Abstract

Defamation cases found through social media have increased significantly. The government has done restorative justice in handling defamation cases. This study aims to describe formulating a cultural-based mediation. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The data of this research was the language used on MY’s Facebook comment and police report regarding the case. An interactive model (data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing) is applied to analyze the data. The findings of this research show that cultural-based mediation may serve as an alternative to solving a defamation case as long as both parties share the same culture. It may be effective if the police have not yet handled the case and a third party who can act neutral and fair is present during mediation. If else, the case will be handled by the police, which can be based on an expert's opinion, the linguists.

Abstract

Modernisasi telah memberikan perubahan besar pada struktur kehidupan manusia, termasuk relasi laki-laki dan perempuan dalam kehidupan berkeluarga. Perubahan ini melahirkan konsep baru tentang maskulinitas, terutama yang ditemukan pada lagu dangdut koplo dari Jawa Timur. Maka, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menjawab pertanyaan bagaimanakah bentuk relasi laki-laki dan perempuan dalam konstruksi maskulinitas Jawa pada lagu dangdut koplo? Metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan dan memanfaatkan konsep maskulinitas sebagaimana dikemukakan oleh Janet Saltzman Chafetz. Chafetz menggambarkan tujuh wilayah maskulinitas tradisional pada budaya barat: fisik, fungsional, seksual, emosional, intelektual, interpersonal, dan sifat pribadi lain. Penulis artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa lagu dangdut koplo Jawa menggambarkan relasi laki-laki dan perempuan dalam tiga dimensi maskulinitas: fungsional, emosional, dan intelektual. Dimensi fungsional memerankan laki-laki pada peran sebagai pencari nafkah; dan dimensi emosional sebagai memiliki ketenangan dan kematangan emosional yang tinggi; sedangkan dimensi intelektual menghadirkan sosok laki-laki dengan pemikiran yang logis, rasional, dan praktis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya bentuk slametan dan ngalap berkah yang terdapat dalam folklore “Bal-balan Sega” yang kemudian akan dikaji oleh peneliti dengan menggunakan kajian antropologi sastra. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan bentuk slametan dan ngalap berkah dari tradisi “Bal-balan Sega” di Dusun Tambakselo, Desa Pelang Lor, Kecamatan Kedunggalar, Kabupaten Ngawi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data berupa dokumentasi video dan seorang informan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancaramendalam, rekam, catat, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teori antropologi sastra menurut Endraswara yang kemudian dikaitkan dengan analisis model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa “Bal-balan Sega” merupakan salah satu tradisi unik yang berasal dari Ngawi khususnya masyarakat Tambakselo. Tradisi ini berbeda dari tradisi pada umumnya karena memiliki prosesi khusus yaitu perang nasi yang menjadi perhatian orang-orang awam yang belum mengetahuinya.

Abstract

Communicative competence is the goal of language learning, for which students have to learn language in a real context; and it also becomes the focus of Curriculum 13 in Indonesia. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are conflicts in realizing communicative competence for the students online. This study aims to identify conflicts faced by the teachers in integrating communicative language teaching method and online platforms used during the pandemic, as the lessons in long distance learnings. This study is qualitative with in-depth interview as the main data collection technique. The respondents of this study cover 137 senior high school teachers. The data is analyzed by identifying the relevant interplays between graduate competences, language learning methods, online platforms used, and conflicts on the teachers and students learning autonomously along pandemic. The findings show that there are conflicts among the teachers and students in implementing online communicative language teaching autonomously, since the method and the used online learning platforms are irrelevant and internet literacy and infrastructure are still poor. There must be comprehensive understanding and skills of the teachers and students in handling autonomous learning digitally along the pandemic including learning outcome, materials, learning methods and process, and testing the outcome. These conflicts bring about lessons of adaptability, collaboration, communication, and resilience, they have learned valuable skills that will serve them well in their future education and careers.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to describe the variety of languages in the Covid-19 pandemic era, especially in the economic field. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach which will produce data in the form of descriptions of words instead of numbers. The form of diction or terms during the Covid-19 pandemic is the subject of this study. Meanwhile, the object of this research focuses on the characteristic patterns of various language terms in the economic sector in the Covid-19 pandemic era. This research technique uses observation techniques and data selection. This study provides results in the form of 51 data on the pattern of characteristics of various languages in the field of economic terms in the Covid-19 pandemic era and classified into 9 data in English, 8 data in synonym, 25 data in Indonesian abbreviation, 4 data in the form of language abbreviations. Abstract

Kurikulum merupakan susunan dan bahan kajian dan pelajaran untuk mencapai tujuan penyelenggaraan satuan pendidikan yang bersangkutan, dalam rangka upaya pencapaian tujuan penyelenggaraan satuan pendidikan nasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi kurikulum BIPA (Bahasa Indonesia Bagi Penutur Asing) berbasis cultural islamic studies (intergrated curriculum) di perguruan tinggi islam. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Populasi yang digunakan terkait secara langsung maupun tidak langsung terhadap pengembangan kurikulum di pembelajaran BIPA IAIN Surakarta dengan mengambil sampel penyusun kurikulum BIPA. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik keabsahan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik triangulasi yang berupa triangulasi sumber, metode dan teknik. Pada tahap analisis data peneliti menggunakan model analisis reduksi data, display data dan penarikan kesimpulan atau verivikasi terhadap penelitian yang dilakukan. Hasil analisis dalam penelitian menunjukkan adanya (a) model dalam kurikulum berbasis cultural islamic studies (integrated curicculum) dalam pengajaran kurikulum BIPA di perguruan tinggi islam, (b) implementasi dalam kurikulum BIPA berbasis cultural islamic stuides (integrated curicculum) di perguruan tinggi Islam. (c) keunggulan dan kelemahan dalam kurikulum BIPA berbasis cultural islamic studies (integrated curicculum) di perguruan tinggi Islam.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the intrinsic elements, the form of local wisdom values, and the relevance of learning in the short story anthology Rumah Tepi Kali by Dedy Vanshopi. The theory used belongs to Koentjaraningrat in his book Ratna. The method used is qualitative description and the primary data source is the short story anthology Rumah Tapi Kali. Data collection techniques are repeated reading, note taking and listening. Purposive sampling technique and Milles and Huberman's data analysis. The results of the study (1) intrinsic elements in the form of themes, characters and characterizations, pestle and plot setting, point of view and mandate, (2) local wisdom contains 7 aspects, namely human life equipment of 25 data, livelihood 8 data, community system 9 data, language and literature system 5 data, arts with various types of 6 data, knowledge system 8 data, and religious system of 28 data, (3) relevance to learning in MA Equivalent with KD 3.8 curriculum 2013 character education.  AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk medeskripsikan unsur intrinsik, bentuk nilai kearifan lokal, serta relevansi pembelajaran pada antologi cerpen Rumah Tepi Kali karya Dedy Vanshopi. Teori yang dipakai milik Koentjaraningrat dalam bukunya Ratna. Metode yang dipakai adalah deskripsi kualitatif serta sumber data primer yaitu buku antologi cerpen Rumah Tapi Kali. Teknik pengumpulan data baca berulang, catat dan simak. Teknik cuplikan data purposive sampling serta analisis data milik Milles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian (1) unsur intrinsik berupa tema, tokoh dan penokohan, alu dan plot latar atau setting, sudut pandang serta amanat, (2) kearifan lokal memuat 7 aspek yaitu peralatan kehidupan manusia sejumlah 25 data, mata pencaharian 8 data, sistem kemasyrakatan 9 data, sistem bahasa dan sastra 5 data, kesenian dengan berbagai jenisnya 6 data, sistem pengetahuan 8 data, serta sistem religi sejumlah 28 data, (3) relevansi terhadap pembelajaran di MA Sederajat dengan KD 3.8 kurikulum 2013 pendidikan karakter.

Abstract

Bahasa Indonesia for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) is an Indonesian language teaching program aimed at foreign speakers. Errors are an inevitable part of learning that every language learner commonly encounters in language errors. The research purposes are to know the form of errors in the foreign students’ language in the various levels (spelling, phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics), and to know the factors causing errors in the use of Indonesian language writing skills of foreign students in Indonesian language learning program BIPA IAIN Surakarta. The research subjects are students who came from Thailand. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview and documentation during the activities in the BIPA Program. Data validity technique is triangulation technique namely source, method, and technique triangulation. This research applies error analysis or correct analysis. The implementation steps are 1) data collection, 2) error identification 3) error description 4) error classification 5) error evaluation. Based on the classification of data in spelling, phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics, it can be concluded that language errors in Thai students tends to be in many classifications. In the data of phonological level, there are several error pronunciations that cause phoneme changes, phonemic addition, and phoneme omission. In the morphological data classification, there are some errors from the findings data such as errors in affixes usage in which the most dominant error of affixes usage is the occurrence of prefix form followed by suffix and confix. In the syntactic data classification, there are some errors in the structure of sentences, the function of the word in many sentences are reversed structure. In the semantics data classification, there are many errors in the selection of words (diction) in a sentence. Factors influencing Thai students' language errors are internal factors and external factors. Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) merupakan program pengajaran bahasa Indonesia yang ditujukan untuk penutur asing. Kesalahan merupakan suatu bagian belajar yang tidak terhindarkan setiap pembelajar bahasa umumnya mengalami kesalahan dalam berbahasa. Adapun tujuan penelitian dalam penulisan ini yaitu, mengetahui bentuk kesalahan berbahasa pada mahasiswa asing dalam tataran (ejaan, fonologi, morfologi, sintaksis, dan semantik), serta mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebab kesalahan pemakaian bahasa Indonesia dalam kemampuan menulis mahasiswa asing dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia program BIPA IAIN Surakarta. Adapun yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa baru BIPA yang berasal dari Thailand. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi selama kegiatan di dalam Program BIPA. Teknik keabsahan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik triangulasi, yaitu triangulasi sumber, triangulasi metode, dan triangulasi teknik. Analisis yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis kesalahan (correc analysis). Langkah-langkah pelaksanaaan yang dimaksud 1) pengumpulan data, 2) pengidentifikasian kesalahan, 3) penjelasan kesalahan 4) peng-klasifikasian kesalahan 5) pengevaluasian kesalahan. Berdasarkan klasifikasi data baik dalam tataran ejaan, fonologi, morfologi, sintaksis, dan semantik dapat disimpulkan bahwa kecenderungan kesalahan berbahasa pada mahasiswa Thailand. Pada klasifikasi data tataran fonologi, terjadi beberapa kesalahan pelafalan yang menyebabkan perubahan fonem, penambahan fonem, dan penghilangan fonem suatu kata. Pada klasifikasi data tataran morfologi, terjadi beberapa kesalahan dari data temuan yaitu kesalahan penggunaan afiks paling dominan terjadi pada bentuk prefiks yang diikuti oleh sufiks dan konfiks. Pada klasifikasi data tataran sintaksis, terjadi beberapa kesalahan pada struktur kalimat, fungsi kata dalam kalimat banyak yang terbolak-balik strukturnya. Pada klasifikasi data tataran semantik telah ditemukan beberapa kesalahan dalam pemilihan kata (diksi) dalam suatu kalimat. Abstract

Local traditions or culture characterize an interesting area to be researched. There is a lot of oral literature that developed in Tegal City, one of which is the moci tradition. Moci is a term for drinking tea that is brewed in a pot made of clay. The purpose of this study is to describe the preservation of the moci tradition in the Tegal community and the ritual ceremony of the mantu pot in terms of the perspective of literary anthropology. This type of qualitative descriptive research is used with the perspective of a literary anthropology approach. The types of data and sources of primary research data are documentation of the Mantu Poci Tradition procession and direct interviews from respondents such as writers and humanists from Tegal, village elders, community leaders, educators, and people who have been fully involved. Secondary data were obtained from library materials in the form of written sources related to the ritual of the mantu teapot. Data collection with events, in-depth interviews, and documentation related to the ritual of the mantu teapot. The technique of checking the validity of the data in this study uses triangulation with data sources and method triangulation. The data analysis used the Spradley model with the study of literary anthropology. The results of the research on the preservation of the moci tradition in the form of socialization show that the Mantu Poci ritual has three stages of preparation, implementation, and closing. In addition to the mantu poci tradition as an effort to preserve the moci tradition, there are also several efforts to preserve the moci tradition through written works in the form of novels and books, songs, drama performances, and become mandatory dishes in all major activities in Tegal City.

Abstract

Tourism recently becomes a priority in which the Indonesian government has strived to develop to increase domestic income. One of the interesting types of tourism is cultural tourism which has developed widely in the form of literary tourism. This paper aims to discuss how the preservation of the variation of Jaka Tingkir’s story can be a strategy in developing folklore-based literary tourism. In the practical effect, this paper tries to contribute ideas to the local government especially in Surakarta to find a proper strategy in developing a folklore-based as well as historical-based tourism. The results of the research show that in the preservation of folklore in a society, it is necessary to tell folklore with various emphasis contained in the story. This paper finds that Jaka Tingkir folklore needs to be preserved by maintaining its various versions of the story, such as the story of Jaka Tingkir and the crocodile, Jaka Tingkir and Kebondanu, the story of Jaka Tingkir and the heirloom of Kiai Bajugiling, Jaka Tingkir and Javanese philosophy, and the tomb of Jaka Tingkir as an imprint of the king of Pajang. These various stories about Jaka Tingkir contain some religious, historical, moral, heroic, faith, and worship values which are very important to comprehend in the society living with the story. The strategies used in developing literary tourism in Bengawan Solo which bases on Jaka Tingkir folklore include the tradition of larung gethek of Jaka Tingkir, Jaka Tingkir haul at his tomb in Pajang, Surakarta, and religious and literary tourism.
