Abstract

Descriptive text learning is studied at the junior high school level, especially class VII, which is still not optimal because learning activities are still less popular with students and do not utilize technology so that students only use textbooks and student worksheet materials which are not interesting. This is due to limited facilities and infrastructure in schools, so learning innovation through practical and simple applications is needed. Thus, researchers tried to use LKPD assisted by image media to overcome this problem. The aim of conducting this research is to see how students respond to the use of LKPD assisted by image media in learning descriptive text. The research method used is quantitative descriptive with an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Based on the research results, it is known that the results of the distribution of questionnaires, questions with a (+) character obtained a result of 90.6% with very good criteria and questionnaire questions with a (-) character obtained a result of 33.2 with good criteria. Thus, it can be concluded that the student response to the use of LKPD assisted by image media in learning descriptive text for class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Cimahi in this research is included in the very good category.

Abstract

Currently, literart works become a trend among all ages because of changes in form that add to the aesthetics of a literary work. Not infrequently a literary work becomes a film that is widely carried out by filmmakers. Most people choose to watch movies in the midst of their busy lives to calm their minds from various activites. This is further strengthened by the number of best-selling novels in the market which are converted into films. Whether youth novels, horror, even history, a novel can be turned into an interesting and worthy film to watch. In this study, researchers chose the novel Bumi Manusia by Pramoedya Ananta Toer and the film Bumi Manusia by director Hanung Bramantyo as research materials. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of ecranization of the plot, setting, character, both in terms of categories of shrinking, adding, and varying aspects in the transfer of the novel to the film form. Data is done by reading, then watching, then taking notes. The results show that the ecranization process occurs in the elements of the plot, setting, character, namely the existence of various shrinkage, additions and changes. As for the various changes that occur at the end of the scenes that seem to be accelerated by the omission of scenes in the novel. When the screening of the film does not deviate from the plot of the novel and these changes add to the content of the meaning of the film Bumi Manusia.

Abstract

Pendampingan penyusunan bahan ajar daring berbasis metakognitif merupakan bagian dari program pengabdian pada masyarakat yang pertama kali dilaksanakan secara virtual oleh Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia IKIP Siliwangi. Pembelajaran daring di masa pandemi covid-19 telah memicu transformasi budaya baik bagi guru, siswa maupun orang tua. Permasalahan pembelajaran daring mengemuka, diantaranya  guru memiliki keterbatasan dalam menyampaikan materi pembelajaran, sehingga dibutuhkan bahan ajar daring yang dapat memfasilitasi siswa untuk belajar secara mandiri di rumah. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mendesiminasikan penyusunan bahan ajar daring berbasis metakognitif khusus materi ajar Bahasa Indonesia dalam bentuk 3D PageFlip Professional.  Metode yang digunakan dalam pendampingan adalah  workshop melalui service learning approach dengan tiga tahapan kegiatan yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap layanan, dan tahap refleksi. Pendampingan diikuti para guru tingkat SMP dan SMA di Wilayah Kabupaten Cianjur. Hasil pemahaman peserta sebelum dan setelah pendampingan melalui workshop menunjukkan perbandingan yang cukup ssignifikan dalam  menyusun bahan ajar daring berbasis metakognitif.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fundamental problem of the limitations of visually impaired students in accessing written information, especially in the process of reading which is a key skill in learning. Artificial intelligence supersense (AIS) technology based on android smartphones (SA) through a constructivism approach is present to accommodate the gap experienced by visually impaired students. This study aims to determine the development of the application of SA-based AIS technology through a constructivism approach to the reading ability of visually impaired students and describe the perception of visually impaired students towards the use of SA-based AIS technology through a constructivism approach. The research method used is single subject research. The research subject was chosen purposively based on the character of the research subject who had difficulty reading the exposition text. This research instrument uses tests, questionnaires, videos, and photos. The data analysis technique used with the A-B research design. The results of the study show that the development of the application of SA-based AIS through the constructivism approach can improve the ability to read exposition texts of visually impaired students and students' perception of the use of exposition texts. AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan mendasar keterbatasan mahasiswa tunanetra dalam mengakses informasi tertulis, terutama dalam proses membaca yang menjadi keterampilan kunci dalam pembelajaran. Teknologi artificial intelegence supersense (AIS) berbasis smartphone android (SA) melalui pendekatan konstruktivisme hadir untuk mengakomodasi kesenjangan yang dialami mahasiswa tunanetra. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perkembangan penerapan teknologi AIS berbasis SA melalui pendekatan konstruktivisme terhadap kemampuan membaca mahasiswa tunanetra dan mendeskripsikan persepsi mahasiswa tunanetra terhadap penggunaan teknologi AIS berbasis SA melalui pendekatan konstruktivisme. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah single subject research. Subjek penelitian dipilih secara purposif    berdasarkan karakter subjek penelitian yang mengalami kesulitan dalam membaca teks eksposisi. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan tes, angket, video, dan foto. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dengan desain penelitian A-B. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan penerapan AIS berbasis SA melalui pendekatan konstruktivisme dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca teks eksposisi mahasiswa tunanetra dan persepsi mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan terknologi AIS berbasis SA sangat positif yakni mengatasi hambatan aksesibilitas     bagi penyandang disabilitas netra.

Abstract

This research examines the identity of the Sundanese people contained in the Ciung Wanara (CW) myth. The research method uses the Levi-Strauss structuralism approach, which is assumed to be able to interpret myths comprehensively through innate discoveries which are the meeting point between surface and deep structure. The stages of research were carried out in several locations, namely (1) the search for Ciung Wanara data was divided into episodes and units; (2) synchronous and diachronic series were made to find the surface structure; (3) looking for a deep structure with a binary opposition path; and (4) innate discovery. The results showed that there were 17 episodes and 49 units. From the synchronic and diachronic tables for my theme, five triangular patterns were found, namely the queen's triangle pattern, the Supreme triangle pattern, the parents' triangle pattern, the life triangle pattern, the natural triangle pattern, and also found the Sundanese political triad. The most dominant pattern is contained in the Ciung Wanara myth, namely the triangular way of life, patterns of thinking, patterns of behavior, and patterns of action which are the identity of the Sundanese people and the application of the triad of Sundanese Politica (silih asih, silih asah, and silih asuh). AbstrakPenelitian ini mengkaji jati diri orang Sunda yang terdapat dalam mitos Ciung Wanara (CW). Penelitian menunjukkan model logis orang Sunda mengatasi konflik atau kontradiksi yang terjadi di antara mereka. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan strukturalisme Levi-Strauss yang diasumsikan dapat memaknai mitos secara komprehensif melalui penemuan innate yang merupakan titik temu antara surface dan deep structure. Tahapan penelitiannya, yaitu (1) pencarian data CW dibagi dalam episode dan unit; (2) dibuat deret sinkronis dan diakronis untuk menemukan surface structure; (3) dicari deep structure dengan jalan oposisi biner; dan (4) penemuan innate. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 17 episode dan 49 unit. Dari hasil penyusunan tabel sinkronis dan diakronis untuk mytheme ditemukan lima pola segitiga, yaitu pola segitiga permaisuri, pola segitiga Mahatinggi, pola segitiga orang tua, pola segitiga kehidupan, pola segitiga alam, dan ditemukan pula trias politika Sunda. Pola yang paling dominan terdapat dalam mitos CW, yaitu pola segitiga kehidupan, pola berpikir, pola bersikap, dan pola bertindak yang menjadi kekhasan jati diri orang Sunda, serta penerapan dari trias politika Sunda (silih asih, silih asah, dan silih asuh).

Abstract

Rendahnya kualitas pembelajaran menulis teks pidato persuasif  ditandai skor observasi kelas rata-rata 1,71/4 (42,9%), ketergantungan siswa pada arahan guru, dan belum optimalnya pemanfaatan teknologi digital, menjadi urgensi penelitian ini. Penelitian bertujuan mengembangkan Model Project Based Learning (PjBL) Berbantuan TikTok yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis pidato persuasif sekaligus mendorong kemandirian belajar. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) model ADDIE melalui tahap analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu sekolah, Kabupaten Bandung Barat, melibatkan 86 siswa (44 eksperimen, 42 kontrol) melalui purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui pretest-posttest, angket kemandirian, observasi keterlaksanaan, dan validasi ahli, lalu dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif menggunakan Uji Mann-Whitney, Effect Size, dan N-Gain. Hasil  validasi ahli menunjukkan skor rata-rata dari keseluruhan jenis instrument produk 3,45 (Sangat Layak) dengan keterlaksanaan sintaks 100%; kelas eksperimen meningkat 14,52 poin (64,34→78,86) dibanding kelas  kontrol hanya 5,24 poin; Uji Mann-Whitney signifikan (p=0,000) dengan effect size besar (r=0,55) dan N-Gain 0,41; kemandirian belajar meningkat konsisten, didukung 94% siswa merasa model sesuai kebiasaan teknologi mereka dan 96% termotivasi. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa Model PjBL Berbantuan TikTok efektif mengintegrasikan literasi bahasa, literasi digital, dan kemandirian belajar dalam satu ekosistem pembelajaran terpadu. Penelitian lanjutan disarankan mencakup konteks sekolah yang lebih beragam.

Abstract

Descriptive text writing skills are still a challenge for junior high school students due to lack of motivation and varied learning models. Based on the background of the problem, this research is formulated on how the effectiveness of using the TGT (Teams Games Tournament) learning model assisted by Genially media in improving the results of writing description texts for junior high school students in grade VII. Then, how is the process of using the TGT model assisted by Genially media in improving the results of writing descriptive texts in VII grade junior high school students. This study aims to determine the process, improvement, and completeness of the results of writing description texts for junior high school students in grade VII through the application of the TGT (Teams Games Tournament) model assisted by Genially media. The research method used is descriptive quantitative to provide a clear picture objectively of the learning outcomes of writing description text. The data collection technique in this research is a test. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics. The results showed that the use of TGT model assisted by Genially media achieved an average score increased by 33% from 33% to 66% with sufficient category. Thus, learning by using the TGT model assisted by Genially media is said to be successful because students experience an increase from pretest to posttest. These results prove that with the use of the TGT model assisted by Genially media, students can more easily understand the description text material.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of the Discovery Learning model assisted by the Rakata application on students' learning completion in writing poetry texts. The background of this study is based on the low ability to write poetry in class X students caused by the learning model that is less interesting and the minimal use of technology. An alternative solution to overcome this problem is to apply the Discovery Learning model which is designed to encourage students to be active in finding their own concepts, with the support of the Rakata application which allows creative and collaborative exploration in writing poetry. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pretest-posttest design. The subjects of the study were class X SMK students who were divided into experimental and control groups, each consisting of 30 students. The results showed that before the treatment, all students had not reached the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM), with an average score of 47.56. After the implementation of the Discovery Learning model assisted by the Rakata application, there was a significant increase with an average score reaching 81.03 and classical completion of 70%. These findings indicate that learning models combined with technology can improve poetry writing skills effectively.

Abstract

This study develops teaching materials for writing fantasy texts based on Book Creator using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model to enhance the creativity and writing skills of seventh-grade junior high school students. This research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method, encompassing needs analysis, product development, expert validation, small-scale trials, and large-scale trials. Validation results indicate that the teaching materials are highly feasible, with an average score of 86.2 based on expert and student assessments. Moreover, these materials effectively improve students’ writing skills, with a 75% increase in the experimental class compared to 38% in the control class. The strength of these teaching materials lies in the interactive features of Book Creator, which enable students to develop fantasy stories using text, images, and other multimedia elements. The implementation of the PBL model also helps students understand story structures while enhancing critical and creative thinking skills. Thus, this study concludes that Book Creator-based teaching materials with the PBL model are more effective than conventional methods in improving students’ writing skills and creativity. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for teachers in developing technology-based learning innovations in the digital era.

Abstract

The implementation of the independent curriculum at the time was a hot issue in education circles, and many ideas responded to the independent curriculum, both pro and con. This study aims to identify the challenges and obstacles in the implementation of the independent curriculum through a three-dimensional analysis: micro, medo, and macrostructure. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive method. The data collection technique was carried out through documentation of the news text entitled "Turbulence of the Independent Curriculum" published by Kompas.com on January 20, 2023. The analysis technique refers to the dialectical-relational approach developed by Fairclough covering three dimensions of analysis, namely microstructure (text analysis), mesostructure (discourse practice), and macrostructure (social practice. The results of the study in the discourse "Turbulence of the Independent Curriculum" from the linguistic aspect found terms that can strengthen the understanding of the independent curriculum, from the aspect of discourse practice the use of language style can provide readers with an understanding of the dynamics of the independent curriculum, then from the aspect of social practice in the discourse there is a relationship between roles in the world of education to synergize in facing and implementing the independent curriculum. Abstrak Implementasi kurikulum merdeka pada saat sedang menjadi isu hangat dikalangan Pendidikan, banyak sekali gagasan yang menanggapi terhadap kurikulum merdeka baik itu yang pro atau kontra. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengindentifikasi tantangan dan hambatan dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka melalui analisis tiga dimensi: mikrostuktur, mesostuktur, dan makrostuktur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif-deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dokumentasi terhadap teks berita berjudul “Turbulensi Kurikulum Merdeka” yang diterbitkan oleh Kompas.com pada 20 Januari 2023. Teknik analisis mengacu pada pendekatan dialectical-relational yang dikembangkan oleh Fairclough mencakup tiga dimensi analisis yaitu mikrostruktur (analisis teks), mesostruktur (praktik wacana), dan makrostruktur (praktik sosial). Hasil penelitian dalam wacana “Turbulensi Kurikulum Merdeka” dari aspek kebahasaan ditemukan istilah-istilah yang dapat memperkuat pemahaman tentang kurikulum merdeka, dari aspek praktik wacana penggunaan gaya bahasa dapat memberikan pemahaman kepada pembaca tentang dinamika kurikulum merdeka, kemudian dari aspek praktik sosial pada wacana tersebut terdapat keterkaitan antar peran di dunia Pendidikan untuk saling bersinergi dalam menghadapi dan mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka
