Abstract

Pendidikan sepanjang hayat menekankan bahwa proses belajar berlangsung sepanjang kehidupan manusia. Anak-anak di panti asuhan umumnya memiliki latar belakang kehidupan yang sulit yang dapat memengaruhi perkembangan psikologis dan pendidikan mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pengurus panti dalam membimbing anak yang mengalami trauma masa lalu, mengidentifikasi bentuk pendidikan keterampilan yang diberikan, serta menjelaskan kontribusinya terhadap pendidikan sepanjang hayat. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan pengurus dan anak-anak panti asuhan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengurus panti berperan penting dalam memberikan bimbingan, motivasi, dan dukungan emosional. Pendidikan keterampilan yang diberikan mampu meningkatkan kemandirian dan kepercayaan diri anak, serta menjadi sarana pembelajaran berkelanjutan yang mendukung penerapan pendidikan sepanjang hayat. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah bahwa peran pengurus dan pendidikan keterampilan memiliki kontribusi nyata dalam membentuk kesiapan anak menghadapi kehidupan secara mandiri dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study is driven by the need for selective and efficient adsorbent materials to address heavy metal ion contamination, particularly Fe³⁺, in aquatic environments. The aim of this research is to synthesize C-vanillin calix[4]resorcinarene and evaluate its potential as an adsorbent for Fe³⁺ ions, with a specific focus on optimizing pH as a key parameter in the adsorption process. The compound was synthesized via a reflux method, yielding a solid product weighing 3.9726 grams. Structural characterization was performed using Thin-Layer Chromatography (TLC), FTIR spectroscopy, and melting point analysis. TLC results showed a single spot for each compound, indicating high purity. The FTIR spectrum confirmed the presence of characteristic functional groups, with absorption bands at 3355 cm⁻¹ (O–H), 1605 cm⁻¹ (aromatic C=C), 1426 cm⁻¹ (C–H), and 1211 cm⁻¹ (C–O). The high melting point range of 383–384 °C suggests thermal stability and the formation of a new structure. Adsorption tests for Fe³⁺ ions were conducted across a pH range of 1–6, revealing increased adsorption efficiency with rising pH and a maximum value of 1.9015 mg/g at pH 5. A decline in efficiency was observed at pH 6. The study concludes that C-vanillin calix[4]resorcinarene demonstrates promising selectivity and efficiency as an Fe³⁺ ion adsorbent under specific pH conditions and possesses physicochemical properties conducive to practical applications in water purification.

Abstract

Anyaman Lapik Terawang is a cultural heritage of the Koto Dian Village community that has social, economic, and local identity values. This study aims to describe and analyze the role of the Pandan Baiduri Artisan Group in preserving Anyaman Lapik Terawang during the 2004–2024 period. This study used a qualitative approach with the historical method. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observation, documentation studies, group archives, Intangible Cultural Heritage designation documents, and material evidence in the form of Anyaman Lapik Terawang products. Semi-structured interviews were conducted using open-ended question guidelines that allowed informants to explain their experiences, knowledge, and perspectives in depth. The data were analyzed through the stages of the historical method, including heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The results showed that the Pandan Baiduri Artisan Group played an important role in organizing production, preserving traditional techniques and motifs, transmitting skills through direct practice, developing product variations, expanding marketing, and strengthening cultural recognition through the designation of Intangible Cultural Heritage and Communal Intellectual Property. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the sustainability of Anyaman Lapik Terawang depends heavily on the active role of artisan groups, skill regeneration, availability of raw materials, and institutional support. The implications of this study indicate the importance of strengthening artisan groups as key actors in preserving local culture and developing community-based traditional crafts.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the attitudes of eighth-grade students at MTs Al-Fakhriyah Baturaja toward the usage of Duolingo as a gamified learning tool to help them acquire their vocabulary. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach. Purposive sample of the eighth-grade population at MTs Al-Fakhriyah Baturaja yielded 21 students from class VIII-B. Data were gathered by a closed-ended questionnaire and open-ended interviews. The questionnaire data were analyzed using a percentage-based approach, whereas the interview data were investigated using Miles and Huberman's (2014) interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drafting. The data revealed that students had a positive view of Duolingo's ability to help them acquire vocabulary. They found the application to be engaging, interactive, and successful in aiding their comprehension, retention, and application of new language. Furthermore, Duolingo's gamification features, such as points, levels, and prizes, were thought to improve students' motivation, engagement, and confidence in learning English. These findings suggest that gamified tools, such as Duolingo, can promote a more student-centered and motivating vocabulary learning experience.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of local wisdom values in the learning process and to explore its impact on student character development. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing in-depth interviews and classroom observations for data collection. The findings revealed that local cultural values have been incorporated into various subjects such as Science and Social Studies (IPAS), Indonesian Language, and Civic Education (PP). These values include the introduction of regional traditions, the cultivation of tolerance, and the use of local food (carica) in procedural text lessons. Although local wisdom has been integrated conceptually, its practical application remains limited due to insufficient lesson planning and the dominant influence of religious values in the surrounding community. Nonetheless, the integration of local wisdom plays a significant role in enhancing students’ understanding of their cultural heritage and in supporting character education.
