Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of self efficacy and self esteem on employee performance through motivation as an intervening variable at the Jambi Province Food Security Service. This type of research uses quantitative methods. Data collection techniques through distributing questionnaires. The sample in this study was all 97 employees of the Jambi Province Food Security Service. The analysis method in this research is descriptive statistical analysis and uses the Structural Equation Model (SEM) technique with the SmartPLS 4.0 program. The research results show that Self Efficacy has a direct influence on employee performance, Self Esteem has an influence on employee performance, motivation has an influence on employee performance, Self Efficacy has an influence on motivation, Self Esteem has an influence on motivation, Self Efficacy has an influence on employee performance through motivation as an intervening variable, and Self Esteem has an influence on employee performance through motivation as an intervening variable.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of internal communication on work effectiveness and employee performance at the Jambi Province Food Security Service. Internal communication is a key factor in increasing organizational efficiency and productivity, especially in the government context. The research approach used is qualitative with descriptive methods, aiming to understand the experiences, perceptions and dynamics of interactions between employees and management. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews with 3 participants consisting of structural officials and functional employees, as well as through direct observation of communication patterns in the work environment. The research results show that effective internal communication characterized by openness of information, active participation of all parties, and transparent two-way communication contributes significantly to increasing work effectiveness and employee performance. Employees who feel they have received sufficient information and are involved in decision making are more motivated and show better performance.

Abstract

Strategies on career planning will create high-performance human resource management. The main objective of this research is to apply a strategy to career planning so as to improve high-performance human resource management through talent management.The research design uses survey research with 3 (three) purposes of description, explanation and exploration. The research target is BUMN employees totaling 267. Methods of data collection by providing a structured questionnaire aimed at the respondents. The analytical tool used in this study is Partial Least Square (PLS) and the software used is smart-PLS. The results of the study show that strategies in career planning can improve high-performance human resource management, followed by the role of strategies on career planning in improving talent management, and talent management in improving high-performing human resource management, but the role of talent management as a mediator variable is smaller if than not mediated.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi persepsi dan harapan guru honorer terhadap kebijakan kenaikan gaji yang diterapkan oleh pemerintah di SMA Negeri 7 Kecamatan Mendahara, Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling terhadap sepuluh guru honorer sebagai partisipan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak NVivo 14. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru honorer merespons secara positif kebijakan kenaikan gaji, yang dianggap mampu meningkatkan motivasi, semangat, dan rasa dihargai. Namun, mereka juga menyoroti perlunya penyempurnaan implementasi agar lebih adil dan merata. Selain itu, harapan utama para guru adalah adanya perubahan status kepegawaian menjadi ASN atau PPPK, demi mendapatkan jaminan masa depan, stabilitas ekonomi, dan pengakuan profesional. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa keberlanjutan, pemerataan, dan keadilan dalam pelaksanaan kebijakan menjadi elemen penting agar kebijakan benar-benar menjawab kebutuhan guru honorer secara menyeluruh.   Kata Kunci : Guru honorer, Persepsi, Kebijakan pemerintah, Kenaikan gaji, Harapan kepegawaian

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership on performance through organizational commitment as an intervening variable for non-permanent employees of the DPM-PTSP Jambi Province. The method used is quantitative analysis with a population and sample of all non-permanent employees totaling 40 respondents. Data collection was carried out using a Likert scale-based questionnaire, and analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) techniques based on Partial Least Square (PLS) via SmartPLS 3 software. The results of the research showed that: (1) transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, (2) transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, (3) organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and (4) organizational commitment as an intervening variable has a positive and significant effect between transformational leadership and employee performance.

Abstract

This study reviews the connection between e-commerce and its influence on purchase decisions on e-commerce platforms through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The main factors that have been proven to significantly influence purchase decisions include product quality, product ratings and reviews, price, information quality, trust, security, service quality, perceived risk, and purchase intention. These findings indicate that a deep understanding of these variables can help business actors and marketers develop more effective strategies to increase purchase conversions in the e-commerce domain. Furthermore, this study also identifies opportunities for further research related to the integration of e-commerce systems and the development of marketing strategies based on consumer behavior data. This SLR seeks to encourage future research and practical applications within e-commerce.

Abstract

User satisfaction is one of the keys to success in managing an institution or organization. The level of service satisfaction is an important indicator to assess the extent to which service user expectations are met, by measuring the suitability between expectations of performance and the real experience felt after the service is used. The Community Satisfaction Index Survey conducted at the Faculty of Economics and Business uses a mixed method research approach. The population in this survey is all service users at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Jambi, including: lecturers, education staff, students, alumni, graduate users and cooperation partners. Furthermore, the sample in this survey is a portion of the representative population, using the Stratified Random Sampling technique. The results show that the Faculty of Economics and Business received a good assessment in terms of reliability, responsiveness, and certainty, but still needs to make improvements to infrastructure and accelerate the response of academic administration, especially for students. Abstract

The study aims to assess the direct impacts of core self-evaluation and emotional intelligence on workplace conflict and determine Diversity's mediating role in this relationship. Additionally, it seeks to understand the broader implications of these interactions for conflict management and diversity initiatives within the workplace. The research utilized a quantitative approach to distribute questionnaires to 94 lecturers to capture data on the specified variables. These results support developing targeted training programs that enhance emotional intelligence and effectively manage Diversity to mitigate workplace conflicts. Furthermore, the study advocates for organizational policies that foster inclusion, encourage open dialogue, and respect for Diversity, thereby promoting a healthy and inclusive work environment. This study contributes valuable insights into the factors influencing workplace conflict in academic settings. It highlights the crucial roles of self-evaluation, emotional intelligence, and Diversity in managing conflict and fostering a productive, inclusive workplace.

Abstract

research aims to analyze the role of leadership behavior and teacher commitment in improving teacher work performance. The subjects of this research are the principal, teachers, and staff at SD N 67/VI Tanjung Gedang. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research population consists of the principal and all teaching staff, totaling 12 individuals. The findings reveal two main points: (1) the principal’s leadership behavior plays a crucial role in encouraging and enhancing teacher performance, and (2) teacher commitment significantly contributes to improving the quality and outcomes of their work. Thus, leadership behavior and teacher commitment are proven to play an important role in enhancing teacher work performance
