Abstract

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease characterized by randomly high blood sugar levels. Risk factors that can cause diabetes mellitus include stress, genetic factors, age, and a history of consuming alcohol. The simplest effort to control random blood sugar is by implementing stress management. But in reality, there are still many diabetes mellitus sufferers who cannot manage stress, resulting in random increases in blood sugar levels. This study aims to determine the relationship between stress levels and changes in random blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus sufferers in the Mentikan Community Health Center, Mojokerto City. This research uses a correlation analytical method with a cross-sectional design. The total sample was 67 respondents taken using the purposive sampling technique. The Spearman Rho test results showed a value of 0.001 < α 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between stress levels and random changes in blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus sufferers. Meanwhile, the correlation coefficient figure shows a value of 0.663, which means the relationship between stress levels and random changes in blood sugar levels is strong. Stress can increase random blood glucose levels because stress stimulates the body to release the hormones cortisol and epinephrine. These two hormones have a strong effect in causing the process of gluconeogenesis, so that it will increase random blood glucose levels by large amounts within a few minutes. It is hoped that good stress management can control sufferers' sugar levels so as to create a better quality of life for Diabetes Millitus sufferers.

Abstract

Introduction: The prevalence of online game addiction has increased among adolescents in Indonesia. This study aimed to analyze the correlation between parent conflict and online game addiction among adolescents. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional, correlational design. The inclusion criteria in this study were as follows: (1) adolescents between the ages of 13-19 and who were male, and (2) adolescents who were willing to become respondents. Eighty adolescents were approached according to the inclusion criteria, and 73 respondents were eligible for this study. The data collection method used was a questionnaire filled out by adolescents. The questionnaire was adapted to adolescents and to determine adolescents' perceptions of interaction conflict. Statistical analysis was performed using Spearman's rank test with α=0.05. Results: Parental interaction conflict was positively related to online game addiction among adolescents (p = 0.004). The majority of respondents who experienced online game addiction in the fair category had low interaction conflicts with their parents. Conclusions: Conflict of interaction with parents can cause adolescents to become addicted to online games. Parents are expected to engage in good interactions in accordance with the stages of adolescent development. Parents should be able to complete their problem interactions well.

Abstract

Introduction: The inability of adolescents to control themselves causes adolescents to have low self-regulation and causes several serious problems such as sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), disability and death in adolescents. This review study aimed to identify the role of self-regulation as an effort to prevent sexual behavior in adolescents. Method: A systematic review using 4 databases (Scopus, ScienceDirect, PubMed and Web of Science) published in the last 6 years (2017-2022). Results: Eight articles were selected in the final review. All articles mention the role of self-regulation in adolescents. The role is to control themselves, the environment and behavior so that adolescents who have good self-regulation will be able to prevent sexual behavior. Conclusion: Self-regulation is an individual's ability to regulate emotions, thoughts and behavior to achieve a goal. Adolescents who have higher self-regulation and greater growth of self-regulation will decrease the likelihood of engaging in sexual risk-taking behavior in young adulthood

Abstract

General Background: Electronic Medical Records (EMR) enhance healthcare efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and data accessibility. However, implementation remains uneven globally. Specific Background: Despite Indonesia’s Ministry of Health Regulation No. 24 of 2022 mandating EMR adoption, many hospitals struggle with infrastructure, workforce limitations, and regulatory challenges. Knowledge Gap: While studies highlight EMR benefits, limited research addresses specific barriers in Indonesian hospitals and effective implementation strategies. Aims: This study identifies EMR adoption challenges and explores strategies for successful implementation in Indonesia. Results: Key barriers include inadequate infrastructure, unclear policies, insufficient training, and connectivity issues. Pre-implementation planning and structured training improve outcomes. Novelty: This study systematically analyzes Indonesia-specific EMR challenges and presents actionable solutions. Implications: Hospitals require better preparation, clear policies, and government support to ensure seamless EMR integration, fostering healthcare digitalization. Highlights: Regulatory Compliance: Despite mandates, many Indonesian hospitals struggle with full EMR adoption due to infrastructure and policy gaps. Key Barriers: Limited resources, lack of training, and unstable internet hinder effective EMR implementation. Strategic Solutions: Pre-implementation planning, technical support, and structured training improve adoption success. Keywords: Barriers, Strategy, Electronic Medical Record, Hospital
