Abstract

Abstract

Tuberculosis is a global health problem, and there is even an increase in cases of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis in the world. Therefore, research is needed that can find new anti-tuberculosis drugs (OAT) that are more effective for tuberculosis treatment. In this study, the effect of (-)-epigallocatechin-gallate (EGCG) of tea leaves (Camellia sinensis) combined with the first-line OAT will be observed, in order to find out whether EGCG has anti-tuberculosis activity and can increase the potential of first-line OAT in-vitro. The anti-tuberculosis activity of EGCG was determined by broth dilution method using Middlebrook 7H9 media at concentration of 50, 100, 150, dan 200 ppm, then the potential of first-line OAT before and after combined with the EGCG was observed. The results showed that the activity of EGCG at concentration 50 ppm and 100 ppm could inhibit the Mycobacterium tuberculosis growth by 80%, at concentration 150 ppm by 90%, and at concentration 200 ppm by 100%. First-line OAT activity before combined with EGCG was ≥ 90% at 5 ppm rifampicin, 0.5 ppm isoniazid, 50 ppm pyrazinamide, and 5 ppm ethambutol. Whereas after combined with EGCG, the potential of each drug increased, marked by anti-tuberculosis activity achieved ≥ 90% at lower concentrations, i.e. rifampicin 0.5 ppm, isoniazid 0.25 ppm, pyrazinamide 20 ppm, and ethambutol 2 ppm. These results indicated that the potential of each first-line OAT increases after being combined with EGCG, and EGCG has potentiation effect when combined with those drugs. In conclusion, EGCG can increase the first-line OAT activity

Abstract

Logistics inefficiencies, particularly in export-import operations, remain a persistent issue in emerging markets such as Indonesia, where infrastructure constraints and high port congestion exacerbate delivery delays and empty truck returns. Existing strategies often fail to address the combined challenges of route inefficiency, asset underutilization, and lead time variability. This study investigates the effectiveness of Truck Triangulation as a strategic logistics intervention to reduce delivery inefficiencies by optimizing truck routes and fleet utilization in the context of export-import operations at global logistics company in Jakarta. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining qualitative insights from focus group discussions with logistics managers and operational staff, and quantitative performance data analyzed. The study compared key performance indicators before and after the implementation of truck triangulation, including lead time, fleet turnover, and operational cost. The findings validate Truck Triangulation as an effective, scalable logistics model for export-import operations in infrastructure-constrained markets. This research contributes to practice by demonstrating how lean routing strategies and digital coordination can drive logistics performance and sustainability in emerging economies.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a strategic agenda for organizations to enhance competitiveness, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability. However, the success of digital transformation projects largely depends on the effectiveness of project management and the organization’s project management maturity level. This study aims to analyze the maturity level of project management and its role in improving the effectiveness and sustainability of digital transformation projects in PT XYZ, a company in the Indonesian telecommunication sector. A mixed-method approach was applied: qualitative data were obtained through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with key stakeholders and analyzed using NVivo software, while quantitative analysis utilized secondary company data related to project performance. Project maturity was assessed using the Project Management Maturity Model (PMMM), supported by CMMI and COBIT 2019 frameworks. The results show that PT XYZ’s maturity level is at 2.4 (repeatable–defined), indicating partially defined but insufficiently standardized processes. Key issues include undocumented baseline scope, reactive cost control, unrealistic schedules, and inconsistent quality assurance practices. The findings highlight that maturity level mediates the relationship between project effectiveness and digital transformation success. The study contributes theoretically by integrating maturity level and sustainable project effectiveness within the digital transformation context, and practically by offering strategic recommendations on process standardization, human resource development, digital tool optimization, cost control, governance, and quality assurance.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to develop a strategy for prioritizing information technology (IT) development projects that align with the operational objectives and resource limitations of Bank BRI. Methodology/approach – The research adopts a mixed-methods approach. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is employed to determine the priority weight of each IT project based on five key criteria: customer acquisition, service quality, regulatory compliance, product innovation, and operational efficiency. Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) are conducted with key stakeholders to validate findings and identify implementation barriers. Root cause analysis using Why-Why and Fishbone Diagrams is performed to uncover underlying issues in project delays and prioritization gaps. Findings – It was found that projects contributing to increased transactions and customer base receive the highest priority. However, FGD findings reveal that implementation often diverges from analytical priority due to resource constraints, unclear scope, and lack of filtering mechanisms. A set of strategies is proposed to improve project filtering, resource allocation, and inter-unit coordination. Novelty/value – This research introduces an integrated prioritization framework combining AHP with stakeholder validation and root cause analysis, offering a practical approach to IT project governance in banking institutions. The model enhances decision-making beyond weight-based ranking by incorporating real-world constraints and institutional readiness.

Abstract

Abstract – This study was motivated by sales’ volume decline of imported cargo and customers number of a shipping company in Jakarta (PT.BX) in the last two years. This contradicted with the Ministry of Trade data showing imports increases in that period. Countermeasures have been taken through priced reduction, nevertheless, complaints persist and the decline continues. This quantitative research applied statistical descriptive technique using ServQual and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) tools. Questionnaire was prepared based on five ServQual dimensions (tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy) detailed to be 25 indicators from which 31 respondents (customers) provided their feedbacks. The reliability test shows that each dimension has a Cronbach alpha above 0.6, indicating that the instrument produces consistent and stable results, making the data reliable. The results of this research showed negative gaps in all ServQual dimensions, with the Reliability dimension having the highest gap (-1.54) and the lowest Empathy dimension (-0.58). The IPA provides results in which seven indicators were identified as priorities for improvement in quadrant I, including adequate parking, sufficient number of staff, simple service procedures, staff ability to provide explanations, staff ability to handle problems, responsiveness in processing complaints, and providing correct answers to customers. In summary, this research confirms operational problems required corrective actions on the prioritized attributes.
