Abstract

Stunting adalah kondisi gagal tumbuh pada anak balita (bayi di bawah lima tahun) akibat dari kekurangan gizi kronis sehingga anak terlalu pendek untuk usiannya. Kekurangan gizi terjadi sejak bayi dalam kandungan dan pada masa awal setelah bayi lahir akan tetapi, kondisi Stunting baru nampak setelah bayi berusia 2 tahun. Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan di Kabupaten Soppeng Desa Tottong salah satu daerah di Kecamatan Donri-Donri Kabupaten Soppeng, Desa Tottong terdapat dua dusun yakni dusun Turungeng Lappae dan dusun Balubue. Dusun Balubue terdiri dari 3 RW dan 5 RT. Didasarkan pada hasil survey awal yang dilakukan oleh tim pengabdian masyarakat, didapat jumlah kepala keluarga yaitu 265 dan jumlah penduduk sebesar 846. Dari data yang di dapatkan ada 38 balita di dusun Balubue, dari data tersebut terdapat 26% balita di dusun balubue yang stunting.Dari hasil wawancara didapatkan bahwa hal tersebut disebabkan karena kurangnya pengetahuan ibu tentang penyebab dan pencegahan stunting, gizi seimbang selama kehamilan, variasi MPASI yang bergizi serta pemberian gizi seimbang pada balita yang benar.Penyuluhan di Dusun Balubue sebagian besar ibu balita yang ada di wilayah kerja Posyandu seruni yang mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan Gizi pada balita mengikuti penyuluhan dengan presentasi sebanyak 73%.

Abstract

Hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) is one of the most common complaints during pregnancy, affecting approximately 70-80% of all pregnant women with symptoms of morning sickness. Around 60% of pregnant women also experience vomiting. If not properly managed, persistent nausea and vomiting can develop into severe hyperemesis gravidarum. Hyperemesis gravidarum can have adverse effects on the health of both the mother and fetus, including slowing blood circulation, reducing oxygen and nutrient supply to tissues, and potentially causing tissue damage that endangers maternal and fetal health. Objective: To determine the relationship between the use of peppermint aromatherapy in reducing hyperemesis during pregnancy at Poleang Timur Public Health Center in 2024. Method: This study used an analytical survey with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study consisted of all pregnant women experiencing hyperemesis, with a total sample of 51 respondents obtained through total sampling. Data collection was conducted using an observation sheet with a checklist. The data were processed using SPSS 20 and analyzed with the Chi-Square Test. Results: The analysis of peppermint aromatherapy usage showed a p-value of 0.007 < 0.05, leading to the conclusion that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between the use of peppermint aromatherapy and the reduction of hyperemesis during pregnancy at Poleang Timur Public Health Center in 2024.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of managerial ownership, institutional ownership, independent commissioners and audit committees on financial distress in companies in the automotive industry sector and their components listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2014-2019 period. The sample used was 7 companies in the automotive industry sector and their components listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with the number of observations during the 2014-2019 period so that the total research data was 42. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Analysis of the data used is multiple linear regression. The results showed that managerial ownership had an effect on financial distress. Institutional ownership has an effect on financial distress. Independent commissioners have an effect on financial distress. The audit committee has an effect on financial distress. Managerial ownership, institutional ownership, independent commissioners and audit committees have a joint effect on the financial distress of companies in the Automotive Industry Sector and its Components Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2014 – 2019 period.

Abstract

This research aims to test and prove the influence of Ownership Structure, Independent Board of Commissioners, and Audit Committee on Risk Management Disclosure. The population in this study are banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2021-2023 period, consisting of 47 companies. The number of samples in this research was 32 samples determined through purposive sampling. The method used is a quantitative method processed with SPSS 30. This research analyzes banking risk management disclosures based on the COSO Enterprise Risk Management (COSO ERM) framework. The techniques and data analysis used are descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression analysis.Based on the results of the research conducted, it shows that all variables simultaneously influence risk management disclosure in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2021-2023 period. The partial research results show that the independent board of commissioners and audit committee variables have an effect on risk management disclosure, while management ownership and institutional ownership have no effect on risk management disclosure. Abstract

Pregnancy, particularly in the third trimester, is a critical phase where women often experience increased anxiety, stress, and emotional changes due to physical discomfort and anticipation of childbirth. The role of husbands as primary companions during this stage is essential to provide psychological support and strengthen maternal mental health. This community service program aimed to increase husbands’ involvement in supporting their wives through structured childbirth preparation education. The program was conducted using participatory methods, including counselling sessions, interactive discussions, and practical demonstrations that involved both pregnant women and their husbands. Educational materials covered topics such as recognising emotional changes, stress management, effective communication, relaxation techniques, and preparation for public speaking. The results showed that husbands who participated in the program demonstrated improved understanding of maternal needs, enhanced empathy, and greater readiness to provide emotional and physical support. Pregnant women reported feeling more secure, valued, and less anxious when their husbands actively engaged in the preparation process. This initiative highlights the importance of involving partners not only in physical readiness for childbirth but also in strengthening mental resilience. In conclusion, childbirth preparation education for husbands is an effective strategy to foster supportive family environments, reduce maternal stress, and promote healthier maternal mental well-being during the third trimester of pregnancy. This approach is recommended as a sustainable community-based intervention to improve maternal health outcomes.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini yaitu kegiatan penyuluhan kesehatan yang dilaksanakan oleh Dosen Universitas Mega Buana Palopo. Pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM ini bertujuan mencegah dan menekan kejadian Stunting secara dini pada remaja putri di SMKN 1 Watansoppeng. Pengabdian masyarakat ini memberikan dampak peningkatan pengetahuan anak sekolah khususnya remaja putri terkait cara mencegah stunting secara dini. Kegiatan ini bersifat deskriptif dengan tahapan pelaksanaan yaitu persiapan, edukasi (pencegahan stunting, gizi seimbang, anemia), demonstrasi perhitungan berat badan ideal dan posttest. Sasaran pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah remaja SMKN 1 Watansoppeng yang berjumlah 55 orang. Berdasarkan hasil pre tes sebagian besar pengetahuan siswi terkait tablet tambah darah dan gizi seimbang  sebanyak 27 responden (49%) memiliki pengetahuan kurang. Namun setelah dilakukan penyuluhan dan pendidikan kesehatan tersebut pengetahuan siswi meningkat menjadi sebagian besar responden yaitu 49 responden (89%) dengan tingkat pengetahuan kategori baik. Kegiatan edukasi kesehatan mengenai stunting dan upaya pencegahannya sejak dini penting dilakukan secara rutin di kalangan masyarakat, khususnya para pelajar sebagai calon orangtua, guna mendukung program penurunan angka stunting nasional. Dengan rutin menyelenggarakan kegiatan edukasi ini, diharapkan generasi muda dapat mempersiapkan diri dengan baik untuk menjadi orangtua yang berpengetahuan dan bertanggung jawab.

Abstract

Pengembangan teknologi Android menghadirkan peluang untuk menciptakan media pembelajaran interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan game edukasi berbasis Android bertema makhluk hidup (hewan dan tumbuhan) untuk siswa SD kelas 4 menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC). Game ini dirancang dengan fitur puzzle drag and drop serta kuis interaktif menggunakan Unity 3D. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan game ini mudah digunakan, menarik, dan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa, dengan tingkat kepuasan mencapai 87%. Game ini terbukti efektif sebagai media pembelajaran alternatif yang menggabungkan hiburan dan edukasi, menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan dan mandiri

Abstract

This study explores the development and evaluation of a neural network model for predicting diabetes based on clinical data. The model was built using the Keras API with TensorFlow backend. Key steps included data preprocessing, such as feature scaling with `StandardScaler` and splitting the data into training and testing sets. The neural network architecture consisted of an input layer, two hidden layers with ReLU activation functions, and an output layer with a sigmoid activation function, optimized using the Adam optimizer and binary crossentropy loss function. The model was trained over 50 epochs with a batch size of 10, incorporating a validation split of 20% to monitor performance on unseen data during training. The results demonstrated a high accuracy of approximately 97% on the test set, indicating the model's efficacy in predicting diabetes. Further analysis using a confusion matrix revealed a high count of true positives and true negatives, alongside minimal false positives and false negatives, confirming the model's robustness. These findings suggest that neural networks can be effectively employed for diabetes prediction, offering significant potential for integration into clinical decision support systems. However, further validation with larger and more diverse datasets, alongside considerations for data imbalance and model interpretability, is recommended to ensure generalizability and practical application in real-world healthcare settings.

Abstract

Desa Talun Kenas memiliki potensi hasil pertanian berupa buah pepaya yang melimpah, namun pemanfaatannya masih terbatas pada konsumsi segar dan belum memberikan nilai ekonomi optimal bagi masyarakat, khususnya kelompok perempuan. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra adalah rendahnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengolah pepaya menjadi produk bernilai tambah serta belum adanya sistem manajemen produksi yang terstruktur. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas mitra melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan diversifikasi produk pepaya. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pendekatan partisipatif dengan tahapan identifikasi kebutuhan, pelatihan teknis pengolahan, pendampingan manajemen usaha, serta evaluasi hasil kegiatan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan bersama Kelompok Bunda Harapan Islami dengan fokus pada pengolahan pepaya menjadi keripik dan manisan, serta penerapan pencatatan arus kas dan strategi pemasaran sederhana. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan produksi, efisiensi manajemen usaha, dan perluasan akses pasar. Mitra mampu menghasilkan produk olahan secara mandiri, menyusun jadwal produksi, serta memanfaatkan media sosial untuk promosi. Kesimpulannya, kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan keberdayaan mitra dari aspek produksi, manajemen, dan pemasaran, serta mendorong kemandirian ekonomi kelompok perempuan desa secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Ownership structure is very important because it is closely related to the operational control of the company. From the point of view of the theory of accounting, earnings management is determined by the motivation of the company manager. Different motivations will result in a different amount of earning management, such as the manager who also shareholders of the company with a manager who is not a shareholder and board composition also plays an important role in control of what is done by the executive or the board of directors as well as monitoring the effectiveness of the board of commissioners are affected by some degree of ownership concentration, and the relationship between managerial ownership with earnings quality is interaction by ownership concentration. This study aimed to determine the effect of managerial ownership on earnings quality, the proportion of independent directors on the quality of earnings, the interaction between managerial stock ownership by the controlling stake of the quality of earnings and the interaction between the proportion of independent directors with a controlling stake of the quality of earnings. The research sample using companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchangein 2009-2011. “The technique of purposive sampling method. “These result indicate that managerial ownership has a negative effect on the quality of earnings, proportion of independent directors has a positive effect on the quality of earnings, the interaction between managerial stock ownership with no controlling shareholding positive effect on earnings and the quality of interaction between the proportion of independent directors with a controlling shareholding positive effect on earnings quality .
