Abstract

Background: One of the complications caused by diabetes mellitus is the problem of diabetic foot ulcers (DFU). The management of the DFU problem can be carried out through the wound care focused on the foot using modern dressings. This research was to determine the effectiveness of modern dressings on the healing process of diabetic foot ulcers. Methods: The methods used in arranging this systematic review were (1) the identification of interventions in the literature, (2) the identification of relevant literature based on the topic and title, (3) obtaining the literature in full-text form and (4) the analysis of the results from the various interventions in the literature.Result: The literature search was carried out in several databases such as Scopus, Google Scholar and Pubmed. The samples in this article were research about the effect of modern dressings in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers. A total of 22 evidence bases found 10 studies using the pre-experimental method, 3 RCTs, 2 quasi-experiments, 2 articles / systematic reviews, 2 perspective studies, 1 medical report, 1 case study and 1 vitro and vivo study. Conclusion: Based on the review, it explains that the research on modern dressings using nanocrystalline silver ion and curcumin can improves wound recovery by increasing the transformation rate of the ß1 growth factor, which is a protein involved in cell growth and proliferation.

Abstract

Introduction: Cancer diagnosis can have a profound negative impact on the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) of cancer patients. Cancer patients also suffer from psychological pressures including sadness, depression, hopelessness, anxiety and worry. The literature review was employed to determine the effects of depression on health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in cancer patients. Methods: A systematic review was conducted by searching the Science Direct, Scopus and Google Scholar databases. The integrative review of the 10 articles was focused on the 10 years period from 2008 to 2018. The language used was English and the search was conducted using predefined keywords. Results: All of the journals discussed the impact of depression treatment on health-related quality of life in cancer patients. Based on all of the journals, depression can be reduced by health education, physical activity and medicine therapyConclusion: Despite the treatment for depression, the patient’s HRQoL did not improve during the measurement timeframe. Quality of life is a priority health outcome in cancer treatment but the clinical approaches to ameliorate depression in cancer patients appear to be suboptimal.

Abstract

Introduction: Lung cancer is the leading cause of death after breast cancer and cervical cancer. Cigarettes are the main cause of lung cancer, besides air pollution, family history and previous cancer history also affect. Method: This research is a quantitative study with a descriptive design of correlation with a cross sectional study method. The sample used was 120 respondents taken by purposive sampling technique. Results: The p-value in the Pearson Chi-Square test results is 0.000 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the type of smoker in students and knowledge of lung cancer. Conclusion: A good knowledge of the dangers of cigarettes for students can help to prevent lung cancer. Not only can active smoking be harmful to a student's health, but passive smoking can also be the cause of such lung cancer. Increasing knowledge by providing education is very necessary for students to be able to improve their health degree by not smoking and avoiding direct exposure to cigarette smoke

Abstract

Introduction: Disaster preparedness involves preparing a counter-disaster plan, warning of the disaster, and maintaining resources needed during and after a disaster. The media that can be used by using animated videos can increase knowledge and skills more easily and interestingly for elementary school students. Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the effect of earthquake simulation animation videos on the knowledge and skills of earthquake disaster preparedness in the 5th-grade Elementary School Klatak Banyuwangi. Methods: This study used a pre-experimental research plan with a one-group pre-test post-test research design of 56 respondents with a total sampling technique. Then, statistical analysis was done using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test from SPSS 16. Results: Before being given an animated video, they had a knowledge level of scores, most of them as much as 41% in the category of unprepared, mostly 62.5% competent enough for skills. After being given an animated video, knowledge increased to 64.3% with ready criteria, and skills increased to 82.1% with very competent criteria. With a significance value of p=0.000<0.05, there was a significant Effect of Earthquake Simulation Animation Videos on the Knowledge and Skills of Earthquake Disaster Preparedness in 5th grade elementary School Klatak Banyuwangi 2023. Conclusions: Applying knowledge and skills in earthquake disaster preparedness can be done early, starting from elementary school, one of which is by using animated video media, which is expected to be more easily understood, interesting, and can be applied in everyday life.

Abstract

Background: One of the factors that can affect treatment adherence in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus is glycemic results, if glycemic control is poor then the implementation of treatment compliance can be a motivation for glycemic control. Purpose: This study aims to determine the relationship between treatment adherence and its impact on glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the Klatak Health Center working area in 2024. Methods: This study used a cross sectional design with purposive sampling and a sample size of 35 respondents. Data collection using the MTAQDM questionnaire (modified treatment adherence questionnaire in DM patients) and observation sheets and then analyzed using the spearmen rank test. Results: All patients (100%) were in the adherence category following treatment adherence activities and almost all patients (97%) were in the diabetic category. Based on the results of the analysis obtained a P-value of 0.628 (p>0.05) which means that there is no relationship between treatment adherence and the impact of glycemic control, with a correlation of 0.085 which shows a correlation with very weak strength. Conclusion: Respondents who adhere to treatment adherence do not affect their glycemic control and adhere to treatment but HbA1c is not controlled, because many factors can affect it.
