Abstract

The maximum production potential for low quality oranges is 15% or 9,057 tons/year, the potential for orange peel waste is 50% of the total weight of oranges or the equivalent of 4,500 tons of orange peel waste The average yield of orange peel essential oil is 0.6%, resulting in a potential of 27 tons/year. The aim of this research is to obtain information regarding the best heating temperature in the distillation process and to identify the main components of Siam orange peel essential oil of the Semboro variety. The research was carried out using a laboratory-scale water distillation system, with a distillation flask capacity of 1 liter, with 150 g of orange peel as raw material at a distillation process heating temperature of 250°C and 300°C. The yields of 1.9 mL and 0.9 mL of Siam orange peel essential oil were obtained 1.083% and 0.513% respectively. The specific gravity of Siam orange peel essential oil is 0.855 g/cm3 and 0.886 g/cm3 respectively, the main components are 29 and 18 components respectively. An important finding of this research is that at a distillation process with heating temperature of 250°C, yields a limonene content of 16.10%, whereas heating at 300°C results in 7.69% limonene content. Keywords: Limonene; Low grade orange peel; Heating temperature; Quality essential oil.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company that operating in the canned fish processing sector. In implementing the traceability system, traceback product still experiences obstacles so it cannot be implemented properly in the Company. This research was conducted to determine the traceability critical point which is a weakness of the traceability system being implemented. The method used is the FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis) approach, which is a development of the FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) method with the inclusion of the CA (Criticality Analysis) method to evaluate the effective level and efficiency of the traceability system being implemented. The results of the analysis showed that 43 possible failure points were identified, of which 2 points were in the unacceptable area, 3 points were in the undesirable area, 12 points were in the acceptable with revision area, and 26 points were in the acceptable without revision area. Traceability of canned fish products at fish canning companies has been going well with 5 critical points of traceability, namely the absence of information on the origin of the fish, not providing special coding for each fish received, not carrying out microbiological testing on the fish received, each fish received is not differentiated. The storage location is between each supplier, and no special records are made at the draining stage. Keywords: Critical analysis, Failure, FMECA, Traceability, Quality assurance.

Abstract

Semboro Siamese oranges have a higher selling value However, the selling value of the Siamese oranges is still relatively low, thus some efforts need to be made to increase the added value of the Siamese oranges. One way that can be done is by producing Siamese orange extract using the High Pulsed Electric Field (HPEF) technology. The aim of this research is to determine the added value and business development strategies of the HPEF Siamese orange extract. The analysis methods used were Hayami and SWOT. The research results show that there is a linearity between the two methods which indicates a positive value with a ratio of value and added value that is classified as high category, and there are development strategies that can be implemented by expanding marketing areas and improving product quality and safety by applying the existing technology.

Abstract

Understanding the development planning priorities and commodity sub-sector in Jember Regency, it is necessary to acknowledge the prime sub-sector and the primary commodity sector in Jember Regency. Regional products should be able to prioritize the sub-sector and the preferred crop, prime and which is considered a sub-sector basis to optimize the food security in the region. The research was conducted from 2016 to 2021 by several analysis methods: Location Quotient, Analytical Hierarchy Process, and Exponential Comparative Method. The criteria used are based on seven normative criteria. The results showed that plantation and horticultural crops were the basis of sectors in the 2016-2020 survey, with values of 2,1036 and 1,3879. Based on the analytical hierarchy process and exponential comparative method analysis, it is seen that there are many leading commodities in the agriculture sector. These commodities are orange fruit, durian, banana, mushrooms, chili, coffee, and sugarcane.

Abstract

PT Sehat Sejahtera Bersama is a business that produces soy beverages. There are currently no established guidelines for equipment arrangement at the PT Sehat Sejahtera Bersama facility. The flow of industrial processes is not considered by the machines used in it. As a result, there is less space for employees to move around, and time is wasted doing repetitive tasks, making the industrial process less effective and lowering output. The blocplan technique is the approach taken to overcome this problem. The facility layout problem at PT Sehat Sejahtera Bersama can be solved using this approach by considering the final layout, material transportation distance, degree of relationship closeness, and area requirements. The area at PT Sehat Sejahtera Bersama is 244.33 m², and the total space required is 647,1 m². In the suggested layout, which is the 17th layout out of 20 possible layouts, the choice of the blocplan method is based on the R-Score value, which is almost the same or close to 1.

Abstract

Susu sapi segar merupakan bahan pangan bergizi tinggi yang mudah rusak akibat aktivitas mikroba dan enzim. Proses pemanasan konvensional seperti pasteurisasi dan sterilisasi termal dapat memperpanjang umur simpan, tetapi berpotensi menurunkan kualitas sensori dan nilai gizi. Oleh karena itu, teknologi non-termal seperti High Pulsed Electric Field (HPEF) dan penyinaran ultraviolet (UV) mulai dikembangkan sebagai alternatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh frekuensi dan lama waktu perlakuan kombinasi HPEF – UV terhadap mutu susu sapi segar, dengan parameter warna (lightness, redness, yellowness), pH, dan EC (electrical conductivity). Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengkombinasikan dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah frekuensi HPEF (10, 20, dan 30 Hz), sedangkan faktor kedua adalah lama waktu perlakuan (10, 15, dan 20 menit). Parameter warna diuji menggunakan colorimeter, pH dan EC diukur menggunakan water quality tester, dan data dianalisis menggunakan two-way ANOVA serta uji lanjut DMRT pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa frekuensi dan lama waktu perlakuan berpengaruh nyata terhadap semua parameter mutu. Nilai lightness (L*) dan redness (a*) menurun dengan meningkatnya frekuensi dan durasi perlakuan, menandakan sedikit penggelapan warna dan penurunan rona kemerahan akibat perubahan struktur protein dan lemak. Sebaliknya, nilai yellowness (b*) meningkat signifikan, menunjukkan penguatan rona kekuningan. Perlakuan HPEF – UV juga mampu mempertahankan kestabilan pH, mengindikasikan inaktivasi enzim penghasil asam dan penurunan aktivitas mikroba. Sementara nilai EC menurun pada frekuensi rendah, namun meningkat kembali pada frekuensi tinggi akibat pelepasan ion-ion bebas dari efek elektroporasi ireversibel

Abstract

This study investigates the progression of scholarly literature concerning the implementation of Financial Accounting Standards for Entities Without Public Accountability (SAK ETAP) over the period 2015 to 2025. Employing a descriptive analytical approach, the research incorporates literature comparison and triangulation methods to synthesize findings. The results indicate that approximately 80% of theoretical and empirical developments related to the application of SAK ETAP—particularly within Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and cooperatives—remain concentrated on several key areas: the analysis and enhancement of implementation practices, training initiatives, governmental support mechanisms (such as public dissemination), and the educational backgrounds of stakeholders involved in preparing financial statements in accordance with SAK ETAP. This is substantiated by a review of literature on SAK ETAP from 2015 to 2025, which continues to reflect a gap in theoretical advancement. Notably, the research has yet to explore the development of SAK ETAP theory influenced by the online software system introduced by the central government through the Directorate General of Taxes. Furthermore, a newly emerging framework known as the Private Entity SAK has been introduced as of early 2025, signaling a potential shift in the regulatory landscape.

Abstract

Teknologi micro nano bubble ozon merupakan teknologi pengawetan non termal yang mengkombinasikan teknologi ozon dan teknologi gelembung mikro-nano dengan system difuser diharapkan dapat mempertahankan kualitas dan keamanan pangan, dan menjadi alternatif solusi permasalahan penolakan ekspor ikan tuna. Tujuan studi ini adalah menurunkan semaksimal mungkin kandungan histamin dan mempertahankan kualitas kimiawi ikan tuna sehingga memenuhi syarat kualitas dan kemanan pangan untuk konsumsi, perdagangan dan ekspor. Metoda penelitian yang dilakuan meliputi pengambilan sampel sesuai prosedur standar, pengujian mutu Kadar Histamin, nilai TVBN, Kadar Protein dan Kadar Lemak. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan Teknologi Mikro-nano bubble ozon system diffuser dapat diandalkan untuk menurunkan secara signifikan kandungan histamin dan mempertahankan kualitas kimiawi sehingga memberikan jaminan keamanan pangan. Sistem injeksi difuser merupakan teknologi mikro-nano bubble ozon yang dapat menurunkan semua parameter pengamatan. Pencucian MNBO system diffuser dengan dimensi bak pencuci ukuran 154 cm x 104 cm dan 80 cm, generator ozon kapasitas 20 g per jam, dan waktu kontak ozon untuk pencucian kedelai edamame system diffuser selama selama 30 menit merupakan kondisi aman untuk menghasilkan kualitas edamame yang berkualitas dan aman bagi Kesehatan..

Abstract

Rembangan Dairy Farm merupakan sentra produksi susu segar dan susu pasteurisasi di kawasan wisata Rembangan, Jember. Namun, proses pengolahan yang masih bergantung pada pasteurisasi konvensional menyebabkan mutu sensoris mudah menurun dan tidak mampu mengatasi mikroorganisme termodur, sehingga keamanan dan umur simpan produk masih terbatas. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan mutu dan keamanan susu melalui penerapan teknologi sterilisasi non-termal berbasis High Pulsed Electric Field–Ultraviolet (HPEF–UV) serta penguatan kapasitas mitra dalam pengoperasian alat. Pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi identifikasi kondisi mitra, perancangan dan pembuatan alat HPEF–UV, serta diseminasi melalui sosialisasi penggunaan alat, dan troubleshooting. Evaluasi keberdayaan dilakukan melalui wawancara terstruktur dan observasi berbasis checklist untuk menilai peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan teknis mitra. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman mitra terhadap prinsip sterilisasi non-termal, fungsi komponen alat, dan tahapan kerja dalam SOP. Mitra juga mampu mengoperasikan alat secara mandiri dan menangani masalah teknis dasar. Implementasi teknologi HPEF–UV memberikan solusi terhadap keterbatasan pasteurisasi serta meningkatkan kesiapan mitra untuk menghasilkan susu yang lebih aman, stabil, dan kompetitif sebagai produk unggulan wisata Rembangan. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa transfer teknologi tepat guna dapat memperkuat keberdayaan mitra sekaligus meningkatkan nilai tambah produk peternakan lokal.

Abstract

This manuscript is a written work from a community service activity, namely a collaborative package of activity implementers from the Jember State Polytechnic with Industrial partners PT. Tagani Sukses Makmur. The innovation of Micro Bubble Ozone (MBO) technology is a research result that can be applied to the edamame soybean washing process because this ozone technology can decontaminate microorganisms and reduce pesticide residues in edamame soybeans. This activity includes a Reverse Osmosis water filter technology package and MBO washing equipment, assistance with tool operation; training in the frozen edamame production process referring to SOPs according to GMP and HACCP. This manuscript is our latest written work, it has never been published in other journals before and I really hope that this manuscript can be published in Komunita, a journal of Community Service and Empowerment
