This study aims to see the role of learning groups (POKJAR) in improving self-efficacy of elementary school teachers. Subjects were students (teacher / participants) POKJAR by the number of sampled as many as 171 people, who came from 5 POKJAR (Pakning, Air Molek, Sedinginan, Duri, and Chart). Selection of sample based on purposive random sampling. To obtain relevant data, the instruments used in this study are questionnaires and interview guidelines, which are arranged based on 4 indicators. The results showed that the self efficacy of teachers / participants in general showed good results. And there are 3 aspects that have the highest response or positive response (100%). Specifically, it asserts that the three aspects of teacher / participants to seriously follow the learning, felt confident of being able to follow the teaching in POKJAR because it can improve cognitive ability, confident that it can complete the task on time, and to resolve the matter of lectures and family issues wisely.

Abstract

The ability of each individual to behave using his understanding of environmental conditions such as taking decisions related to the environment is important to be understood by each student. This ability is often referred to as environmental literacy. This research is the development of an initial development learning video to train students to make decisions according to their understanding of the environment. This video was developed through the Decision Making Cooperative learning procedure. The initial process of developing this video by creating scripts that are adapted to learning competencies is understanding environmental conditions that affect health, and efforts to maintain environmental health. Several videos are selected that are suitable for learning conditions.Student activity settings are also included in the video including conditions that encourage students to draw conclusions. There are a number of inputs provided by the validation team to improve the videos, among others related to the setting of problems that will be used as material for discussion for students. The initial results of the development of this video show that this video can be tested on students.

Abstract

This study aims to improve primary students’ mathematical connections and habits of mind abilities by using REACTstrategy. This research is a quasi-experimental study conducted in 003 Peranapelementary schoolin the even semester of 2017/2018. The subjects of this study were class V students. Based on the results of data analysis and findings obtained in the study, it can be concluded that there are significant differences in abilities improvement between classes that use REACT strategies and general learning with the influence of 52%. This is proved by an enhancement of students’ mathematical connections ability in the experimental class,by the average of initial testis 54.96 to 79.13 and in the final test with an average enhancement of 0.54 included in the medium category. Whereas the control class has an enhancement in the average of initial test from 55.67 to 64.33, and in the final test with the mean of 0.05.Meanwhile, students habits of mind abilities which include self-regulation, critical thinking, and creative thinking ability can appear in the experimental and control class even though these abilities do not appear in all students.
