliyan which was taken from the accident data of the West Semarang Police Traffic Unit. The level of road performance on Jalan Tanjakan Silayur Semarang City, at peak hours in the morning and non-peak hours during the day category C and at peak hours in the afternoon category E. Damage to the flexible pavement surface on Jalan Tanjakan Silayur is dominated by the type of damage cracks, grooves, and bleeding. One of the factors that caused the accident was because the traffic signs were not optimal on the Jalan Tanjakan Silayur section.

Abstract

Population growth has led to a significant increase in solid waste generation. In Semarang City, approximately 1,110 tons of waste are produced daily. One of the waste management initiatives implemented by the Environmental Agency is the waste bank program. However, this program has not yet been implemented in all areas. In Tlogosari Kulon Subdistrict, for example, no active waste bank group currently operates the program, despite the area being a densely populated residential zone and a flood-prone area. This condition contributes to environmental pollution, unpleasant odors, and potential disease transmission. Through this community service program, it is expected that residents of Kampung Pancasila Tlogosari Kulon will not only gain knowledge but also develop practical skills to manage household waste independently. The methods applied include interactive educational approaches and hands-on practice. The results indicate a significant increase in participants’ average level of understanding, from 42% at the initial stage to 86% after the program. This improvement was driven by direct practical activities, including waste segregation, eco-enzyme production, biopore infiltration holes, and composting. Overall, the program successfully enhanced participants’ environmental awareness, enthusiasm, and active involvement in sustainable household waste management.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Petani padi di Desa Tamangede menghadapi permasalahan efisiensi rendah dalam pengolahan pasca panen akibat ketergantungan pada penggilingan konvensional yang menimbulkan biaya tinggi dan losses mencapai 15-20%. Tujuan: mengimplementasikan teknologi Triple Function Electrical Portable Mini Rice Milling (TFEPMRM) berbasis IoT untuk meningkatkan efisiensi pengolahan gabah dan pendapatan petani. Metode: Pengabdian dilakukan melalui pendekatan partisipatif dengan transfer teknologi, pendampingan pembuatan mesin, pelatihan operasional, dan monitoring berbasis IoT pada kelompok tani selama periode Januari hingga Oktober 2025. Hasil: Implementasi menghasilkan peningkatan efisiensi dengan kapasitas 80 kg/6 menit, efisiensi dehusking 95%, milling recovery 83.6-87.4%, pengurangan biaya operasional 84.2%, dan potensi peningkatan pendapatan petani mencapai Rp 5.427.500 per tahun per hektar. Kesimpulan: Teknologi TFEPMRM efektif meningkatkan efisiensi pengolahan padi dan berpotensi meningkatkan pendapatan petani melalui pengurangan losses dan biaya operasional.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Dawet ireng merupakan minuman tradisional khas Purworejo yang menggunakan tepung oman sebagai pewarna hitam alami pada butiran cendol. Praktik penggunaan tepung oman yang bersifat tradisional serta potensi penyalahgunaan Bahan Tambahan Pangan (BTP) pewarna menimbulkan isu keamanan pangan pada produk UMKM dawet. Tujuan: Meningkatkan pengetahuan pelaku UMKM Dawet Purworejo mengenai BTP pewarna pangan dan keamanan tepung oman sebagai dasar penguatan sistem keamanan pangan. Metode: Sosialisasi meliputi survei pendahuluan, ceramah interaktif, dan diskusi terkait regulasi BTP pewarna, risiko polisiklik aromatik hidrokarbon (PAH) seperti benzo[a]pyrene pada tepung oman, serta prinsip higiene dan sanitasi pangan. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner pre-test dan post-test yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil: Rata-rata skor pengetahuan meningkat dari 32% menjadi 94%, melampaui target peningkatan minimal 50%. Kesimpulan: Sosialisasi terstruktur mengenai BTP pewarna dan tepung oman efektif meningkatkan kapasitas pengetahuan pelaku UMKM dawet dan mendukung penguatan keamanan pangan pada usaha pangan tradisional.
