Abstract

MFA is an emotional bond that develops between mother and fetus. Maternal-fetal attachment is based on cognitive representations such as thoughts, feelings, and behaviors representing a pregnant mother's affection for her fetus. Husband's support and anxiety are factors that influence the quality of MFA and birth outcomes. Objective: to analyze husband's support, anxiety level and MFA level. Method: Scoping review using the PRISMA Scr framework. Using the PICO Framework, the search strategy was searched using keywords in the Scopus, Ebsco, Pubmed, ScienceDirect and Proquest databases. Critical Assessment is done with JBI. Results: 14 articles were obtained that were screened using the PRISMA ScR framework, 50% came from developing countries and 50% from developed countries. Articles with cross-sectional research methods, cohort and longitudinal studies each 28.6% and case control studies 14.2%. JBI results from 14 articles resulted in a score of more than 50% so it was accepted. Conclusion: MFA is influenced by husband's support and anxiety which impacts birth outcomes and infant development. Efforts are needed to increase MFA through MFA training for pregnant women and constructive anxiety management.

Abstract

The hemodialysis process is essential for patients with chronic kidney disease to maintain their lives. However, this routine and continuous process can cause complications in the body. Patients undergoing hemodialysis experience changes in functional status across physical, psychological, social, and environmental health domains. This study was carried out to determine the effect ESA (Exercise and Self-Affirmation) intervention on the functional status of patients with chronic kidney disease. Previous studies show that physical exercise combined with self-affirmation interventions can improve mood and cognitive function. Self-affirmation has been shown to reduce depression levels, improve sleep quality, enhance social participation, and ultimately improve the quality of life. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group, involving thirty- nine patients in the control group and thirty-nine patients in the intervention group at the hemodialysis unit of PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Functional status was assessed using the SF- 36 questionnaire and analyzed using paired t-tests for paired groups and independent t-tests for unpaired groups. The average SF-36 score before the ESA intervention was 44.53, and the average score after the intervention was 69.37. The t-test results showed a significance value of 0.000 (p<0.05). These results show a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results in the intervention group after the ESA intervention. In conclusion, the ESA intervention can improve the functional status of hemodialysis patients, so that their physical and mental function is better. The ESA intervention positively affects the functional status of patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis.

Abstract

The puerperium or postpartum period is defined as the period that begins after the expulsion of the placenta after the birth of the baby and ends when the reproductive organs return to their pre-pregnancy state and lasts for 40 days. During the postpartum period, there are various kinds of care that mothers get, one of which is culture-based care which can affect the care process. The purpose of this Literature Review is to obtain a theoretical basis that can support solving the problem being studied. The preparation of this article was carried out using the Literature Review method by conducting a search based on the keywords "postpartum mother care culture" in national journals and "postpartum mother care culture" in international journals using a database taken from Science Direct, Pubmed and Google Scholar published in 2016-2021 with both qualitative and quantitative research designs. The search was carried out on international and national journal sites using the literature study method. The results show that Indonesian women in various regions have different cultural traditions in each region. The tradition is in the form of a culture of care that is carried out by postpartum mothers or postpartum mothers. These cultures include the Posoropu culture from Aceh, Marapi from North Sumatra, the Karo treatment culture, Sundanese and traditional ceremonies performed during the maternal period in Pati district, Central Java.
