Abstract

ESD competence is key for teachers to implement ESD in schools so that education can make a real contribution to achieving sustainable development goals. This study analyzes the relationship between perceptions of teacher ESD competence and ESD implementation in Junior High Schools (JHS). This study uses a correlational study. The population in this study included JHS teachers. The research sample consisted of 384 teachers who were taken using a multistage sampling technique by taking teachers from 3 sub-districts in 6 urban districts. The data collection method used is by distributing questionnaires to respondents. Data analysis is using percentage analysis technique amd Pearson correlation analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that teachers need ESD competencies because teachers feel that the implementation of ESD in schools is still in the average category. So teachers hope to acquire competencies related to ESD in more depth. Based on this, it is hoped that policymakers at the national level, local governments, and even the schools themselves will organize activities to improve ESD competence for teachers in various forms of training, seminars, and others. This is done so that the implementation of ESD in schools can be maximized so that teachers, as the spearhead of education, can make a real contribution to achieving the 2030 agenda.

Abstract

Handphone menjadi perangkat elektronik yang digunakan oleh setiap orang sebagai alat komunikasi dan media yang mempengaruhi karakter anak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penggunaan handphone dalam mengembangkan karakter rasa ingin tahu anak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Bandung. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu orang tua yang memiliki anak usia sepuluh tahun. Metode yang digunakan antara lain studi Pustaka dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis interaktif, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan handphone yang difasilitasi oleh orang tua dengan baik dapat mengembangkan karakter rasa ingin tahu anak. Anak dapat menggunakannya untuk bermain game, membeli sesuatu pada platform online yang tersedia di handphone, berkomunikasi dengan orang lain, terutama teman dan keluarga, senang mengembangkan program untuk menjual sesuatu, serta membuat toko online untuk menjual barang bekas. Namun, dalam pelaksanaannya, terdapat kendala terutama dalam pengawasan jam menggunakan handphone. Oleh sebab itu, disarankan kepada orang tua untuk mengarahkan anak dalam penggunaan handphone secara tepat terutama dalam mengembangkan karakter rasa ingin tahu anak.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of the teacher who serves as a role model for developing the character of students at the junior high school level. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. The participants involved in this study were school principals, deputy principals, teachers of Islamic religious education and PKN, guidance and counseling teachers, homeroom teachers, and students from three junior high schools in Bandung. Data is collected through several techniques, namely interviews, observation and documentation. Data were analyzed using an interactive model from Miles & Huberman which includes the steps of: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research findings show that several aspects of the teacher's personality that can be role models in developing student character are the use of language, behavior, and personality. The values that can be learned from the teacher's example are honesty, responsibility, courtesy, tolerance, discipline, and caring. There are several factors that become inhibiting and supporting. Several supporting factors in developing student character include curriculum content standards, leadership, commitment, and togetherness. Factors that become obstacles to developing student character are the low level of parental concern, the apathy of teachers and students, and the use of funds that are not optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate learning objectives, strategies in achieving memorization targets, how to carry out the Al-Qur'an tahfiz learning curriculum. The research method used is a qualitative approach by directly analyzing the daily activities of teachers and participants through various processes including muayasyah, research and development, interview, library, and documentation. This research was conducted in five Islamic boarding schools in West Java, Indonesia. The results of the research show that teachers are at the forefront of curriculum development, that every teacher must be smart in capturing every situation that develops. The results of research on Islamic boarding schools show that by giving teachers the widest possible authority to carry out the curriculum and develop it according to situations and conditions in the field, it has succeeded in facilitating students to achieve memorization targets according to their respective abilities. That the materials and learning strategies that have been developed can be used as comparisons in order to improve teacher quality. From this study it can be concluded that in the work of compiling the curriculum it is not enough to only use experts but also must involve experienced teachers as a team and contributors of ideas from the field.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to provide a thorough bibliometric assessment of the literature on the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create) learning model for primary schools that are oriented toward education for sustainable development. articles discovered using the Google Scholar database and the Publish or Perish software (PoP). From 2015 to 2022, 200 papers were located in the Google Scholar database. Utilizing the reference manager Zotero, the chosen articles were then managed. The researcher organized the database, and then used VOS-viewer software to categorize and visualize it. The results are based on research, it is necessary to implement ESD that develops sustainability consciousness competencies, namely abilities that include knowledge about sustainable development, attitudes, and behaviors that contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is necessary to apply a model that has adequate steps to develop the competence of sustainable consciousness. One of the solutions carried out by researchers is implementing ESD through the ESD-oriented RADEC learning model. Through the development of the ESD-oriented RADEC learning model, it is hoped that it will be able to provide knowledge and skills in environmentally friendly practices and even stick to sustainable attitudes and behavior in each student. The implementation of the ESD-oriented RADEC model can be applied to all disciplines, not only environmental education.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to design and develop an Education of Sustainable Development-oriented RADEC learning design model for enhancing the environmental literacy of elementary school students. The research approach employed consists of four key stages: (1) problem identification, (2) defining various objectives, (3) design and development, and (4) product validation. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling and comprised six elementary school teachers from various grade levels, ranging from grade 1 to grade 6. Data collection involved the use of scaled questionnaires and interviews. The collected data were then analyzed using the Explanatory Sequential Mixed Method. The results indicate that the curriculum design for the ESD-oriented RADEC learning model is suitable for implementation in elementary schools. This conclusion is supported by the mean score of 3.98 and a standard deviation of 0.22, showing a consistent range of responses among experts. In other words, the experts unanimously agree that the product design is appropriate for classroom learning. To further assess the validity of the design, a one-way ANOVA test was conducted to determine if there were significant differences in the opinions of experts across various domains (ESD, RADEC, Environmental Literacy, and Basic Education). The results revealed that the F score and p-value exceeded α = 0.05, indicating no significant differences in the perceptions of the experts involved in the study. In summary, the experts reached a consensus that the product design exhibits a high level of feasibility, earning a "proper" rating in each component developed.Keywords: environmental literacy, ESD, RADEC learning model. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan model pembelajaran RADEC berorientasi Education of Sustainable Development (ESD) untuk mengembangkan literasi lingkungan siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian design and development. Prosedur Design and Development yang terdiri dari beberapa langkah yaitu : (1) identifikasi masalah, (2) mendeskripsikan berbagai tujuan, (3) rancangan dan pengembangan artefak, (4) uji validasi artefak.  Penelitian ini melibatkan enam orang guru sekolah dasar dari kelas 1 sampai 6 dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner tertutup berskala likert dan wawancara. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan Explanatory Sequential Mixed Method yaitu metode analisis data yang menggunakan analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain kurikulum model pembelajaran RADEC berorientasi ESD layak diterapkan di sekolah dasar, hal ini ditunjukkan dari skor mean (3,98) dan standar deviasi (0,22) dengan rentang yang tidak jauh berbeda. Dapat diartikan persepsi ahli bersifat homogen (setuju) bahwa desain produk layak diterapkan dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji one way ANOVA untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan pendapat para ahli yang signifikan dari para ahli (ahli ESD, RADEC, Literasi lingkungan dan Pendidikan Dasar). Didapatkan hasil skor F dan p-value lebih besar dari α = 0,05 dari uji tersebut. Hasil ini menunjukkan persepsi para ahli yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini tidak berbeda nyata. Artinya, para ahli sepakat bahwa desain produk yang dikembangkan memiliki kriteria tingkat kelayakan dengan kategori “layak” untuk setiap komponen produk yang dikembangkan.Kata kunci: literasi lingkungan, ESD, model pembelajaran RADEC.

Abstract

Orang mukmin hendaknya mampu mensyukuri anugerah tersebut dengan memfungsikan potensi dan kapasitasnya untuk selalu belajar. Belajar adalah key term (istilah kunci) yang paling vital dalam setiap usaha pendidikan, sehingga tanpa belajar sesungguhnya tak pernah ada pendidikan.[1]Sebagai suatu proses, belajar hampir selalu mendapat tempat yang luas dalam berbagai disiplin ilmu yang berkaitan dengan upaya kependidikan. Perubahan dan kemampuan untuk berubah merupakan batasan dan makna yang terkandung dalam belajar. Karena kemampuan berubahlah, manusia terbebas dari kemandegan fungsinya sebagai khalifah di bumi. Selain itu, dengan kemampuan berubah melalui belajar, manusia secara bebas dapat mengeksplorasi, memilih, dan menetapkan keputusan-keputusan penting untuk kehidupannya. Abstract

Teachers play an essential role in the success of school media literacy programs. This study analyzes teachers' current perceptions of media literacy competence in junior high schools in West Java, Indonesia. Descriptive research methods have been used to describe and summarize data using statistical techniques. The sample consisted of 381 respondents obtained using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection was obtained from questionnaires distributed through online platforms. The results analyze teachers' perceptions of their knowledge, skills, and attitudes towards media literacy. Teachers understand this concept strongly, recognizing that it goes beyond traditional literacy concepts, including reading and writing. Expertise is also demonstrated in accessing various forms of media. However, media skills are still relatively weak in content analysis and integration into teaching practice because teachers lack the necessary skills to integrate concepts into their teaching practice effectively. A particularly positive attitude towards this concept, recognizing the ability to equip students with the 21st-century skills necessary for today and the future. The research implications describe their literacy conditions as a basis for developing media literacy education. AbstrakGuru memegang peranan penting dalam keberhasilan program literasi media di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persepsi guru saat ini terhadap kompetensi literasi media di sekolah menengah pertama di Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Metode penelitian deskriptif digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan dan merangkum data dengan menggunakan teknik statistik. Sampel berjumlah 381 responden yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data diperoleh dari kuesioner yang disebar melalui platform online. Hasilnya menganalisis persepsi guru saat ini mengenai pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap mereka terhadap literasi media. Para guru memiliki pemahaman yang kuat tentang konsep ini, menyadari bahwa konsep ini melampaui konsep literasi tradisional yang mencakup membaca dan menulis. Keahliannya juga ditunjukkan dalam mengakses berbagai bentuk media. Namun, keterampilan media masih relatif lemah dalam bidang analisis isi dan integrasi ke dalam praktik mengajar karena guru kurang memiliki keterampilan yang diperlukan untuk secara efektif mengintegrasikan konsep ke dalam praktik mengajar mereka. Sikap yang sangat positif terhadap konsep ini, mengakui kemampuan membekali siswa dengan keterampilan abad ke-21 yang diperlukan untuk saat ini dan masa depan. Implikasi penelitian tersebut menggambarkan kondisi literasi mereka sebagai landasan dalam mengembangkan pendidikan literasi media.Kata Kunci: Literasi media; persepsi guru; sekolah menengah pertama
