Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal's leadership management in improving the quality of education at SMP Negeri 60 Palembang. Data collection tools use interview methods, documentation, observation and literature review. Data analysis uses descriptive qualitative analysis with research stages referring to the theory of Miles and Huberman, namely collecting data, data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. The results of the study stated that the leadership management of the head of the educational unit in improving the quality of education at SMP Negeri 60 Palembang has been implemented well through careful planning, organizing school resources, implementation and supervision carried out effectively. Some of the obstacles faced in efforts to improve the quality of learning and competence of teaching staff at SMP Negeri 60 Palembang lie in the aspect of improving the quality of learning and increasing the competence of teaching staff, including the lack of mastery of learning technology and teachers' way of teaching which tends to be monotonous in class, namely always using the lecture method. The solution to several obstacles faced by the principal is through coaching to improve the competence of educators through supervision activities and self-development activities carried out through training and workshop activities and training. Motivate teaching staff to continue their studies at a higher level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profesionalisme guru dalam mengimplementasikan “Kurikulum Merdeka” di SD Negeri 2 Lembak. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualittaif deskriptif. Alat pengumpul data menggunakan dokumentasi, wawancara, observasi dan kajian pustaka. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa guru SD Negeri 2 Lembak dapat menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka dengan baik melalui perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi pembelajaran berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka. Kendala- yang dihadapi guru meliputi keterbatasan sumber daya sekolah, keterampilan guru, adaptasi dan kebutuhan, minat, dan gaya belajar yang beragam. Solusi yang ditempuh dalam mengatasi kendala dengan pelatihan dan pengembangan profesional kepada guru, kolaborasi antara guru, pembinaan dan mentoring malalui peran kepemimpinan yang kuat dalam upaya mendukung menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of teacher professionalism and learning facilities on the quality of education in State Middle Schools in Talang Kelapa District. Teacher professionalism is measured through teacher pedagogical, personality, social and professional competencies, while learning facilities include facilities and infrastructure that support the learning process in schools. This research uses a quantitative method with a survey approach, involving a sample of teachers and students in State Middle Schools throughout Talang Kelapa District. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression to test the influence of independent variables on the quality of education. The research results show that teacher professionalism and learning facilities have a positive and significant influence on the quality of education. This indicates that increasing teacher professionalism and providing adequate learning facilities can improve the quality of education in schools. Therefore, it is hoped that there will be improvements in these two aspects in order to achieve better quality education in State Middle Schools throughout Talang Kelapa District.

Abstract

The purpose seof this study is to analyze how the implementation of conflict management in overcoming violations of school rules at SMP YPI Tunas Bangsa Palembang. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data sources in this study include primary data collected from principals, teachers, employees, and students of SMP YPI Tunas Bangsa Palembang and secondary data collected from books, theses, theses, documentation of SMP YPI Tunas Bangsa Palembang. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews and documentation. Data validity tests in this study include credibility, dependability, and confirmability tests. While data analysis techniques in this study include transcripts of interview results, data reduction, analysis, data interpretation and triangulation. The result of this study is the implementation of conflict management in overcoming violations of school rules at SMP YPI Tunas Bangsa Palembang consisting of student conflict factors, teacher conflict factors, parent factors, family factors, student character factors, student factors in class, homeroom factors, student home distance factors, school rules factors, problem factors from home and factors related to violations of school rules. In conclusion, the implementation of conflict management in overcoming violations of school rules at YPI Tunas Bangsa Middle School in Palembang consists of conflicts between students and students, students and teachers, teachers and teachers, students and homeroom teachers, parents of students and the school. Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of leadership behavior and work motivation of school principals on the quality of teacher teaching. This research was carried out at Public Middle Schools in West Prabumulih District which consists of 2 (two) schools, namely Public Middle School 9 Prabumulih and Public Middle School 4 Prabumulih. The time used to conduct this research is 4 (four) months, namely December 2023 to March 2024. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach. The population in this study was 116 people consisting of teachers, school principals, and community leaders. After calculating using the Slovin formula, the number of samples in this study was 90 people. Data collection techniques in this research are questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Instrument testing uses validity and reliability tests. Test the analysis prerequisites using the Normality Test, Homogeneity Test, and Linearity Test. Data analysis uses an Inferential Statistical Test, Multiple Linear Regression, t-test (partial), F-test (simultaneous), and coefficient of determination. The results of this research show that the principal's leadership behavior and work motivation together have a significant effect on the teaching quality of teachers in State Middle Schools in West Prabumulih District. A significance value of 0.00 was obtained, which means it is smaller than 0.05. The influence of all independent variables on the quality of teacher teaching is 92.2% and the remaining 7.8% is influenced by other variables not examined in this research. The conclusion is that the principal's leadership behavior and work motivation influence the quality of teacher teaching. Keywords: Leadership Behavior; Teaching Quality; Work motivation

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of teacher work motivation, work climate, and principal leadership on the performance of public elementary school teachers in Mesuji District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The type of research used in this study is descriptive research, namely research that aims to describe or explain something according to reality. The approach used in this study is quantitative, namely research that focuses more on the accuracy of the description of each variable and the accuracy of the influence between one variable and another. This research was conducted in Mesuji District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, with the subjects of this research being teachers of Public Elementary Schools conducted in Mesuji District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency with a sample size of 63 respondents. The data used were data from questionnaires and interviews. For the questionnaire instrument trial, a trial was conducted on teachers at four schools in Mesuji District: SDN 1 Pematang Panggang, SDN 2 Pematang Panggang, SDN 1 Sido Basuki, and SDN 1 Pematang Bongor. The validity and reliability were then analyzed using the Statistics Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 17.0 application. From the multiple linear regression test using the SPSS version 17.0 application on the questionnaire results, it was found that there was a positive relationship between the independent variables, namely work motivation, work climate, principal leadership, and the performance of state elementary school teachers in Mesuji District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The results of the determination coefficient test show that teacher performance can be explained by the variables of teacher work motivation (X1), work climate (X2) and principal leadership (X3) by 65.6%. While the remaining 34.4% of teacher performance (Y) can be explained by other variables that are not studied. As a conclusion of this study is that there is a significant positive influence between teacher work motivation, work climate and principal leadership on teacher performance in the teaching and learning process at Public Elementary Schools in Mesuji District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh empowering leadership dan self-efficacy terhadap kinerja guru di Sekolah Dasar Negeri se-Kecamatan Lubuk Besar. Kinerja guru merupakan salah satu faktor kunci dalam peningkatan kualitas pendidikan, dan empowering leadership serta self-efficacy dipandang sebagai variabel penting yang memengaruhi kinerja tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan surve dan teknik analisis regresi berganda untuk menguji pengaruh kedua variabel independen terhadap kinerja guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa empowering leadership memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru, di mana guru yang dipimpin dengan gaya kepemimpinan yang memberdayakan menunjukkan kinerja yang lebih baik. Selain itu, self-efficacy juga terbukti berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru, di mana guru dengan tingkat self-efficacy yang tinggi menunjukkan kinerja yang lebih baik dalam menghadapi tantangan di kelas. Pengujian simultan menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel tersebut secara bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pengembangan kepemimpinan yang memberdayakan di sekolah-sekolah dasar serta perlunya program yang mendukung peningkatan self-efficacy guru. Dengan demikian, diharapkan bahwa penguatan kedua faktor ini dapat meningkatkan kinerja guru secara keseluruhan, yang pada akhirnya akan berdampak positif terhadap kualitas pendidikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis strategi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru kelas III dalam menyusun dan menerapkan bahan ajar, metode ajar, dan media ajar berbasis pembelajaran berpusat pada siswa (student-centered learning) pada Kurikulum Merdeka di SD Negeri 01 Betung. Penelitian ini mengkaji strategi tersebut baik secara terpisah maupun simultan, serta membandingkan keterampilan profesional guru sebelum dan sesudah penerapan pembelajaran berpusat pada siswa. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menguraikan faktor pendukung dan hambatan dalam pelaksanaan strategi kepala sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak tiga guru kelas III pada tahun ajaran 2025–2026. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan, serta pengecekan keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru meliputi pelaksanaan rapat awal dan akhir semester, workshop, supervisi dan evaluasi pembelajaran, penyediaan fasilitas penunjang, pendampingan oleh guru senior, pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK), serta kegiatan peer teaching. Strategi tersebut berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa. Faktor pendukung meliputi tingkat pendidikan guru yang tinggi, kemampuan mengajar yang baik, serta sarana dan prasarana yang memadai, sedangkan faktor penghambat utama adalah usia guru senior yang mendekati masa purna tugas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal’s leadership strategies in improving the quality of education at SMA PGRI 2 Palembang, focusing on planning, implementation, challenges, and evaluation aspects. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving key informants, including the principal, vice principal, and teachers. The findings reveal that leadership strategies were implemented through short-term and long-term program planning, enhancing teacher competence through training and academic supervision, and applying participatory and transparent school management. The implementation of these strategies contributed to improvements in teacher performance, instructional effectiveness, and school governance quality. However, several challenges were identified, including limited infrastructure, budget constraints, and uneven teacher adaptation to educational technology. Overall, the findings indicate that most leadership strategies were effectively implemented in supporting educational quality improvement. This study concludes that innovative, participatory, and collaborative leadership plays a significant role in enhancing educational quality. The implication of this study highlights the importance of strengthening leadership capacity and providing sustainable institutional support to ensure continuous improvement in education quality. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SMA PGRI 2 Palembang, meliputi aspek perencanaan, pelaksanaan, kendala, dan evaluasi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi dengan informan utama kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi kepemimpinan dilaksanakan melalui penyusunan program kerja jangka pendek dan jangka panjang, peningkatan kompetensi guru melalui pelatihan dan supervisi, serta penerapan manajemen sekolah yang partisipatif dan transparan. Implementasi strategi tersebut berdampak pada peningkatan kinerja guru, efektivitas pembelajaran, serta kualitas tata kelola sekolah. Meskipun demikian, masih terdapat kendala berupa keterbatasan sarana prasarana, keterbatasan anggaran, dan adaptasi teknologi pembelajaran yang belum merata di kalangan guru. Secara keseluruhan, temuan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar strategi kepemimpinan berjalan efektif dalam mendukung peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang inovatif, partisipatif, dan kolaboratif memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Implikasinya, diperlukan penguatan kapasitas kepemimpinan dan dukungan sistem sekolah yang berkelanjutan.
