Abstract

Sustainable palm oil certification has become a global demand, particularly in the market. However, the implementation of both Roundtable of Sustainable Palm Oli (RSPO) and Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certification schemes is relatively slow. This study aims to analyze to what extent incentives can accelerate sustainable palm oil certification, from what sources those incentives can be arranged, and types of incentives are appropriate for palm oil smallholders. The research uses quantitative and qualitative methods based on literature reviews, in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, and a survey of 455 farmers in two Indonesian provinces (Riau and West Kalimantan). Based on quantitative analysis, the reasons behind more progressive certification achievements in Riau remain unrevealed while in West Kalimantan, Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) price, easiness to obtaining loans with low interest, and easiness of selling FFB have a significant influence on accelerating certification. Using a qualitative approach, smallholders show their expectation of having incentives. In Riau, incentives expected are higher FFB prices and a simpler procedure to get the Environmental Management Statement (SPPL) document. In West Kalimantan, higher FFB prices and availability of low interest loans are expected to become incentives. These incentives can be mobilized from intergovernmental fiscal transfer mechanisms such as revenue-sharing mechanisms, export levies, and environmental funds. Smallholders also expect clarity of incentives generated from ISPO certification, particularly in price and market access, which requires the government’s initiative to develop synergy with various stakeholders. To be practical, incentives were not only for smallholders but also for the government officials at the province, district, and village levels, as the position of the local government is very important in preparing, encouraging, and mobilizing farmers, as well as in strengthening institutions for improving palm oil governance. In the implementation of RSPO certification, the collaboration between the Indonesian government (through the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises) and the RSPO becomes clear evidence of central government support. At the sub-national level, the Riau and West Kalimantan Provinces have developed the Regional Action Plans (RAD) for sustainable palm oil as a policy commitment to accelerate both RSPO and ISPO certification.

Abstract

Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) merupakan lembaga sertifikasi kelapa sawit yang akan memberikan standar kualitas produk-produk minyak sawit. Sertifikat ISPO wajib dimiliki setiap produsen minyak sawit dan turunannya di wilayah Indonesia. Proses sertifikasi sangat berat dan pekebun secara individual menghadapi berbagai kendala. Perguruan Tinggi sebagai institusi pendidikan khususnya Jurusan Agribisnis Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Riau memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung pemahaman pekebun kelapa sawit terhadap sertifikasi ISPO. Maka berdasarkan kondisi ini dilakukan kegiatan Pelatihan Pengenalan Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) bagi Alumni Jurusan Agribisnis Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Riau untuk Mendukung Pengembangan Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit Berkelanjutan. Hasil perbandingan pre-test dan post-test pada pelatihan ISPO menunjukkan peningkatan persentase pemahaman peserta. Setelah pemaparan materi pelatihan, 100 persen peserta menyatakan telah memahami ISPO yang meningkat dari sebelum pelatihan 81 persen, dan 59 persen memahami konsep, prinsip dan penerapan ISPO dalam pembangunan perkebunan kelapa sawit berkelanjutan yang meningkat dari sebelum pelatihan nol persen.

Abstract

The conversion of rubber trees to oil palm is a collaborative effort by smallholders affiliated with the Wisma Tani KUD and PTPN V. The collaboration exists to help smallholders who are struggling to get funding to convert rubber plants to oil palm. The purpose of this research is to identify the characteristics of smallholders who took part in the conversion of rubber plants to oil palm at Wisma Tani KUD Rokan Hulu Regency. Understanding the extent of smallholder engagement in the implementation of rubber to oil palm conversion activities at Wisma Tani KUD Rokan Hulu Regency. Understanding the impact of smallholder characteristics on smallholder participation in the implementation of rubber to oil palm conversion operations at Wisma Tani Hulu Regency KUD Rokan. This study used cluster random sampling and was done in Hot Water Village, Pendalian IV Koto District, Rokan Hulu Regency, with a sample of 40 respondents. Descriptive statistical analysis and multiple regression analysis were employed. According to the findings of this study, smallholder participation in the planning stage is high, medium in the execution stage, high in the evaluation stage, and high in the exploitation of results. Education and land area have a substantial effect on smallholder involvement, whereas age, experience, and income have no significant effect on smallholder participation.

Abstract

Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) merupakan standariasasi untuk perkebunan kelapa sawit berkelanjutan di Indonesia. Perpres Nomor 44 Tahun 2020 mengatur setiap perusahaan dan petani swadaya di Indonesia wajib memiliki sertifikasi ISPO paling lambat 2025. Peraturan Menteri Pertanian No 38 tahun 2020 pasal 53 mengatakan bahwa pekebun dapat mengajukan bantuan biaya sertifikasi ISPO. Namun hingga tahun 2023 tidak ada besaran biaya bantuan yang jelas bagi pekebun untuk mengurus sertifikasi ISPO. Kabupaten Rokan Hulu memiliki suatu Perkumpulan Pekebun Swadaya Kelapa Sawit Rokan Hulu (PPSKS-RH) yang sudah memiliki sertifikasi ISPO pada tahun 2021. Penelitian menggunakan metode survei dengan jumlah sampel 32 pekebun yang sudah memiliki sertifikasi ISPO dari dua desa di Kecamatan Bangun Purba. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pembiayaan pelatihan, pendampingan, dan sertifikasi awal dalam mengurus sertifikasi ISPO oleh pekebun kelapa sawit swadaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pelatihan yang diberikan kepada pekebun peserta ISPO sebanyak 9 jenis pelatihan, pelatihan pendamping sebanyak 18 jenis, dan pelatihan pengurus organisasi/auditor internal sebanyak 10 jenis pelatihan. Pendampingan yang diberikan ada sebanyak 33 pendampingan sesuai indikator ISPO. Rata-rata besaran biaya pelatihan sebesar Rp 1.717.703,- per pekebun peserta sertifikasi ISPO. Rata-rata besaran biaya pendampingan sebesar Rp 2.507.088,- per pekebun peserta ISPO. Rata-rata biaya sertifikasi awal sebesar Rp 535.095,- per pekebun. Total biaya sertifikasi ISPO sebesar Rp 4.759.886,- per pekebun peserta ISPO.

Abstract

Agency of Asset Cultivation and One Door Integrated Service of Pekanbaru City is an organizer of One Door Integrated Service to handle various businesses of Government in city area. To enhance the quality of public service, so Government of Pekanbaru City forms region set, such as internet media as a main necessity in performing each someone’s work. Hotspot is a wireless internet network that can be accessed by all electronic sets, like as Personal Computer (PC), laptop, tablet and cellular phone. Hotspot also can be used in supporting daily activities to send data packet in certain amount through those electronic sets. Aim of this service is to build up Hotspot Server Networks Agency of Asset Cultivation and One Door Integrated Service of Pekanbaru City to improve public service in the framework to fulfill every body’s basic to conduct every person’s job. Method of this service is a series of activities such as Survey, Interview and Designing of Hotspot Server Network. This service succeed well. The result of this service shows that Bandwidth used for Uploding File are 0.35 Mbps and 0.29 Mbps for Downloading File.

Abstract

This service activity was carried out in accordance with the needs of PT Bank Riau Kepri Syariah to help manage employee data through updating the existing Human Resource Information system (HRIS). The method used is prototyping with the Figma application to design the user interface and PHP and Laravel for system implementation. System testing was carried out using black box testing and usability testing methods. The results of the activity show that this HRIS system update was successfully implemented to assist in data visualization and reporting. This service activity develops the HRIS system to be user-friendly and easy to understand.

Abstract

Di Indonesia, stunting adalah masalah kesehatan yang serius, terutama di kalangan anak balita. Kekurangan nutrisi jangka panjang dan kurangnya akses terhadap layanan kesehatan yang memadai adalah penyebab kondisi ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana akses kesehatan dan gizi seimbang berperan dalam mencegah stunting pada anak balita di Desa Karya Indah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif untuk mengumpulkan data dari observasi lapangan, wawancara dengan tenaga kesehatan, dan analisis program kesehatan lokal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa solusi gizi yang tepat, seperti makanan tambahan yang kaya nutrisi dan akses kesehatan yang lebih baik, sangat berperan dalam menurunkan angka stunting di desa tersebut. Untuk mencegah stunting, kader kesehatan dan keluarga harus berpartisipasi dalam edukasi gizi. Penelitian ini mengusulkan pendidikan gizi yang lebih baik di tingkat rumah tangga dan optimalisasi layanan kesehatan desa sebagai upaya berkelanjutan dalam pencegahan stunting.

Abstract

The research was carried out in the village of Makmur, Kerinci base district of Pelalawan. This research aims to analyze any factors that are significantly related to the participation of farmers in the implementation of the People's Sawit Rejuvenation (PSR) program in the village of Makmur, Kerinci Base district of Pelalawan. The sampling method used in this study is using simple random samplings. The data analysis used in this study is the Spearman Rank correlation test to measure the degree or intensity of the relationship between two variables, the free variable and the bound variable. The results of the research showed that there was a significant relationship between the factors of land size, income, motivation, experience, capital assistance and availability of means of production with the participation of farmers in the implementation of the People's Sawit Rejuvenation (PSR) program in the village of Makmur, Kerinci district. There is a need for increased participation of farmers through agricultural development to improve the capacity in palm coconut rejuvenation activities in the village of Makmur at the Kerinci Base district of Pelalawan, so that it can improve the value of palm farmers' use and it is necessary to monitor and evaluate the accompanying forces continuously so that there are no deviations in the program, so the People's Sawit Rejuvenate (PSR) program can continue for other farmers.

Abstract

Rubbish is items that are no longer used by their owners and are typically discarded. Improperly managed or burned waste can have significant negative impacts. Environmental pollution is one of the main consequences of waste that is carelessly disposed of leading to contamination. Accumulated waste becomes a breeding ground for diseases, such as mosquito and rat infestations, which can carry various illnesses that affect humans. This situation can negatively impact the quality of life and the hygienist of the environment surrounding the waste. Therefore, it is essential to have a container to collect waste in Karya-Indah-Village to maintain a hygienic environment and protect the health of the people living nearby. This Community Service’s purpose is to provide rubbish-bins at the public service facility in Karya-Indah-Village. This activity has received full support from the village authorities. The availability of rubbish-bins, hopefully, will increase public awareness of the negative impacts and dangers of waste and waste burning on health, as well as enhance the community's concern for the environment and health. Thus, the Community Service Team from the University of Riau, together with MBKM Kukerta Unri students, has provided rubbish-bins in Karya-Indah-Village to improve the quality of life in the village.

Abstract

SDN 168 Pekanbaru merupakan sekolah dasar negri yang terletak di Gg. Lestari, Labuh Baru Bar., Kec. Payung Sekaki, Kota Pekanbaru, Riau, mengahadapi masalah dalam penyampaian informasi kepada siswa dan orang tua, sebagai institusi pendidikan memerlukan media informasi yang efektif untuk mendukung komunikasi antara sekolah, siswa, dan orang tua. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk merancang dan mengembangkan website baru yang memberikan informasi komprehensif mengenai sekolah yang mudah diakses. Kegiatan ini melibatkan penulis yang bertindak sebagai pengmbang website dengan metode perancangan web, melibatkan 4 jenis user yakni Kepala Sekolah, Guru Kelas, Adminisrator TU Sekolah dan Administrator Website. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah sebuah website yang mencakup Profil Sekolah, Fasilitas, VisiMisi, Tenaga Pendidik, Galeri dan Berita, yang terbukti meningkatkan pengalaman pengguna dan memudahkan akses informasi bagi seluruh komunitas sekolah. Kesimpulannya, pengembangan website ini berhasil meningkatkan efisiensi komunikasi dan operasional sekolah serta memberikan manfaat yang signifikan bagi seluruh komunitas SDN 168 Pekanbaru.
