Abstract

Abstract: Online learning is an educational innovation that involves elements of information technology in learning with a set of teaching methods where there are teaching activities that are carried out separately from learning activities. Japanese uses several letters in its writing, one of them is kanji. Kanji are letters that consist of elements of from, sound and meaning. From this it can be understood that kanji is an important aspect and effects the reading ability of Japanese learners themselves. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of online learning on the result of kanji learning by using a descriptive quatitative approach. Data collection in this study used a written test and a questionnaire conducted on 33 respondents. From the results of this study obtained a moderate correlation.Key Word: Kanji, Online Learning, The Effect

Abstract

Abstract : This research discuss about the use of Japanese songs in learning Japanese vocabulary in the students of class X IPS 1 SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study is to know the mastery of Japanese vocabulary of students of class X IPS 1 SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru after using the Japanese language song in learning Japanese vocabulary. In this study, the writer used a weak experimental research design with marked by the absence of a class of comparison. The technique of collecting data by giving a test. Test results on pretest and posttest increase, on average prestest student score 70,8 whereas at posttest 91,2. The test results are processed using statistical t-test manually to find out how much the significant level of student learning outcomes when using Japanese songs. Based on statistical test data processing found t0 = 10,0 and tt = 2.63 (5% significant level), to tt then H0 rejected and Ha accepted, which means that there is a significant influence on the use of Japanese songs in improving the mastery of language vocabulary japanese students of class X IPS 1 SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru.Keywords: Learning Vocabulary, Japanese Language Song, SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru

Abstract

Abstract: This research’s goal is to know the meaning of kaomoji in social media especially facebook. This research object are members of facebook group which uses kaomoji in post or comments whose data a sentence use of kaomoji. This research used descriptive and qualitative approach to analyze object based on theories used. The research datas taken by read post or comments facebook groupst. Author use politeness strategies theory by Charles Sander Peierce. This research result show the meaning of kaomoji at social media has the function confirmation and subtitute the verbal element in sentence. This research could be the basis for further studies involving more subjects to ensure the generalizability of the results.Keywords: kaomoji, semantic, social media

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed at affecting social factor and situation factor toword the using of maji in Japanese conversation’s sentence. This research used qualitative approach and analyzed by William Labov’s social factor theory and Fishman’s situation factor theory. The subject in this research was the word maji used in Japanese conversation sentences from Japanese dramas called Koinaka and Summer Nude. Data collection’s method was “simak” method and used “simak bebas libat cakap” technic and taking note method. Data analyse’s method was “padan” method or “extralingual padan” method and used “hubung banding menyamakan” technic. The result shows that in social factor, the word maji often used by middle class people in every sector of works, and used by educated people or in process of education. The word maji used by people around adolescent to adult, when the listener around adolescent to elder. The word maji can be used by male or female. In situation factor, the word of maji often be used in informal conversation with various topics. Non-standard language variety often be used in conversation when using maji.Key Words: social factor, situation factor, wakamono kotoba, maji.

Abstract

Abstract: This study describes and explains the application of the Roleplay method in learning sonkeigo and kenjougo in Japanese language education students at FKIP Riau University. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the Roleplay method was effective in improving sonkeigo and kenjougo learning in Japanese language education students of FKIP Riau University after using the Roleplay method. In this study the authors used a quasi-experimental research design characterized by a comparison class. Data collection was carried out using test techniques. The test results were processed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnova test in SPSS Version 16. The test results in the pretest and posttest of the experimental class had increased, in the pretest the average value of students was 78.7 while in the posttest 93.1. Thus, the Roleplay method is effective in improving the learning outcomes of Japanese Language Education FKIP Riau University students in 2017.Key Words: Roleplay Method, Sonkeigo, Kenjougo

Abstract

Abstract : This study discusses the game sugoroku (snakes and ladders) in learning Japanese vocabulary to vocational students KANSAI Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study was to determine significant differences between the vocabulary of students who use the games sugoroku and who do not use sugoroku games, as well as how the vocabulary before and after implementation of sugoroku game.The object of research is a class XII student of SMK KANSAI Pekanbaru first semester, 2016/2017 academic year consisting of two classes, namely class XII and XII Tekhknik Accounting Information. This study is a quasi-experimental research.A quasi-experimental design used in this study is a pretest-posttest design, committed against two classes, namely class experimental and control classes.Results of the study found that the game sugoroku (snakes and ladders) can improve learning outcomes Japanese vocabulary compared with the results of student learning vocabulary with the conventional method (memorizing). It can be seen from the results of the evaluation and the difference between pretest and posstets experimental class (class treatment) are also increasing, with 82.75 to the average value in the experimental class and 60 in the control class.Keywords : Learning Vocabulary, Games Sugoroku, SMK Students KANSAI Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to explain the correlation between reading interest and Dokkai ability. This research activity conducted at Japanese Language Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau in the even semester in academic year 2020/2021. This research belonged to correlational research with a quantitative approach. The sample was the sixth-semester students of Japanese Language Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau with the total number of sample was 34 students. The sample selected by using the census method. The instrument was a reading interest questionnaire and a Dokkai ability test. IBM SPSS 25.0 used to process the data. The data analyzed by using Pearsons' correlation analysis technique and regression analysis technique. The result of data analysis concluded that there was a positive and significant correlation between reading interest and Dokkai ability of sixth-semester students of Japanese Language Education Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau with the percentage was 15 percent.Key Words: Reading Interest, Japanese Language, Dokkai Ability

Abstract

Abstract: This research explain about Japanese Education Major Riau University third years students kanji skill. The purpose of this research is to know what kind of kanji’s skill student find difficult to understand. There are 12 kinds of kanji skill that being tested to students,  the 12 kinds of skills are: Reading , word structure, shape (bushu), writing (simple words), writing (complicated words), choice from the context, usage (word kinds), usage (okurigana) reading from the context, reading  (simple words), reading (complicated words), ON reading.The result show that, between these 12 kanji skills that being tested only two skill got B grade those are shape skill with 70,8% and usage (okurigana) with 71,7%. Key Words: kanji skill, reading, writing,  shape

Abstract

Abstract: Media is always to using in learning process, although it’s used in different method. It’s like the writer that used learning aids flash card with cooperative learning method in kanji course. The purpose of this research is to describe how effective by using flash card media in kanji learning students level II of Japanese language education Study Program FKIP Riau University. This research was doing in Japanese language education Study Program FKIP Riau University year 2018/2019. This research using experimental design One Group Pre-test – Post-test design, the population is all students level II that take kanji course, and the sample is class B with 33 students. The sample was obtained by using purposive sampling technique, that’s mean the determination of samples have special consideration so that they are appropriate to be a sampled. The data was obtained by giving a test, that is pre-test at the beginning of research and also post-test at the ending of research, and then the result of the test have to processed using SPSS Version 24 IBM For Windows. The based on data analysis it was obtained that the value of the average pre-test is 69 and the value of the average post-test is increased 14 to be 83. That’s mean’s, there is a significant effect by using flash card in kanji learning.Key Words: Kanji, Flash Card, Effectiveness

Abstract

Abstrack: This study discusses the politeness scale imperative speech in drama Gokusen 1 episode 1-5. The purpose of this study was to knowing the politeness scale used in imperative speech and determine the factors that influence politeness. The object of research is figures in the drama Gokusen 1 episode 1-5. This study is qualitative descriptive by interpreting the object under study based on the theory of politeness by Leech (1983). Data obtained by listening to imperative speech which used figures and noted then group them into each type of imperative. From the result of research, indicates that the characters in the drama Gokusen using five types of politeness scale by Leech. Cost-benefit scale used in data “Hikkomeya! (go out!)”. Optionality scale used in data “eiga wo mi ni ikimasenka? (will go to the cinema?)”. Indirectness scale used in data “kiite! (listen!)”. Authority scale used in data “yamero! (stop it!)”, and social distance scale used in data “Ganbare! (fighting!)”. In this study are also often found students who used the speech is not polite to the teacher. It is uncommon in everyday life. In addition, there are some factors that influence the politeness of the each speech.Key Word: Politeness Scale, Imperative Speech
