Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a negative impact both from an economic and non-economic perspective. Agriculture is one of the sectors affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, especially in horticultural commodities. Cut-flowers are horticultural commodities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in addition to vegetables. Pasirlangu Village is one of the villages in Cisarua District that has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic because the majority of the population works as farmers with cut flower farming. This study aims to describe the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on cut flower farming in Pasirlangu Village and to find out the form of survival strategies carried out by cut flower farming households during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method used is a qualitative method with a case study technique. The study reveals that the survival strategy carried out by cut-flower farming households during the COVID-19 pandemic to meet their household needs are by doing side jobs, increasing the work intensity, implementing a double income pattern, selling assets, reducing household expenses, borrowing money from financial institutions, and take advantage of the social network owned by the household.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on changing people's consumption patterns to become healthier as seen from the increase in sales of vegetables by 1,900% during the PPKM 2021 period. This is an opportunity for vegetable entrepreneurs, such as the Koltivare Hydroponic Farm company. This study aimed to analyze: 1) The use of marketing communication strategies used by Koltivare Hydroponic Farm, 2) The impact of marketing communications on the volume of demand for vegetables. This research used a qualitative design with the analysis technique of the Miles and Huberman models based on triangulation of data collection techniques. The results of this study indicate that the Koltivare Hydroponic Farm company uses six forms of marketing communications: 1)Advertising which is a form of non-personal communication that aims to provide information and persuasion, both goods and services, 2) Direct marketing is communication that focuses more on direct relationships that are very close to the target market, 3) Interactive marketing is marketing that utilizes technological developments, such as internet, 4) Personal selling is a form of direct communication carried out by sellers to prospective buyers, 5) Sales promotion, namely attracting buyers to make purchases, and 6) Public relations is the creation of a positive image in maintaining relations between business companies and the community. Marketing communication activities that had the most impact on increasing sales volume and market expansion are personal selling, namely activities that meet directly with the target market so that consumers can immediately see the quality of the products purchased and interactive marketing through social media because this activity is able to attract buyers.

Abstract

Since 2016 there has been a significant shift in farming to chayote commodities in Pasirjambu District, Bandung Regency. Gapoktan Regge Regeneration is a pioneer of chayote farming. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors most considered by farmers in choosing chayote farming and the feasibility of chayote farming. The research method used is qualitative with a case study involving 15 informants selected by the snowball sampling technique. Data were analyzed using AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process). The results showed that the most considered factors were economic factors (0,623), followed by social factors and then technical factors in third place. At the criteria level, the profit criteria (0,320) are the criteria that are most considered by farmers to cultivate chayote and after that are the criteria for market availability, farming experience, age, availability of capital, cultivation ability, tools, education level, and availability of seeds at the lowest level.

Abstract

The results showed that the most considered factors were economic factors (0,623), followed by social factors and then technical factors in third place. At the criteria level, the profit criteria (0,320) are the criteria that are most considered by farmers to cultivate chayote and after that are the criteria for market availability, farming experience, age, availability of capital, cultivation ability, tools, education level, and availability of seeds at the lowest level. At this time, chayote farming in Pasirjambu District is still profitable and feasible. This can be illustrated by the value of the RC ratio which is greater than 1, the RC ratio is 2,17.

Abstract

The Farmer's Food Corporation (KPP) as a corporate entity needs to make efforts to survive and be sustainable. This research was conducted on 196 farmers as members of KPP West Java. The purpose of this study was to analyze the performance of KPP service quality in West Java Province. The methodology used in this research is a survey with sampling through Multistage Cluster Random Sampling. The performance of the service quality of the Farmer's Food Corporation (KPP) was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The results of this research are the service quality of the Farmer's Food Corporation (KPP) using the approach of reliability (reliability), responsiveness (responsiveness), assurance (guarantee), tangibles (direct evidence), and empathy (empathy). The reliability subsystem is the performance with the highest gain, namely the ability of KPP to provide services as promised accurately and reliably. tangibles (direct evidence) obtained high performance in service quality at the Farmer's Food Corporation, but implementation was still difficult to do, because farmers often made purchases of production facilities to agricultural shops. Overall, the quality of services provided by the corporation to farmers is in the high category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses komunikasi penyuluhan pertanian yang terjadi di Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Lestari serta mengetahui dampak penyuluhan pertanian terhadap kompetensi anggota kelompok wanita tani Lestari. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik studi kasus. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan proses komunikasi penyuluhan dapat dilihat dari lima unsur komunikasi menurut Harold Laswell yaitu sebagai berikut; Komunikator yaitu penyuluh pertanian dan pihak lain yang menyampaikan pesan penyuluhan; Pesan penyuluhan yaitu informasi yang disampaikan dan dapat disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan anggota kelompok; Media atau saluran komunikasi yaitu komunikasi antar pribadi; dan efek komunikasi penyuluhan uang dinilai positif bagi anggota KWT Lestari. Dampak dari kegiatan penyuluhan terhadap kompetensi anggota KWT Lestari dinilai dari segi kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Kegiatan penyuluhan pertanian di KWT Lestari dinilai berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan kompetensi anggota KWT Lestari.

Abstract

The ability of women's dual role in rural areas to increase income is carried out by processing agricultural products into food products, but business sustainability is still low. The government is here to assist its development through empowering women in the Women Farmers Group with the SIMURP (Strategic Irrigation Modernization and Urgent Rehabilitation Project) program, through product development and expansion of marketing reach. and the role of KWT with member income. This study uses a quantitative research design with a correlational approach conducted in Sukra District, Indramayu Regency in October 2022. The analysis used is descriptive analysis, KWT business income analysis, farmer group role analysis and Kendal tau correlation analysis. The results showed that the role of KWT Sri Kandi was included in the category of very instrumental. The age and role of KWT variables were significantly related to the income of KWT members and the variables of formal education level, non-formal education, and experience in joining farmer groups were not significantly related to the income of KWT members.

Abstract

Laksana Tourism Village has the potential to become a better tourist destination. The situation shows that the management of community-based tourism villages is not good enough. This study aims to determine the level of community participation. This study uses a quantitative approach with survey techniques. The object analyzed is the community involved in tourism activities. The data analyzed are the results of interviews, questionnaires, literature studies, and field documentation. Research data were analyzed using descriptive statistics with a Likert scale. The results of this study are that community participation in the Tourism Village at the planning stage is still dominated by external parties and certain groups of people, at the implementation stage it involves almost the entire community, the utilization stage of the results shows there is a clear profit sharing but not yet transparent report, and at the evaluation stage there is no continuous evaluation.

Abstract

Berkembangnya pariwisata di kawasan waduk Jatigede membawa peluang bagi berkembangnya sektor usaha lain. Usaha produk olahan pisang berpeluang besar untuk dapat dijadikan oleh-oleh bagi wisatawan yang berkunjung ke waduk Jatigede. Namun saat ini, industri rumah tangga belum mampu menciptakan produk dapat berdaya saing dan bernilai jual. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan nilai jual dan daya saing produk olahan pisang, melalui kegiatan peningkatan consumer value. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah pelaku industri kecil dan rumah tangga di Desa Mekar Asih Kecamatan Jatigede Kabupaten Sumedang.  Metode pelaksanaan yang dilakukan diantara adalah pelatihan dan penyuluhan desain produk yang menarik,  keamanan pangan, serta pendaftaran sertifikasi PIRT sebagai jaminan keamanan produk; selain itu mitra juga diberi fasilitas alat dan tempat produksi yang menunjang keamanan pangan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa mitra sudah mampu menghasilkan produk yang memiliki nilai jual dan berdaya saing, melalui perbaikan standar keamanan pangan dan juga perbaikan kemasan produk. Beberapa mitra juga sudah mendapatkan sertifikat PIRT. Meskipun demikian, mitra masih memerlukan pendampingan serta bantuan untuk memperluas pangsa pasar produk olahan pisang.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini berawal dari hasil pemetaan masalah yang dihadapi oleh pengusaha mikro di kawasan Bendungan Jatigede Kabupaten Sumedang, dimana produksi masih belum teratur,  konsistensi produksi masih rendah dan belum stabil, serta kualitas produk yang dihasilkan masih belum optimal. Dalam kegiatan ini yang menjadi mitra adalah 15 pengusaha mikro yang berusaha di bidang pengolahan makanan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan pemberdayaan masyarakat, dimana mitra terlibat aktif dalam setiap tahapan kegiatan, mulai dari identifikasi masalah, perencanaan dan pelaksanaan kegiatan, serta monitoring dan evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pada pengetahuan dan keterampilan pengusaha mikro dalam hal manajemen, teknik produksi serta penciptaan nilai tambah. Dukungan dari berbagai pihak seperti pemerintah, swasta dan juga perguruan tinggi tetap diperlukan untuk menjaga keberlanjutan usaha mikro di Kawasan Bendungan Jatigede.
