Abstract

The main goal of this research to develop the cognitive assessment instrument based on science process skills in colligative properties of non-electrolyte solution and describe teachers responses about it. There were 5 essay questions to measure the basic KPS (observe, predict, communicate, and inference) in the cognitive assessment which has developed by the student. Based on result of expert validation to content suitability, construction and ability aspects, the developed cognitive assessment instrument that developed have high validity. Teachers also gave their responses that cognitive assessment instrument have high validity.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen asesmen kognitif berbasis KPS pada materi sifat koligatif larutan non-elektrolit, mendeskripsikan tanggapan guru dan mendeskripsikan karakteristik instrumen asesmen kognitif yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain RD. Instrumen asesmen kognitif yang dikembangkan terdiri dari 5 soal uraian yang menilai KPS dasar yaitu keterampilan mengamati, memprediksi, menginferensi, dan mengomunikasikan. Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli terhadap aspek kesesuaian isi, konstruksi, dan keterbacaan, instrumen asesmen kognitif ini dikategorikan sangat tinggi. Hasil tanggapan guru terhadap instrumen asesmen kognitif dikategorikan sangat tinggi.Kata kunci: asesmen, keterampilan proses sains, sifat koligatif larutan non-elektrolit

Abstract

This research is purposed to describe the effectiveness of  SBEI model  to improve student’s skill in inducting and considering induction result. This research population is all students of XI Science SMA Negeri 3 Kotabumi. This research uses experiment quasi method with Non Equivalent (Pretes and Posttest) Control Group Design. The sample is taken by purposive sampling technique and used XI Science 2 as experiment class and XI Science 3 as control class. The effectiveness of SBEI model is measured based on improvement of n-Gain score which is significant between control class and experiment class. The result of research shows that the average of n-Gain score student’s skill in inducting and considering induction result to control class and experiment class is 0,38 and 0,61. Based on hypotesis test, it is known that experiment class with SBEI model has inducting and considering induction result skill which is higher than control class with conventional learning. This result shows that SBEI model is more effective to improve student’s skill in inducting and considering induction result.Keywords : SBEI model, student’s skill in inducting and considering induction result

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of scientific approach to improve the flexibility skill in electrolyte and non electrolyte solution learning.  The method of the research was quasi experimental with Non Equivalent (Pretest-Posttest) Control Grup Design.  The population of this research was students of grade 10 SMA N 5 Bandarlampung in even semester of academic year 2013-2014.  Sampling was taken by purposive sampling and obtained class X2 as experimental class and X3 as control class.  The effectiveness of scientific approach in the learning was showed by the significant difference of n-Gain between experiment and control class.  The results showed that the average of the flexibility skill n-Gain of control class and experiment class were 0,39 and 0,63 respectively.  The results of hypothesis testing showed that scientific approach was effective to improve the flexibility skill in electrolyte and non electrolyte learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan ilmiah dalam meningkatkan keterampilann fleksibilitas pada pembelajaran larutan  elektrolit dan nonelektrolit.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent (Pretest-Posttest) Control Grup Design.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA N 5 Bandarlampung semester genap Tahun Pelajaran 2013-2014.  Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sampling dan diperoleh kelas X2 sebagai kelas ekperimen dan X3 sebagai kelas kontrol.  Efektivitas pendekatan ilmiah pada pembelajaran ditunjukkan berdasarkan perbedaan n-Gain yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata n-Gain keterampilan fleksibilitas untuk kelas kontrol dan eksperimen masing-masing sebesar 0,39 dan 0,63.  Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan ilmiah efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan fleksibilitas pada pembelajaran larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit.Kata kunci: keterampilan fleksibilitas, larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit, pendekatan ilmiah

Abstract

This research is to describe the abilities to find similarities and diffe­rences and to indentify the conclusion of colloid subject using problem solving to high, middle, and low group of students.  The subject were student of XI IPA5 class in SMAN 1 Natar, academic year 2012/2013 that.  This research used pre-experimental method, and one-shot case study design.  The result shows that ability to find the similarities and differences are, in high group 40% were excellent and 60% is good. In middle group, 20% were excellent, 55% were good and 25% were enough. And in low group, 40% were good, 40% were enough and 20% were poor. The ability to identify the conclusion, in high group, 40% were a excellent criteria and 60% were a good criteria.  In middle group 15% were excellent, 50% were good and 35% were enough.  And in low group, 30% were good, 50% were enough and 20% were poor.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan mencari persamaan dan perbedaan serta mengidentifikasi kesimpulan pada materi koloid menggunakan model pembelajaran problem solving untuk siswa kelompok tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA5 Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013 SMA N 1 Natar.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-experimental dan one-shot case study design.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan. Pada kelompok tinggi 40% berkriteria sangat baik dan 60% baik; kelompok sedang 20% berkriteria sangat baik, 55% baik dan 25% cukup; sedangkan untuk kelompok rendah 40% berkriteria baik, 40% cukup dan 20% kurang. Keterampilan mengidentifikasi kesimpulan untuk kelompok tinggi 40% berkriteria sangat baik dan 60% baik; kelompok sedang 15% berkriteria sangat baik, 50% baik dan 35% cukup, sedangkan untuk kelompok rendah 30% berkriteria baik, 50% cukup dan 20% kurang.Kata kunci : kemampuan mencari persamaan dan perbedaan, kemampuan mengidentifikasi kesimpulan, problem solving.

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness in problem-based learning pollution bleach waste to improving creative thinking skills. The research design used was the matching only pretest and postest control group design. The population in this research was all of students in grade XI IPA one of Senior High School in Bandarlampung, the sample of the research are XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 5 that obtained by purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used was parametric statistic test using t-test to postestt value. The results of this study it can be seen from postest value. Postest value in the experiment class that is greater than the postest value in the control class as well as the n-gain on the medium categorized in the experimental class and in the low control class indicate that problem-based learning model of pollution bleach liquid wastecan improve students' creative thinking skills.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis masalah pencemaran limbah pemutih dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah the matching only pretest and postest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA salah satu SMA di Bandarlampung, dengan sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI IPA 2 dan XI IPA 5 yang diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji statistik parametrik menggunakan uji t terhadap nilai postes. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dilihat berdasarkan nilai postes yang ditunjukkan. Nilai postes di kelas eksperimen yang lebih besar daripada nilai postes di kelas kontrol dan juga n-gain  yang berkategori sedang di kelas eksperimen dan di kelas kontrol berkategori rendah menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis masalah pencemaran limbah pemutih dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa.Kata kunci: pembelajaran berbasis masalah, pencemaran limbah pemutih, keterampilan berpikir kreatif

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop worksheet and describe the characteristics of the worksheet, worksheet validity, as well as to describe the teachers and students responses to the product. The characteristics of this worksheet are provided by images and videos based on chemical representation and five stage of science procces skill. This research used Borg and Gall design of research and development (R D) with only focused on the first five stage. Research data were analyzed using descriptive statistics analysis. The expert validation results show that the percentage of content suitability aspects to the curriculum is 95.4% with very high criteria, while construction and readability aspects were 76.19%, 79.86% with high criteria. The percentage of teacher responses on the content suitability, readability, and attractiveness aspects were 100%, 87.44%, and 94.44% with very high criteria, and the percentage of students' responses on aspects of readability and attractiveness were 76.47 % and 79.92% with high criteria. Based on the results, the product generated by this research is valid and worthy to be used as a learning media in school.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan LKS dan mendeskripsikan karakteristik LKS, validitas LKS, tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap produk. Karakteristik LKS berupa gambar dan video berbasis representasi kimia dan dilengkapi oleh 5 tahap dari keterampilan proses sains. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development (RD) menurut Borg dan Gall dengan fokus pada lima tahap pertama. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan bahwa persentase aspek kesesuaian isi terhadap kurikulum sebesar 95,4% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi, sedangkan aspek konstruksi dan keterbacaan berturut-turut sebesar 76,19%, 79,86% dengan kriteria tinggi. Persentase tanggapan guru pada aspek kesesuaian isi, keterbacaan, dan kemenarikan berturut-turut sebesar 100%, 87,44% , dan 94,44% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi, serta persentase tanggapan siswa pada aspek keterbacaan dan kemenarikan berturut-turut sebesar 76,47% dan 79,92% dengan kriteria tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, produk yang dihasilkan dinyatakan valid dan layak digunakan sebagai media belajar di sekolah.Kata kunci: Interaksi antar partikel, LKS, representasi kimia

Abstract

The aimed of research was to describe the increase of students’ skill in identify variables and describe the correlational between  variables on Learning Cycle 3E (LC 3E) model. Quasi-Experimental method was used in this research, with Non Equivalent (Pretest-Postest) Control Group Design. The population of this research was students of XI IPA SMA N 1 Way Jepara, Lampung Timur, with XI scince 2 and XI scince 3 class as sample. The increase of students’ skill in identify variables and describe the correlational between  variables measured with the difference of a significant normalized gain (n-Gain). The results show that mean value of n-Gain identify variables skill in control and experimental classes were 0.19 and 0.34, and the mean value of n-Gain describe the correlational between variables skill in control and experimental classes were 0.07 and 0,32. Based on data analysis which used t-test and n-Gain, it was concluded that the LC 3E learning model can increasing students’ skill in identify variables and describe the correlational between  variables. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan mengidentifikasi variabel dan mendes­kripsikan hubungan antar variabel melalui learning cycle 3 phase (LC 3E). Penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent (Pretest-Postest) Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Way Jepara, Lampung Timur, dengan kelas XI IPA 2 dan XI IPA 3 sebagai sampel. Peningkatan keterampilan mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan hubungan antar variabel diukur dengan perbedaan gain yang ternormalisai (n-Gain) yang signifikan. Hasil penelitian menunjuk­kan rerata n-Gain  keterampilan mengidentifikasi variabel kelas kontrol dan eksperi­men masing-masing 0,19 dan 0,34; dan rerata n-Gain keterampilan mendes­kripsi­kan hubungan antar variabel untuk kelas kontrol dan eksperimen masing-masing 0,07 dan 0,32.  Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t dan n-Gain, disimpulkan bahwa model learning cycle 3E dapat mening­katkan keteram­pilan mengidentifikasi variabel dan mendeskripsikan hubungan antar variabel siswa.Kata kunci: keterampilan mendeskripsikan hubungan antar variabel, keterampilan mengidentifikasi variabel, Learning Cycle 3E.

Abstract

The research and development about performance assessment on experiment of determining the system type has been done. The performance assessment instrument which has been developed having the characteristics of among others a simple product, efficient, and easy to be used. Based on validation, validator gave an assess to construction, readability, and product suitability aspects in very high criteria with the percentage of them were 93.33%, 86.67%, and 100%, respectively. In other hands, teachers also gave and assess to them aspects in high criteria persentage of them were 73.34%, 80%,, dan 80%, respectively. Base on the result, performance assessment instrument which has been developed was said simple, efficient, and easy to be used.Penelitian dan pengembangan ini telah mengembangkan instrumen asesmen kinerja menentukan jenis-jenis sistem. Instrumen penilaian kinerja yang telah dikembangkan memiliki karakteristik antara lain produk yang sederhana, efisien, dan mudah untuk digunakan. Hasil validasi ahli terhadap aspek konstruksi, keterbacaan, dan keterpakaian produk berturut-turut yaitu 93,33%, 86,67%, dan 100% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi. Tanggapan guru terhadap aspek konstruksi, keterbacaan dan keterpakaian produk berturut-turut yaitu 73,3%, 80%, 80%. Instrumen asesmen kinerja yang telah dikembangkan dikatakan sederhana, efisien, dan mudah untuk digunakan.Kata kunci: instrumen asesmen kinerja, penelitian dan pengembangan, sistem dan lingkungan, termokimia

Abstract

The aim of this research were to find out and to describe enhancement of  giving reason skill and exciting conclusion skill and mastery of concept by problem based learning on reduction oxidation reaction material. The population of this research was all student of the first grade of SMAN 1 Rumbia in academic year 2011-2012 where class X4 and class X5 were the sample of the research. this research used a quasi  experiments method with non equivalent control group design and parametric test with t' test. The effectiveness of problem based learning model was measured based on the increasing of significant n-Gain. The result of the research showed that n-Gain average of giving reason skill for eksperimen class and control class was 0,46 and 0,31; n-Gain average of exciting conclusion skill for eksperimen class and control class was 0,51 and 0,17; and n-Gain average of mastery of concept  for eksperimen class and control class was 0,41 and -0,51.Based on hypotesis testing, it is known that student in experiment class where was applied by problem based learning model had higher giving reason skill, exciting conclusion skill and mastery of concept than the class that applied conventional learning.  It is proved that problem based learning model was effective in increasing giving reason skill, exciting conclusion skill and mastery of concept on reduction oxidation reaction material.Keyword:  problem based learning, giving reason skill, exciting conclusion skill, mastery of concept.

Abstract

This research was aimed to develop a practical tool of catalyst effect on the reaction rate of quantitatively based on scraps wares. This research used research and development design until main product revision. Based on the design validation of practical tool developed, it showed that very good criteria for all aspects assessed. The results of the feasibility validation of practical tool showed that of all the aspects assessed that have very good criteria. The assessment to this tool included aspects of the relationship with the teaching materials, accuracy, resistances tool, safety for students, the efficiency of use tools and educational value. The results of the functioning test showed that very good criteria, as well as on the results of the responses of teachers and students were also showed that very good criteria. Based on the result, it can be conclude that this practical tools developed are feasible for use in learning activities.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat praktikum pengaruh katalis terhadap laju reaksi secara kuantitatif berbasis barang bekas. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian dan pengembangan sampai tahap revisi hasil uji coba. Berdasarkan hasil validasi terhadap desain alat praktikum yang dikembangkan, menunjukkan kriteria baik sekali pada semua aspek yang dinilai. Hasil validasi kelayakan alat praktikum menunjukkan bahwa semua aspek yang dinilai memiliki kriteria kelayakan baik sekali. Penilaian pada alat ini meliputi aspek keterkaitan dengan bahan ajar, keakuratan, ketahanan alat, keamanan bagi siswa, efisiensi penggunan alat dan nilai pendidikan. Hasil uji keberfungsian menunjukkan kriteria baik sekali, begitupun pada hasil tanggapan guru dan siswa juga menunjukkan kriteria baik sekali. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, alat praktikum yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak untuk digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran.Kata kunci: alat praktikum, barang bekas, katalis, laju reaksi
