Abstract

This socialization to the community will be carried out in September 2022 in Gampong Cot, Samatiga District, West Aceh Regency. Boba making practice aims to train people in making boba drinks using Caulerpa spp. efforts to improve the regional economy. Implementation of socialization using theory and training with the lecture method. The results of the service can be practiced well, smoothly, structured and successfully involve the Gampong Cot community, the implementation process consists of 4 stages. At the stage of training and mentoring in making ice boba Caulerpa spp. consists of two sessions, namely a theory session and a training session. The theory session contains the presentation of Caulerpa spp. in general and its contents, while the training session contained 1) selection of mature Caulerpa spp to be harvested or collected from the site, 2) milling of Caulerpa spp. become smooth using a blender, 3) mixing Caulerpa spp. with other ingredients, 4) print boba using a printing machine, 5) boil boba, and 6) make boba ice as desired.

Abstract

Beutong was one of the sub-districts in Nagan Raya Regency, with an area of ± 1.017 Km2. The shape of the earth's surface in the Beutong region supports freshwater fish cultivation. This activity aims to increase the understanding and skills of the target audience of cultivator partners in utilizing floating raft aquaponics technology and good fish farming methods. The method used in this activity was the method of counseling and technical guidance. The indicator of success in counseling and technical advice understands the material and practices presented by the presenters regarding floating raft aquaponics technology and good fish farming methods. This service activity was said to be successful if the target audience of cultivators obtains a questionnaire with a final average score of at least 85% of the post-test given. This activity was evaluated in the form of pre test and post test questionnaires about the material provided. The result of this service activity was an increase in additional income in the form of vegetables apart from fish farming. The turnover of the kale harvest was Rp. 75,000/harvest, and the turnover of the catfish was Rp. 4,050,000/harvest. The introduction of floating raft aquaponic technology and good fish farming methods has increased the understanding and skills of the target audience of UPR Mina Mandiri fish cultivating partners and the community around Beutong, Nagan Raya Regency.  ---   Beutong ialah salah satu kecamatan di Kabupaten Nagan Raya dengan luas daerah ± 1.017 Km2. Bentuk permukaan bumi wilayah Beutong mendukung untuk melakukan budidaya perikanan air tawar. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan khalayak sasaran mitra pembudidaya dalam memanfaatkan teknologi akuaponik rakit apung dan cara budidaya ikan yang baik. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode penyuluhan dan bimbingan teknis. Indikator keberhasilan pada metode penyuluhan dan bimbingan teknis adalah memahami materi dan praktek yang disampaikan oleh pemateri mengenai teknologi akuaponik rakit apung dan cara budidaya ikan yang baik. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dikatakan berhasil jika khalayak sasaran mitra pembudidaya memperoleh nilai rata-rata akhir minimal 85% dari kuesioner post test yang diberikan. Evaluasi kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam bentuk kuesioner pre test dan post test tentang materi yang diberikan. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah terjadi peningkatan pendapatan tambahan berupa sayuran selain dari hasil budidaya ikan. Omset hasil panen kangkung adalah Rp 75.000/panen dan omset hasil panen lele Rp 4.050.000/panen. Introduksi teknologi akuaponik rakit apung dan cara budidaya ikan yang baik ini telah meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan khalayak sasaran mitra pembudidaya ikan UPR Mina Mandiri dan masyarakat yang ada di Beutong, Kabupaten Nagan Raya.

Abstract

The problem faced by partners is the need for more knowledge about the technique of raising bileh fish (Rasbora sp.) in aquaculture ponds. The bileh fish from nature does not last long in the fish farmer's pond. This is because the techniques used are not appropriate and inappropriate. The solution offered by the proposing team is assistance in the technique of enlarging bileh fish in cultivation containers. This activity is designed to provide knowledge and skills on bileh fish enlargement techniques. The service activities were carried out in Gampong Lhok seumot, Beutong District, Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh Province. The stages of implementation are 1). Preparation and arrangement of the program, 2). Program implementation, 3). Monitoring and evaluation, 4). Reporting and publication. The output of this service activity is the publication of scientific articles in accredited service journals and news in electronic mass media, increasing partner knowledge. The service results were obtained by increasing the knowledge and skills of fish farmers in raising bileh fish and increasing production (survival rate of bileh fish> 75%). Fish farmers continue to be assisted with the sustainability of the service activity program. Bileh fish, as a local fish, has the potential to be developed as a new candidate for aquaculture organisms.

Abstract

Siamese catfish (Pangasius sp.) is one of the fresh water commodity that has great prospects because it has a fairly high selling value as well as the culture methods that are not difficult to developmentas. The research was conducted for 60 days..This study aims to evaluate the addition of moringa leaf extract and vitamin E to increase long growth and also increase the efficiency of utilization of siamese catfish seed feed. The method used is the experimental method, namely Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 levels of treatment and 4 replications, the details of the treatment are as follows: A). Controls: Commercial Feed; B). Commercial Feed + EDK 100mL/kg feed + Vit. E 200 mg/kg feed; C). Commercial Feed + EDK 150 ml/kg feed + Vit. E 200 mg/kg feed; D). Commercial Feed + EDK 200 ml/kg feed + Vit. E 200 mg/kg feed. The results showed that the addition of Moringa leaf extract as much as 150 ml/kg feed and vitamin E as much as 200 mg/kg feed was the best treatment and showed a significant effect (P<0.05) on specific growth in length (1.07 ± 0.22% / day), feed use efficiency (84.21 ± 7.26%) and total feed consumption (200.00 ± 0.82g).

Abstract

Desa Babul Makmur merupakan salah satu desa di Kecamatan Simeulue Barat dengan luas daerah 7,07 Km2atau 1,58% dari total Kecamatan Simeulue Barat. Topografi Desa Babul Makmur mendukung untuk melakukan kegiatan budidaya perikanan dan budidaya pertanian. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pelatihan teknologi budikdamber (budidaya ikan dalam ember) sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan ketahanan pangan masyarakat di Desa Babul Makmur. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode edukasi dan bimbingan teknis teknologi budikdamber. Program diawali dengan melakukan edukasi materi teknologi budikdamber dan diakhir dengan bimbingan teknis cara membuat teknologi budikdamber. Monitoring dan evaluasi juga dilakukan untuk melihat kemampuan masyarakat dalam membuat teknologi budikdamber dan keberlanjutan program serta kendala-kendala yang dialami selama kegiatan ini berlangsung. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah penggunaan teknologi budikdamber mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat Desa Babul Makmur untuk melaksanakan budidaya ikan dan budidaya tanaman dalam ember dalam rangka meningkatkan ketahanan pangan keluarga.

Abstract

Keberhasilan kegiatan produksi budidaya ikan patin sangat erat kaitannya dengan peningkatan pertumbuhan ikan patin dalam proses pemeliharaan. Pemberian suplemen yang tepat pada pakan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan ikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kinerja produksi dan daya tahan tubuh benih ikan patin (Pangasius sp.) melalui suplementasi ektrak daun kelor dan vitamin E dalam pakan. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Perlakukan penelitian yang diteliti terdiri dari 4 Perlakukan dan 4 Ulangan, yaitu: A). Kontrol: Pakan Komersil; B). Pakan Komersil+ EDK 100mL/kg pakan + Vit. E 200 mg/kg pakan; C). Pakan Komersil + EDK 150 ml/kg pakan + Vit. E 200 mg/kg pakan; D). Pakan Komersil + EDK 200 ml/kg pakan + Vit. E 200 mg/kg pakan. Hasil Analisis sidik ragam (ANOVA) menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi ekstrak daun kelor dan vitamin E kedalam pakan dapat meningkatkan kinerja produksi benih ikan patin seperti penambahan bobot mutlak, Efisiensi pakan, Food convertion ratio dan laju pertumbuhan spesifik benih ikan patin (P0,05). Hasil uji Duncan menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi EDK dan Vit.E dalam pakan menghasilkan perbedaan yang nyata, hal ini ditunjukkan perlakuan yang terbaik diperoleh pada perlakuan C yaitu penambahan EDK 100ml/kg pakan+ Vit. E 200mg/kg pakan.

Abstract

Marine Macroalgae Sargassum sp is a one of macroalgae species that develop rapidly and distributed widely in the South-West Coastal of Aceh. However, marine macroalgae has not yet utilized optimally by Aceh’s community especially comercial product that give value added. This research was conducted by using marine macroalgae Sargassum sp that derived from West Aceh coastal. The measurement of antioxidant activity was undertaken by using CUPRAC (cupric ion reducing antioxidant capacity) method. The aim of this research is to explore bioactive compound to marine macroalgae Sargassum sp as antioxidant.  Sargassum sp is a brown algae that generally attached in dead coral substrate or rocky intertidal zone that influenced by low tide. The result of measurement of antioxindat activity is 180,535 µmol troloks/g dried powder. Thi is suspected that hidrocinamate acid is polyfenol groups that role as antioxidant substance becauce it possess hyrodgen atom from functional hydroxyl groups that contributed by free radical.Keywords : Macroalgae, Sargasssum sp, Antioxidant, West Aceh

Abstract

Peningkatan padat tebar adalah salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kinerja produksi pada budidaya ikan cupang hias endemik serban malem (Betta rubra Perugia 1893). Kegiatan ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pengaruh padat tebar yang berbeda terhadap sintasan dan pertumbuhan ikan serban malem (Betta rubra Perugia 1893) hasil domestikasi. Kegiatan penelitian ini dilakukan di laboratorium sistem dan teknologi akuakultur, Program Studi Akuakultur, Universitas Teuku Umar. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimental dengan menggunakan metode rancangan acak lengkap. Penelitian padat tebar ini dilakukan dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan padat tebar yang dilakukan adalah 1 ekor/liter (P1), 2 ekor/liter (P2), 3 ekor/liter (P3) dan 4 ekor/liter (P4). Pelaksanaan kegiatan penelitian selama 60 hari. Hasil proksimat pakan yang diberikan mengandung protein 31,27%, karbohidrat 44,63%, lemak 4,63%, serat 2,56%, kadar abu 13,03% dan kadar air 3,89%. Pemberian pakan dilakukan dengan frekuensi dua kali sehari yaitu pagi dan sore hari. Pengoleksian data penelitian dilakukan pada awal dan akhir penelitian. Analisis data menggunakan analisis varians dengan selang kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa padat tebar ikan yang berbeda berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) pada sintasan dan pertumbuhan ikan serban malem (Betta rubra Perugia 1893) hasil doemstikasi. Padat tebar terbaik untuk sintasan dan pertumbuhan ikan serban malem adalah perlakuan 1 ekor/liter (P1).

Abstract

Bileh fish (Rasbora sp.) is a fish that lives in freshwater and can be found in the waters of Ie Sayang West Woyla West Aceh District. Excessive exploration has caused the population of bileh fish in nature to decrease and be limited. The first step that needs to be done in aquatic resource management is to identify the type of bileh fish to adopt its cultivation techniques. Fish identification can be done morphologically or molecularly. Morphological identification refers to morphometric studies. This study aims to identify bileh fish species from Ie Sayang waters based on morphometric characteristics. The bileh fish was obtained from community catches in September-November 2023. Morphological identification was done by visualizing and measuring morphometric characters. Data were analyzed descriptively, and the relationship between morphometric characters was analyzed by linear regression. The morphology of bileh fish has a fusiform body shape, terminal mouth type, forked caudal fin, and linea lateralis visible from the operculum to the caudal part. Total length (TL) ranged from 36.94-65.78 mm and standard length (SL) 29.01-52.49 mm. The length-weight correlation of allometric fish was negative. TL characters were closely correlated with SL, HL, DFD, ED, CPD, and VFL.

Abstract

The serban malem fish (Betta rubra) is an endemic to fresh waters. This fish is spread across the western and southern regions of Aceh Province. One of the distribution locations for this fish is the Malem Hills water canal, Aceh Jaya Regency, Aceh Province. This research aims to determine the growth patterns and condition factors of the serban malem fish found in the water canals of the Malem Hills, Aceh Jaya Regency, Aceh Province. The research location was determined using a survey method based on previous research and information from local residents. The purposive sampling method was used to collect fish samples. Sampling was carried out from August to October 2023. During the research, 138 fish samples were obtained consisting of 91 male fish and 47 female fish. The total body length of the fish ranges from 2.1-5.0 cm, and the weight of the fish varies from 0.05-0.91 grams. The results showed that the growth patterns of males and females were negatively allometric, with condition factors ranging from 0.5071-to 1.8846.
