Abstract

Alat tangkap belat merupakan alat tangkap yang mengandalkan pengaruh pasang surut air sungai. Perairan Sungai Siak merupakan tempat alat tangkap belat beroperasi. Nelayan setempat telah lama melakukan penangkapan ikan menggunakan alat tangkap belat di Desa Benayah, namun informasi mengenai bentuk konstruksi belat dan komposisi hasil tangkapan alat tangkap belat belum banyak dipublikasikan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif, yaitu meneliti keadaan atau objek dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang keadaan atau objek yang diteliti. Alat tangkap belat di Desa Benayah memiliki bentuk setengah lingkaran dan ukuran mata jaring 0,8 inchi sehingga tergolong alat tangkap yang tidak selektif terhadap ukuran jenis ikan yang tertangkap. terdapat 15 jenis ikan yang tertangkap, persentase jenis ikan yang tertangkap paling tinggi adalah ikan juaro sebesar 32,9% dan persentase paling rendah adalah ikan sepat sebesar 0,03% Secara umum hasil tangkapan utama ikan yang tertangkap dengan alat tangkap belat adalah 72,34% sedangkan hasil tangkapan sampingan sebesar 27,66%. Untuk ukuran mata jaring yang digunakan untuk alat tangkap bubu yang dioperasikan di Desa Benayah seharusnya menggunakan ukuran 1 inchi sesuai dengan pedoman FAO untuk kriteria alat tangkap yang ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Perairan Sungai Siak Kampung Benayah terdapat beberapa alat tangkap yang digunakan dalam aktivitas penangkapan ikan, salah satunya adalah belat. Belat termasuk jenis perangkap dalam klasifikasi termasuk alat perangkap yang lain (other traps). Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui kontruksi alat tangkap secara umum, operasional penangkapan, tingkat keramahan lingkungan dan kelayakan usaha perikanan belat. Penelitian ini akan dilaksanakan pada Desember 2022 yang belokasi di perairan Sungai Siak. Metode yang digunakan adalah survey. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan belat di Kampung Benayah tergolong teknologi penangkapan yang sangat ramah lingkungan. Dari hasil analisis usaha perikanan alat tangkap belat diketahui (NPV) dengan prediksi 10 tahun menunjukkan usaha kembali modal pada tahun pertama sebesar Rp 1.995.283.

Abstract

The development of Islamic education in Thailand reflects a complex dynamic shaped by historical, sociocultural, and governmental policy factors. This article aims to examine the historical background, educational system, and state policies that have influenced the existence of Islamic education, particularly in the southern provinces of Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, and Satun—regions known as centers of the Malay-Muslim community. This community has long played a pivotal role in preserving Islamic traditions through the provision of religious education. Islamic education in Thailand has evolved along two main pathways: traditional pondok institutions that emphasize classical Islamic studies, and modern madrasahs that integrate religious curricula with general subjects in accordance with national education standards. Since the 1960s, the Thai government has implemented policies to modernize Islamic education as part of a broader strategy to improve educational quality and promote social integration. However, these policies have also raised concerns about potential cultural assimilation and the diminishing autonomy of Islamic educational institutions. Using a qualitative approach through a literature review method, the findings reveal that Islamic education in Thailand continues to undergo adaptation and renewal. Despite facing structural and political challenges, Islamic educational institutions remain essential in maintaining the religious identity and cultural heritage of the Muslim minority in a predominantly Buddhist nation.

Abstract

This study examines the leadership of kyai within the pesantren education system through a literature review grounded in modern educational leadership theories. While the role of the kyai has traditionally been analyzed from religious and normative standpoints, academic engagement with this leadership role through the lens of contemporary educational management remains limited. This article specifically explores the relevance of three modern leadership models, transformational leadership, servant leadership, and instructional leadership in understanding the multifaceted role of the kyai as both spiritual and educational leaders in pesantren. The findings indicate that the leadership characteristics of the kyai align closely with these models: as agents of change (transformational), as community servants (servant leadership), and as key drivers of educational quality (instructional leadership). This alignment suggests that integrating modern leadership theories can enhance the management and educational outcomes of pesantren without undermining their traditional values. The study concludes by recommending further empirical research to investigate the practical implementation of these leadership concepts in addressing contemporary challenges within Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

The limited number of studies on school-based contextual learning serves as the background for this research, despite its significant impact on the development of literacy among elementary school students. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Learning Activities Outside the School Environment Program (Kegiatan Belajar di Luar Lingkungan Sekolah, KBDLS) and describe its effects on improving student literacy. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with research subjects including the principal, classroom teachers, supporting teachers, and selected students, identified through purposive sampling. The findings reveal that the implementation of the KBDLS Program enhances learning motivation, writing skills, critical thinking abilities, and students’ capacity to connect observational experiences with academic content. These results support the theories of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) and experiential learning, reinforcing the argument that real-world and environment-based learning promotes holistic literacy development. The study concludes by highlighting the crucial role of teachers as facilitators in optimizing the learning potential of the environment. The implications include theoretical contributions to the literature on contextual learning and literacy, as well as practical recommendations for elementary schools to replicate the KBDLS model as a strategy for improving students' literacy quality.
