Abstract

This workshop aimed to strengthen character education among the youth of the Al-Furqon Campus Mosque, UPDN Nganjuk, by integrating religious and moral values into their daily activities. The program utilized participatory methods such as worship practices, group discussions, and interactive lectures to foster key character traits including discipline, responsibility, trustworthiness, confidence, and care. The management and design of mosque-based activities such as prayer, Quran recitation, and religious lectures were found to be effective in instilling these values. Evaluation through observation and participant feedback indicated significant improvement in the participants’ character development and engagement. The workshop also highlighted the importance of supportive leadership and relevant, practical activities in sustaining youth involvement. These findings suggest that mosque-centered character education programs can play a vital role in shaping the moral and spiritual foundation of adolescents.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of parental guidance in fostering Islamic-based moral education for early childhood in Joho Village, Pace District, Nganjuk Regency. The program emphasizes the active involvement of parents in collaboration with educators to instill core Islamic values such as honesty, empathy, and responsibility in young children. Using a qualitative approach, the research highlights the importance of synergistic relationships between families, schools, and the community known as the "Tripusat Pendidikan" (Three Centers of Education) to create a supportive environment for character development. The findings demonstrate that practical methods, including storytelling, habituation, and exemplary behavior, are effective in shaping children's moral character. The study also identifies key supporting factors, such as high parental motivation and community support, as well as challenges like varying educational backgrounds and time constraints among parents. Overall, the program successfully enhances parents' confidence and skills in moral education, and the collaborative approach ensures the sustainability of Islamic character formation in early childhood.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of bullying prevention assistance through an Islamic values approach in middle schools in Pace District, Nganjuk. Bullying remains a significant issue in educational settings, negatively impacting students’ psychological well-being and the overall school climate. The program integrates Islamic values such as compassion, tolerance, self-control, and respect into school activities, curriculum, and counseling services. Qualitative methods, including classroom observation, interviews with teachers, and curriculum analysis, were used to assess the effectiveness of this approach. The findings indicate that embedding Islamic values in daily school life enhances students’ empathy, self-control, and mutual respect, contributing to a more harmonious and inclusive environment. The study also highlights the importance of teacher training, collaborative efforts among stakeholders, and the development of anti-bullying policies rooted in religious and moral education. These results suggest that an Islamic values-based approach can serve as an effective model for bullying prevention in similar educational contexts.

Abstract

This community service program focused on the socialization and practical application of Islamic parenting in the digital era for parents of students at the Darussaadah Islamic Boarding School Foundation, Nganjuk. The initiative aimed to equip parents with knowledge and skills to address the challenges of raising children amidst rapid technological advancements and pervasive digital influences. Activities included interactive seminars, discussions, and hands-on workshops emphasizing the integration of Islamic values with effective digital-age parenting strategies. The results demonstrated increased parental awareness of the importance of monitoring children’s digital activities, fostering discipline, and instilling strong moral and religious foundations. Parents reported improved confidence in guiding their children to use technology responsibly while upholding Islamic principles. The program highlights the necessity of continuous education and collaboration between parents and educators to ensure children’s holistic development in the digital age. This approach serves as a model for strengthening family resilience and character education within Islamic communities.
