Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning media in the form of a dynamic number card game based on number sense as a media for learning mathematics for first graders. This study uses the research and development (RD) with ADDIE model. Data collection techniques were interviews, observation, and questionnaires. The quality of the dynamic number card game was obtained from the validity and practicality test. Expert validation was carried out to evaluate the quality of media and content. The practicality test was conducted one-to-one (3 students) and in small groups (6 students working in small groups). The results showed that the dynamic number card game received a high score of validity from the expert judgment. The students also had positive responses to the practicality of the dynamic number card game in guessing and ordering numbers. The findings indicate that the dynamic number card game has the potential to be used as a medium for learning number sense for first grade students.

Abstract

This paper discusses the validity analysis of digital products in Malay culture-based Indonesian Language Skill courses through PjBL for University Elementary School Teacher Education students. The research was conducted in the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program in July-October 2022. The development model applied in the research of this paper was the research model and educational development developed by Bord and Gall, which consists of three stages namely preliminary studies, product development, and product implementation. In the research of this paper, the researchers limited only the product development stage. The data collection technique used was a research instrument in the form of a validation sheet used by material and media experts in assessing digital teaching materials. Validation instruments were given to media and material experts. Based on the analysis results, it shows that the percentage was obtained completely from the assessment by the validator of digital material development for Indonesian-language skills courses based on Malay culture and PjBL with an average percentage score of 88.82% that is categorized as very suitable to use as digital teaching materials. Nevertheless, there are several parts of the digital material that need to be revised in order to complete the digital material. In the end, the revision results of this digital material can be applied in the Indonesian Language Skills course for the students at PGSD FKIP Study Program in Universitas Riau and can be applied in the lecture system.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics-based mathematics learning is a learning innovation that aims not only to learn mathematical content but also to preserve local wisdom that exists in an area. However, many elementary school teachers, especially Kuantan Singingi district, Riau Province have not implemented ethnomathematics-based mathematics learning because its resources are not yet available. Therefore, this study aims to develop a flat shape material module based on Kuansing Malay ethnomathematics. This research uses the ADDIE model development research method with stages, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. Data collection and analysis was carried out by testing validity with experts and practicality with elementary school students. The results of the study show that the Malay Kuansing ethnomathematics-based flat shape material module meets the valid and practical criteria with a percentage of material expert validators of 94.45%, media experts of 90.17%, language experts of 91.67%, and a percentage of practicality by teachers of 96.25% and students of 92.5%. This can be concluded that the flat shape material module based on Kuansing Malay ethnomathematics meets the valid and practical criteria so that it is suitable for use in mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Abstract Teaching materials are components that have an important role in carrying out learning process activities. Teaching materials used by teachers will support the mastery of competencies achieved through learning activities. These competencies are not only related to knowledge but also about attitudes and skills. One of the attitudes as a competency possessed by students is caring for the environment. The inculcation of an attitude of caring for the environment through the learning process must be supported by the use of relevant teaching materials, one of which is teaching materials for environmental care based on local wisdom. This service program aims to improve the ability of teachers to make teaching materials based on local wisdom. This activity was carried out using a classical approach to shared perceptions about teaching materials for environmental care based on local wisdom through zoom meetings and a practical approach to making teaching materials accompanied by a Service Team by visiting schools where teachers are the target community. This activity was carried out in August – October 2022. Based on the results of the training carried out, it can be concluded that the service activities carried out ran smoothly and produced environmental care teaching materials based on Silek Nekar Tuah local wisdom. Abstract

Abstract

The local wisdom-based book-making training at SDN 021 Air Molek II was motivated by the urgent need to preserve Indragiri Hulu's local wisdom. The phenomenon of diminishing cultural knowledge among the younger generation is a major concern, as many children today no longer recognize or appreciate their own local culture. The aim of this training is to improve teachers' skills and motivation in writing books that integrate local cultural values and enrich students' learning experiences. The training methods include material preparation, theory on local wisdom and book-making techniques, hands-on practice, and a thorough evaluation of the activities and book results. The results show a significant improvement in teachers' skills and motivation. The resulting books are expected to not only enrich teaching materials but also help preserve local culture, giving students a deeper insight into their cultural heritage. The success of this training has the potential to serve as a model for similar initiatives in other schools, expanding the positive impact in cultural preservation and education quality improvement.
