Abstract

West Sumatra has many tourist destinations that are widely known and travelled by the wider community. Many of the many tourist destinations stem from the power of oral literature in the form of legends. The famous lake tours in West Sumatra are the Twin Lakes, Maninjau Lake, and Singkarak Lake. These three lakes are beautiful tourist attractions, are known to many people, and contain local wisdom values wrapped in folklore, so that the Minangkabau people believe that they are true stories from their ancestors. The presence of folklore in the form of legends is used by the local community as an effort to preserve the tourist attractions of the three lakes with various versions of the story. Each legend contains the value of character education. Therefore, in addition to being a tourist attraction, the three lakes are also used as a medium for character education for the surrounding community. Thus, this study aims to describe the efforts to preserve the three lakes in West Sumatra through literary legend tourism and the value of character education contained in the three lake legends in West Sumatra. This study uses a qualitative description method with an interdisciplinary approach, using tourism studies and character education with the study of legend literature in balance with describing various activities in the preservation of tourism literature. The data and data sources are the stories of three legends of Twin Lakes: Maninjau Lake, Singkarak Lake, and Maninjau Lake; data collection techniques with documents and video observations. To test the wetness of the data, they used theoretical triangulation techniques and source triangulation. Then the data was analyzed using Miles and Hubberman.The results of this study indicate that efforts to preserve three lakes, namely Twin Lakes, Lake Maninjau, and Lake Singkarak in West Sumatra in legend literature and tourism, are carried out through various traditional ceremonies in each lake, such as the balimau tradition ceremony, the maninjau rakik tradition, the biduak race, and the implementation of the West Sumatra cultural festival as part of the management of culture and tourism. While the value of character education is contained in the three legends of the lake in West Sumatra as a form of advice from the ancestors, in the form of realizing mistakes, caring, praying, being responsible, diligent, and listening to advice

Abstract

Abstract: The research entitled “Pattern Register Language Bus Crews Inter City Inter Provincial (AKAP) at Terminal Tirtonadi Surakarta” aims to describe the form of the registers of the inter-provincial city bus crew in the Tirtonadi Terminal of Surakarta, patterns of language variations caused by social factors one of which registers, and the emergence of the frequent register of the bus crew. Register becomes something very interesting to be examined in terminal Tirtonadi, because often social communication language. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative method by doing observation directly and place is not bound. The results of the study showed 50 word register findings that were classified according to the register form, the bus crew language register pattern, the creation of new words with different meanings and special words in the community between bus crews.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan wujud register bahasa kru bus Antar Kota Antar Provinsi (AKAP) di Terminal Tirtonadi Surakarta, pola variasi-variasi bahasa yang disebabkan karena faktor sosial salah satunya register, dan kemunculan register yang sering dipakai kru bus. Register menjadi sesuatu yang sangat menarik untuk diteliti di Terminal Tirtonadi karena seringnya komunikasi sosial yang dimunculkan dengan menggunakan pola bahasa komunikasi khusus. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan melakukan observasi secara langsung dan tempat tidak terikat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 50 temuan kata register yang diklasifikasi berdasarkan wujud register, pola register bahasa kru bus, penciptaan kata baru dengan makna yang berbeda dan kata khusus dalam komunitas antar kru bus.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the Moderation-Based BIPA Curriculum of UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. This research uses qualitative methods and a phenomenological study approach. Data collection in this research is participant observation, observation, interviews and document analysis. The validity of the data in research uses triangulation of methods and data sources. The data analysis technique used in this research is the Cresswel model of phenomenological data analysis. The research results show that the curriculum management that applies to BIPA learning at UIN Raden Mas Said is 1) planning, which includes curriculum objectives, learning, textbooks, facilities and infrastructure, teaching staff, BIPA teaching methods, evaluation design. 2) organization, including study schedules and student data, tools, learning media and infrastructure, learning and its methods. 3) implementation, including learning activities, lesson plans (RPS) documents, textbooks, teaching methods, BIPA institutions related to teacher attitudes and quality, existence of facilities and infrastructure, evaluation, process and assessment. 4) supervision, which includes graduate competency standards, learning process standards, teacher and tutor standards, and learning assessment standards. Meanwhile, the values ​​of religious moderation found are tawassuth (moderate), tawazun (continuous), i'tidal (straight and firm), tasamuh (tolerant), musawah (equality), shura (deliberation), tathawur wa ibtikar (dynamic and innovative) and tadadhdhur (civilized).

Abstract

The phenomenon of language errors is still found in several tabloids, one of which is the Nova tabloid. There are still many grammatical errors found in the procedural text presented in the Nova tabloid, especially in the “Sedap Sedap” section. This study aims to explain the form of language errors in the procedural text of the Nova tabloid "Snack Sedap" rubric, May 26-June 22, 2022 edition. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with a type of literature study. The results of research and data analysis in this study found 226 language errors. The mistakes are the use of imperative sentences, the use of temporal conjunctions, the use of final conjunctions, material verbs and errors in the use of diction.

Abstract

Dalam dunia pendidikan perlu adanya peningkatan agar siswa lebih kreatif dan inovatif di era perkembangan zaman. Keterampilan menulis merupakan suatu hal yang sangat penting. Karena hal itu akan meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa lainnya. Menulis merupakan suatu hal untuk menuangkan ide atau pikiran ke dalam bentuk tulis. Berguna untuk mengetahui seberapa jauh kemampuan kita dalam mencerna suatu hal. Penelitian ini yaitu tentang peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks persuasi dengan menggunakan media berita pada siswa kelas VIII I MTs N 1 Sragen Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas atau biasa disebut dengan PTK. Dalam metode yang digunakan menggunakan kualitatif sebagai pendeskripsian dan kuantitatif sebagai hitungan. Peningkatan keterampilan menulis siswa dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan 2 siklus yaitu siklus I dan siklus II. Nilai rata-rata kemampuan siswa yang ditargetkan adalah 75%. Diperoleh hasil bahwa siklus I memperoleh 73.48% berarti masih belum tuntas. Sedangkan pada siklus II memperoleh 82,72% lebih dari 75%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka diperoleh data bahwa kemampuan menulis siwa pada siklus I masih kurang dan meningkat pada siklus II. Perubahan yang terjadi mengarah pada perilaku siswa ke arah yang lebih positif.

Abstract

Current learning must be directed at higher-order thinking skills and text-based. This condition certainly requires an adaptation process that is not easy. Based on these problems, this study aims to describe the implementation of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in text-based learning at State Elementary School of Banyurip 3 Sambungmacan or called SDN Banyurip 3 Sambungmacan. This research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques used in this study, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The documents used in this study are in the form of a syllabus, lesson plans, and photos of the learning process. Data validity is done using the triangulation of sources and methods. The data analysis techniques used include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The formulation of the problems examined in this study shows how (1) HOTS planning in text-based learning (2) HOTS implementation in text-based learning (3) HOTS assessment in text-based learning (4) how the constraints experienced in the application of HOTS in text-based learning. The results showed that the planning and implementation of text-based learning had gone well. The selection of learning components has been able to build a HOTS learning atmosphere. Text-based learning assessments in elementary schools have used authentic assessments. Obstacles experienced by teachers in the process of text-based learning include; arrange the right plan, the difficulty in dividing the time allocation, the selection of the right media, the suitability of learning resources with student characteristics, the integration of interesting learning methods.

Abstract

Poverty forced most females to have double roles as housewives and workers. It happened to help the husbands look for a good living. This research aimed to describe the strategies for female industrial workers in Surakarta to resolve gender conflict in a household. This research used qualitative method to describe the data retrieved by interview technique using social role theory to find out the existence of double role conflict, kinds of conflicts, and strategies in resolution of the gender role conflict from the respondents in the regions of Surakarta, Boyolali, Sragen, Wonogiri, and Sukoharjo by referring to the patterned social behavior, social identity, and shared social expectations. This research uncovered the existence of various conflicts among female workers i.e. working hours, household chores, relationship communication between husband and wife (biological relationship), and childcare. Furthermore, this research also found the strategies used by housewives in facing conflicts, including division of role as head of the family, division of working hours, parenting arrangement, family biological time arrangement, and social community. Regarding the findings, this research provided female industrial workers with several alternative solutions to help them divide their time for professionally working in domestic and public affairs.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the problems of financial, social, and sexual aspects of working females in labour force with the three-time shift system in Indonesia. Working females, as a matter of, are responsible for both household and working duties from which they are highly potential to face various problems. This case study interviewed (either in group or individual) and observed 150 randomly selected respondents of working females from garment industries in Surakarta and Yogyakarta Indonesia. Data triangulation technique of observation and interview were to firm the trustworthiness. The data were analysed interactively as suggested by Miles and Huberman: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings showed that the majority of the respondents participated in the labour force due to their family financial problem. Though the financial problem was reduced, being a working female in three-time shift system brought about the other problems, such as social and sexual problems. The females could fulfil the family financial needs by sacrificing the social and sexual fulfilments of the family because they had no time and physical energy anymore. These problems were commonly found from the respondents, although it was found several variables that vary the level of the problems from each individual and group.

Abstract

The problems that occur today show that most teachers in doing learning are more teacher-center-based where the learning is teacher-centered. This is what causes learning to tend to be monotonous so that learning becomes less active. To anticipate these problems, it is necessary to have a variety of learning models so that learning can be active, creative, innovative, and fun. The purpose of this study is to determine the application of poetry learning using the PBT model in facing the era of revolution 4.0 and to determine the application of ICT-based PBT learning in facing the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative by describing the data in depth which is then relevant to the theory relevant to the research. The results of this study show that the application of poetry learning with the PBT model is carried out by 1) providing introduction and motivation, 2) providing direction for project assignments, 3) monitoring project progress, 4) making videos, 5) assessing work results, and 6) evaluating the learning process. Theapplication of ICT-based PBT learning models is very relevant to the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 where this era requires teachers to utilize technology in learning so that this learning is used as a form of breakthrough in improving learning in madrasah in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of Indonesian phonological interference in Filipino students learning BIPA at the Philippine Normal University Sout Luzon. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data in this study are events, documents, and informants. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collection technique used is the purposive sampling technique. Checking the validity of the data in this study used a theoretical triangulation technique. The data analysis technique used is the equivalent technique (translational equivalent) which is combined with data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study found three forms of Indonesian phonological interference in Filipino students in BIPA at the Philippines Normal University Sout Luzon. The form of the interference is phonological interference with the addition of phonemes, subtraction of phonemes, and changes of phonemes.
