Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine changes in vegetation density due to population migration in the Air Cool watershed using the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) method. This research is descriptive research using a quantitative approach. Determining the level of vegetation density in the Air Winter watershed is carried out using the vegetation index score classification by Marwoto & Ginting (2009) which consists of Non-Vegetation, Low Vegetation, Medium Vegetation and High Vegetation density classes. The location of this research is in the Air Cold Watershed, Lubuk Minturun Village, Koto Tangah District, Padang City. Based on the results of the research conducted, several things can be concluded as follows. The results of the analysis of vegetation density levels obtained from image data for 2016 and 2022 consist of Non Vegetation density classes covering 102.86 ha and 12.46 ha, Low Vegetation 730.71 ha and 1279.74 ha, Medium Vegetation 399.76 ha and 5301.17 ha and High Vegetation 11559.82 ha and 6199.63 ha. This change in Vegetation Density was then also followed by an increase in population by 2493 people in Lubuk Minturun Village and 3856 people from Balai Gadang Village, as well as a reduction in the number of people living in areas close to the coastline. This significant population movement of course triggers land clearing for settlements and other land clearing activities so that the Vegetation Density changes along with population growth in an area.

Abstract

Coastal waters are vital ecosystems that support marine life and human activities such as fisheries and tourism. However, population growth and urbanization have led to a surge in domestic waste, particularly plastics and liquid waste containing hazardous chemicals. Poor waste management pollutes coastal ecosystems, degrades the environment, and poses health risks to communities. This study aims to formulate evidence-based recommendations for sustainable waste management to minimize its impact on coastal environmental quality and public health. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on 15 relevant scientific articles. The findings indicate that domestic waste contributes to eutrophication, water quality deterioration, and microplastic exposure, contaminating the marine food chain. The health effects include respiratory disorders, skin diseases, and gastrointestinal infections. Additionally, inadequate waste management infrastructure and low public awareness exacerbate the problem. Conclusion : Domestic waste has a significant impact on coastal ecosystems and public health. Poorly managed plastic and liquid waste contribute to eutrophication, water quality degradation, and microplastic contamination, which can disrupt the marine food chain.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tidak adanya platform pariwisata sebagai pelayanan digital terhadap wisatawan dan minimnya kemampuan POKDARWIS untuk menciptakan trobosan inovatif sektor pariwisata di Kelurahan Pulai Anak Air menjadi topik utama dalam penyelesaian permasalahan. Tujuan pengabdian dilakukan pemberdayaan untuk membekali POKDARWIS dengan kemampuan dan pengetahuan pengelolaan serta penggunaan WebGIS Tourism; Metode yang digunakan berupa focus Group Discussiun dengan melibatkan mitra secara langsung bersifat partisipatif.Tahap awal memerlukan upaya melakukan sosialisasi kepada pemerintah daerah, stakeholder lokal, dan masyarakat luas. Melakukan identifikasi menyeluruh terhadap objek wisata yang ada di Pulai Anak Air. Tim Kegiatan akan menjalani pelatihan awal yang komprehensif tentang penggunaan perangkat lunak GIS, teknologi web, dan pemetaan. Pembuatan Peta Digital berbasis WebGIS Sederhana; mitranya adalah POKDARWIS dan pegawai kelurahan, berjumlah 10 orang; dari evaluasi yang dilakukan berdasarkan hasil diskusi dengan masyarakat dapat membatu masyarakat dalam mempromosikan daerah ini dan peningkatan pendapatan dari UMKM. Hasil telah dicapai dibangun sebuah WebGIS yang bisa membantu masyarakat mempromosikan baik kuliner, kerajinan dan homestay yang juga tersedia. 50% POKDARWIS mendapatkan softskill atau hardskill terkait update WebGIS yang sudah dibangun, peningkatan pendapatan bagi masyarakat dengan media digital untuk mempromosikan usaha mereka.Abstract: The absence of a tourism platform as a digital service to tourists and the lack of POKDARWIS's ability to create innovative breakthroughs in the tourism sector in Pulai Anak Air Village are the main topics in problem solving. The purpose of the service is empowerment to equip POKDARWIS with the ability and knowledge of managing and using WebGIS Tourism; The method used is in the form of focus group discussions by directly involving partners in a participatory manner. The initial stage requires efforts to conduct socialization to local governments, local stakeholders, and the wider community. Conduct a thorough identification of existing tourism objects in Pulai Anak Air. The Activity Team will undergo comprehensive initial training on the use of GIS software, web technology, and mapping. Creation of a Simple WebGIS-based Digital Map; partners are POKDARWIS and village officials, totaling 10 people; from the evaluation carried out based on the results of discussions with the community can help the community in promoting this area and increasing income from MSMEs. Results have been achieved by building a WebGIS that can help the community promote both culinary, crafts and homestays that are also available. 50% of POKDARWIS get soft skills or hard skills related to updating the WebGIS that has been built, increasing income for the community with digital media to promote their business.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: (1) Mapping flood vulnerability in Koto XI Tarusan Sub-district, Pesisir Selatan Regency. (2) To determine the most influential factors in determining the level of flood vulnerability in Koto XI Tarusan Sub-district, Pesisir Selatan Regency. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive, and inferential approaches. Using a combined method consisting of three stages of analysis. Firstly, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used to determine the priority importance of each parameter based on expert judgement. Second, Binary Logistic Regression was applied to build the most stable and significant statistical prediction model. Thirdly, bivariate analyses (Chi-Square Test and Independent Sample T-Test) were applied to test individual relationships between variables. The six main parameters were rainfall, elevation, slope, soil type, distance from river and land cover. Validation of the regression model was conducted with a train-test data split of 80%-20%. The results showed that (1) The results of the AHP method flood vulnerability mapping are classified into three levels of vulnerability, namely low with an area of 22,584.94 hectares (51%), medium with an area of 18,704.34 hectares (42%), and high with an area of 2,987.69 hectares (7%). Mapping binary logistic regression method classified into three levels of vulnerability, namely low with an area of 31,054.538 hectares (70%), moderate with an area of 2,644.558 hectares (6%), and high with an area of 10,649, 199 hectares (24%), concentrated along the alluvial plain of Tarusan watershed (2) Rainfall (priority, 0.38) and Elevation (priority, 0.23) are the most influential factors according to AHP. Binary logistic regression model of significant variables showed Distance from River (p = 0.002) and Slope (p = 0.015) as the best model with 100% validation accuracy. Bivariate analysis proved that the factors of soil type, land cover and elevation had very strong individual relationships (p < 0.05) with flood occurrence. In conclusion, triggering factors (hydrometeorology) and physical vulnerability (geomorphology and land cover) jointly determine the level of flood vulnerability.

Abstract

Field mice or Rattus argentiventer are dangerous rodent pests. These mice attack rice plants starting when the rice stalks are still young until the rice is harvested. A single rat can damage between 11-176 stalks of rice per night. By mapping the distribution of damage, the home range and looking for the relationship between the ecological landscape of rice fields and the community's five farming businesses, the level of danger of this pest can be estimated. The methods used are Kernel density, Overlay and questionnaire distribution. Based on the results of processing using GIS, it was found that the distribution of rat pests in Nagari Timbulun was 188 points, the range covered 221.76 ha of land and the most influential landscape was the high embankment with the discovery of 166 damage points. Apart from that, the highest five farming indicators are the selection of superior seeds and soil processing with an achievement percentage of 100%. Meanwhile, the lowest indicator is the pest and disease control indicator with an achievement percentage of 38.02%.

Abstract

The laying hen farm in Nagari Mungka is close to residential areas which cause unpleasant odors which can pollute the environment which leads to a perception. This research aims to determine the public's perception of the business of egg-laying chicken farming in residential areas in Nagari Mungka, Mungka District, and to find out efforts to overcome the negative impacts caused by egg-laying chicken farming in residential areas in Nagari Mungka. The data analysis used in this research is statistical analysis using a Likers Scale to measure the sub-variables of odor and farm cleanliness. The results of the research show that the public's perception of the existence of egg-laying chicken farming businesses in residential areas in Nagari Mungka, Mungka District is in the moderately disturbed category. Efforts to overcome the negative impacts caused by egg-laying chicken farming by the local community are by taking several measures such as closing the doors and windows of the house when the wind comes, using air freshener, using fans and using fly tape.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) mengetahui perubahan luas hutan mangrove di kawasan Mandeh pada tahun 2016 dan 2023 2) mengetahui tingkat kepadatan hutan mangrove di kawasan Mandeh 3) mengetahui konversi hutan mangrove di kawasan Mandeh. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan spasial menggunakan citra Sentinel-2A, teknik analisis data menggunakan indeks vegetasi terbimbing, NDVI dan EVI. Hasil penelitian 1) Perubahan hutan mangrove di kawasan Mandeh pada tahun 2016 hingga 2023 menunjukkan adanya pengurangan luas dari 603,42 ha menjadi 513,20 ha, berkurang sebesar 90,22 ha. 2) berdasarkan indeks vegetasi baik NDVI maupun EVI, kepadatan tinggi mendominasi hutan mangrove di kawasan Mandeh, dari hasil uji akurasi dapat disimpulkan bahwa EVI lebih besar dalam mengidentifikasi kepadatan mangrove dibandingkan NDVI, tingkat akurasi EVI sebesar 92,16% dan NDVI 74,51%. 3) konversi hutan mangrove menjadi lahan terbuka terbesar yaitu 48,84 ha, nagari Cerocok Anau Ampang Pulai merupakan nagari yang mempunyai fungsi konversi hutan mangrove terluas yaitu 51,40 ha.

Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan teknologi informasi menuntut pelaku usaha untuk berinovasi, termasuk dalam sektor layanan kecantikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem informasi reservasi layanan kecantikan berbasis website pada Resalon Facial & Treatment dengan konsep home service. Sistem ini dirancang untuk mengatasi permasalahan antrian panjang, kesalahan pencatatan, serta ketidakefisienan proses reservasi manual. Metode FAST digunakan dalam proses pengembangan, meliputi tahapan analisis kebutuhan, desain sistem, implementasi, dan pengujian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa website yang dibangun mampu mempermudah pelanggan dalam melakukan reservasi layanan secara online, meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, serta mendukung pencatatan pesanan yang lebih terstruktur. Selain itu, sistem ini juga mempermudah admin dalam mengelola data pesanan dan meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan, sehingga memberikan nilai tambah bagi Resalon dalam menghadapi persaingan bisnis di era digital

Abstract

Coastal areas in Indonesia, including Padang City, face increasing vulnerability due to a combination of natural processes and human activities. This literature review synthesizes findings from various studies to assess the dimensions of coastal vulnerability and adaptation strategies, with a focus on Padang City, West Sumatra. The review reveals that major issues include abrasion, seawater intrusion, tidal flooding, ecosystem degradation, and limited adaptive capacity of coastal communities. Physical vulnerability is influenced by factors such as building density, land subsidence, ecosystem degradation, and inadequate adaptive infrastructure, while socio-economic and institutional challenges include weak governance, limited funding, and low community participation. Studies in different regions demonstrate that effective adaptation requires a combination of physical engineering, ecosystem-based approaches, socio-economic diversification, and institutional integration. For Padang City, the high exposure to coastal hazards, coupled with dependence on marine-based livelihoods, underscores the urgency of comprehensive adaptation strategies. These strategies should be proactive, data-driven, and involve cross-sector collaboration, integrating coastal vulnerability assessments into urban planning, policy frameworks, and community capacity-building efforts. Without such integrated approaches, Padang faces escalating risks to its environmental sustainability, socio-economic resilience, and long-term development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini Bertujuan: (1) Untuk mengetahui kondisi kesehatan tanaman kelapa sawit yang kekurangan nutrisi dengan memanfaatkan sistem informasi geografi dan penginderaan jauh. (2) Untuk menganalisis dan mengetahui hasil estimasi produktifitas tanaman kelapa sawit di kebun 3 PT.JJP. Dalam mengidentifikasi kondisi kesehatan tanaman kelapa sawit ini menggunakan metode Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI). NDVI merupakan perhitungan band merah dan band inframerah dekat pada citra satelit untuk mengetahui tingkat kehijuan tanaman dan tingkat kesehatan pada tanaman. NDVI memiliki rentang nilai -1 sampai 1, dengan asumsi semakin aktif proses fotosintesis pada tanaman maka nilai NDVI akan semakin tinggi, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa tanaman tersebut mampu untuk melakukan proses fotosintesis dengan baik yang berarti tanaman tersebut sehat. Nilai NDVI ini nantinya akan dibandingkan dengan data Leaf Sampling Unit (LSU) untuk melakukan uji akurasi interpretasi citra, lalu akan di analisis estimasi produktivitas tanaman kelapa sawit berdasarkan hasil NDVI. Hasil penelitian yaitu: (1) Hasil nilai NDVI kebun 3 PT.JJP memiliki rentan nilai -0,47 – 0,73. (2) Pengklasifikasian tingkat kesehatan terdapat 3 kelas tingkat kesehatan yaitu kelas tanaman tidak sehat seluas 52 ha dengan rentan nilai NDVI 0,11 – 0,22, kelas tanaman cukup sehat seluas 824 ha dengan rentan nilai 0,22 – 0,42, dan kelas tanaman sangan sehat seluas 1945 ha dengan rentan nilai NDVI 0,42 – 0,72, Kelas tingkat kesehatan ini sesuai dengan data LSU yang telah dianalisis kandungan nutrisi makronya (N, P, K, Mg). (3) Perhitungan estimasi produktifitas tanaman kelapa sawit kebun 3 menggunakan nilai NDVI pada bulan juli 2023 menunjukkan nilai rata – rata 2,56 Ton/Ha dengan hasil keseluruhan luas dari area tanaman yang telah menghasilkan yaitu 4.979 Ton dengan perbandingan hasil produktifitas tanaman kelapa sawit dari data perusahan yaitu 4.481 Ton.
