Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop disabled students’s foreign language and religion especially skill and knowledge. Being a language and religion teaching method that uses movement/physical activity to teach several materials (colours, family and asmaul husna), TPR responds favorably to disabled students’s need to be physically active, to learn by doing, and to learn language and religion in meaningful communicative and religion contexts. The activities are classified in relation to function so they can have in a lesson (colour and family) for English and Asmaul Husna for religion in fun ways. This study concludes that the main potentian of using TPR activities in language and religion teaching are in creating conditions similar to first language learning, reducing stress with singing the Asmaul Husna, and in assisting through motor movement. Abstract

The Purpose of this study is to sosialize the understanding of treating a dead body in Islamic ways in Pedalangan Village, Banyumanik Sub District, Semarang. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative through pretest and postest as the tools to analyze and solve the problems. This study is able to provide solutions to various deficiencies in understanding how to take care of dead body in Islamic way with 3.8%-53.9% incremental understanding. Abstract

This study examines how multiculturalism has been theorized, implemented, and utilized in Indonesia as a policy, discourse, and practice. The post-Suharto (the 2nd President of Indonesia) democratic process has created fresh room for formerly suppressed identities to be expressed. While much of the research on multiculturalism concentrates on racial and ethnic differences, this article attempts to widen the term's definition to encompass religious differences, as well as assess the feasibility of "religious multiculturalism", especially in Indonesia. It responds to the following concerns: What are the perspectives on multiculturalism? What are the differences between multiculturalism and pluralism? How is diversity perceived and also implemented? What distinguishes the Western concept of multiculturalism from Indonesian concepts of variety, unity in diversity, and heterogeneity? This study uses qualitative research using library research and several scholars were used to enrich this study.

Abstract

Konseling bertujuan mengetahui dan membantu menyelesaikan masalah  yang terjadi dalam proses pendidikan dan dapat dimanfaatkan bagi pengembangan peserta didik, tindakan kelas oleh guru dan keputusan penting lainnya. Pemahaman tentang hasil psikotes dan hasil pelatihan OMD ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan peserta didik di sekolah. Analisis dilakukan dengan membuat profile sesuai tema dalam orientasi masa depan, aspek kecerdasan dan Hasil Konseling. Hasil dari Penelitian menunjukan Tingkat kecerdasan peserta didik 80 % berada pada taraf rata-rata dan terdapat 3 orang pada kecerdasan di atas rata-rata., 50 % peserta didik tidak mengambil jurusan yang sesuai dengan hasil Psikotes pada pengabdian. Hampir seluruh peserta  menggunakan kata Dream, mimpi sebagai kata kunci untuk mengembangkan rencananya. Tujuan-tujuan yang dikembangkan selain tujuan individual juga tujuan-tujuan Sosial. Sebagian  besar belum mengetahui langkah-langkah apa yang harus diambil bagi masa depannya, namun maping yang dibuat cenderung lebih luas dan lengkap.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian pada Masyarakat ini bertema “Pengenalan Bahasa dan Budaya Amerika dan British” ini adalah merupakan bagian dari Tri Dharma perguruan tinggi yang harus dilaksanakan oleh dosen. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan Bahasa dan Budaya Bahasa Inggris versi Amerika dan versi British agar para peserta yaitu 18 pegawai kecamatan Tembalang ini bisa berkomunikasi secara lisan dan tulisan dalam Bahasa Inggris dengan lebih baik serta menghindari adalah kesalahpahaman karena perbedaan budaya. Metode pelaksanaan pelatihan yaitu pengenalan budaya dan Bahasa Inggris Amerika-British yang dilakukan dengan metode pemberian ceramah, berdiskusi serta pemberian contoh dengan perpaduan teori dan praktek dalam kelompok maupun berpasangan serta diskusi dan unjuk kerja hasil workshop di akhir pelatihan dengan fokus materi pada perbedaan penggunaan antara American dan British English.

Abstract

This research purpose is to enhance the English ability of Students with Special Needs in learning English vocabulary. The use of online learning media now was needed especially on distance learning in which Schooling from Home is the only choice during the pandemic era. The use of Kahoot! meet the needs of online teaching-learning activity. The research subjects were an English club in SLB D YPAC Semarang. The descriptive qualitative method was used in this research. The research result is the English ability enhancement in gaining the new vocabularies. The result is satisfying, students of SLB D YPAC Semarang were highly motivated in using Kahoot! Because they can directly see the winner podium. The final conclusion stated that utilizing Kahoot! Could enhance the English vocabulary for Students with Special Needs.

Abstract

This essay aims to learn more about how children's hope is described in the video clip of Atouna El Toufoule. In the Atouna El Toufoule, several signs have many meanings to represent the actual message and hope of the children. The study of meaning in this article uses qualitative research by analyzing images in the video clip as the primary data. Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotics theory was used to find the real meaning through signs, objects, and interpretants. The results of this study will indicate that signs are motivated mainly by social context and don't require the definition of excessive interpretation. The data takes from the video clip, which shows the side of Palestine’s social life. Interpretants also sometimes directly offer the social life, criticism, social culture, and the situation around them through music. The video clip of Atouna El Toufoule on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpF3hvMhZ1I contains children's hope, moral messages, and an invitation to create peace for children living in the conflict area. The song was translated into three foreign languages (Arabic, France, and English), and it had the purpose of making other countries feel hope.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a mathematics learning media in e-comics for one year of learning in grade 2 elementary school. This research refers to the 4-D Development Model consisting of 4 steps, namely: (1) define, (2) design, (3) develop, and (4) disseminate. The validation test results from 2 material experts showed an average percentage of 94% and 97%, while the validation test of 2 media experts showed an average percentage of 97% and 92%. Based on these data, the E-Comic Learning Media is decent to use.

Abstract

Love has a huge impact on someone's life. To be in love, someone tries to find a romantic relationship. Indeed, romantic love can be developed without having frequent or real-life interactions, such as with a stranger from a dating app. Telecom and internet fraud has become a public hazard as a new type of contactless crime, with crooks targeting large numbers of unsuspecting victims. This paper linguistically investigates the main character of the Tinder Swindler documentary film. Simon, the main character discursive strategies designed to manipulate girls' minds into accepting, even doing anything that he says to get profit to fulfill his luxurious lifestyle. Regardless of the scientific and technological tools utilized by swindlers, language is the primary communication. From a socio-semiotic standpoint, this research shows that criminal suspects use discourse resources to fabricate false information and construct false identities through discursive practice, to gain victims' trust, trick, deceive, and manipulate them into giving out confidential information and funds. This study investigates the dynamic process of selecting and building identities in the social-cultural context by altering associated discourse resources and techniques. This research also offers a socio-semiotic strategy for preventing online and telecom scams. Keywords: discursive manipulation, film, identity, scam, socio-semiotic, dating application

Abstract

Abstrak–Fitur live pada aplikasi TikTok semakin menarik minat para penggunanya, khususnya pemilik akun UMKM (usaha kecil dan menengah), untuk memasarkan produknya. Dengan bahasa komunikasi yang seru, UMKM yang memiliki akun TikTok mudah untuk menjual produknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis variasi bahasa yang digunakan pemilik akun UMKM pada aplikasi media sosial TikTok di Indonesia dalam memasarkan produknya. Kemudian, dengan ragam bahasa pemasaran yang mereka terapkan, peneliti ingin mengetahui keefektifan komunikasi jenis ini dalam meningkatkan angka penjualan produk. Metode penelitian yang digunakan peneliti adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi, pencatatan, dan pencatatan. Sebelum melakukan pencatatan & pencatatan data, tim peneliti melakukan pengumpulan data dengan cara mengamati beberapa akun UMKM di media sosial TikTok dan teknik survey menggunakan kuesioner. Data hasil observasi dan kuesioner kemudian dicatat dan disortir sesuai dengan kelompok penelitian yang diharapkan. Selanjutnya peneliti menganalisis data sesuai dengan teori bahasa komunikasi pemasaran. Berdasarkan analisis, peneliti menemukan bahwa penjual online melalui live Tiktok menerapkan strategi IMC dan word-of-mouth. IMC dilakukan dengan komunikasi verbal dengan menanggapi obrolan calon pembeli di kolom komentar. Sementara itu, word of mouth dilakukan dengan meminta pembeli yang sudah check out keranjang belanja untuk melapor di kolom komentar live chat Tiktok.
