Abstract

Tagline iklan dipilih karena menjadi sebuah ikon bahasa suatu produk yang bersifat unik, mudah diingat, dan menjadi ciri khas jati diri produk yang bersifat persuasif kepada khalayak sebagai konsumen. Iklan dengan audio dan visual menjadi daya tarik tersendiri bagi konsumen, khususnya mahasiswa yang tidak pernah lepas dari media elektronik. Dengan menggunakan media iklan yang familiar dengan kehidupan mahasiswa disertai contoh penerapa sintaksis dengan berbagai pola strukturnya dapat menjadi alternatif media dalam pembelajaran sintaksis di perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur klausa pada tagline iklan pada media televisi kan kanal youtube. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data berupa kutipan klausa dan kalimat sederhana (tunggal) pada iklan makanan yang terdapat pada media televisi dan kanal youtube Indonesia. Sumber data yaitu iklan makanan yang terdapat pada media televisi dan kanal youtube Indonesia. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan metode simak, catat, dan mentranskripsikan data lisan ke data tulis. Pada tagline iklan ditemukan penggunaan klausa yang terdiri atas klausa bebas (kalausa lengkap), klausa tidak lengkap, dan klausa terikat. Namun, yang paling sering digunakan yaitu klausa bebas. Berdasarkan kategori yang menduduki fungsi predikat terdapat klausa verbal, nominal, dan adjektiva. Sedangkan yang paling sering digunakan yaitu klausa verbal.Kata kunci: tagline iklan, media pembelajaran, pembelajaran sintaksis

Abstract

Language functions as a means of communication used by humans to convey goals, ideas, ideas, emotions, and feelings to others. This research aims to identify and describe the types of illocutionary speech acts contained in the short film “Lemantun”. This research is categorized as descriptive qualitative research. The data source for this research comes from all the speech acts contained in the short film “Lemantun”. The data analyzed includes pieces of speech allegedly containing illocutionary speech acts from the short film “Lemantun”. The data collection method used in this research is the technique of free listening and note taking. The data source utilized is the short film “Lemantun” by utilizing the analysis of speech act types according to Searle, which includes representative, directive, expressive, commissive, and declarative. This article can be useful for students because it provides knowledge about the types of illocutionary speech acts, so it is hoped that students can identify various types of illocutionary speech acts in daily activities.

Abstract

Indonesian literature has various types, ranging from poetry, prose, to drama, which reflect the nation's culture and values. As the successor of the nation, the younger generation has an obligation to maintain and develop Indonesian literature. However, due to technological developments and the influence of foreign cultures, the interest of the younger generation in literature is often overlooked. Therefore, it is important to understand how literature affects human life. Literature is an important part of Indonesian culture that reflects the nation's history, values, and identity. In this modern era, literature plays a major role in shaping the character and insight of the younger generation (Scott, 2014). However, with the challenges of digitization and a shift in interest in instant content, literature must change to remain relevant. This study uses a qualitative approach. Therefore, it is very important that the younger generation plays an important role in cultivating Indonesian literature which is very beautiful and has a lot of artistic diversity. The attention of the younger generation to literature is often distracted in the challenging digital era. Therefore, it is very important to develop new ways of delivering literature, such as using digital platforms and holding interesting literacy programs. If the community, teachers, and the government work together, Indonesian literature can remain relevant and interesting for the younger generation. This will allow them to become agents of change that can preserve and develop Indonesia's literary wealth in the future.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis relevansi dan dinamika penggunaan mantra serta doa laut Suku Bajau di Pulau Maratua di tengah pengaruh modernisasi, islamisasi, dan perkembangan teknologi. Sebagai komunitas maritim, masyarakat Bajau memaknai mantra dan doa laut sebagai media sakral untuk perlindungan, keselamatan, dan hubungan spiritual dengan laut, namun perubahan sosial menyebabkan pergeseran fungsi dan makna tradisi tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain etnolinguistik melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi terhadap tetua adat, nelayan, tokoh agama, serta generasi muda. Data dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman dengan triangulasi teknik dan sumber untuk menjaga validitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan mantra dan doa mengalami transformasi dari praktik magis menuju praktik religius serta simbol identitas budaya,  penggunaannya kini lebih banyak dijumpai dalam ritual tertentu seperti sedekah laut dan mandi safar dibanding aktivitas melaut sehari-hari. Generasi tua masih memaknai doa sebagai pelindung sakral, sedangkan generasi muda lebih menempatkannya sebagai bagian dari tradisi dan etika bermaritim. Faktor pelestarian meliputi identitas etnis, ritual kolektif, dan dokumentasi akademik, sementara faktor pergeseran mencakup islamisasi, teknologi navigasi modern, dan globalisasi. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa tradisi mantra dan doa laut tidak hilang, melainkan bertransformasi menjadi praktik religius-sosial yang meneguhkan identitas Bajau. Pelestarian tradisi memerlukan dokumentasi berkelanjutan, pewarisan antargenerasi, serta integrasi pengetahuan budaya ke dalam pendidikan dan media digital.

Abstract

The film Sore: Istri dari Masa Depan (2025) presents a representation of masculinity that differs from the dominant patterns commonly found in mainstream Indonesian cinema. The male protagonist, Jonathan, is not portrayed as a stable, heroic, or authoritative figure, but rather as a vulnerable individual experiencing an identity crisis and in need of self-reflection to achieve independence. This study analyses how Jonathan’s masculinity is constructed through visual and narrative signs in the film, using Roland Barthes’ semiotic approach. The research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical design. Primary data were obtained through close viewing of scenes, dialogues, gestures, and visual elements in the film, while secondary data were collected from relevant literature on semiotics, film studies, and masculinity studies. The analysis applies Barthes’ three levels of meaning denotation, connotation, and myth, and is further enriched by R.W. Connell’s perspective on hegemonic masculinity. The findings indicate that the film deconstructs the myth of hegemonic masculinity that emphasises absolute independence, emotional control, and dominance, and instead offers an alternative masculinity that values vulnerability, self-awareness, and a commitment to a healthy lifestyle as new forms of strength. Thus, Sore: Istri dari Masa Depan not only represents individual transformation but also reflects a broader shift in the discourse on masculinity within contemporary Indonesian socio-cultural contexts.

Abstract

Bullying is one of the serious social problems in the school environment, especially at the Junior High School (SMP) level. Bullying behavior not only affects students' academic achievement but also threatens mental health and character formation. Unfortunately, learning in schools often does not explicitly touch on this issue. This study aims to design and implement interactive learning media based on storyboards in drama learning as an educational effort to increase students' awareness of bullying. The method used is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of the study were grade VIII junior high school students who were involved in making storyboards with the theme of bullying and implementing drama simulations. The results of the study showed that the use of storyboards as interactive media was able to increase participation, understanding of the storyline, and build empathy and courage in students in dealing with bullying issues. Drama simulations are an effective means for students to express ideas reflectively and contextually. This study recommends the integration of interactive media and acting in the curriculum as a contextual learning strategy that not only educates but also shapes students' character as a whole.Keyword: bullying, storyboard, drama, interactive media, contextual learning
