Abstract

Literary work is an essay that evokes feelings, thoughts, and experiences that are poured into writing. Novel is one of the literary works created by the author's imagination which is written in a narrative and contains stories about the problems of one's life. Every novel has intrinsic elements, such as theme and message. These elements can attract the interest of readers who come from various circles. The analysis of the novel in this study aims to describe the themes and messages contained in the novel "Mariposa" by Luluk Hidayatul Fajriyah. This research method is descriptive qualitative method. The data used, namely the theme and mandate in the novel "Mariposa". The data source used is the novel "Mariposa" by Luluk Hidayatul Fajriyah. The steps taken in analyzing the data are reading the novel "Mariposa", collecting data, analyzing the data that has been collected, selecting and sorting the data that has been analyzed, and describing the themes and messages in the novel. Based on the research results, the novel "Mariposa" by Luluk Hidayatul Fajriyah has two types of themes and two types of messages. The two types of themes are major themes about the struggle of love and minor themes about friendship. The mandate contained in the novel "Mariposa", namely the explicit mandate and the implicit mandate.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the difficulties experienced by students in writing descriptive texts. Meanwhile, the State of Indonesia was exposed to the coronavirus, which affected all sectors and one of them was Education. So learning is required online to prevent the transmission of the virus. Google Classroom is a free web service from Google to provide online learning. Google Classroom can be used for teachers and students using mobile phones or laptops wherever they are. This study used the descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews and questionnaires. The sample that the writer examines is class VIII with a total of 22 students. According to the data obtained, learning to write descriptive text online with the help of Google Classroom can motivate students, can reduce the time to understand the material and they dare to express opinions.

Abstract

Learning activities must use media that are in accordance with the character of students at the junior high school level, so that they can increase the enthusiasm of students to learn. The reality faced by junior high school students in state schools in Lembang is that students are less enthusiastic in paying attention to the material presented by the teacher. This is due to the absence of the use of images and the delivery of the dominant material using the script. This study intends to explain the impact of the application of dynamic website-based learning media on the material for writing folk poetry in seventh grade junior high school. Qualitative descriptive is the method and approach used in this research. In February 2022 this research was conducted. The data obtained in this research came from questionnaires, quizzes, and observation sheets. The output based on this research tells that, by using dynamic website media that emphasizes the principle of flexibility, it can increase the value and creativity of students in writing folk poetry texts. in writing people's poetry.

Abstract

This article aims to find out the poetic aspects of efony and kakafoni in the poem "Only" by Sapardi Djoko Darmono. The background of this research is because often readers of literary works, especially poetry, cannot understand poetry as a whole because they are not able to interpret and interpret the contents in the poem. The focus of this research is on the poetic aspects of efony and kakafoni in the poem "Only" by Sapardi Djoko Darmono. The purpose of this research is to find out the poetic aspects of efony and kakafoni in the poem "Hanya" by Sapardi Djoko Darmono, so that readers of literary works, especially the poem "Hanya" by Sapardi Djoko Darmono can understand the atmosphere created and can interpret and interpret the poem. In this study, the author uses qualitative research methods through intuitive and analytical approaches. The research techniques used are: reading-listening, classification, and content analysis. The data in this study is the poem "Only" by Sapardi Djoko Darmono. The results of the analysis of the poem "Only" by Sapardi Djoko Darmono in stanzas one and two contain kakafoni, because in both stanzas it describes a situation that is not harmonious and an atmosphere of unpleasant feelings, while in the third stanza there is a unique atmosphere because it describes a mixture of the two atmospheres. , namely efony and kakafoni or a mixture. This is because the second line in the third stanza describes an atmosphere of neglect and sadness, while the first and third lines describe a pleasant atmosphere because there is a meaning of hope for the writer. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aspek puitik secara efoni dan kakafoni dalam puisi “Hanya” karya Sapardi Djoko Darmono. Adanya penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena seringkali para pembaca karya sastra khususnya puisi, tidak dapat memahami puisi secara utuh karena kurang mampu menafsirkan dan menginterpretasi isi yang ada didalam puisi tersebut. Fokus penelitian ini yaitu pada aspek puitik efoni dan kakafoni dalam puisi “Hanya” karya Sapardi Djoko Darmono. Tujuan daripada penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui aspek puitik efoni dan kakafoni dalam puisi “Hanya” karya Sapardi Djoko Darmono, agar para pembaca karya sastra, khususnya puisi “Hanya” karya Sapardi Djoko darmono dapat memahami suasana yang ditimbulkan dan dapat menafsirkan juga menginterpretasi puisi tersebut.Pada penelitian ini penuis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif melalui pendekatan intuitif dan analitik. Teknik penelitian yang ditempuh berupa: baca-simak, Klasifikasi, dan analisis konten. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah puisi “Hanya” karya Sapardi Djoko Darmono. Hasil analisis dari puisi “Hanya” karya Sapardi Djoko Darmono pada bait satu dan dua terdapat kakafoni, karena pada kedua bait tersebut menggambarkan keadaan yang tidak harmonis dan suasana perasaan yang tidak menyenangkan, sedangkan pada bait ke tiga terdapat suasana yang unik karena menggambarkan campuran kedua suasana, yaitu efoni dan kakafoni atau campuran. Hal itu disebabkan karena baris ke dua pada bait ke tiga menggambarkan suasana tak dianggap dan menyedihkan, sementara itu baris ke satu dam ke tiga menggambarakan suasana yang menyenangkan karena terdapat makna adanya harapan bagi sang penulis.

Abstract

The idea of ​​this research was initiated by the fact that there are still many students who have difficulty determining ideas and ideas in producing a review text by selecting the structure and language of the text. The Project-Based Learning learning model is an alternative solution to the learner-centred learning model, namely a learning model that uses projects or activities as a learning tool to achieve attitude, knowledge and skill competencies. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the learning process and the impact of the student's ability to write review texts. The purpose of the research is to determine the ability to write a review text of students using the Project-Based Learning learning model assisted by Wattpad. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative which only has one cycle of processing, data collection and data processing. The results showed that nineteen students got a high score, six students got an adequate score, and one student got a low score. The results of the study can be said that using the Project-Based Learning model can positively affect the learning process and improve students' skills in writing review texts.

Abstract

News text learning is studied at the junior high school education level which conveys news and its delivery. However, news text learning activities are still carried out conventionally so innovation is needed in learning activities. One of them is by using audio-visual based teaching materials in news text writing activities. Audio visual media is an intermediary or display used by teachers in teaching and learning activities where the material is absorbed through sight (images) and hearing (sound). With audio-visual learning media on news text writing skills, it can make students more interested and enthusiastic in learning. News is a report of events published or broadcast in the mass media in the form of facts or ideas, consisting of the 5W+1H elements, and containing news values ​​or journalistic values. The aim of this research is to determine students' responses to the application of audio-visual based teaching materials in news text writing activities. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it is known from the results of the questionnaire that the average obtained is 80.33% in the good category. This means that it can be concluded that students respond well to the use of audio-visual teaching materials in news text writing skills.

Abstract

The learning outcomes of SMPN 3 Ngamprah students in learning Indonesian, especially persuasive text material, received unsatisfactory scores. Students often experience difficulties in building the main ideas of writing and arranging words in writing persuasive texts. The application of the Student Team Achievement Division Cooperative model is expected to help students overcome difficulties in determining words, main ideas, and students' ways of thinking during the learning process. Prior to the use of the learning model, the results of writing persuasive text students obtained scores below the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) but after the application of the STAD type cooperative model student scores increased. Subsequent research uses a qualitative descriptive method, namely collecting data in written form according to facts and objects that are appropriate from the results of the approach taken. This study took a sample of 20 class VIII A students of SMPN 3 Ngamprah. From the results of students' ability to write persuasive texts in this study, an overall score of 1663 was obtained with an average score of 83. 17 students received a score of "Very Good" and 3 students received a score of "Good". The lowest score on student ability results is 77, while the average score is 85, and the highest score is 91. So learning persuasive text material using the Cooperative model type Student Team Achievement Division can be said to be successful.

Abstract

Fable text learning is studied at the SMP level which conveys a picture of human behavior and mind played by animals. Based on the observation of experience that has been done, thisrresearch is motivateddby the limitedduse of teachinggmaterials in classsVII fable texts. Observations in the field found that the teaching materials used were only based on textbooks. This is due to the limitations of the projector in the class. Thus, the purposeewas to find out students' responsessto e-moduletteaching materials assisted by the Canva application in class VII fable text learning. The methoddused is a qualitativeemethod with a descriptiveeapproach. The data collectionntechniqueuused is by providing questionnaires to find out student respondents to teaching materials. The questionnaire consists of 10 statements covering the use of teaching materials, the ease and difficulty of providing e-modules. The population to be taken is class VII students with a total of 28 students' questionnaire assessment using a Likert scale guide 1-4. Based on the resultssof data processinggin thissstudy, student respondents in learning to write fable text using e-moduletteaching materials assisted by the Canvaaapplication received good responses from students SMP 3 Batujajar in class VII.

Abstract

The background of this research refers to the problem of code mixing in speaking skills learning activities at school. The problem of code mixing between Indonesian and Sundanese is an obstacle experienced by students, especially when presenting in class, so several solutions are needed to overcome it. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of memoriter presentations in improving students' speaking abilities. This research used a qualitative descriptive methodology with twenty-two grade 7 students at SMPN 4 Cibinong as research subjects. Data collection was carried out through observations, interviews and classroom actions. Based on the research results, it shows that memoriter presentations are effective in improving speaking skills in class so that the problem of code mixing can be overcome through language instruction when the presentation is made.

Abstract

This research was conducted to investigate issues that arise in reading comprehension, such as difficulties students face in understanding the content of readings, especially novels, as well as difficulties in identifying and searching for the components of 5W+1H (what, where, when, who, why, and how). The research was carried out in the eighth grade of Budi Bakti Utama Junior High School. The aim of this research was to describe the use of the digital fishbone technique in reading instruction and to facilitate the identification of 5W+1H components in novels. The method employed in this study is quantitative descriptive, which aims to provide a clear and objective depiction of the reading comprehension outcomes in a measurable manner. The data collection technique in this research was in the form of a test. As for the data analysis technique, descriptive statistics were used. The results of the research showed that the use of the digital fishbone technique achieved an average score of 19,85 with a percentage of 86.30% categorized as good results. Therefore, reading instruction using the digital fishbone technique with the assistance of Canva can be considered successful, as students were able to achieve above-average percentage scores. These results prove that with the use of the digital fishbone technique, students can more easily comprehend and identify the content of the reading in novels.
