Abstract

The activity was conducted in Taludaa Sub-district, Bone Bolango Regency, with the aim of raising awareness among miners and the surrounding community about the dangers of mercury and introducing alternative gold processing methods that are more environmentally friendly. The program included socialization through lectures, discussions, educational video screenings, and training on mercury-free gold processing methods, such as gravity techniques and controlled cyanidation. Initial surveys revealed that more than 50% of miners still relied on mercury. The results demonstrated increased participant understanding, with 80% of them recognizing the health and environmental risks posed by mercury. Practical training also highlighted the effectiveness of alternative methods, with 75% of participants expressing confidence in adopting them. Nevertheless, challenges remain in terms of equipment access and the costs of implementing new technologies. This initiative has shown a positive impact in enhancing miners' awareness and skills, serving as a significant first step toward reducing mercury use in the region and promoting sustainability in artisanal gold mining activities.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive qualitative research that aims to determine students' metacognition skills in problem solving on thermochemical material. The instrument used in this research is a 5-number description test in problem solving questions to measure students' metacognition skills. The subjects in this study were 34 students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Tapa. The data analysis technique in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis which includes the stages of data reduction, data presentation, data analysis and conclusion drawing. The results showed that from the indicators of the questions given, students get an average value of the ability of metacognition skills for each indicator, namely: planning indicators by 67.8%, monitoring indicators by 48.2%, and evaluation indicators by 21.2%. The average results obtained on all indicators can be concluded that the ability of students' metacognitive skills on planning indicators is quite high, monitoring indicators are moderate, and evaluation indicators are low.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter bertujuan untuk membentuk individu yang tidak hanya unggul secara intelektual, tetapi juga memiliki nilai-nilai seperti integritas, tanggung jawab, dan empati. Namun, penerapan pendidikan karakter terhadap Gen Z menghadapi berbagai tantangan. Salah satunya adalah kesenjangan antara nilai-nilai tradisional dan pengaruh budaya digital yang sering kali mendorong perilaku individualistis dan instan. Selain itu, paparan konten digital yang beragam dan tidak selalu positif dapat memengaruhi perkembangan karakter generasi ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tantangan pendidikan karakter terhadap Gen Z melalui pendekatan geografi. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah library research (studi literatur) yang kemudian dianalisis dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa untuk melaksanakan pendidikan karakter pada Gen Z perlu melibatkan upaya bersama dari berbagai komponen seperti keluarga, sekolah, dan masyarakat. Mata pelajaran geografi dapat menjadi salah satu pendekatan untuk menerapkan pendidikan karakter karena mempelajari tentang alam, manusia, serta interaksi timbal balik di antara keduanya. Melalui pendidikan karakter yang baik, diharapkan perkembangan teknologi dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menghadapi tantangan dan memanfaatkan peluang yang ada.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of pH variations and collector types on the recovery efficiency and Cu content in copper sulfide mineral samples. The experiment was conducted by varying the pH (6, 8, 10, and 12) and using different types of collectors, namely Xanthate, Potassium Amyl Xanthate (PAX), Diethyl Dithiophosphate (DTP), and a combination of PAX + DTP. Control variables included flotation time (5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 minutes), collector concentration at 50 mg/L, particle size <75 µm, and the use of Frother Methyl Isobutyl Carbinol (MIBC) at a concentration of 10 mg/L. Modifiers such as NaOH and H₂SO₄ were used to adjust the pH, while Copper Sulfate (CuSO₄) served as an activator and Sodium Metabisulfite (Na₂S₂O₅) as a depressant. The results showed that variations in pH and collector types significantly influenced recovery efficiency and Cu content in the concentrate. In general, the highest recovery efficiency was achieved at pH 10 with the combination of PAX + DTP, which resulted in a higher Cu content compared to other single collectors. This combination was able to improve recovery efficiency to over 75%, with Cu content in the concentrate reaching 28%. Therefore, the findings suggest the use of a collector combination and pH optimization as strategies to enhance the performance of copper sulfide flotation.

Abstract

Artikel ini betujuan untuk melihat kebijakan pendidikan islam di Indonesia pada masa reformasi, sebagai bahan kajian dan pelajaran bagi proses dan pengambilan kebijakan dewasa ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kajian pustaka, di mana sumber atau data-data yang dihadirkan pada penelitian ini berasal dari berbagai literature yang dianalisis secara komprehensif, sistematis dan filosofis. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa kebijakan pendidikan islam di era reformasi sudah sangat baik, bahkan bisa dibilang kebijakan yang dikeluarkan sudah sangat berpihak pada pengembangan pendidikan islam baik secara proses maupun secara lembaga.

Abstract

Tidak adanya minat, komitmen, dan pemahaman dari berbagai pihak terkait seperti guru, orang tua, dan peserta didik sering menyebabkan sekolah tidak berkarakter. Banyak sekolah menemukan bahwa mereka tidak memiliki pendekatan yang sesuai dengan nilai-nilai karakter yang diinginkan, yang menyebabkan ketidakjelasan dalam penerapannya. Tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah untuk merumuskan dan mengidetifikasi bagaimana strategi menciptakan sekolah yang berkarakter di Indonesia. Hal ini sangat penting karena sistem Pendidikan yang di terapkan di Indonesia belum mampu secara efektif dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter pada peserta didik. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi pengumpulan data dengan cara menganalisis dan mengidentifikasi konten dari berbagai sumber yang berhubungan dengan “Menciptakan sekolah berkarakter.” Proses pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui Teknik dokumentasi, yang mencakup membaca text reading, dengan cara mengkaji, mempelajari dan mencatat literatur yang relevan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa menciptakan sekolah berkarakter harus menjadi bagian intregral dari kurikulum sekolah. Sekolah sangat wajib dan perlu menerapkan Pendidikan berkarakter yang bermoral secara praktis dan mengembangkan figur teladan di kalangan guru dan peserta didik. Selain itu, penting juga melibatkan masyarakat dan keluarga dalam proses menciptakan sekolah berkarakter, sehingga Pendidikan yang berdasarkan karakter dapat berjalan efektif dan berkelanjutan. Dengan kata lain Pendidikan karakter yang ada disekolah mampu membangun peserta didik yang berkualitas dan dapat mengurangi perilaku negatif terhadap peserta didik.

Abstract

Effective geography education requires instructional media capable of visualizing spatial phenomena in a realistic and interactive manner. Google Earth, a digital mapping application based on satellite imagery and geospatial data, offers an innovative approach to address this need. This study aims to examineimplementation and advantages of Google Earth as a contextual learning medium in geography education through a systematic literature review. The analysis reveals that Google Earth significantly enhances students’ comprehension of key geographical concepts, including absolute and relative location, spatial distribution, spatial interaction, and regional dynamics, through 3D visualizations and geospatial data exploration. Furthermore, its integration supports project-based and inquiry-based learning models aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum. However, several challenges hinder its implementation, such as limited technological infrastructure, low digital literacy among educators and learners, and various technical issues. To fully leverage the potential of Google Earth in geography instruction, strategic implementation planning, teacher training, and institutional support are essential.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of differentiated instruction in Chemistry subject for Grade 10 students across senior high schools in Gorontalo City using Stake’s Countenance Model. The evaluation focused on three key components: antecedent (lesson planning), transaction (instructional implementation), and outcome (student learning results). Data were collected through the analysis of lesson plans and teaching modules, classroom observations, teacher interviews, and assessments of student learning outcomes. The analysis employed both congruence and contingency approaches. The findings indicate that both lesson planning and instructional implementation fall into the "moderate" category, with average scores of 69.82% and 67.52%, respectively, while student learning outcomes were categorized as "good" with an average score of 68.89%. The contingency analysis revealed a misalignment between antecedent and transaction with the outcome, suggesting that student achievement was more strongly influenced by administrative targets (KKTP) rather than the effectiveness of differentiated instruction strategies. This study recommends the need for pedagogical training focused on strengthening conceptual understanding of differentiation, designing adaptive instructional materials, and applying authentic assessment practices to promote inclusive and responsive learning tailored to diverse student needs.

Abstract

Pembelajaran kontekstual merupakan pendekatan yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kesadaran siswa terhadap isu sosial dan lingkungan di Indonesia, terutama karena masih banyak siswa yang kurang memahami relevansi materi pelajaran dengan kehidupan nyata. Artikel ini bertujuan menjelaskan bagaimana pembelajaran kontekstual dapat menghubungkan materi geografi dengan pengalaman sehari-hari siswa, sehingga mendorong mereka untuk lebih memahami dan peduli terhadap permasalahan seperti kemiskinan, urbanisasi, perubahan iklim, dan kerusakan lingkungan. Melalui metode studi kepustakaan, penelitian ini menganalisis berbagai literatur terkait penerapan pembelajaran kontekstual dalam pendidikan geografi di Indonesia. Hasilnya mernunjukkan bahwa pernderkatan ini mampu merningkatkan kersadaran gerografis siswa dan merndorong kermampuan berrpikir kritis serrta rerflerktif. Namun, implermerntasi permberlajaran konterkstual masih mernghadapi tantangan, serperrti kerterrbatasan sumberr daya, kersiapan guru, dan kerragaman budaya yang mermperngaruhi prosers permberlajaran. Merskipun demikian, pendekatan ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam membentuk siswa yang lebih bertanggung jawab dan peka terhadap isu-isu sosial dan lingkungan, serta mendorong pembelajaran yang lebih bermakna dan relevan dengan konteks kehidupan mereka.

Abstract

This study is a literature review aimed at examining the effectiveness of the guided inquiry model based on STEM in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills. The guided inquiry model provides a structured framework for students to explore problems under teacher guidance, while the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach promotes interdisciplinary, contextual, and practical learning. Through an analysis of various relevant articles and scholarly journals, the findings indicate that the implementation of the guided inquiry model integrated with STEM consistently improves students' critical thinking abilities, particularly in areas such as analysis, evaluation, and reasoning. The study also highlights the crucial role of teachers as active facilitators in the learning process and the need for adequate resources to effectively apply this approach. The results of this review are expected to serve as a reference for educators and researchers in developing innovative and 21st-century-oriented learning strategies.
