Abstract

This research aims to analyze the marketing channel, marketing margin, and marketing efficiency of rubber on smallholder plantation of ex-UPP TCSDP. Research also analyzes the market structure and price transmition elasticity of rubber product (ojol) at Bina Baru Village. This research is using the survey method. Data was collected on 30 smallholders rubber plantation by purposive sampling technique, 2 the village merchant, and 2 the wholesaler by snowball sampling technique. The research results shows there are two rubber marketing channels which are farmers – wholesalers - factory, and farmers - village merchant – wholesaler- factory. The value of marketing margin on the first marketing channel as Rp. 6.835,00/kg, and is more efficient than the second marketing channel (45,57 percent).   Keywords : UPP TCSDP, Marketing, Margin, Efficiency, Price Transmission.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Identify and analyze the factors that effect the  decision of consumers in purchase roasted corn in the City of Pekanbaru. 2) Analyze the most decision of consumer in purchasing roasted corn in the City of Pekanbaru. The research carried out in sales location roasted corn in the City of Pekanbaru, namely in Taman Labuai or Bandar Serai Purna MTQ, Siak River Side, Naga Sakti Street, Arifin Achmad Street, H.R. Subrantas Street, Air Hitam Street. The research carried out in December 2013 to the month of June 2015. The research carried out by survey methods and sampling as many as 72 respondents. Analysis of data using the Scale's Likert Summated Ratting (SLR). The result showed that factors and psychological factors influence for consumers in purchasing roasted corn in the City of Pekanbaru, and the most dominant factors that consumers decision in purchasing roasted corn in the City of Pekanbaru with indicators that include motivation, perception, knowledge, beliefs and attitudes shown with a score 3.86. Factors that do not affect consumer purchasing decisions roasted corn in the City of Pekanbaru are cultural factors and social factors.   Keywords : Consumer Decision, Purchase, Roasted Corn.

Abstract

Rice was important comodities for Indonesian society because almost 90 percent of Indonesian consume rice as their main food sources. Rice agroindustry was activitiy to produce rice to delivered to the consumer. A long process of supplying grain to be rice involves many marketing agencies.The purpose of this study was to analyze marketing channels and marketing margins in rice agroindustry. This study conducted during January 2015to September 2015. The location of this research was determined in four rice-producing centers in Bungaraya District. The number of sample in this research were 1 trader, 6 RMUs, 5 wholesalers  and 5 retailers through snowball sampling technique.The data collection was conducted with interview technique using questionnaire prepared previously.Data were analyzed by descriptive of the patterns of marketing channels and using analytical methods margin and costs in rice marketing. The results shows that there are three patterns of marketing channel in rice agroindustry, first: farmer-trader-RMU- wholesaler; secondly: farmer-RMU-wholesaler-retailer-consumer; third: farmer- RMU. The highest marketing margin were in RMU at 36,47 percent, then retailer 12,11 percent, and wholesaler 9,91 percent. Keyword: Rice, Agroindustry, Marketing Channels, Marketing Margin

Abstract

Agriculture is one of the leading sectors of developing countries. Indonesia is a developing country that relies on plantation as foreign exchange is based on the primary sector. Rubber is one of the strategic commodities fo foreign exchange. This is evident from the history of Indonesian rubber that had become the nomber one producer of rubberr in the world. But after the reorfm era, Indonesian rubber collapsed due to low demand for rubber. This raisesa number of controversies on the marketing of the national rubber.The purposes of this research is to analyse market structure on rubber smallholders plantationof Ex UPP TCSDP in Hidup BaruVillage of Kampar Kiri Tengah District of Kampar Regency. This research started from June 2015 till  March 2016. The research method who used in this research is survey method. Data was collected on 31rubber farmers by purposive sampling technique, 6Village Merchantsby purposive sampling technique,3 Medan Wholesalers by purposive sampling technique and Bridgestone’s Factory by Snowball Sampling. The research results shows there is a rubber marketing channel which are Smallholder Plantation- Village Merchant – Medan Wholesaler - Factory. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor dominan yang mempengaruhi keputusan ekonomi rumahtangga petani padi sawah di Kecamatan Sabak Auh Kabupaten Siak. Untuk menjawab hal ini maka digunakan pendekatan ekonometrika, yakni membangun model persamaan simultan dengan pendugaan parameter menggunakan metode Two Stage Least Square. Temuan utama dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada blok produksi faktor yang dominan adalah luas panen padi sawah, total tenaga kerja dalam usahatani, dan biaya sarana produksi. Pada blok alokasi waktu kerja dalam usahatani padi, faktor yang dominan adalah pendapatan rumahtangga petani dalam usaha. Tenaga kerja luar petani dipengaruhi oleh produksi, umur petani, pendidikan petani, dan pengalaman kerja petani. Selanjutnya alokasi waktu kerja luar usaha dipengaruhi oleh pendapatan petani diluar usahatani dan alokasi waktu kerja petani diluar usahatani. Pada blok pendapatan didalam usaha dan diluar usaha dipengaruhi oleh besar kecilnya alokasi waktu kerja. Selanjutnya pengeluaran yang terdiri dari konsumsi pangan, konsumsi non pangan, investasi pendidikan, investasi usaha, pengeluaran rekreasi, dan tabungan faktor dominan yang responsif mempengaruhinya adalah pendapatan total rumahtangga petani.This study aimed to analyze the dominant factors that respect to economic decisions of paddy farmer households in Subdistrict of Sabak Auh, The District of Siak. The econometric model of simultaneous equations approach to the Two-Stage Least Square method (2SLS) was used to answer the study goals. The main findings of this study showed that the harvested area of paddy, the total allocation of work time in rice farming and costs of production facilities are the dominant factors of production. The block allocation of work time in rice farming respects to dominant factors by income in rice farming, and allocation working time of non-rice farming. In another hand, the using of labor from outside the households’ respects to dominant factor by production. Meanwhile, allocation working time of non-rice farming, with respect to dominant factors by the income of non-rice farming, farmer work experience, and age of the farmer. At income in rice farming and non-rice farming with respect to the allocation of work time proportion. At expenditure block that consisted of food consumption, non-food consumption, farming investment, education investment, and saving, respect to total household income.

Abstract

The development of cattle through the system of integration in the oil palm plantation area has great opportunity to be developed in the region, given the potential of oil palm plantations that are widely available, especially the people’s plantation. Crop livestock integration system is an agricultural system characterized by close association between crop components and livestock in a farming activity. The linkage is a trigger factor in encouraging farmer’s income growth and suistainable regional economic growth. This research was conducted in PangkalanLesung district of Pelalawan regency which aims to know the perception of farmers on the role of the guarantor institution and the risk bearer in supporting the SISKA program. The study was conduced from June to November 2017 using survey methods and intentional sampling techniques on government supported groups, while data analysis used Likert’s scale. The results showed that the perception of farmers on the role of insurers and risk insiders as a whole including the category less play with the average score of 2,12 which indicates that the role of the insurer and the risk is still not aptimally felt by the groupin supporting the development of SISKA seen from the primary production activity with a score of 2,79 including the category of enough role, product processing activities with a score of 1,78 including the category is very no role and marketing activities results with a score of 1,79 including the category very no role. Keywords :Perseption, institutions, risk, integration.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola pada saluran pemasaran dan kinerja pasar. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Talontam, Kecamatan Benai, Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. Penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling untuk mendapatkan sampel petani dan snowball sampling untuk mendapatkan sampel pedagang. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah (1) saluran pemasaran swadaya yang terdiri dari dua jalur pemasaran saluran I dari petani, pedagang pengumpul, dan pedagang besar dan saluran pemasaran II dari petani langsung ke pedagang grosir (2) kinerja pasar pada saluran pemasaran I menghasilkan margin pemasaran Rp.6.624,92/kg, sedangkan pada saluran pemasaran II Rp.4.167,00/kg, efisiensi pemasaran saluran pemasaran I sebesar 7,17% dan saluran pemasaran II sebesar 3,54% Farmer’s share saluran pemasaran I pola swadaya sebesar 87,23% sedangkan pada saluran pemasaran II sebesar 99,96%.Kata kunci: Saluran, kakao, pemasaran, kinerja, dan pola swadaya

Abstract

Provision of government assistance to the SISKA (integration of cattle and oilpalm) program has encouraged farmers to form groups. One component of the aid was the communal stall which is a joint enclosure developed in one location. The development of communal stalls is not always successfully maintained by the groups. This study aimed to analyze the perception of SISKA farmers on the role of extension as well as the driving and inhibiting factors of the extension role. The study was conducted in Kecamatan Pangkalan Lesung and Kerumutan Subdistrict of Pelalawan District based on the existence of 11 groups of farmers who still apply SISKA. The analytical method used was perception analysis by average scoring method and perceptual mapping by spiderweb graph. Sampling was conducted by census in 11 farmer groups with a total of 125 members (38 farmers who applied individual stalls and 87 farmers who applied communal stalls). The results showed that the perception towards extension of farmers applying communal stalls was in “good”category, while the perception of farmers applying individual stalls was in “less good” category. The role of extension workers in both systems that has not been functioning was in facilitating farmers to partner.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the marketing system in the auction market and analyze marketing costs, marketing margins, marketing profits, farmer’s share and marketing efficiency at the rubber auction market in Kuantan Mudik District. The sampling method used by farmers is purpusive sampling as many as 23 people and sampling traders using the census method as many as 8 people. The results show that the auction marketing system occurs because of the problems faced by farmers, namely long marketing channels and traders can control the price of bokar due to the low quality of bokar. Farmers participating in the auction market must meet the bokar quality standards set by the Kuantan Singingi Rubber Farmers Association (APKARKUSI) and join a farmer group or Gapoktan. Farmers have limitations in marketing bokar directly to factories, therefore farmers involve marketing agencies. Rubber marketing channels in the auction market are started from farmers-big traders-factories. Farmers who participate in the auction market are subject to a 5% reduction in bokar volume consisting of 3% depreciation, 1% transportation costs and 1% group operating costs. The selling price of bokar in July 2020 received by farmers was Rp7.367,50/kg, total marketing cost was Rp1.316,56/kg, marketing margin was Rp1.596,25/kg, marketing profit was Rp229,69/kg, farmer's share 82,19% and 14,69% marketing efficiency. This auction marketing system is efficiently used by farmers in the bokar marketing process in Kuantan Mudik District, because efficiency below 50% means the lower the percentage of marketing efficiency, the more efficient marketing.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial feasibility and sensitivity to changes in input prices, output prices and the amount of production of cocoa farmers in the Prima Jaya Farmers Group. Prima Jaya Farmers Group is a cocoa farmer group that was formed in 2016. This research uses a case study method, the research data consists of primary data and secondary data. The feasibility data analysis was carried out using three investment criteria, namely Net Presen Value (NPV), Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B/C), Internal Rate of Return (IRR). The results of the study concluded that the business activities carried out by farmers in the Prima Jaya Farmer Group were financially feasible, this was indicated by a positive NPV value of Rp. 105.097.456. The IRR value is higher than the discount rate, which is 26.65%, the Net B/C value is 3,70. The results of the sensitivity analysis based on changes in input prices by 10%, a decrease in the price of cocoa beans by 49,21% and a decrease in the amount of cocoa production by 49,15% indicate that cocoa farming carried out by farmers in the Prima Jaya Farmer Group is still financially feasible.
