Abstract

Children of Indonesian Migrant Workers face various challenges, especially limited access to formal education, which impacts the development of their social and leadership skills. This service activity aims to increase children's courage, communication skills, and leadership through speech and ceremony training per the 1945 Constitution. The method used is non-formal education with a workshop approach and hands-on practice with around 30 migrant worker children. The training is held every Friday with a rotating system, allowing children to practice public speaking and expressing opinions. Evaluation was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation of activities. The results showed significant improvements in public speaking confidence, organization of ideas, and interpersonal communication skills. This activity is effective in helping to develop the soft skills of children of migrant workers. For sustainability, increasing volunteers, collaborating with the government and NGOs, and developing a more structured non-formal education model is recommended.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a service website for Rumah Jahit Dini to improve service effectiveness and efficiency for customers. The system was developed using the iterative prototyping method, where development is carried out incrementally based on direct user feedback. The website includes features such as service ordering, product information, catalog browsing, and administrative data management. A qualitative descriptive approach was applied, supported by UML-based system modeling tools. To validate system functionality, black box testing was conducted. The results indicate that the developed web-based information system successfully addresses the limitations of the previous manual service process and enhances both accessibility and customer satisfaction with the services provided by Rumah Jahit Dini.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to measure the influence of waqf literacy, relative advantage, religiosity, and attitude on waqf intention among Generation Z, specifically Muslim university students in Indonesia. The respondents were 505 Gen-Z students, specifically Muslim students born between 1996 and 2012 in Indonesia who have ever donated to waqf, with primary data collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) technique. In addition, the data were also analyzed using maqashid sharia theory to see the impact of waqf benefits on individuals and society in general. The results show that waqf literacy, perceived benefits of waqf activities, and religiosity level positively contribute to individuals' attitudes towards waqf, influencing Generation Z's intention to participate in waqf activities. As a form of charity derived from the Prophet Muhammad's sunnah, waqf is essential in achieving the maqashid, particularly in protecting wealth (hifz al-mal) and improving social welfare. Therefore, increasing waqf literacy through programs such as the Indonesian Waqf Awareness Movement (GISWAF), as well as improving convenience, accessibility, and regulatory clarity in waqf practices, are proposed to strengthen positive attitudes towards waqf and encourage greater participation of Generation Z in waqf activities.
