Abstract

This study mainly purposes to analyze revenue, risk, relationship between revenue with risk, technical efficiency, and factors that affecting technical efficiency of shallot farming. The research location is located in Kota Gajah Sub District, Central Lampung Regency with and the data was collected in July - August 2019 using census method. The number of respondents are 40 farmers members of three farmer groups who have planted shallots. The data are analyzed using revenue analysis, coefficient of variaton, Pearson Correlation Analysis, technical efficiency using Frontier Function, and multiple linear regression. The study shows that shallot farming income from cash costs and total costs Rp15.142.901,83/hectare and Rp4.002.020,84/hectare, respectively. Therefore coefficient of variation of income risk is 1,02 indicating that the risk of farming is very high. The relationship between revenue risk and revenue level is quite close. The shallot farming is technically efficient yet. The factors that significantly affecting technical efficiency are farming costs, revenue, and revenue risk.Key words: efficiency, farmers, revenue, risk, shallot.

The benefit of prima-3 certification and SLPHT in economic terms determined by farm income, meanwhile the pineapple quality assuredness, social and environmental terms analyzed using sustainability index. The different test of F test (One Way Anova) and Post Hoc Test LSD is used afterwards to analyze the assessment of pineapple farming. The results show that farm income of the first year to the third year sequentially for certified farmers are Rp57.450.792; Rp136.367.252 and Rp17.330.297, for SLPHT farmers are Rp54.169.465; Rp137.874.183 and Rp19.220.465, and non-SLPHT farmers are Rp55.326.879; Rp127.256.986 and Rp14.798.958. Prima-3 certification program and SLPHT in economic terms that is determined by farm income have not provided benefits, but the assesment result of pineapple farming management towards the increasing of the pineapple quality assuredness have provided benefits. Abstract

This study aims to determine the benefit of the empowerment and coffee verification through  verified and non-verified coffee farm financial analysis and sensitivity analysis due to the decline in production and selling prices, and also increase in production costs. From each type of farming, 36 farmers sample are drawn by simple random sampling method, which choose 23 farmers from Pulau Panggung Subdistrict (3 farmer group) and 13 farmers from Sumberejo Subdistrict (2 farmer group).  Data collection was conducted in January-March 2013. Benefits through the empowerment and verification is analyzed through financial feasibility analysis using criteria NPV, IRR, Net B/C, Gross B/C, and Payback Period.  Sensitivity analysis uses the possibility in decline in production by 68%, decrease in selling price by 25%, and rise in labor cost by 16.7%. The results showed that verified farms have the feasibility criteria of NPV, IRR, Net B/C, Gross B/C, and payback period (PP) each amounting to Rp32,200,565; 17.83%; 1.93; 1.45; and 7.18 years; whereas in the non-verified farm feasibility criteria each amounting to Rp6,796,334; 12.10%; 1.19; 1.09; and 9.49 years.  Sensitivity analysis using the cash cost showed that only production decline that led both types of farming being unfeasible unless the criteria based on PP. In analysis based on the total cost, the decline in production and selling prices led to both types of farming was also not feasible unless by the PP criteria. Keywords: Coffee quality, empowerment, financial feasibility, perception, verification
