Abstract

One of the major challenges in maintaining the quality of food products at the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) scale today is meeting food safety standards. Food safety encompasses the entire process from preparing raw materials to production and reaching consumers. However, some MSME players still lack an understanding of food quality and safety standards, which can directly impact product quality and safety. The aim of the community service activities is to gather data and provide an understanding of food safety knowledge. Methods used include data collection, education, focus group discussions (FGD), as well as pre-test and post-test evaluations of members of the Panarukan MSME group in Wringinanom Village, Panarukan District, Situbondo Regency, East Java. The results of this community service activity include data on the business scale, with the majority being micro businesses, as well as an 11.11% increase in food safety knowledge.

Abstract

The research was conducted to determine the relationship between water quality and body length of arowana fish by measuring several water parameters including temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen and ammonia. In relation to length growth, calculations on SR, SGR are also carried out using ANNOVA. Direct laboratory scale observations were carried out by providing different feeds, including bloodworms, maggot, crickets and live fish with the water source for cultivation activities being well water. The results of observations in the field show that the growth rate of fish in length is influenced by the type of feed given. Giving bloodworms has the most effective value, next to live fish, maggots and crickets. This type of feed also affects the quality of the water used. To maintain success in ornamental fish cultivation, it is recommended to use water efficiently through integrated fish cultivation. Checking the water regularly as well as training of farmers on good management practices and integration is needed to ensure good water quality.

Abstract

Catfish was cultivating by The Sujafish Farm, Cikole District, Sukabumi City, in early 2023. Urban cultivation land is increasingly narrow, feed costs are increasingly expensive, and limited water availability hinders freshwater fish cultivation development in Sukabumi City. One solution to get around this is developing Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) technology. RAS is a cultivation technology where water can be reused after being filtered mechanically and biologically. The maintenance container uses six round ponds with a diameter of 2 m and is filled with water to e height of 0,8 m. The volume of water in each tub is 2.152 L of water. The seeds measured 8 – 10 cm with a density of 318 individuals/m2. The observation parameters were temperature, Ph, DO, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and fish growth. The RAS application has been proven to maintain water quality, temperature, Ph, DO, and ammonia. RAS systems growth and survival value are higher than circulation, so that RAS technology can be an alternative environmental friendly cultivation technology solution in urban areas.

Abstract

Strategi yang ditempuh untuk meningkatkan mutu dan keamanan pangan petis ikan dari desa Kliensari-Panarukan diawali dengan melakukan pendataan dan penyuluhan terkait program ”Cara Produksi Pangan yang Baik untuk Industri Rumah Tangga (CPPB-IRT)” kepada para pelaku usaha skala rumah tangga. CPPB merupakan salah satu faktor penting untuk memenuhi standar mutu atau persyaratan keamanan pangan yang ditetapkan untuk pangan menurut Peraturan Kepala Badan Pengawas Obat Dan Makanan Republik Indonesia. Pendampingan secara berkelanjutan diperlukan untuk penerapan CPPB-IRT di unit pelaku usaha. Melalui penerapan CPPB, industri pangan dapat menghasilkan pangan yang bermutu, layak dikonsumsi, dan aman bagi kesehatan. Keberhasilan penerapan CPPB-IRT akan menjadi hal yang memudahkan untuk pemenuhan persyaratan penerbitan SPP-IRT (Sertifikat Produksi Pangan-Industri Rumah Tangga). SPP-IRT merupakan jaminan tertulis yang diberikan oleh Bupati/Walikota cq. Pemerintah Daerah (Pemda) Kabupaten/Kota terhadap pangan IRT di wilayah kerjanya yang telah memenuhi persyaratan pemberian SPP-IRT dalam rangka peredaran pangan IRT. Nomor P-IRT adalah nomor pangan produksi IRTP yang menjadi bagian tidak terpisahkan dari SPP-IRT dan wajib dicantumkan pada Label Pangan. Dengan demikian SPP-IRT merupakan bukti penyampaian komitmen pelaku usaha akan menjamin keamanan, mutu, dan gizi pangan yang diproduksi untuk diperdagangkan dalam kemasan eceran di wilayah Indonesia. Dengan menghasilkan pangan bermutu, aman dikonsumsi, niscaya kepercayaan masyarakat akan meningkat, dan industri pangan bersangkutan akan berkembang pesat.

Abstract

Perikanan budidaya di Desa Mulyaharja memiliki potensi besar untuk mendukung ketahanan pangan melalui penerapan sistem akuaponik, yang mengintegrasikan budidaya ikan dan tanaman dalam satu ekosistem. Namun, tantangan seperti rendahnya pengetahuan masyarakat, keterbatasan dana, dan kurangnya dukungan infrastruktur menghambat optimalisasi sistem ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengembangan akuaponik sebagai alternatif solusi untuk ketahanan pangan di Desa Mulyaharja. Metode analisis SWOT digunakan untuk mengevaluasi kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman yang dihadapi. Beberapa strategi diusulkan, termasuk edukasi, pengembangan infrastruktur, penerapan teknologi pemantauan kualitas air, serta kerjasama dengan pemerintah dan lembaga swadaya masyarakat. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa akuaponik dapat diterapkan secara berkelanjutan dengan dukungan pelatihan teknis, pengelolaan limbah, dan diversifikasi sumber pendapatan. Dengan strategi ini, Desa Mulyaharja memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan produktivitas, menekan penggunaan lahan dan air, serta memperkuat ketahanan pangan masyarakat secara ekonomis dan ekologis.

Abstract

Family food security can be obtained from the environment closest to where we live, namely by using the right method, one of which is through cultivating fish on limited land or better known as cultivating fish in buckets (budikdamber). This simple cultivation technique is carried out with the concept of planting fish and plants in the same container. So that the results from budikdamber can be the best alternative in meeting the needs of vegetable protein and animal protein in Situgede Village, Bogor-West Java, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition to meeting protein needs, this activity aims to be an alternative to creating jobs, if done with a good cropping pattern. So that fish and cultivated plants can be continuously obtained to meet consumer demand. As a result of the activities carried out, the Budikdamber activity is very good for the community in Situgede Village to continue to develop, because harvesting fish and vegetables can be done at once and repeatedly. This activity also opens up new job opportunities for the community that can be applied to other yards around Situgede Village.

Abstract

Aquaculture within culture techniques is needed to support the optimization of a number of juveniles which sunu grouper natural spawning techniques. To optimize the natural spawning of Sunu Grouper (Plectropomus leopardus) its is needed to know in details about the environment condition. Random design method by using several treatments consisted of one factor, temperature, and consisted of four treatments which are 26, 28, 30, and 32 which were repeated five times. Five steps were conducting start with the preparation, acclimatization of the eggs, stocking, and hatching of the eggs, and larval maintenance. Good quality feed is required to support gonad development and egg quality during brood stock-rearing. Environmental management of culture within culture techniques is needed to support the optimization of the number of juveniles. Temperature changes made by raising and lowering the temperature are a form of stimulation that trigger spawning to occur naturally.Keywords:aquacultureaquatic environmentsunu grouper

Abstract

Ikan bawal bintang merupakan salah satu komoditas ikan laut yang sudah dapat dibudidayakan pada air laut maupun air payau. Pemeliharaan ikan bawal bintang dilakukan pada bak beton dan bak fiber. Pakan yang diberikan berupa pakan alami berupa Nannochloropsis sp., Brachionus pliatilis dan Artemia sp. untuk stadia larva dan pakan pelet untuk stadia benih hingga pembesaran. Pemijahan induk ikan bawal bintang dapat dilakukan seacara alami maupun semi alami. Pemijahan ikan bawal bintang berlangsung 8–12 jam setelah penyuntikan kedua dan akan menghasilkan fertilization rate sebesar 75,9%, hatching rate sebesar 75% dan survival rate sebesar 33,3% Telur ikan bawal bintang akan menetas setelah 18 jam setelah pemijahan. Larva kemudian dipelihara selama 2 bulan hingga berukuran 5 – 7 cm untuk siap dijual. Kegiatan pembesaran dilakukan pada keramba jaring apung. Pemberian pakan pada stadia pembesaran yakni pakan pelet dengan kandungan protein 37–48% Ikan yang ditebar berukuran 9–14 cm dipelihara selama 6 bulan. Ikan yang telah mencapai ukuran 500g/ekor dapat dipanen dan dilakukan pengiriman. Hasil perhitungan diperoleh bahwa aspek usaha kegiatan pembenihan bawal bintang membutuhkan biaya total sebesar Rp594.824.974 dengan luas lahan 500 m2, R/C Ratio 1,3 dan payback period selama 3,1 tahun. Sedangkan, untuk kegiatan pembesaran membutuhkan biaya total sebesar Rp1.448.445.079. R/C Ratio yang didapatkan yakni 1,3 dan payback period selama 2 tahun.
