Abstract

The success of a Tax Amnesty Program (TAP) in developing countries such as Indonesia depends not only on fiscal policy execution but also on how taxpayers perceive and trust the program. This study integrates the Information System Success Model with the trust construct to empirically examine the factors affecting TAP performance from a citizen-centric perspective. Using a quantitative approach, the research involved 414 Indonesian taxpayers selected through stratified random sampling, with data analysed using SmartPLS 3.0. One hundred eighty-seven valid responses were retained after a filtering process based on TAP knowledge awareness. The proposed model includes six constructs: Information Quality (INQ), Program Quality (PGQ), Service Quality (SVQ), Taxpayer Trust (TPT), Taxpayer Satisfaction (TSF), and Net Benefits (NBF). The structural model revealed that INQ significantly affects both TPT and TSF, and that TSF has the most decisive influence on NBF. However, PGQ and SVQ did not considerably impact TPT, suggesting that trust in TAP may be influenced more by institutional and cultural factors than perceived technical features. The findings highlight the necessity to enhance tax information accuracy and transparency while strengthening public trust and satisfaction. This study provides an integrative model to evaluate TAP success and offers practical insights for policymakers aiming to improve taxpayer participation through trust-based interventions. The novelty lies in quantitatively integrating information systems and behavioural trust constructs within the tax amnesty framework.

Abstract

This paper investigates the impact of CEO bias, specifically overconfidence, on the financial sustainability of digital banks and the relationship between these risks. To organize prospective assessment into CEO decision-making within the digital banking industry, the evaluation employs the pitching research methodology (Faff, 2015 and 2024).This study compares and contrasts an array of existing theories and prior academic findings published between 1970 and 2024, categorized into key components such as CEO bias, moral hazard, adverse selection, and fintech solutions, and how each of these interacts with financial sustainability and governance in digital banking. This study indicates that CEO overconfidence plays a critical role in influencing the risk management practices of digital banks, particularly in the context of moral hazard and adverse selection. While fintech innovations such as big data and machine learning have improved banks' ability to assess borrower risk, they cannot fully mitigate the risks posed by information asymmetry, especially when CEO bias skews decision-making. This paper is expected to fill part of a gap in linking the studies of how CEO bias impacts the financial sustainability of digital banks, exposing moral hazard and adverse selection. It provides a practical approach to examining the moderating influence of CEO bias on moral hazard and adverse selection in Indonesia’s digital banking sector, where fintech tools are heavily relied upon. While previous research has focused on the technical risks of fintech solutions, this paper explores how behavioral biases, particularly overconfidence, impact digital banking sustainability.

Abstract

Along with human civilization, the function of business management has changed. Adaptation is carried out as a form of wisdom in understanding social and environmental issues for becoming a new pillar in building business management sustainability. The qualitative study with a grounded theory approach is carried out to appreciate the thought of wisdom in developing management philosophy and using desk study to analyze data from scientific publications. The result proves that the existence of business management has evolved over the past 100 years from classical, neo-classical, and modern management, even in the era of sustainability. Starting from the industrial revolution 1.0 with the achievement of production efficiency up to 4.0 with speeding of information technology. Although different challenges in each era, the management goal remains the same to manage limited resources in order to meet the various desires of a changing world. Aligning with environmental issues, harmony among social responsibility, and economic growth is needed as the foundation of management philosophy so that a sense of wisdom characterizes the sustainability of current and future business goals. This study serves as a grounded theory to trace the essence of wisdom along the course of classical to modern management thinking that is synergized with sustainable development.

Abstract

To harmonize sustainable development in the entrepreneurship sector, a study was carried out to get an overview of knowledge mapping and current issues on sustainable entrepreneurship. Qualitative research was conducted through bibliometric analysis using VosViewer on Scopus metadata for exploring a grounded theory. The density of visualization shows that the yellow color gradation on sustainable entrepreneurship is opaquer than the entrepreneurship’s color, so it is new to be developed as a novelty. The visualization overlay captures the linked topics of entrepreneurial studies since 2008. It is looked at some issues e.g., innovation, sustainability and development which are the gradating color of light green that has been published since 2014-2015. Conversely, other topics e.g., sustainable business models, social capital performance, business venture, and social entrepreneur are detected as current issues. On sustainable entrepreneurship, the overlay of visualization depicts the linked among specific topics e.g., entrepreneurial intention, higher education, business model, and SMEs which has been published since 2012. The further study will improve the topic of sustainable entrepreneurial intention by involving the social domain as a novelty. The bibliometric analysis results in science mapping as the basis for building a state of the art so that researchers can elaborate on ontology issues, and build epistemology and axiology in this study.

Abstract

In line with the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs), environmentally friendly business is a new challenge in carrying out entrepreneurial activities. Research on the relationship between environmental attitudes and the formation of student intentions in green entrepreneurship is necessary. Entrepreneurship students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Tarumanagara, were involved as respondents (n = 280) using a convenience sampling technique. The purpose of this study was to determine students' intentions in green entrepreneurship activities by considering environmental attitude variables proxied through the New Ecological Paradigm (NEP) in the preparation of instruments. The results of the validity test showed that only 10 indicators could be maintained as a measure of environmental attitudes with a Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.892 and a composite reliability of 0.911 so that both were in the satisfactory category. The results of structural regression testing show a significant effect of environmental attitudes on green entrepreneurship intentions at a significance level of 5 percent. R-square of 24.60 percent indicates the large contribution of environmental attitudes to this intention. The mechanism of the relationship between attitudes and intentions is in accordance with the theory of planned behavior while the transformation in the aspect of environmental sustainability is in line with the triple bottom line theory. Based on these results, it can be adapted to an educational approach or involving stakeholders in an entrepreneurship learning approach as a support for achieving Indonesia's SDGs in 2030.

Abstract

Entrepreneurs can take affordable loss actions when facing uncertain situations. This action is the entrepreneur's ability and willingness to lose or suffer losses from the entrepreneurial investment he makes. This behavior allows entrepreneurs to survive and even develop when facing an economic crisis due to the past Covid-19 pandemic. This study investigates the variables that influence the affordable loss behavior of SME owners in Jakarta, Greater Area using The Theory of Planned Behavior. Questionnaires were distributed to 200 SME owners engaged in the culinary, retail, service and manufacturing sectors. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Square. The results of this study indicate that attitudes and perceived behavioral control can be used to predict affordable loss behavioral intentions. Meanwhile, the subjective norm variable has insignificant predictive ability. The perceived behavioral control variable has the strongest association with behavioral intention. Entrepreneurs are encouraged to have positive views and attitudes towards their abilities and skills in order to be able to behave at an affordable loss, so that business continuity can be guaranteed.
