Abstract

The research was conducted from January 01 to January 31, 2024, at the UPTD PPW II PPI Air Bangis, Pasaman Barat, West Sumatra Province. This study aimed to determine the target catch using the boat lift net fishing gear on the KM.NF vessel at the UPTD PPW II PPI Air Bangis Pasaman and to analyze the catch on Pini and Mentawai islands using the boat lift net fishing gear on the KM.NF vessel at the UPTD PPW II PPI Air Bangis Pasaman. The method used in this research was a survey method, which was analyzed descriptively. This boat lift net fishing gear utilizes light as a tool to attract the attention of fish, inviting them to approach the gear or enter the desired catch area, known as the catchable area. The boat lift net can be categorized into lifting nets based on its operational method. The use of light as an aid in boat lift nets continues to evolve, with variations ranging from stationary to floating boat lift nets. The fishing grounds for boat lift net vessels are located around the Mentawai and Pini islands, approximately 70 miles from the waters, with a depth of about 50 m. Fishing activities occur during the tide's ebb and flow at night. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Bulan Mei sampai Juni 2023 di PPI Gaung Kota Padang Sumatera Barat. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aspek teknis usaha penangkapan bagan perahu seperti bangunan bagan, waring dan bingkai waring. Menghitung aspek ekonomi usaha penangkapan bagan perahu dilihat dari modal, pendapatan dan keuntungan. Menganalisis tingkat kelayakan usaha bagan perahu dari segi finansial dilihat dari nilai BCR, FRR, PPC, dan NPV serta untuk menetahui rentabilitas pada kapal tersebut. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode survey yaitu dengan wawancara dengan pemilik kapal dan ABK. Hasil analisis finansial diketahui bahwa investasi yang diperlukan untuk kapal bagan perahu KM. Puspa 01 sebesar Rp. 991.900.000,- investasi KM. Puspa 02 sebesar Rp. 993.950.000,- pendapatan kotor KM. Puspa 01 sebesar Rp. 886.975.000,- pendapatan kotor KM. Puspa 02 sebesar Rp. 843.450.000,- dengan total biaya produksi KM. Puspa 01 sebesar Rp. 269.581.250,- total biaya produksi KM. Puspa 02 sebesar Rp. 294.562.500,-. Dengan demikian pendapatan bersih yang didapat KM. Puspa 01 dalam tahun 2022 sebesar Rp. 173.906.250,- pendapatan bersih pada KM. Puspa 02 sebesar Rp. 127.162.500. Analisis kelayakan untuk KM. Puspa 01 diketahui nilai NPV sebesar Rp. 1.530.055.528,- NPV KM. Puspa 02 sebesar Rp. 1.206.539.044,- nilai BCR KM. Puspa 01 adalah 1,24, nilai BCR KM. Puspa 02 adalah 1,17, nilai FRR KM. Puspa 01 adalah 17,53%, nilai FRR KM. Puspa 02 adalah 12,79%, PPC KM. Puspa 01 adalah 5,7 tahun, PPC KM. Puspa 02 adalah 7,8 tahun. Analisis dari kapal tersebut memiliki NPV positif, BCR>1 dan FRR > discount rate. Hal ini menunjukan usaha perikanan bagan perahu KM. Puspa 01 dan KM. Puspa 02 di PPI Gaung Kota Padang memiliki peluang yang baik dan layak untuk dikembangkan.

Abstract

Alat tangkap jenis pancing disukai karena konstruksi yang sederhana dan mudah dalam pengoperasiannya, dengan spesies target adalah tuna dan cakalang yang memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui, menganalisis, dan membandingkan nilai dan tren produktivitas dari dua jenis alat tangkap pancing yang aktif dioperasikan oleh nelayan di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Bungus. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli 2023 di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Bungus dengan metode survey. Data primer diperoleh dari hasil wawancara langsung dengan nelayan. Sedangkan, data sekunder didapatkan dari logbook penangkapan ikan yang memuat data hasil tangkapan, ukuran kapal, jumlah ABK (Anak Buah Kapal) dan jumlah trip dari tahun 2019-2022. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan produktivitas rata-rata berdasarkan GT, pancing tonda mencapai nilai tertinggi 1,01 ton/GT/tahun. Sedangkan produktivitas pancing ulur hanya mencapai 0,69 ton/GT/tahun. Produktivitas per ABK pancing tonda dengan jumlah ABK rata-rata 3 orang mencapai nilai tertinggi 3,69 ton/orang/tahun sedangkan pancing ulur dengan jumlah ABK rata-rata 8 orang hanya mencapai nilai 2,59 ton/orang/tahun. Perbandingan berdasarkan ukuran kapal dan jumlah ABK menunjukkan besaran upaya penangkapan tidak berbanding lurus dengan produktivitas. Namun, produktivitas per trip didominasi oleh pancing ulur dengan nilai rata-rata produktivitas sebesar 2,06 ton/trip/tahun sedangkan pancing tonda hanya memperoleh 1,43 ton/trip/tahun.

Abstract

Kecamatan Pasir limau kapas merupakan satu satunya Kecamatan di Kabupaten Rokan Hilir yang memiliki potensi kelautan dan perikanan dengan jumlah nelayan 4.560 orang nelayan penuh, 222 orang nelayan sambilan dan 16 orang nelayan musiman. Dilihat dari potensi sumberdaya kelautan dan perikanan di Perairan Pasir Limau Kapas Kabupaten Rokan Hilir Provinsi Riau, maka terdapat peluang untuk peningkatan pemanfatan sumberdaya berupa usaha perikanan tangkap oleh masyarakat setempat.Tujuan yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jumlah komposisi hasil tangkapan rawai pada waktu siang dan malam hari yang dilakukan di Kota Penipahan Kecamatan Pasri Limau Kapas Kabupaten Rokan Hilir pada September 2019. Selama penelitian,ikan yang didapat pada hasil tangkapan siang dan malam ada 4 jenis ikan yaitu ikan pari (Dasyatidae), ikan senangin (Eleutheronema tetradactylum), ikan malong (Muraenesox cinereus) dan ikan mata besar (Thunnus obesus). Dimana hasil tangkapan dengan menggunakan menggunakan alat tangkap Rawai adalah sebanyak 668 ekor yang memiliki berat 668 kg, dengan jumlah hasil tangkapan siang hari sebanyak 261 ekor dengan berat 333 kg, sedangkan jumlah hasil tangkapan malam hari sebanyak 407 ekor dengan berat 517 kg. Dapat dilihat bahwa jumlah hasil tangkapan terbanyak tertangkap pada pengoperasian alat tangkap pada malam hari

Abstract

Belat merupakan alat tangkap ikan di daerah pasang surut dengan cara menjebak bagian genangan air pasang dengan menggunakan tongkat atau jaring. Kurangnya data komposisi hasil tangkapan belat menyebabkan kurangnya informasi data hasil tangkapan, oleh karena itu perlu diketahui bagaimana komposisi hasil tangkapan belat dan bagaimana pengoperasian alat tangkap belat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2023 di Kecamatan Tempuling, Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir, Provinsi Riau. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi langsung di lapangan bersama nelayan untuk mengikuti proses penangkapan ikan mulai dari pemasangan alat tangkap belanak, hingga menghitung jumlah hasil tangkapan ikan belanak pada saat pengangkatan alat tangkap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komposisi hasil tangkapan belat terdiri dari 9 jenis, yaitu baung (Hemibagrus nemurus), tilan (Mastacembelus erythrotaenia), elang (Datnioides polota), juaro (Pangasius polyuranodon), betutu (Oxyeleotris marmorata), gulama (Johnius trachycephalus), udang galah (macrobrachium rosenbergii), udang putih (Litopenaeus vannamei), dan baji (Grammoplites scaber). Total berat belat selama penelitian adalah 110.710 g, dan jumlah individu sebanyak 1.719 ekor.

Abstract

This study was conducted in January 2023 at the Bungus Ocean Fishing Port to determine the achievements of operational performance and problems faced by operational activities and to what extent the Bungus PPS has implemented the level of operational performance of the Bungus Ocean Fishing Port over the past five years. The survey method was used in this study. The evaluation of operational performance at PPS Bungus is based on Kep-DJPT no 20/KEP-DJPT/2015, which contains four parameters and 28 sub-parameters. The results showed that operational performance's success value had run very well from 2017 to 2021, with values ranging from 86.75 to 89. However, several subparameters have low values: fisheries production, fishery product processing services at WKOPP, port land use (according to the master plan), and labor absorption. The value of fishermen's satisfaction with PPS Bungus' operational services in 2023 is 91.76%, which means it is perfect.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and determine environmentally friendly tuna fishing gear and the priority for developing fishing gear at PPI Kuala Langsa. The method used in this research is a survey method. Moreover, purposive sampling was chosen as a sampling technique in selecting respondents as the sample. The data obtained were processed using the scoring and analytical hierarchical processes (AHP) methods. Based on the eco-friendly level, the longline scored 82.71%, the surface gill net scored 79.38%, the bottom gill net scored 76.04%, and the purse seine scored 74.79%. Based on the results of the AHP analysis, the fishing gears that became the main priority were longline with a value of 0.311, purse seine with a value of 0.293, surface gill nets with a value of 0.220, and bottom gill net with a value of 0.176. The government must reoptimise the catch of tuna based on environmentally friendly criteria. Also, it is necessary to conduct further research related to environmentally friendly fishing gear for other types of fish, and it is necessary to apply regulations regarding environmentally friendly fishing gear.

Abstract

Hand line is the simplest type of fishing gear. It consists of a fishing rod, fishing line, and weight or bait. The Coronavirus outbreak has had an impact on capture fisheries marketing, where fish prices have decreased by up to 50%. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an effect of the Covid 19 pandemic on the number of yellow fin tuna (Thunnus albacares) catches on hand line vessels at PPS Bungus, West Sumatra Province. Productivity of hand line trip and per crew in 2019 has the highest results and there is always a decrease in 2020, productivity per trip and crew in 2020 has decreased from 2019, again there is an increase in productivity results from 2020 - 2021 although not significant. The decline in average productivity from 2019 - 2021 is the impact of the Covid 19 Pandemic, and the factors for the decline in catch productivity are the fishing season, bad weather so that the water conditions are murky (brown) which makes it difficult to catch

Abstract

Based on data from the Dumai City PPI Office in 2013 and 2019, the number of belat fishing gear in Dumai City has decreased from 20 to 7. It is suspected that there are symptoms of overfishing caused by the non-selectivity of this belat, where the bycatch is greater than the main catch, and supported by belat construction data because it is known that fishermen use a small mesh size of 1 inch. The study's purpose is to find out how the main catch and bycatch which amount of catch is more caught. Data analysis using descriptive analysis and research methods with survey methods. The main catch of belat weighing 1.914.9 kg is composed of white shrimp (Penaeus indicus), kelong shrimp (Penaeus merguiensis), Malaysian prawn (Macrobranchium rosenbergii), smallhead catfish (Euristhmus microceps), bluespot mullet (Crenimugil seheli), gulamah (Panna microdon), and the bycatch weighs 710 kg is composed of Fourfinger threadfin (Eleutheronema tetradactylum), sagor catfish (Hexanematichthys sagor), milk shark (Rhizoprionodon acutus), stingray (Dasyatis sephen), silver sillago (Sillago sihama), white snapper (Lates calcarifer), spotted scat (Scatophagus argus), crab (Portunus pelagicus), pomfret (Pampus argenteus), and saddle grunt (Pomadasis maculates)

Abstract

The waters of the Siak River in Benayah Village have several fishing gears used in fishing activities. One of the fishing gears used is belat. The belat is a type of trap and is included in the classification of other trapping devices (other traps). The purpose of this study was to determine the construction of fishing gear in general, fishing operations, and the level of environmental friendliness and the feasibility of the belat fishing business. This research was carried out in December 2022 in the waters of the Siak River. The method used in this research is the survey method. The results of the FAO withdrawal study (1995) showed that the belat in Benayah Village was classified as a very environmentally friendly fishing technology.
