Abstract

Beberapa penelitian sebelumnya banyak mengaitkan kemandirian pada siswa dengan autism spectrum disorder dengan aktivitas sehari-hari (AKS). Hasil penelitan menggambarkan anak autis yang tidak mengikuti program AKS adalah anak tersebut tidak memiliki pengembangan keterampilan sendiri untuk makan, berpakaian, aktivitas toilet, kebersihan diri, aktivitas rumah dan masyarakat. Kehidupan sehari-hari memberikan banyak contoh situasi keteraturan, salah satunya misalnya kewajiban untuk membuang sampah. Perilaku pilah sampah merupakan kegiatan mengelompokkan dan memisahkan sampah sesuai dengan jenis, jumlah, atau sifat sampah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai kemandirian siswa SMA dengan autism spectrum disorder di Sekolah Khusus Pelita Bunda Samarinda dari program pembiasaan perilaku pilah sampah. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode pembiasaan yang pada prosesnya berintikan pengulangan. Dari kegiatan yang telah dilakukan selama masa pengabdian, hasil keseluruhan menunjukkan siswa SMA dengan autism spectrum disorder di Sekolah Khusus Pelita Bunda Samarinda telah mampu untuk melakukan pilah sampah berdasarkan jenisnya secara umum (organik, anorganik dan B3) meskipun dalam praktiknya, siswa masih sering membutuhkan arahan dalam memahami hal baru seperti ketika menentukan jenis sampah yang tidak biasa siswa temui di kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Purpose: Learning media play a crucial role in the educational process, especially for early childhood learners in kindergarten. These media support the development of various aspects of a child’s growth, including motor skills, language, moral values, social-emotional well-being, cognition, and artistic expression. Young children learn most effectively through play and interaction with engaging and easy-to-understand media.   Method: The method used is observation to examine the phenomenon, followed by the implementation of interactive learning an approach to the teaching and learning process that emphasizes the active involvement of students through two-way interactions between students and teachers, among students, and between students and learning media. The goal of interactive learning is to create a dynamic, participatory, enjoyable, and meaningful learning environment, so that students are not merely passive recipients of information, but also take an active role in constructing their own understanding.   Practical Applications: The interactive learning implemented at YASPA Kindergarten Palembang through various media such as pasting and cutting, drawing and storytelling, counting using puzzles, reading applications, block play, and paper sewing contributes significantly to early childhood development.   Conclusion: Based on the internship at YASPA Kindergarten Palembang regarding the implementation of interactive learning media for early childhood, it can be concluded that the use of various interactive media such as scrapbook, picture sequence cards, number puzzles, letter cards, building blocks, and paper sewing activities is highly effective in enhancing children's engagement, creativity, as well as cognitive and motor skills.

Abstract

Fun learning is a learning approach that emphasizes a fun and interactive learning process that can increase student engagement and motivation. In general, fun learning can be defined as a learning strategy that creates an effective and engaging learning atmosphere, by utilizing games, interactive media, and fun activities so that the learning process does not only focus on receiving material, but also on students' direct experience in constructing their own knowledge. This method has been initiated by educators as a way to make learning more interesting and can improve overall student learning achievement starting from Observation and Introduction to the Environment, Design and Preparation of Fun Learning Media, Implementation of Fun Learning Activities, Reflection and Simple Evaluation and Preparation of Final Reports. The results of this activity The use of the Fun Learning Activity method also shows that fun learning can create a warm and comfortable classroom climate. Students who initially tended to be shy, hesitant, or lacked confidence, gradually began to dare to express themselves, interact in English, and follow teacher instructions with enthusiasm. These interactive activities allow students to learn through direct experience, so that the knowledge gained becomes more embedded and can be applied in relevant contexts.

Abstract

This community service program aims to assist second-grade students at SDN 5 Tanjung Lago in understanding basic numeracy concepts. The method applied is Learning through Play, using Number Puzzle media as an instructional tool. The results of the community service activity indicate that the implementation of this media has a positive impact on both the learning process and students’ mathematics learning outcomes. Through concrete and enjoyable learning activities, students are able to more easily comprehend basic arithmetic operations. Furthermore, the use of Number Puzzles has been proven to increase students’ motivation and interest in learning. A learning atmosphere designed in the form of games, combined with the provision of rewards, encourages students to be more active, diligent, and enthusiastic in participating in learning activities.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has increased adolescents’ exposure to ultra-fast digital content, such as short-form videos on social media platforms. This study aims to examine the impact of exposure to ultra-fast digital content on emotion regulation and executive functions among adolescents. Using a positivistic quantitative approach with a descriptive-correlational design, data were collected from 36 adolescent respondents through questionnaires employing a five-point Likert scale, supported by interviews and observations. The results indicate that the level of exposure to ultra-fast digital content among adolescents is in the moderate to high category. Emotion regulation and executive functions are generally at a moderate level, with notable difficulties in attention control and impulse control. Statistical analysis reveals that higher exposure to ultra-fast digital content is associated with lower levels of emotion regulation and executive functions. These findings suggest that ultra-fast digital content may affect adolescents’ emotional and cognitive control processes, particularly during a critical developmental period. The study highlights the importance of digital literacy and balanced media use to support healthy emotional and cognitive development among adolescents.
