Abstract

The process of scientific argumentation skills in biology learning at SMAN 1 Kediri is nonoptimal yet. This study aimed at improving students’ scientific argumentation using ASICC-based electronic modules. This Research and Development employed Plomp development model. The subjects of this study were X graders of MIPA SMAN 1 Kediri which consisted of 32 students. There were three stages of the Plomp model conducted i.e., preliminary research, prototyping, and assessment. The expert validation score gained for subject matter and linguistic was 85% (valid category), the validation score for design and media professionals' validation is 81% with a valid category, the teacher validation score is 93% with a very valid category, and the small group test score is 88% with a very valid category. Implementation of the ASICC-based electronic module had results such as 25 of 32 students got the N-Gain score in the high category, 5 students in the medium category, and 2 students in the low category. The ASICC-based electronic module on protist material is valid and effective to improve the scientific argumentation skills of class X MIPA students in SMAN 1 Kediri.

Abstract

This study aims to develop mathematics and science modules that is intended for prospective elementary school teacher or PGSD Study Program students, to determine the validity of the STEM teaching modules that have been developed, and to find out the practicality of the STEM modules that have been developed. The method was a research and development model using the 4D development model, including the following Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The tryout was carried out on PGSD UNP Kediri students. The data analysis techniques were qualitative and quantitative, embraced with expert and user validation instruments. The results of this study indicate that the STEM teaching modules developed is stated to be very valid or very good and can be used with a score of 3.62 based on the result of validating the math and science modules. To find out the practicality of the teaching modules, validation was carried out on users and tryout. The result shows that the teaching modules developed can be used with a score of 3.50.

Abstract

Kemampuan  berpikir  efektif,  teliti,  dan  logis. Guru sebagai fasilitator memiliki kemampuan dalam memilih kritis   melatih  siswa  untuk  membuat keputusan  dari  berbagai  sudut  pandang  secara  cermat model yang  untuk  meningkatkan  kemampuan  berpikirnya. Inovasi  peragaan siswa sangat menarik untuk dipelajari, kemudian diikuti model pembelajaran  Jigsaw sehingga akan tercipta suasana  belajar  aktif,  mempermudah  penguasaan  materi, lebih kreatif  dalam  proses  pembelajaran  yang  lebih optimal. Metode di gunakan pendekatan kualitatif karena penelitian ini menghasilkan data berupa kata-kata/kuisioner dan  dianalisis dengan prosentase, peneliti  ingin mengamati, meninjau, dan memaparkan hasil wawancara dan kuisioner siswa SMAN kelas XI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan siswa sangat tertarik dengan model Jigsaw didukung  peraga yang mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis . Di sisi lain, siswa lebih aktif dan antusias selama proses belajar pembelajaran.

Abstract

Minyak atsiri atau dikenal sebagai minyak eteris (aetheric oil) merupakan hasil dari metabolisme sekunder suatu tanaman. Minyak atsiri pada umumnya mengandung beberapa komponen senyawa seperti Citronelal, Citronelol, Limonen, β-Pinene dan sabinene (Muhtadin et al, 2013). Salah satu sumber minyak atsiri dihasilkan oleh tanaman genus Citrus. Indonesia memiliki banyak varietas tanaman jeruk yang tergolong Citrus sp., diantaranya adalah jeruk nipis Citrus  aurantifolia dan jeruk lemon Citrus limon (Ginting, 2012). Minyak atsiri yang berasal dari tanaman jeruk nipis banyak dimanfaatkan oleh industri kimia parfum, selain itu juga digunakan sebagai penambah aroma jeruk pada minuman dan makanan, serta dibidang kesehatan digunakan sebagai anti oksidan dan anti kanker (Razak et al, 2013).  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kadar dan komponen minyak atsiri dari daun jeruk nipis C. aurantifolia dan jeruk lemon C. Limon dengan menggunakan metode steam distillation, selain itu uji kromatografi gas GC-MS dilakukan untuk melihat komponen dari minyak atsiri yang dihasilkan dari dua tanaman tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kualitas produksi dalam rangka pengoptimalan hasil produksi minyak atsiri dalam negeri.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan tanaman paku air Azolla pinnata yang memiliki kandungan unsur hara nitrogen cukup tinggi dapat diaplikasikan pada media tanam sebagai upaya meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman kacang tanah (Arachis hypogaea (L.) Merr.). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis dan waktu aplikasi A. pinnata terhadap pertumbuhan kacang tanah serta untuk mengetahui dosis dan waktu aplikasi yang paling efektif. Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimen menggunakan desain Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial dengan 2 faktor perlakuan. Faktor 1, dosis A. pinnata (terdiri dari 4 level: D0 = 0% mmt, D1 = 1% mmt, D2 = 1,5% mmt, D3 = 2% mmt). Faktor 2, waktu aplikasi (terdiri dari 4 level: W1 = 14 hbt, W2 = 7 hbt, W3 = 0 hwt, W4 = 7 hst). Penelitian diulang sebanyak 3 kali di Desa Jabon Utara, Kecamatan Banyakan, Kabupaten Kediri selama 4 bulan. Parameter pengamatan berupa tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan umur berbunga. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis of variance (ANOVA) menggunakan program STATS 6.2. yang dilanjut dengan uji BNT taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan interaksi antara perlakuan dosis dan waktu aplikasi A. pinnata berpengaruh terhadap jumlah daun dan umur berbunga, sedangkan untuk tinggi tanaman dipengaruhi oleh masing-masing perlakuan dosis dan waktu aplikasi. Pemberian A. pinnata dengan konsentrasi 1,5% mmt pada 14 hbt, dan konsentrasi 2% mmt pada 7 hbt menghasilkan jumlah daun paling banyak. Umur berbunga paling cepat dengan pemberian konsentrasi 1,5% mmt pada 14 hbt. Tinggi tanaman paling tinggi dengan pemberian konsentrasi 1,5% dan 1% mmt, sedangkan pengaplikasiannya pada 14 hbt dan 0 hwt.

Abstract

Kupu-kupu merupakan serangga yang bergantung terhadap daya dukung habitatnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman, kemerataan dan kemelimpahan kupu-kupu di Kediri Memorial Park beserta faktor lingkungan yang mempengaruhinya. Metode sampling yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah VES (Visual Eccounting Survey). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan 6 spesies kupu-kupu. Indeks keanekaragaman sebesar 1,68401 dan indeks kemerataan menunjukkan nilai 0,40646. Derajad kemelimpahan spesies masuk dalam kategori langka, dengan rata-rata perjumpaan kurang dari 5 perjumpaan per hari.

Abstract

In Indonesia, 21st century education has 4 skills, namely creative thinking, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills. 21st Century skills are applied through the K-13 curriculum which requires students to be active in learning. It is expected that students will be able to have 21st century skills including communication and argumentation skills. Communication skills are important for students to help convey, listen and understand the meaning of knowledge, values, attitudes and attention. Argumentation skills are important for students to help them argue rationally, so that other people can accept these opinions. Instruments of communication and argumentation skills of students are made as a tool to measure student skills, and instrument of validation makes it easier to collect data with the results more complete, good, systematic and easy to process. The research instrument used was an instrument of communication skills and student argumentation. This study aims to determine the validation criteria of communication skills and argumentation instruments for biology students of XI MIPA high school students. The method used is descriptive method. Based on the data obtained from the research results showed that the level of validation based on the experts of communication skills and argumentation of biology students in class XI MIPA high school including the criteria of Good (B) with a value of 25, whereas according to practitioners the communication skills and argumentation instruments of class XI MIPA high school students including the criteria of Very Good (SB) with a value of 26.

Abstract

Problem-solving is the basis for identifying problems, making choices, and considering options based on the obtained information. The research objective is to create a problem-solving-based skills assessment instrument based on Greenstein on ecosystem materials. This research uses the Plomp model R&D (Research and Development) development method. The tool uses an expert validation sheet. The study is limited to testing the feasibility of the instrument. Data analysis with percentage technique. The results showed that the assessment instrument for problem-solving skills was feasible with the results of the validation of practitioner experts 86.2% "Very Valid", 93% assessment experts "Very Valid", material experts 85.8% "Very Valid", and linguistic experts 83.2% "Sufficiently Valid". The validity test results on items with a decent category obtained 17 'Valid' questions. The reliability test results got the results of 0.752 "high reliability".

Abstract

Learning media is really needed in the learning process, especially for elementary school students, because media will make it easier to understand concepts, especially mathematics subjects. This research aims to determine the validation criteria and practicality of developing fraction board learning media for grade 2 elementary school students in Semen District. The research method used is descriptive research method. The data analysis technique used is quantitative qualitative. Based on the results of the data obtained, according to media experts, it shows that the level of validation for the development of fraction board learning media for grade 2 elementary school students in Semen District is included in the very valid criteria with information that is very good for use with a percentage of 87.27%, while according to material experts it shows that the level of validation for the development of fraction board learning materials for grade 2 elementary school students in Semen District is included in the very valid criteria with information that is very good for use with a percentage of 100%. Meanwhile, the teacher response questionnaire got a score of 87%, while the student response questionnaire got a score of 92.85%, which shows that the fraction board learning media is very practical and can be used without revision.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of interactive Learning Media Based on APK Builder material on active and passive means of motion in humans learning Science Class V SDN Manggis 2 Puncu. from the results of the pretest that has been given that there are 86% of students who score below KKM and 13% of students who score above KKM. The trial conducted in this study was a limited scale trial of 6 students and a broad trial of 17 fifth grade students of SDN Manggis 2 Puncu. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interview, needs analysis questionnaire, material expert validation questionnaire, media expert validation questionnaire, teacher response questionnaire, student response questionnaire, and evaluation questions. The results of the study are as follows. (1) Media validity in the form of interactive media based on APK Builder obtained 91% media expert validation results and 88% material expert validation results. The average result obtained from the two validations is 88% and can be categorized as very valid and can be used. (2) The practicality of media in the form of interactive media based on APK Builder obtained results from teacher responses with a percentage of 97% and student responses with a percentage of 97%. The average result obtained from the two responses is 97% with a very practical category and can be used. (3) The effectiveness of the media in the form of interactive media based on APK Builder on a limited trial through a post test obtained an average of 92 with a very effective category to use. The conclusion from the results of this APK Builder-based interactive media research on active and passive human movement is declared valid, practical, effective and usable. ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kevalidasian, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan Media Pembelajaran interaktif Berbasis APK Builder materi alat gerak aktif dan pasif pada manusia pembelajaran IPA Kelas V SDN Manggis 2 Puncu. dari hasil pretest yang telah diberikan bahwa terdapat 86% siswa yang mendapat nilai di bawah KKM dan 13% siswa yang mendapat nilai di atas KKM. Uji coba yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji coba skala terbatas tehadap 6 siswa dan uji coba secara luas terhadap 17 siswa kelas V SDN Manggis 2 Puncu. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, angket analisis kebutuhan, angket validasi ahli materi, angket validasi ahli media, angket respon guru, angket respon siswa, dan soal evaluasi. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut. (1) Kevalidan media berupa media interaktif berbasis APK Builder memperoleh hasil validasi ahli media 91% dan hasil validasi ahli materi 88%. Hasil rata- rata yang diperoleh dari kedua validasi tersebut adalah 88% dan dapat dikategorikan sangat valid dan dapat digunakan. (2) Kepraktisan media berupa media interaktif berbasis APK Builder memperoleh hasil dari respon guru dengen presentase 97% dan respon siswa dengan presentase 97%. Hasil rata-rata yang diperoleh dari kedua respon tersebut adalah 97% dengan kategori sangat praktis dan dapat digunakan. (3) Keefektifan media berupa media berupa media interaktif berbasis APK Builder pada uji coba terbatas melalui post test diperoleh rata-rata 92 dengan kategori sangat efektif untuk digunakan. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian media interaktif berbasis APK Builder materi alat gerak aktif dan pasif pada manusia ini dinyatakan valid, praktis, efektif dan dapat digunakan.
