Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in financial risk management in FinTech companies. With the increasing reliance on technology, AI has great potential in managing various types of risks, such as credit, market and liquidity risks. This study uses a quai-experimental approach by comparing two groups of companies, namely companies that use that do not use AI. The data collected included the level of non-performing (NPLs), market value fluctuations, and liquidity stability, which were analyzed using t-test and ANOVA to identify significant differences between the two groups. The results showed that companies that implemented AI experienced a significant decrease in bad debt rates, more manageable market values fluctuations, and improved liquidity stability. However, the main challenges faced in implementing AI include limited quality data technological comnpetency, and regulatory compliance. Overall, this study reveals that the application of AI can improve the effetiveness of financial risk management in FinTech firms, but requires investment in employee training, technological infrastructure development, and attentionto regulatory aspects to maximize the benefits.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) on regional economic growth in Indonesia through digitalization acceleration. Using a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design, the research was conducted in four provinces representing variations in digital readiness and FDI acceptance: West Java, East Java, South Sulawesi, and East Kalimantan. The quantitative results were analyzed using SEM-PLS regression, while the qualitative findings were examined through thematic coding. The study found that FDI significantly contributes to regional digitalization and has a positive impact on economic growth; however, this effect is significantly strengthened by local digital readiness. Digitalization proves to be an important mediator in enhancing the relationship between FDI and economic growth, particularly in terms of operational efficiency, expanding MSME markets, and technological innovation. Digital readiness disparities between regions act as limiting factors, where areas with weak ICT infrastructure and human resources show lower impacts. Therefore, cross-sector collaborative strategies involving local governments, academics, MSME actors, and foreign investors are necessary to build an inclusive and sustainable digital ecosystem. The research highlights the importance of data-driven policy design and local capacity building as prerequisites to maximize the economic benefits of digital-based FDI. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for policymakers, business actors, and researchers in supporting responsive and competitive regional digital economic transformation.

Abstract

Salah satu alat investasi reksa dana yang populer di kalangan Generasi Z adalah aplikasi Bibit karena kepraktisannya dan kemudahan penggunaannya. Meskipun demikian, latar belakang literasi keuangan konsumen masih beragam, yang dapat memengaruhi pilihan investasi mereka. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui secara parsial dan simultan bagaimana literasi keuangan, kegunaan aplikasi, dan kualitas layanan memengaruhi keputusan Generasi Z di Jawa Barat untuk membeli reksa dana melalui aplikasi Bibit. Studi ini menggunakan kombinasi metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun kegunaan aplikasi dan kualitas layanan memengaruhi keputusan pembelian secara parsial, literasi keuangan tidak memiliki dampak parsial. Kesimpulan ini didukung oleh hasil wawancara, yang menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memilih Bibit lebih berdasarkan pada kemudahan penggunaan dan keandalan sistem aplikasi daripada pengetahuan mereka tentang literasi keuangan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, dalam hal Generasi Z, faktor teknologi dan layanan memiliki dampak yang lebih besar pada pilihan investasi.

Abstract

Liquidity risk management is one of the crucial aspects in maintaining the operational continuity and financial stability of companies. This study aims to explore various strategies employed by Indonesian companies in managing liquidity risk, as well as their impact on financial resilience. The main focus of this research includes cash flow management, financing source diversification, technology utilization, debt management, and the use of hedging strategies. The research findings show that companies with effective liquidity management strategies, such as the use of cash flow projections and cloud-based technology, are more resilient in uncertain market conditions. Furthermore, financing diversification through revolving credit, capital markets, and equity provides flexibility in accessing the necessary funds during liquidity crises. Managing debt with a balance between short-term and long-term debt also plays an important role in reducing liquidity pressure. On the other hand, hedging against exchange rate and interest rate fluctuations using derivative instruments helps companies mitigate external risks that could affect their liquidity. The study concludes that the implementation of these strategies is essential in maintaining liquidity stability and the competitiveness of companies in the face of global economic challenges. Therefore, companies need to develop adaptive and sustainable liquidity management policies to face future economic uncertainties.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic caused significant disruption to Indonesia’s economy, severely affecting traditional commerce while accelerating the growth of e-commerce. Shopee, as the market leader, leveraged various marketing strategies, including its Shopee COD (Cash on Delivery) commercial jingle, to strengthen brand awareness and attract users. This study examines the quality of the Shopee COD commercial jingle, analyzes Generation Z customers’ attitudes toward it, and evaluates its influence on these attitudes. Using a quantitative, causal associative approach, data were collected via an online survey of 125 Generation Z respondents who had heard the jingle and used the Shopee application. The study adopts a five-dimensional jingle evaluation model (memorability, meaningfulness, likability, adaptability, protectability) and the ABC Model of Attitudes (affective, behavioral, cognitive) to analyze the relationship between jingle quality and customer attitudes. Results show a significant positive correlation between jingle quality and customer attitude, with jingle quality explaining 42% of the variance in attitudes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate and evaluate the influence of intellectual capital (IC), debt-to-equity ratio (DER), and return on assets (ROA) on financial distress moderated by company size. This study uses a quantitative method with secondary data derived from financial reports obtained through the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Construction companies listed on the IDX 2017-2022 became the research population, and the sampling technique used purposive sampling to obtain 10 construction company sub-sector samples with 60 observation data. The data analysis technique uses panel data regression with the help of EViews 10 software. The results of this study indicate that intellectual capital, ROA, and company size have a positive effect, but DER has a negative effect on financial distress; company size is proven to be able to moderate the effect of intellectual capital and ROA on financial distress. Company size cannot moderate the effect between DER and financial distress. This research can complement existing theories and be a reference for future research on financial distress. This research can serve as a guide for companies that want to improve their performance and for investors who assess company performance to obtain investment certainty; in addition, the management of stock issuers can maintain good company performance to increase investor confidence sustainably.

Abstract

Sales of processed coffee products in Indonesia are increasing along with the growth of coffee outlets and national consumption. Starbucks is trying to expand its services through a mobile application, but the usability of the application is still not optimal with user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) that have not satisfied users. Therefore, this study aims to improve usability through redesign using the user-centered design (UCD) method, which is based on constraints and feedback identified from users through initial surveys and interviews. The obstacles faced by users include unattractive appearance, poorly understood flow, and features that are difficult to find. The results of the redesign were compared with the current application design based on usability testing scores, average system usability scale (SUS) scores, and user satisfaction. The results of the usability testing and SUS scale showed a significant improvement from 46 to 69 and 55 to 89, indicating that the redesign has successfully improved the usability of the Starbucks Indonesia mobile application in accordance with the research objectives.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM) tangah berkembang dalam dunia kewirausahaan saat ini. UMKM juga menjadi suatu daya cipta pemerintah demi menciptakan perekonomian nasional yang lebih merata. UMKM membawa dampak positif baik di pedesaan maupun di perkotaan. Apotek merupakan sarana pelayanan kesehatan yang penting, namun distribusi apotek di berbagai daerah, termasuk Kota dan KabupatenTegal, masih terbatas. Apotek Mustajab merupakan apotek yang berkembang di Tegal, menyediakan obat-obatan dan solusi kesehatan bagi masyarakat setempat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data primer melalui wawancara dengan pemilik apotek dan data sekunder dari buku, internet, dan dokumen resmi. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan Business Model Canvas (BMC) yang mencakup sembilan elemen utama. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Apotek Mustajab dapat meningkatkan kehadirannya dengan memanfaatkan keahlian apoteker untuk meracik obat, menggunakan teknologi komunikasi seperti WhatsApp untuk menjangkau pelanggan lebih luas, serta memperkuat kemitraan dengan pemasok obat. Kesimpulannya, implementasi strategi-strategi tersebut dapat meningkatkan pelayanan kepada pelanggan, mengoptimalkan operasional apotek, dan memperkuat posisi Apotek Mustajab sebagai pilihan utama layanan kesehatan di Kabupaten Tegal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengevaluasi implementasi green manufacturing oleh Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) dalam mendukung keberlanjutan lingkungan dan efisiensi operasional. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan menganalisis data dari dua laporan utama, yaitu Toyota Sustainability Data Book 2024 dan Laporan Keberlanjutan TMMIN 2023. Fokus penelitian mencakup pengurangan emisi karbon, peningkatan penggunaan energi terbarukan, pengelolaan limbah, dan inovasi kendaraan elektrifikasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa TMMIN berhasil menurunkan total emisi karbon sebesar 36,9% pada tahun 2022 dibandingkan tahun dasar 2016, dengan intensitas emisi per unit produksi turun menjadi 1,1 ton/unit. Penggunaan energi terbarukan meningkat secara signifikan, mencapai 40% dari total konsumsi energi, didukung oleh instalasi panel surya di fasilitas produksi. Dalam hal pengelolaan limbah, 90% limbah berhasil didaur ulang, dan intensitas pemakaian air berkurang hingga 9,5%. Selain itu, inovasi kendaraan elektrifikasi seperti Kijang Innova Zenix Hybrid dan Yaris Cross mendukung pengurangan emisi sektor transportasi dan mencatat angka ekspor yang signifikan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi green manufacturing Toyota tidak hanya memberikan dampak positif terhadap pelestarian lingkungan tetapi juga meningkatkan daya saing perusahaan secara global. Dengan mengintegrasikan keberlanjutan ke dalam praktik bisnis, Toyota menjadi pelopor dalam transisi energi bersih di industri otomotif.
