This research purposes to study the benefits of Rainforest Alliance (RA) certificate in developing the sustainability of coffee farming from the aspects of economy, environmental, social and to analyze the factors that affect farmers to adopt sustainable coffee farming. The study was conducted in Pulau Panggung Sub Districts of Tanggamus Regency. This study compares the coffee farm management of certified farmers and noncertified farmers. There are 39 farmers chosen from each of coffee farming types. The benefits of RA certified for sustainability of coffee farming based on the increasing productivity, cost efficiency, and income of farmers were analyzed by t-test. The different test of Mann-Whitney U test is used to analyze the assessment of coffee farming management. The logit analysis method is used to analyze the factors that influence the farmers’ decisions. The research results showed that from the economy aspect, RA certification had benefits in terms of farmers management practices to increase the quality and cost control of coffee, but it had not yet benefit to increase the income, productivity and cost efficiency of coffee farming. Similarly, RA certification had benefits in terms of environmental and social, in which the results of the assessment of sustainable coffee farm management by certified farmers were significantly higher. Farmers' income and participation in RA certification program had positive effect on farmers to implement sustainable coffee farming. Key words : certification, coffee farming, sustainability

This study aims to analyze food security level, the factors affecting food security, and the efforts to increase food security of farmer household of granary member. The location of this study is chosen purposively as consideration that the group of granaries received the granary development program in Gading Rejo Subdistrict, Pringsewu Regency with 44 farmers of granary members who are selected by proportional random sampling method. Data were collected in April 2018. Food security level is analyzed using cross classification between food expenditure and food sufficiency level, factors affecting the level of food security is analyzed using ordinal logistic regression, and the efforts to increase the level of food security is analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis. The study shows that food security according to BPS category as much as 22.,73% is in secure category, 15.91% less secure, 34.09% vulnerable, and 27.27% insecure. Food security according to nutrition science and the 2012 Constitution of Food as much as 45.45% is in secure category, 27,27% less secure, 15.91% vulnerable, and 11.36% insecure. Factors that influence the level of food security are rice production, price of rice, and side occupation. Efforts to increase food security are programs on increasing income through irrigation and crop indexes, improving nutrition through education on nutrition and food by the government, accelerating food diversification, and development of food barns. Farmer’s effort to overcome food shortages is by changing habit in the quality of food consumed.Key words: food security, granary member

The aim of this research is to analyze financial feasibility and development prospect of nutmeg farming in Lampung Province. This research was conducted in Gisting Subdistrict, Tanggamus Regency and data were collected in September - October 2017 using a survey method. This reaserch used primary and secondary data. Primary data were used to analyze financial feasibility and obtained by interview technique using questionnaires. The samples size of this research were 30 nutmeg farmers taken using simple random sampling. Secondary data were data in the past seven - nine years to find out the prospect development of nutmeg farming. The data were analyzed using financial feasibility and time series linier with ARIMA model analyses. The results of the study showed that the nutmeg farming was feasible, and development prospect of nutmeg farming based on production and nutmeg seeds export had a good potential for the future.Key words: ARIMA, development, financial, nutmeg, prospect

This study aims at determining the most important criteria in supporting the development of One Village One Product (OVOP) products and identifying the competitive as food crop commodities developed in OVOP. The researh was conducted in Astomulyo Village, Punggur Sub-district, Central Lampung District. The research sites were selected purposively with consideration of the size of nonrice land for food crops is very high. Respondents were determined purposively with expert judgement such as: food crop farmers, Agricultural Extensions, offficials of Horticulture/Agriculture Department, and business people. Data were collected with FGD (Focus Group Discussion) and analyzed using AHP (Analysis Hierarchy Process). The study shows that the most important criteria in supporting OVOP product development is capital aspect with the highest weight value of 44.65%, followed by economic aspect 24.83%, appearance and product quality aspect 13.76%, cultural and product specificity aspect 11.43%,, and physical and environmental carrying capacity aspect 5.33%. Pineapple is the best alternative crop with weighted of 44%, followed by corn 22%, cassava 16.8%, eggplant 10.7% and cucumber 6.1%. Key words: decision making, OVOP, superior commodity

This study aims to analyze the travel cost tourist should pay, to find out the factors that influence visiting frequency, and economics value of the Pahawang Island tour garden in Pesawaran Regency based on travel cost analysis. The research used survey method in which location was chosen purposively in Pahawang Island tour garden, Marga Punduh Subdistrict of Pesawaran regency. The respondents are 40 tourists who were visiting Pahawang Island tour garden of Pesawaran Regency. Data of this research were collected in April-Desember 2016 and analyzed by linear multiple and travel cost analysis. The result showed that the average of tourist travel cost were Rp459.726. The factors influenced visiting frequency were distance and travel cost. The amount of economics value of Pahawang island tour garden were Rp6,944,262,295,082. The purposes of this study are to analyze income and risk of shrimp cultivation, factors affecting the income, and factors affecting land conversion from cultivating tiger shrimp to vaname shrimp. The study was conducted in Purworejo Village, Pasir Sakti Subdistrict, East Lampung District, in March - April 2017 using a survey method. Respondents were 60 farmers consisting of 30 vaname shrimp farmers and 30 tiger shrimp farmers taken randomly. Data processing uses income analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of variation analysis, and logit analysis. The results showed that the income of vaname shrimp farming was Rp53,586,604.00/ha and of tiger shrimp was Rp6,818,543.00/ha. Tiger shrimp farming has a higher risk than vaname shrimp. The level of education, farm income, and shrimp prices are negatively affect the decision-making opportunities of farmers to switch from tiger shrimp farming to vaname shrimp.Keywords: income, risk, tiger shrimp, vaname shrimp

The purposes of this research are to investigate the demand of powdered milk at the household level, to know what factors that influence the demand, to analyze satisfaction level and to know the influencing factors of household consumer satisfaction on consuming powdered milk in Bandar Lampung. This research was conducted by purposive survey method in traditional, modern, and minimarket in Bandar Lampung. The samples of this research were 80 people that taken by accidental sampling method. Data collection was conducted from August until November 2014. The demand level and its influencing factors were analyzed by using Cobb Douglass function, satisfaction of consuming powdered milk was measured by costumer satisfaction index (CSI), where as the factors that influenced household consumer satisfaction was analyzed by logistic regression analysis. The result of this research showed that demand of powdered milk which consumed by household consumer was 670 g/ month. The factor that influenced powdered milk demand was powdered milk cost, liquid milk cost, and income level. There were 61 consumers felt satisfy with powdered milk performance. Factors that influence consumer satisfaction level was powdered milk cost and buying location. Key words: consuming, demand, powdered milk, satisfaction

This research purposed to analyze the benefits of Indonesian Organic Farm Certification (INOFICE) toward the development of coffee farm sustainability from economic dimension, environmental dimension and social dimension. This research was conducted at Air Hitam sub district Lampung Barat district. Sample of research are 30 farmers each from certified farmer and non certified farmer. Economic benefits was analyzed through on farming analysis by counting productivity, cost efficiency and income then was tested with t test to know if there any difference. The economic, environmental and social benefits were analyzed using Mann Whitney U test. The result showed that (1) INOFICE certification had not given benefits toward of coffee farm sustainability. Certified farmers who has been sustainable on economic, environmental dan social were 73,33.% while noncertified farmers were 96,67% categories in sufficiently sustainable on economic, environemental and social. (2) INOFICE certification had not given economic benefits like increasing of productivity and income, but it gave benefit like increasing cost efficiency. (3) INOFICE certification gave benefits in sustainable coffee farm application in term of economic, environmental and social. The application of sustainable coffee farm in economic, environmental and social form was higher significantly on farmers certified than nonsertified farmers. This study aimed to analyze management of raw material procurement; cost of production, added value and profit; distribution channels in the luwak coffee aroindustry. The method used was a case study on the Ratu Luwak Agroindustry in Balik Bukit District, West Lampung Regency. The research was conducted from April 2020 to June 2020. The data analysis methods used were quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicated that the management of raw material procurement was not yet economical; the cost of production, added value and profit of the agroindustry had positive values which means that the agro-industry was profitable; distribution channels shown that the marketing was efficient. This research aims to analyze satisfaction level and loyalty housewifes inconsuming oil package, the factors influencing the level of satisfaction level and loyalty housewifes inconsuming oil package in Bandar Lampung City. This research used survey method to 53 households in Bandar Lampung City taken Simple Random Sampling. This research was conducted in the Sub-district of South Teluk Betung at Bumi Waras Village and Sub-district Kemiling at Beringin Raya selected purposive. The analysis used the analysis of customer satisfaction index, the analysis of switcher buyer, habitual buyer, satisfied buyer, liking the brand, and committed buyer and logit analysis . The results showed that the level of satisfaction housewifes was 76.40 %, the level of loyalty housewife with a value is 84.91 % buyer switcher, habitual buyers 81.13 %, 75.47 % satisfied buyer, liking the brand 69.8 % and 71.70% committed buyer. Factors that influence of satisfaction level and loyaty housewifes were education, income, mother age, family members and the location of purchase.
