Abstract

Final assignments are part of the strategy to train students' skills, but they often cause feelings of stress and lead to students choosing to postpone them. This research aims to determine how the influence of Adversity Quotient (AQ) and Family Social Support (FSS) on academic procrastination attitudes in completing a bachelor theses is moderated by Self-regulated Learning (SRL). The study was conducted in two state universities in Indonesia on students who had not completed their theses. Data collection was made through a survey, with online questionnaires based on Likert Scales using Google Forms. The instruments used were the Adversity Quotient (AQ) Scale, the Family Social Support (FS) Scale, the Self-regulated Learning (SRL) Scale, and the Academic Procrastination in Completing Bachelor Theses (APCBT) Scale. Data analysis was conducted using moderated regression analysis. The research results show an influence of the adversity quotient ( t = -2.165, p < .031) and family social support (t = 5.512, p < .000) on academic procrastination in completing theses. Self-regulated learning is demonstrated to moderate the relationship between adversity quotient and academic procrastination in completing theses (t = -2.126, p < .035), while self-regulated learning moderates the relationship between family social support and academic procrastination in completing theses (t = -4.831, p < .000). The empirical implication of this study is that during the theses preparation process, final-year students may face psychological challenges, so it is not uncommon for them to postpone work by introducing self-regulated learning roles, difficulty intelligence, and family social support can help students in suppressing the problem of academic procrastination in theses completion.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effects of Creativity, Entrepreneurial Attitude (EA), Perceived Behavioral Control (PBC), and Subjective Norms (SN) on Entrepreneurial Intention (EI), moderation of creativity in the influence of EA, PBC, and SN on Entrepreneurial Intention (EI), and the effect of Entrepreneurial Self-Efficacy (ESE) on PBC in active students at Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. This research is quantitative. The sample in this research consisted of 381 active students at Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta, who were currently taking or had previously taken entrepreneurship courses. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire distributed via Google Forms. Primary data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results show that Creativity, EA, PBC, and SN positively and significantly affect EI. Creativity can strengthen the effect of PBC on EI. However, not on EA and SN, and ESE has a positive and significant effect on PBC in students at Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. Entrepreneurship education implemented in higher education should focus on developing the three components of the Theory of Planned Behavior and student creativity.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/E3J/v7.i2.251-259

Abstract

Modern education increasingly recognizes student leadership as an important channel for developing a sense of responsibility, resilience, and cooperation. Yet, despite its increasing significance, there is a lack of an overall analysis of research on student leadership. This study presents a bibliometric review of research published from 2003 through 2024 on main trends, publication patterns, and emergent themes. Using the PRISMA framework, relevant articles were retrieved from Scopus, targeting English research articles and reviews. Of the 548 identified documents, 348 were analyzed. The results highlight the growing significance of student leadership, especially in healthcare, social sciences, and engineering, with U.S.-based research dominating the field, indicating global research imbalances. Based on the co-occurrence analysis, the common themes identified are Leadership within healthcare education, Curriculum development, Gender dynamics, and the student-centered approach. These themes reflect the key areas of focus in current research on student leadership. These findings assist educators, policymakers, and researchers in guiding the enhancement of development in student leadership. Keywords: bibliometrics, education, leadership character, student.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of gender in moderating the influence between financial knowledge, parental financial socialization, and FoMO on the financial behavior of Gen Z students in Indonesia. This research method uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive design that focuses on the statistical analysis of numerical data. The population of this study was students from the 2020 and 2021 intakes who were registered in the economics study program of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Sebelas Maret University. The sampling technique employed combines probability sampling and proportionate random sampling. A total of 224 students participated in data collection, which involved distributing a Google Forms link and the questionnaire via messaging applications (such as WhatsApp) and social network chat features. IBM SPSS 26 software was used to analyze the data using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The study's findings indicate financial behavior is influenced by financial knowledge, parental financial socialization, and FoMO (p<0.05). Additionally, while financial knowledge and FoMO are not moderated by gender (p>0.05), parental financial socialization's effect on financial behavior is moderated by gender (p<0.05). The implications of this study highlight the importance of integrating financial literacy into university education, using a more practical and technology-based approach. Lecturers are encouraged to design learning that not only focuses on theory but also involves financial simulations and technology to help students better understand financial concepts interactively. In addition, universities should offer training programs or financial literacy workshops to equip students with better financial skills.
