Abstract

Penelitian ini diadakan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh layanan informasi terhadap minat warga desa Lalang Tanjung Pura terhadap pendidikan. Menggunakan metodologi penelitian kualitatif yang meliputi deskripsi, dokumentasi, wawacara, dan observasi. Dilakukan di Desa Lalang Provinsi Sumatera Utara, Kecamatan Tanjung Pura, Kabupaten Langkat. Studi ini menunjukkan pentingnya layanan informasi dalam meningkatkan minat masyarakat terhadap pendidikan. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian ini, jelas bahwa penggunaan layanan informasi dapat membentuk potensi siswa (klien) untuk mengakses dan memahami bermacam-macam informasi, seperti detail tentang minat dan pendidikan mereka yang kemudian dapat mereka gunakan untuk mengambil keputusan. yang merupakan kepentingan terbaik mereka. Bukan hanya siswa, tetapi termasuk juga orang tua dan wali.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat layanan informasi terhadap minat pendidikan di Desa Lalang Tanjung Pura. Adapaun penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan jenis penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, deskriptif, dan dokumentasi. Peneliti melakukan penelitian di Desa Lalang, Kecamatan Tanjung Pura, Kabupaten Langkat, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa layanan informasi sangat berguna mengembangkan minat pada pendidikanmasyarakat ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi. Hal ini berarti bahwa dengan melakukan layanan informasi, meningkatkan minat masyarakat untuk mengambil keputusan terhadap kepentingan peserta didik (Klien)

Abstract

Caries is caused by microbial activity of a fermented carbohydrate. The results of Basic Health Research (RISKESDAS) state that the largest proportion of dental problems in Indonesia are damaged/cavities/sick teeth (45.3%). Preventive efforts gargling mouthwash contains antibacterial, long-term use has side effects, so we need herbal ingredients that have antibacterial properties, one of which is celery leaves. This study aims to prove the potential of celery leaf extract (Apium graveolens L.) as a mouthwash ingredient in inhibiting the growth of caries-causing bacteria and being able to reduce the number of bacterial colonies compared to formulary controls without active ingredients. This type of research used laboratory and field experiments with pretest-posttest consisting of the intervention group of celery leaf extract mouthwash formulation concentrations of 30%, 15% and control formulary without active ingredients, the sample consisted of 39 people, the sample was rinsed for 1 minute. Saliva collection before and after gargling. The variables studied the inhibition of bacteria. The results of the inhibition of Streptococcus mutans bacteria carried out by the ANOVA test at a concentration of 15% showed a mean of 5 mm and a concentration of 30% with a mean of 6.2 mm with a p-value of 0.000 which means that there was a significant difference in inhibiting Streptococcus mutans bacteria, while the control had a mean of 0. 0 mm which means there is no resistance formed. The conclusion of this study is that giving celery leaf extract mouthwash Calculate the inhibition zone with a concentration of 15%, 30% being able to inhibit bacteria while the control has no inhibition on Streptococcus mutans bacteria.

Abstract

Interventions in reducing maternal mortality rates and infant mortality rates are not only carried out on pregnant women but must begin before pregnancy, namely on the prospective bride and groom by providing communication, information, education and reproductive health counseling as well as examinations for future bride and groom. Pre-marital counseling is a process of providing assistance by a professional to prospective husband and wife before carrying out marriage and providing provisions and instructions so that they can form a happy household life. The results of an initial study at Banggae 1 community Health centers on January-December 2022, 180 future bride and groom were counseled. Where among them who checked the pregnancy according to standards (KI) as many as 102 people, while the rest were not according to standards. This shows that there are still many future bride and groom who do not have standardized pregnancy checks. Based on these problems, the researcher is interested in examining how the influence of counseling of future bride and groom on mother's compliance in standardized prenatal checks. The purpose study is to determine the effect of counseling prospective brides on mother's compliance in standardized prenatal checks at Banggae 1 community Health centers. This study is quantitative method with a cross sectional study approach. It will be carried out in May 2023 with a population of 119 pregnant women who visited to Banggae 1 Majene Community Health Centers on January-April 2023 and sample of 54 people. The results showed that out of 54 respondents, 10 were in the category of respondents who did not receive counseling, while those who received counseling were 44 respondents. The conclusion is that there is an influence of prospective bride and groom counseling on mother's compliance in carrying out standard pregnancy checks at Banggae 1 Majene community Health centers.

Abstract

The acidity level of saliva pH is one of the factors that influences oral health. In the context of toddlers experiencing stunting, high saliva pH acidity can increase the risk of serious oral health issues. This research aims to explore the potential impact of cassava chips consumption on changes in saliva pH in stunted toddlers. The study utilized an experimental pretest-posttest design. The research population consisted of 190 stunted toddlers in the working area of UPT Puskesmas Pekkae, Barru Regency, in May-July 2023. The sample comprised 16 stunted toddlers selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon statistical test. The research results indicated that the consumption of cassava chips by stunted toddlers during the first four weeks resulted in a significant increase in saliva pH. There was a significant difference between saliva pH levels before and after consumption in the first week (p = 0.002), second week (p = 0.001), third week (p = 0.001), and fourth week (p = 0.001). However, in the fifth week, there was no significant change in saliva pH (p = 0.020). This means that cassava chips can increase saliva pH to a more neutral level in stunted toddlers during the first four weeks, but this change does not continue into the fifth week.

Abstract

Ion exchange is one of the water treatment methods used to reduce hardness. To improve the performance of the ion exchange columns, modification can be done by adding an activated carbon column placed after the ion exchange column to adsorb ions that were not exchanged by the resin so that the treated water met boiler feed water quality standards. The purposes of this study were to determine the best flow rate to reduce hardness in the configuration of the ion exchange and activated carbon columns, determine the saturation time of each column, and determine their exchange/adsorption capacities. The steps of this study included modifications and repair of equipment, leak tests, and configuration system performance tests. Performance tests were conducted by varying the feed flow rates by 0.2; 0.4; 0.6; 0.8; 1 GPM and analyzed the efficiency of hardness reduction. The results of this study showed that the best flow rate to reduce the initial hardness of 499 mg/ L CaCO3 was a flow rate of 0.6 GPM or 2.2 LPM. The efficiency of hardness reduction in the configuration system was 100%. The conductivity of the effluent of anion column and activated carbon column decreased compared to the conductivity of the effluent of cation column with an average decrease of 33.17% in the anion column and 18.35% in the activated carbon column. The saturation time of the configuration system was 168 minutes in cation resin, 46.4 minutes in anion resin, and 159 minutes in activated carbon. Furthermore, the adsorption capacity of cation resin, anion resin, and activated carbon were 35.28 mg/g, 43.98 mg/g, and 9.61 mg/g, respectively. The addition of activated carbon in the configuration system lowers the conductivity of the effluent and decreases hardness.

Abstract

Anak sekolah merupakan sasaran strategis dalam perbaikan gizi masyarakat. Hal ini menjadi penting karena anak sekolah sedang mengalami pertumbuhan secara fisik dan mental yang sangat diperlukan untuk menunjang kehidupannya di masa mendatang (Depkes RI, 2005). Tujuan umum dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat gambaran status gizi murid Sekolah Dasar usia 6-7 tahun di Kecamatan Tinambung Kabupaten Polewali Mandar. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan desain cross-sectional. Pengambilan sampel secara accidental sampling, dengan kriteria inklusi berada ditempat saat pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pada anak usia sekolah (6-7 tahun) berdasarkan indeks IMT menurut umur sebagian besar berada pada status gizi baik namun tetap ditemukan anak dengan status gizi kurang dan gizi lebih. Berdasarkan indeks TB menurut umur, ditemukan bahwa meskipun cukup banyak anak yang tidak mengalami stunting, namun jumlah anak yang mengalami stunting dan stunting berat lebih banyak dibandingkan anak yang tidak mengalami stunting atau normal. Kesimpulan perbaikan gizi pada anak usia sekolah perlu diupayakan oleh banyak pihak termasuk didalamnya adalah orang tua dan keluarga siswa, pihak sekolah, serta pemerintah sebagai penentu kebijakan. Abstract

One of the indicators of a country’s success in improving public health is the reduction in infant mortality rates (IMR). One of the main contributors to the high IMR is Low Birth Weight (LBW). Babies born with LBW tend to experience cognitive developmental disorders, mental retardation, and are more prone to infections that can lead to illness or even death.This study aims to examine the extent to which one of the factors causing low birth weight, namely maternal infectious diseases, is associated with LBW incidence. The research was conducted in Majene Regency, specifically in the East Banggae and Banggae subdistricts. This study employed a cross-sectional design with an accidental sampling method involving 80 respondents. In this study, we observed symptoms of infections such as sore throat, nasal congestion, fever, and cough lasting less than two weeks. Statistical analysis revealed that none of the variables were significant (p-value > 0.05). It is important to conduct further research on the relationship between maternal infectious diseases and LBW, focusing on different study locations. Abstract

Dampak buruk stunting yakni kesulitan dalam mencapai perkembangan fisik dan kognitif yang optimal. Banyak hal yang berhubungan dengan kejadian stunting di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor - faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian stunting pada balita usia 24-59 bulan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah ibu yang memiliki balita usia 24-59 bulan yang berjumlah 1623 balita dengan sampel 94 balita di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Mandiangin Kota Bukittinggi dengan teknik Purposive Sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner ECLS-B Father Self-Administered Questionnaire untuk melihat dukungan ayah dan kuesioner Nilai Budaya dan Gaya Hidup oleh Cahyani et. al. untuk variabel Sosial Budaya terkait pemenuhan nutrisi Balita. Analisis bivariat data yang digunakan adalah dengan uji chi-square Test (a = < 0,05). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan ada hubungan usia ibu saat hamil (p = 0,044), ada hubungan dukungan ayah (p = 0,012), dan sosial budaya (p = 0,002), tidak ada hubungan jumlah anak (p = 0,796) dan pendapatan keluarga (p = 0,654) dengan kejadian stunting. Dapat disimpulkan usia ibu saat hamil, dukungan ayah dan sosial budaya pemenuhan nutrisi merupakan faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian stunting pada balita. Sementara jumlah anak dan pendapatan keluarga bukanlah faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian stunting pada balita. Diharapkan perawat dan nakes dapat meningkatkan penyuluhan tentang stunting dan yang mempengaruhinya pada ibu di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Mandiangin.

Abstract

Karies gigi salah satu masalah gigi yang sering ditemui pada anak-anak karena minimnya pengetahuan mereka mengenai cara menggosok gigi yang tepat dan faktor dari makanan serta lingkungannya. Faktor geografi di Kalimantan Selatan khususnya di Banjarmasin mempengaruhi terjadi karies gigi dimana merupakan daerah rawa yang mempengaruhi rendahnya kadar Ph air sehingga tingkat keasaman air lebih tinggi dibanding daerah lainnya. Tingkat keasaman air dapat mempengaruhi struktur organik gigi dan dapat meluruhkan jaringan email gigi.Hal ini terbukti dengan penyakit gigi berlubang menjadi masalah paling banyak di Kalimantan Selatan,meningkatkan pengetahuan menjaga kebersihan gigi dengan cara rajin menyikat gigi pada anak Edukasi ini menggunakan metode audiovisual karena metode ini melibatkan banyak panca indera dan memiliki daya tarik lebih pada anak-anak Evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman murid tentang masalah karies gigi,cara pencegahan dan penanganannya.Kegiatan edukasi yang diberikan juga perlu diperkuat dalam penerapan dikehidupan sehari-hari dimana anak masih memerlukan pengawasan dari pihak sekolah dan orang tua dirumah.Pada masa anak-anak sangat penting menjaga kondisi gigi decidui yang saat ini menentukan keadaan gigi permanen penggantinya nanti.Setelah diberikannya penyuluhan ini diharapkan anak-anak TK Hasanuddin Madjedie dapat memelihara kesehatan gigi dan bisa memilih makanan yang dikonsumsi.
