Abstract

This study was motivated by several problems due to the students' understanding of multiplication material was still low. The students still have difficulty in distinguishing between examples and non-examples of multiplication, interpreting questions in the form of pictures into multiplication and implementing multiplication in word problems. It is caused by the learning methods that are still conventional, such as using lecture and memorization methods in mathematics learning, so students tend to feel bored and unenthusiastic. This study aims to determine the effect of the fingermath method on students' mathematical understanding of multiplication material toward third grade students at SD Negeri 17 Sungaiselan. This study used a quantitative approach using the True-Experimental Design method, Pretest-Post-test-Only Control Design type. The sampling technique used random sampling technique. The subjects of this were 21 students in the experimental class and 21 students in the control class. Data collection techniques are carried out using tests. Data analysis techniques used the normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using the Independent Samples Test. Based on the results of the normality and homogeneity tests, it can be concluded that the data is normally distributed and the two variances are homogeneous. Meanwhile, the results of the hypothesis test obtained a value of sig < α, namely 0.042 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the fingermath method on the mathematical understanding of third grade students at SD Negeri 17 Sungaiselan

Abstract

Online gambling is now widespread, even among college students. Online slot games fall into the category of gambling that uses money as stakes. In this type of game, players purchase chips to use in betting. Religious literacy serves as a practice that helps individuals understand religious teachings across different cultural settings. Religious literacy encompasses more than just knowledge or skills about the teachings and practices of a particular religion. Technology has become a crucial element in society in this digital age. This study aims to introduce students to religious literacy programs, so that by introducing religious literacy, online gambling can be reduced. Implementing religious literacy among students on campus aims to address negative behavior related to gambling. Religious literacy needs to be taught to students so they can live in today's modern society. The religious literacy movement is an activity that focuses on sources of information related to religion. Religious literacy is closely related to students' religious character. This research is quantitative, providing a religious literacy habituation program for students. Participants in this study consisted of several students from the State Islamic University of Babel (UNMUH Babel). Data collection instruments included observation sheets, interviews, and questionnaires. The research findings indicate an increase in students' understanding of judol (Islamic gambling). This improvement is expected to reduce the likelihood of becoming entangled in online gambling practices in the future.

Abstract

The implementation of the "calistung" (reading, writing, and arithmetic) tutoring aims to enhance students' literacy and numeracy skills. This activity is part of a community service program carried out by two lecturers and students. The purpose of this service is to provide guidance to students in recognizing and mastering the skills of reading, writing, and arithmetic (calistung). The methods used in this service include community situation analysis (initial observation) and work procedures to realize the proposed methods. The activity was held in October 2024, involving 35 tutoring participants. The results of this service show that the tutoring participants gained an improved understanding of the calistung method, ranging from grades 1 to 6. This is reflected in the tutoring material provided, which facilitates their learning in reading, writing, and arithmetic. Additionally, a positive impact is seen in the involvement of parents, who are pleased with the tutoring support provided to their children, strengthening the connection between the tutoring participants and their parents.

Abstract

Community service with a beginner community service scheme carries out outreach activities regarding Classpointi application training for teachers in the independent elementary school learning curriculum. This service is motivated by the lack of ability of STKIP MBB elementary school teachers in using interactive applications to deal with the independent learning curriculum. Therefore, socialization and education activities on the Classpoint application were held for teachers in the independent elementary school learning curriculum. The solution carried out in this service is through the initial observation stage or situation analysis regarding the teacher's understanding and abilities towards interactive applications, the service planning stage, the service implementation stage in the form of classpoint application training for teachers in the independent learning curriculum, precisely implemented at STKIP MBB Elementary School, Pangkalan Baru District, Regency Central Bangka, and the evaluation stage took the form of question and answer activities and guided exercises. The results of community service with socialization and educational activities on the Classpoint application for teachers in the independent primary school learning curriculum can be described in detail according to the stages that have been implemented. These stages include, 1) needs assessment; 2) presentation of material; 3) mentoring; and 4) evaluation.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini berlatarbelakang kurang optimalnya pembelajaran matematika di SDN 14 Kota Pangkalpinang. Hal ini terlihat dari masih rendahnya nilai UN Matematikanya. Selain itu, di SDN 14 Pangkalpinang belum ada arena permainan tradisional yang bersifat edukasi. SDN 14 Pangkalpinang pun merupakan salah satu sekolah yang nilai Ujian Akhirnya masih harus ditingkatkan. Sehingga Tim bermaksud mengembangkan arena permainan serta mensosialisasikan kebermanfaatannya bagi pembelajaran di sekolah. Adapun kegiatan pengabdian ini dibagi menjadi tiga tahapan yaitu (1) Pembuatan arena permainan tradisional; (2) Sosialisasi pemanfaatannya kepada guru dan siswa; (3) Tahap evaluasi kebermanfaatan. Peserta pengabdian yaitu guru dan siswa SDN 14 Pangkalpinang. Lokasi kegiatan yaitu SDN 14 Pangkalpinang Kecamatan Pangkalbalam Kota Pangkalpinang. Letaknya secara geografis yaitu dipinggir kota. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah (1) Arena permainan tradisional di SDN 14 Pangkalpinang; (2) Meningkatnya pemahaman guru terhadap penggunaan permainan tradisional dalam pembelajaran matematika; (3) Responden menyatakan pembelajaran matematika melalui permainan tradisional di SD Negeri 14 pangkalpinang bahwa 50% menyatakan sangat setuju dan 50% menyatakan setuju. Mengenai dampak positif dari penggunaan media permainan tradisional terhadap matematika 46% responden menyatakan sangat setuju dan 54% menyatakan setuju.

Abstract

Literacy and numeracy are important skills of the 21st century. Problems at the elementary level regarding numeracy still need to be developed. This development concerns numeration content and the context of regional culture that need to be included in the questions. This study aims to develop numeracy literacy questions in the cultural context of Bangka Belitung for elementary school students. The research method chosen is development research with the ADDIE development model. The procedure carried out in the Analysis stage is analyzing the SK and KD of fourth grade elementary school in mathematics, analyzing student needs, analyzing the needs of numeracy literacy questions in the 2013 curriculum and the independent curriculum. In the design phase, the researcher made a prototype of numeracy literacy questions in the cultural context of Bangka Belitung. The development stage is validated by material experts and evaluation experts regarding the questions that have been developed. The implementation phase was carried out by small-scale and large-scale tests on the subject of 4th grade elementary school students. The evaluation stage is carried out formative evaluation at each stage of development. The results of the study were 5 questions of numeracy literacy in the cultural context of Bangka Belitung with media expert validation of 87% stating it was valid, evaluation expert validation stating 92% valid. On a small scale, 79% of student responses stated that it was feasible and on a large scale, 82% stated that it was feasible. Test the quality of the items, namely construct validity, it is stated that all items are valid. While reliability is stated as a matter of reliability. This study gives the result that students have difficulty in understanding their literacy. However, on numeracy content, students find it not difficult to do it. When reading the questions students feel proud that some places or foods they know and encounter everyday can be studied in mathematics.
