Abstract

This article presents data on drug-induced liver injury events' risk profile due to NAT2 and CYP2E1 polymorphisms in isoniazid metabolism in Indonesian populations among various populations of several countries. The research took place through a review of the literature obtained from google scholar. The library search uses three variants of the keyword: (1) "pharmacogenomic and tuberculosis and INH and NAT2 and CYP2E1 and polymorphism", (2) "isoniazid and hepatotoxicity and polymorphism and N-acetyltransferase," (3) "isoniazid and hepatotoxicity and polymorphism and CYP2E1". Analysis of hepatotoxic risk based on the odds ratio (confidence interval) using Stata MP 14th edition software. The study of drug-induced liver injury events' risk based on various NAT2 acetylation rates involved 2,140 populations from 8 countries, while the risk analysis based on CYP2E1 allele variety involved 1,530 populations from 5 countries. The literature review shows that the Indonesian population's isoniazid-induced liver injury events' risk with slow acetylator NAT2 enzymes and people with CYP2E1*c1/c2 is three times higher than other populations in various countries. Further, people who have the combination slow acetylator NAT2 and CYP2E1*c1/c2 have more drug-induced liver injury events' risk.

The sampling technique is convenience sampling. The population is pharmacists who practice pharmaceutical services and are willing to fill out questionnaires. The result most pharmacists feel they have enough clinical knowledge and experience to provide MTM services. There are still many pharmacist workplaces (Puskesmas, Pharmacies and hospitals) that have not yet prepared to provide MTM services. Pharmacists think they have a desire to provide MTM services and have sufficient access to information in designing appropriate MTM services and pharmacists should be involved in providing MTM services. The obstacles faced by pharmacists in providing MTM services are insufficient time, insufficient human resources, limited space, limited information regarding MTM services, and the costs needed to implement MTM. Pharmacists are willing to provide Medication Therapy Management services but many obstacles remain. Training is needed so that pharmacists become more confident in providing clinical services

Abstract

Inventory management remains a critical issue for hospital pharmacies. Thus, there is a need for pharmaceuticals to meet economic resources. Moreover, the decision to make drug requests available should be considered, and the complexity of the problem lies in the random nature of and the various constraints that must be considered in any decision. This study aimed to analyze drug management during the planning and procurement stages of medicine in a teaching hospital in Yogyakarta. The qualitative method was used to his type of research is descriptive-analytical with a case study design of one of the public, academic hospitals in the Yogyakarta area. Data collection was conducted through interviews using a content analysis approach. The analysis technique was carried out by reducing data, analyzing data, identifying themes, and extracting data interpretation with the help of NVIVO 12 software. Overall, interviews were conducted with six participants to obtain information on drug management during the planning and procurement stages in the hospital, following the standards of home pharmacy services. The stages also included budget allocation by volume of services, increasing the competence of human resources, which supports the improvement of drug management performance, implementation of e-prescribing to facilitate monitoring evaluation, and availability of complete standard operating procedures. However, the accuracy of drug planning still needs to be improved so that an integrated management information system can support optimal drug management in a teaching hospital pharmacy installation. Abstract

The drug distribution process determines the sustainability of drug stocks in pharmaceutical services. It is hoped that the design of an information system for drug procurement and ordering can make the distribution process more effective and efficient. While information systems for drug procurement and ordering exist, they are typically designed for individual distributors. This research aims to design an information system by displaying flowcharts that map the drug procurement and ordering process, and by developing user interfaces that facilitate interaction with the system. The research was carried out through a Literature Review. Reference searches were conducted using the Google Scholar search engine. The keywords used in the keyword search were "pharmaceutical wholesalers AND information system design AND drug procurement" and the references selected were within the last 10 years. The information system design was implemented by creating flowchart diagrams using draw.io software and developing user interface designs using Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2019. The drug procurement and ordering information system can be accessed by PBFs as distributors and pharmacists as consumers. The information system designed is included in the e-Health Commerce Application type, which aims to facilitate the payment process and reduce costs incurred by the health environment. The designed information system can create a more efficient drug distribution process.

Abstract

Modern pharmaceutical services are offered via telepharmacy, an internet platform. Identification of items and factors that influence people's behavioral intentions towards telepharmacy services is needed to develop this service. The study aims to develop a questionnaire based on a research model that combines two well-known theories: the theory of personal health differences (TPHD) and the theory of planned behavior (TPB) technique. The purposive sampling strategy was combined with a cross-sectional observational method. 116 participants who were at least 18 years old were given the questionnaire. Convenience sampling from various population subgroups was used to select them. Data analysis was then conducted using the exploratory factor analysis (EFA). Factors were extracted using varimax rotation and principal component analysis. The results showed that the questionnaire consists of 16 items divided into 5 constructs (attitude and self-efficacy, behavioral intention, subjective norm, personal health status, and personal health value), this study proves that the behavioral intention telepharmacy questionnaire based on personal health differences and planned behavior theory is a reliable and valid measure. It can also draw attention to the many aspects of adoption behavior, helping service providers toward the successful digitalization of pharmaceutical services by fostering telepharmacy literacy. The application of telepharmacy is both a hope and a challenge for pharmacists and society, especially in terms of the intention to provide safe and quality pharmaceutical care.

Abstract

Mangroves are woody plants that thrive in wet, muddy, and brackish water habitats found in tropical and subtropical regions. Mangroves are commonly found in Indonesia. One type of mangrove plant is Acanthus ilicifolius L., which can be utilized for medicinal purposes due to its phytochemical content. The aim of this narrative review is to provide information and an overview of the potential phytochemical and pharmacological activities present in each part of the mangrove plant jeruju, along with the solvents and testing methods used. The method employed in this narrative review involves searching for relevant articles on the internet through databases such as Google Scholar, Springer Open, Science Direct, and PubMed. According to several studies, methanol solvent yields the best results as it extracts the most phytochemical content from the mangrove jeruju. The leaves and stems of the mangrove jeruju are the most researched parts because they are the most dominant and easiest to treat. Research findings indicate that the leaves and stems of the jeruju plant contain the highest amounts of alkaloids, tannins, terpenoids, phenols, and flavonoids, with antimicrobial activity being the most commonly found pharmacological potential.
