Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the differentiated learning approach assisted by Lumio media on critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes in class VII ecosystem materials at SMP Negeri 26 Samarinda. This study uses a Quasi-Experimental method with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling. The research instruments were in the form of a test of critical thinking skills and learning outcomes which were analyzed using the T-Test test with a significant level of 0.05, and N-Gain to analyze the results. The results showed that the N-Gain of critical thinking skills in the experimental group was 0.62 (medium category), and in the control group was 0.50 (medium category). On the other hand, the N-Gain for learning outcomes in the experimental group was 0.63 (moderate category), while in the control group it was 0.51 (moderate category). The results of the hypothesis test analysis, critical thinking skills, and learning outcomes each had a significant value of 0.00<0.05, so that there was a significant influence of the Lumio-assisted differentiated learning approach on critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. Thus, this approach is effectively used to improve the quality of learning in the ecosystem material of junior high school grade VII SMP Negeri 26 Samarinda.

Abstract

Technological progress requires innovation in all components of education, one of which is by integrating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into learning through practicum-based breathing system e-modules. This study aims to analyze the influence of practicum-based respiratory system e-modules on the learning outcomes of grade XI students of SMA Negeri 13 Samarinda in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains in supporting the achievement of SDGs 3. The research method used a quasi experiment type of non-equivalent control group with two subjects (30 students each), one class as an experiment and one class as a control. Instruments include cognitive tests (pretest–posttest) as well as affective and psychomotor observations. Cognitive data analysis used an independent t-test, while affective and psychomotor were analyzed descriptively and converted to qualitative categories. The results showed significant differences in cognitive learning outcomes (sig. 0.000 < 0.05). The affective learning outcomes of both classes were in the good category, with the experimental class showing a higher score of 78.89, while the control class was 74.11. The psychomotor learning outcomes of the experimental class were in the skilled category with an average of 75.09, while the control class was quite skilled with an average of 69.17. Therefore, it is concluded that practicum-based e-modules are effective in improving learning outcomes while fostering health and environmental awareness in accordance with SDGs 3.

Abstract

Oil palm empty fruit bunches (OPEFB) are underutilized waste. The combination of OPEFB fermentation and eggshell powder as a planting medium, aims to determine the effect of the combination of treatment differences in OPEFB fermentation time and composition of growing media on the growth of amaranth (Amaranthus tricolor). This study consisted of 6 treatment combinations, 4 replications, completely randomized factorial design method, with the parameters of plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), and total fresh weight (grams). Data were collected at the age of 7, 14 and 21 DAP. Analysis of variance and the smallest significant difference test (BNT) level 5% were used. The results of the analysis showed that the composition of the growing media had a significant effect (Fcount > Ftable), From the results of the study, it was found that the most optimal treatment for the composition of the growing media was W2K3 treatment with a composition of 3 kg of soil, 20 grams of eggshell powder, and 200 grams of OPEFB fermentation for 21 days. The interaction factor of these two factors had a significant effect (Fcount > Ftable) on plant height 21 DAP (4.697 > 3.55).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the microplastic content in several types of shellfish in Tanjung Batu waters, Berau Regency. The type of research used is qualitative research, with descriptive analysis methods. The samples used in this study were blood clams (Anadara granosa) and cockles (Polymesoda erosa) taken from the sea waters of Tanjung Batu, Berau Regency, East Kalimantan. Observations were made at the Biology Education Laboratory, Teaching and Education Faculty, Mulawarman University. The results showed that blood clams (Anadara granosa) and cockles (Polymesoda erosa) contained microplastics. The types of microplastics found included fibers, fragments, and films. The type of microplastic that is found the most is fiber and the least is film.

Abstract

Bullying remains one of the recurring issues in school environments and requires attention in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. This study aims to analyze the influence of family background on bullying behavior among high school students in Samarinda. A descriptive mixed-method approach was employed, with data collected through observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The research was conducted from January to May 2024 in four schools: SMAN 16, SMA Budi Luhur, SMAN 3, and SMK Negeri 14 Samarinda. The findings show that most students come from intact families, with percentages ranging from 70.4% to 93.7%. Nevertheless, bullying behaviors were still identified, including pushing peers (3.7%–32.9%), mocking with derogatory nicknames (14.8%–34.2%), and engaging in physical violence (2.8%–10.5%). These results indicate that family background is not the dominant factor influencing students’ bullying behavior. This study implies the need for more comprehensive prevention strategies involving schools, families, and the social environment to create a safe learning climate while simultaneously strengthening students’ character education.Bullying masih menjadi salah satu permasalahan yang sering muncul di lingkungan sekolah dan perlu mendapat perhatian dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh latar belakang keluarga terhadap perilaku bullying pada pelajar SMA di kota Samarinda. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan pendekatan mix methode yang bersifat deskriptif.  Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, kuesioner, dan wawancara. Kegiatan Penelitian dilakukan pada Januari-Mei 2024 di empat sekolah, yaitu SMAN 16, SMA Budi Luhur, SMAN 3 dan SMK Negeri 14 Samarinda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sebagian besar siswa berasal dari keluarga lengkap dengan presentase 70,4% hingga 93,7%. Meskipun demikian, perilaku bullying tetap ditemukan, seperti mendorong teman (3,7%-32,9%), mengejek dengan julukan buruk (14,8%-34,2%), serta melakukan kekerasan fisik (2,8%-10,5%). Data ini menunjukkan bahwa latar belakang keluarga bukanlah factor dominan yang mempengaruhi perilaku bullying siswa. Penelitian ini berimplikasi pada perlunya strategi pencegahan yang lebih komprehensif dengan melibatkan sekolah, keluarga, dan lingkungan social dalam menciptakan iklim belajar yang aman sekaligus memperkuat Pendidikan karakter siswa.

Abstract

Analysis of Microplastic Content in Fish Digestive Tracts at PPI Selili Samarinda, East Kalimantan. The aim is to determine the type of microplastic content in marine fish at PPI Selili Samarinda. The type of research is qualitative research with analytical descriptive methods. The samples used were flying fish (Decapterus spp.), milkfish (Chanos chanos), white tuna (Thunus sp.), red snapper (Lutjanus sanguineus), and white trevally (Caranx sexfasciatus). The indicators of microplastics used in this research are the results of identifying microplastics based on shape and size. The research results showed that the fish samples contained microplastic particles including fiber, fragments, film and monofilament, with the fiber type being the most dominant. In flying fish (Decapterus spp.) the size of microplastics ranges from 768.28µm - 1,175.85µm for fiber type, 421.85µm - 955.89µm for fragment type, 812.45µm- 1,102.79µm for film type, and 1,592.59µm for monofilament type. Milkfish (Chanos chanos) ranges from 686.89µm - 814.95µm for fiber type, 267.79µm - 814.46µm for fragment type, 296.25µm - 755.70µm for film type, and 1,310.46µm - 1,374.86µm for monofilament type. White tuna (Thunus sp.) ranges from 457.41µm - 1,149.24µm for fiber type, 305.04µm - 601.01µm for fragment type, 374.74µm for film type, and 1,175.66µm for monofilament type. Red snapper (Lutjanus sanguineus) ranges from 408.02µm - 642.05µm for fiber type, 714.9µm - 804, 47µm for fragment type, 514.01µm - 852.96µm for film type, and 639.88µm - 1,196.88µm for monofilament type. White pompano (Caranx sexfasciatus) ranges from 535.63µm - 671, 82µm for fiber type, 205.23µm - 764.04µm for fragment type, 761.73µm - 783.88µm for film type, and 617µm for monofilament type. Analisis Kandungan Mikroplastik pada Saluran Pencernaan Ikan di PPI Selili Samarinda Kalimantan Timur. Bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis kandungan mikroplastik pada ikan laut di PPI Selili Samarinda. Jenis penelitiannya penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analitis. Sampel yang digunakan ikan layang (Decapterus spp.), ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos), ikan tongkol putih (Thunus sp.), ikan kakap merah (Lutjanus sanguineus), dan ikan kuwe putih (Caranx sexfasciatus). Indikator dari mikroplastik yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu hasil identifikasi mikroplastik berdasarkan bentuk dan ukuran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sampel ikan mengandung partikel mikroplastik diantaranya berjenis fiber, fragmen, film dan monofilament, dengan jenis fiber yang paling mendominasi. Pada ikan layang (Decapterus spp.) ukuran mikroplastik berkisar 768,28µm - 1.175,85µm untuk jenis fiber, 421,85µm - 955, 89µm jenis fragment, 812,45µm- 1.102,79µm jenis film, dan 1.592,59µm jenis monofilament. Ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos) berkisar 686,89µm - 814,95µm jenis fiber, 267,79µm - 814,46µm jenis fragment, 296,25µm - 755,70µm jenis film, dan 1.310,46µm - 1.374,86µm jenis monofilament. Ikan tongkol putih (Thunus sp.) berkisar 457,41µm - 1.149,24µm jenis fiber, 305,04µm - 601, 01µm jenis fragment, 374,74µm jenis film, dan 1.175,66µm jenis monofilament. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui level kemampuan siswa dalam beragumentasi secara tertulis pada materi pencemaran lingkungan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 11 Samarinda. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, responden yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas VII dan VIII sebanyak 180 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa soal tes kemampuan argumentasi dengan materi pencemaran lingkungan. Soal tersebut berjumlah 5 soal dalam bentuk uraian yang kemudian jawaban dari soal tersebut dianalisis menggunakan Toulmin Argumentastion Pattern (TAP). Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dari interpretasi data kualitas level argumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menunjukan prosentase level kemampuan argumentasi siswa 100% sudah mampu memberi claim, 90,5% data, 24,4% warrant, 10% backing, 3,8% rebuttal hal ini menunjukan bahwa kemampuan argumentasi siswa secara tertulis dengan kriteria sangat baik berada di level 1 dan 2, untuk level lebih tinggi perlu ditingkatkan lagi pengalaman belajar, kemampuan kebahasaan dan pemahaman konsep siswa pada meteri pencemaran lingkungan. Kemampuan argumentasi dapat ditingkatkan dengan menambah pengalaman siswa untuk berlatih berargumen melalui pembelajaran yang lebih memfasilitasi siswa mengemukakan pendapat.

Abstract

To maximize production, catfish farmers must optimize feed quality as one of the key factors supporting catfish growth and development. This study aimed to analyze the effect of adding singkil leaf flour (Premna corymbosa) to feed on the growth performance of Sangkuriang catfish (Clarias gariepinus var. Sangkuriang). The research was conducted from February to April using a randomized group design with four treatments and six replications. The treatments consisted of 100% pellets (P1), 100% singkil leaf flour (P2), 80% pellets + 20% singkil leaf flour (P3), and 70% pellets + 30% singkil leaf flour (P4). The analysis of singkil leaf flour showed a moisture content of 6.5%, ash content of 9.3%, protein 2.6%, fat 0.7%, and total carbohydrates 80.9%. The best growth performance was observed in the P3 treatment (80% pellets + 20% singkil leaf flour). It can therefore be concluded that singkil leaf flour alone cannot serve as an alternative single feed for catfish; however, it can be effectively used as a supplementary ingredient at a maximum proportion of 20% in combination with pellets.

Abstract

Serangan serangga hama merupakan salah satu faktor penyebab rendahnya produktivitas tomat ceri. Penggunaan pestisida sintetis memang efektif, namun memiliki dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan dan kesehatan manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kombinasi ekstrak daun serai wangi dan daun jambu air terhadap intensitas serangan serangga hama pada tanaman tomat ceri serta menentukan konsentrasi paling efektif. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan lima perlakuan (kontrol, 30%, 45%, 60%, dan 75%) dan lima ulangan. Pengamatan dilakukan pada 12, 19, 26, 33, 40, dan 47 hari setelah tanam (HST). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi ekstrak kedua tanaman berpengaruh signifikan dalam menekan serangan hama. Perlakuan 75% merupakan konsentrasi paling efektif dengan intensitas serangan hama terendah pada seluruh periode pengamatan. Dengan demikian, kombinasi ekstrak daun serai wangi dan jambu air dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif pestisida nabati ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Tanaman stroberi (Fragaria sp.) merupakan jenis tanaman yang hidup di daerah dataran tinggi. Dengan memanfaatkan limbah organik sebagai pupuk organik cair dapat membantu produksi skala rumahan untuk tanaman stroberi (Fragaria sp.) di daerah dataran rendah. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengkaji pengaruh serta kadar optimal pupuk organik cair urine kelinci dan kulit pisang kepok (Musa paradisiaca) terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman stroberi (Fragaria sp.) di dataran rendah. Urine kelinci yang mengandung unsur N, P & K tinggi dan kulit pisang kepok (Musa paradisiaca) dengan kandungan Ca, N, P dan K yang dianggap dapat memenuhi unsur hara yang diperlukan dalam pertumbuhan tanaman stroberi (Fragaria sp.). Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak Kelompok faktorial yang terdiri dari 16 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan dengan parameter yaitu tinggi tanaman(cm), jumlah daun(helai), dan berat basah(gram). Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan K1P3 memberikan pengaruh dengan hasil terbaik pada tinggi tanaman dan perlakuan K2P2 memberikan pengaruh terhadap jumlah daun dan berat buah dari tanaman stroberi (Fragaria sp.)
