Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain a chemical practicum KIT as an effective learning medium to train students' science process skills in scientific method, polar and non-polar covalent compounds, electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions. This study uses a 4-D research model which includes the stages of defining, designing, developing, and distributing. However, in this study only limited to the development stage. The results of the research obtained showed that classical completeness in the posttest workmanship on all three materials was 100%. While the increase in learning outcomes aspects of science process knowledge and skills in the three materials are in the category of "medium" and "high". Based on the results, it can be concluded that the practicum KIT learning media is effective for training science process skills in scientific method, polar and non-polar covalent compounds, electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions.

Abstract

Abstract. The research aims to get answers to whether chemistry learning with computer-based games as learning media can create fun learning (edutainment). The study was conducted on students in three high schools in chemistry learning according to plan, during the learning activities were observed by students, before and after learning the learning outcomes tests and student questionnaires were conducted. The results showed that learning activities were 90.4% to 92.0% as expected, 90% to 100% of students stated that learning was fun with games as learning media, and learning outcomes had achieved 93% to 100% classical completeness. These results indicate that the use of computer-propelled games as chemical learning media can create chemical learning that pleases students and can be used by teachers as an alternative to edutainment chemistry learning

Abstract

Mata pelajaran kimia adalah salah satu dari mata pelajaran yang juga harus dilakukan penilaian. Namun yang sering dilakukan adalah penilaian produk dan sikap ilmiah. Sementara mata pelajaran kimia merupakan bagian dari sains, dan hakikat sains mencakup tiga hal yaitu 1) produk ilmiah, 2) proses ilmiah dan 3) sikap ilmiah (Mariana dan Praginda, 2009). Produk ilmiah dapat berupa konsep, prinsip, hukum dan teori. Proses ilmiah mencakup perumusan masalah, perumusan hipotesis, pengumpulan data, menganalisis data dan menyimpulkan. Keterampilan melaksanakan proses sains ini biasa dikenal dengan istilah keterampilan proses sains. Sikap ilmiah meliputi keteguhan hati, ketekunan, keingintahuan dan menyingkap rahasia alam.  Dengan demikian penilaian mata pelajaran kimia seharusnya tidak hanya produk dan sikap ilmiah, tetapi juga keterampilan proses sainsnya. Tujuan PKM ini adalah (1) mendeskripsikan pemahaman materi penilaian keterampilan proses sains peserta pelatihan, (2) mendeskripsikan kemampuan peserta pelatihan dalam mengembangkan instrumen penilaian keterampilan proses sains, dan (3) mendeskripsikan respon peserta pelatihan terhadap kegiatan pelatihan pengembangan instrumen penilaian keterampilan proses sains ini. Kegiatan pelatihan ini terdiri atas beberapa langkah: (1) Pembelajaran selama beberapa jam oleh tim PKM peserta pelatihan yaitu guru-guru Mapel Kimia SMA Kabupaten Sumenep dalam rangka  penyegaran materi penilaian keterampilan proses sains, (2) Tim PKM memberikan tes pemahaman peserta terhadap materi pengembangan instrumen penilaian KPS, (3) Tim PKM memberi tugas peserta untuk mengembangkan instrumen penilaian KPS, dan (4) Tim PKM memberikan angket kepada peserta untuk mendapatkan data respon peserta terhadap pelaksanaan pelatihan pengembangan instrumen penilaian KPS. Instrumen dalam kegiatan pelatihan ini meliputi (1) Tes tulis  untuk mengukur pemahaman peserta tentang penilaian keterampilan proses sains, (2) Lembar penilaian kemampuan peserta dalam mengembangkan instrumen penilaian KPS dan (3) Angket untuk mengukur respon peserta terhadap pelaksanaan pelatihan pengembangan instrumen penilaian keterampilan proses sains. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah 1) Pemahaman materi pengembangan instrumen penilaian KPS peserta pelatihan dinyatakan tuntas secara klasikal dengan ketuntasan 85,7%, 2) Ketujuh peserta pelatihan telah mengembangkan dengan baik instrumen penilaian KPS untuk satu topik pembahasan kelas X, XI dan XII mapel kimia, 3) Peserta memberikan respon secara baik terhadap pelatihan pengembangan instrumen penilaian KPS. Adapun saran untuk kegiatan PKM ini adalah 1) tugas pengembangan instrumen penilaian KPS terkait jumlah KPS-nya diperbanyak, 2) perlu pendampingan di kelas-kelas dalam rangka penerapan KPS dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) di Kabupaten Kediri. Tujuan kegiatan adalah kemampuan guru kimia dalam menyusun artikel ilmiah berbasis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dan respon guru selama mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan. Langkah-langkah kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan adalah kegiatan penyegaran materi penyusunan artikel ilmiah berbasis PTK. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan angket kepada peserta untuk mendapatkan data respon terhadap pelaksanaan pelatihan dan penilaian terhadap artikel ilmiah yang dihasilkan oleh peserta pelatihan. Berdasarkan data hasil pelatihan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) respon peserta pelatihan sangat baik terhadap pelatihan ini, (2) kemampuan guru MGMP Kimia di Kabupaten Kediri dalam menyusun artikel ilmiah adalah baik.Kata Kunci: pelatihan, artikel ilmiah, PTK

Abstract

This research aims to test the development of an android-based Kimi Kimo Adventure game which is feasible as a learning media for Chemical Bonding material at SMK Negeri 1 Driyorejo Gresik. The feasibility of the Kimi Kimo Adventure game is reviewed in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Validity in terms of content validity and construct validity obtained from the validation results of 3 experts, namely 2 chemistry lecturers at Universitas Negeri Surabaya and 1 chemistry teacher at SMK Negeri 1 Driyorejo Gresik. Practicality was obtained from the results of student observations and student response questionnaires. While the effectiveness is obtained from the students learning outcomes. The research method that was used is research and development carried out until a limited trial. The limited trial was carried out in 18 students from class X at SMK Negeri 1 Driyorejo Gresik. The data that has been obtained from the limited trial of the Kimi Kimo Adventure game has a percentage assessment of (1) Validity consisting of content validity which is very valid and construct validity which is very valid, (2) Practicality consisting from the observation result of student activities which is very practical and the results of the response questionnaire which is very practical, (3) Effectiveness consists the value of students’ learning outcomes and the classical completeness between the pretest and posttest has increased. It means the Kimi Kimo Adventure game as a learning media can increase the students’ learning outcomes which means the game that has been developed is very effective for use as learning media on chemical bonds. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the Kimi Kimo Adventure game is appropriate for use as a learning medium.

Abstract

The purpose of the research are to develop CIHOE "Chemistry Island: Heaven Of Elements” game as a learning media in elemental chemistry material and also to test the validity, practicality and the effectiveness of the game. The method that used in this research is Gall and Borg development model. The steps are limited to the preliminary field testing. The preliminary field testing step was conducted using one group pretest posttest design. The instrument that used are validation questionnaire, observation sheet, student’s response questionnaire, pretest and posttest questions. Data collection were conducted with 15 students of SMAN 1 Menganti. The validity of the game is 91,25 %, which means very valid. The practicality value of the game is 92,6 % which means very easy to operate and useful. The observation result of the student’s learning activity is 98,57 %. The classical completeness at the pretest is 13 %, while in the posttest reaches 93 %. It means that CIHOE game is very effective to be used as a learning media in elemental chemistry material. By the development of CIHOE game, researcher hopes that it will help chemistry teachers to explain elemental chemistry material.

Abstract

Bibliometric analysis related to cooperative learning methods is a new theme and has never been studied. The research pattern related to cooperative learning methods is still uncharted and it is not known how effective it is when analyzed from several previous studies. Cooperative learning chemistry concepts provide suitable solutions for improving activity of students and chemistry learning outcomes. This study aims to demonstrate an all-compassing bibliometric analysis in the terms and concepts of ‘cooperative learning’. The articles evaluated were identified through Google Scholar database as well as the perish or publish software. Furthermore, scimagojr.com (Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4) was adopted during scanning, and a total of 19 articles were analyzed from 7 reliable journals. This research using literature review method. The type of research used a bibliometric review in five measures method pioneered. These five steps describe the keyword of the search as cooperative learning chemistry, initial search results, improvement of these results, collection of initial data statistics and data analysis, as explained below. The results showed the practice of cooperative learning in chemistry is being widely accepted. However, there is a need for further research and Collaborations on inter-regional studies involving Asian scholars and developed nations in particular regions. The results showed that more than 75% of cooperative learning has a significant effect on learning outcomes. The learning model is an external factor that affects learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media permainan zuper abase berbasis android sebagai media pembelajaran asam basa yang ditinjau dari kelayakan permainan. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan yang diadaptasi dari Borg dan Gall yang dilakukan hingga tahap uji coba terbatas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 3 Sidoarjo dan dilakukan uji coba terbatas kepada 33 peserta didik di kelas XI MIPA 2. Kelayakan permainan berbasis android zuper abase ditinjau dari aspek validitas. Validitas ini didapatkan dari validasi 2 orang dosen kimia dan 1 guru kimia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa permainan zuper abase yang dikembangkan layak sebagai media pembelajaran dibuktikan dengan persentase validitas isi sebesar 86,11% dan persentase validasi konstruk sebesar 88,89%.

Abstract

Student worksheets (LKPD) are a series of learning tools that affect the learning process's optimization. This study aims to describe student worksheets' validity with blended learning orientation to improve students' scientific literacy skills in oxidation-reduction reaction material. The research used is development research with the Nieveen development method with two stages: preliminary research and prototyping. The validity of the LKPD was obtained from the validation assessment of three expert validators in chemistry, namely two chemistry lecturers and one chemistry teacher. The instrument used was a LKPD validation sheet. The evaluation of the validation results of the LKPD showed that the percentage of content validity was 81.7%, and the construct validity was 84.7%. Thus, this study's results indicate that student worksheets with blended learning orientation to training scientific literacy skills can be declared valid.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari media permainan Simple NOMIC berbasis Androidterhadap respon dan aktiviats dari peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D). Penelitian yang dilakukan hanya sampai langkah uji coba terbatas pada tahap pengembangan. Uji coba terbatas dilakukan terhadap 12 peserta didik kelas X di SMAN 1 Manyar Gresik. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen hasil angket respon peserta didik dan hasil observasi aktivitas peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa observasi aktivitas peserta didik selama uji coba terbatas mendapatkan persentase rata-rata sebesar 96.75% pada kategori sangat baik dan respon peserta didik yang positif mendapatkan persentase sebesar 95.33% pada kategori sangat baik.
