Abstract

Abstract: This study examines the effectiveness of the management of the Merdeka Curriculum (Independent Curriculum) at SMKN 1 Sungai Tabuk through a qualitative case study approach. Data collection techniques included semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation analysis involving the school principal and two teachers at SMKN 1 Sungai Tabuk. The results indicate that the cycle of planning, development, monitoring, and evaluation operates responsively, based on the principles of link and match and human resource empowerment. Planning involves analyzing the needs of students, local potential, and the Business and Industrial World (DUDI) for curriculum relevance. Development engages teachers actively through internal training, external upskilling, and industrial collaboration, enhancing a sense of ownership and improving pedagogical-technical competence. Continuous monitoring employs tiered frequency with participatory supervision, building a reflective culture supported by visionary leadership. Comprehensive evaluation integrates theoretical exams, practical assessments, industrial projects, and feedback from the business sector for accountability and continuous improvement. These findings represent a best practice in overcoming limitations such as inadequate facilities, varying teacher comprehension, and resource imbalances through flexible innovations, including rotational fieldwork (PKL) schedules, elective subjects, and structured character building. This approach successfully produces vocational graduates who are competent, creative, disciplined, and job-ready.. Keywords: Merdeka Curriculum, Curriculum Management, Link And Match, Best Practice Abstrak: Penelitian ini mengkaji efektivitas manajemen Kurikulum Merdeka di SMKN 1 Sungai Tabuk melalui pendekatan kajian kasus kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi, dan analisis dokumentasi pada kepala sekolah dan dua guru di SMKN 1 Sungai Tabuk. Hasil menunjukkan siklus perencanaan, pengembangan, monitoring, dan evaluasi berjalan responsif berbasis prinsip link and match serta pemberdayaan sumber daya manusia. Perencanaan menganalisis kebutuhan peserta didik, potensi lokal, dan Dunia Usaha dan Dunia Industri (DUDI) untuk relevansi kurikulum. Pengembangan melibatkan guru aktif melalui pelatihan internal, upskilling eksternal, dan kolaborasi industri, meningkatkan rasa kepemilikan serta kompetensi pedagogik-teknis. Monitoring berkelanjutan berfrekuensi berjenjang dengan supervisi partisipatif membangun budaya reflektif didukung kepemimpinan visioner. Evaluasi komprehensif mengintegrasikan ujian teori, praktik, proyek industri, dan umpan balik dunia usaha untuk akuntabilitas serta perbaikan berkelanjutan. Temuan ini bersifat best practice mengatasi keterbatasan sarana, pemahaman guru, dan ketidakseimbangan sumber daya melalui inovasi fleksibel seperti jadwal PKL rotasional, mata pelajaran pilihan, dan pembinaan karakter terstruktur, menghasilkan lulusan vokasi kompeten, kreatif, disiplin, dan siap kerja Kata kunci: Kurikulum Merdeka, manajemen kurikulum, link and match, best practice

Abstract

This research investigates the mediating role of work discipline in the relationship among teacher competence, work motivation, and teacher performance at state junior high schools in Pulau Laut Utara District, Kotabaru Regency. A quantitative research design employing SEM-PLS analysis was adopted, with data gathered from 102 teachers drawn via proportional random sampling from a total population of 134. Findings reveal that teacher competence exerts a positive and significant impact on both work discipline and teacher performance, whereas work discipline substantially enhances performance and serves as a mediator for the effect of competence. Work motivation similarly produces a positive influence on discipline; however, its direct contribution to performance is negative, though it still yields a positive outcome on performance when channeled through discipline. The structural model demonstrates remarkably high explanatory capacity, with R² values reaching 0.913 for work discipline and 0.927 for teacher performance. These outcomes underscore that elevating teacher performance demands not merely the reinforcement of professional competence, but equally the cultivation of disciplined workplace conduct and the strategic management of motivation via supportive oversight mechanisms. This study yields actionable recommendations for educational administrators and policymakers in regional settings committed to sustainable advancement of educational quality.

Abstract

Kepercayaan masyarakat merupakan faktor penting dalam mendukung keberhasilan penyelenggaraan pendidikan, khususnya pada tingkat sekolah dasar. Sekolah yang memiliki tingkat kepercayaan tinggi dari masyarakat cenderung memperoleh dukungan yang lebih besar dalam bentuk partisipasi, kerja sama, dan keterlibatan masyarakat. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi yang dapat dilakukan sekolah dasar dalam membangun kepercayaan masyarakat melalui kajian pustaka. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur melalui pengumpulan berbagai sumber ilmiah berupa jurnal, buku dan publikasi akademik yang relevan dengan topik hubungan sekolah dan masyarakat. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknis analisis deskriptif kualitatif dengan cara mengidentifikasi, mengelompokkan, dan membandingkan berbagai temuan penelitian. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kepercyaan masyarakat dapar dibangun melalui peningkatan kualitas pendidikan, profesionalitas guru, komunikasi yang efektif, keterlibatan masyarakat dalam kegiatan sekolah, pengelolaan humas yang baik, serta transparasi dan akuntabilitas dalam pengelolaan sekolah. Strategi tersebut dapat memperkuat hubungan antara sekolah dan masyarakat sehingga mendukung peningkatan mutu pendidikan di sekolah dasar.
