Abstract

Piezoelektrik adalah material yang menghasilkan energi listrik berdasarkan pengaruh tekanan yang diberikan. Pada penelitian ini piezoelektrik diaplikasikan dengan memanfaatkan tekanan air hujan, hal ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi penggunaan listrik dari pemerintah untuk skala kecil di rumah tangga. Bahan dasar yang digunakan dalam membuat piezoelektrik adalah baking soda, distilled water dan cream of tartar. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menentukan ukuran cetakan piezoelektrik yang terbaik menggunakan CAD Code, yaitu 1 x 1 x 0.5 cm3. Selanjutnya dilakukan pembuatan material piezoelektrik dengan mereaksikan beberapa bahan, lalu hasilnya diuji dengan multimeter digital dan osciloscop. Hasil tegangan pada osciloscop berurutan dari tekanan rendah, normal dan tinggi adalah 0.104 DC Volt, 0.496 DC Volt, dan 0.720 DC Volt. Setelah didapatkan hasil tegangan selanjutnya, dilakukan pembuatan rangkaian listrik seri dan menghasilkan tegangan sebesar 2.0 DC Volt, 2.10 DC Volt dan 2.34 DC Volt. Kemudian dibuat rangkaian listrik dan pengujian model piezoelektrik agar dapat diketahui kinerja piezoelektrik pada sistem.Kata kunci : energi, curah hujan, desain, piezoelektrik, pengujian

Abstract

Harmonik  arus  maupun  harmonik  tegangan  adalah  salah  satu  permasalahan yang umum terjadi dalam suatu sistem tenaga yang memiliki komponen berupa beban non-linier. Harmonik arus maupun harmonik tegangan dapat mempengaruhi kestabilan dari sistem tenaga dan memberikan dampak yang buruk untuk komponen kelistrikan yang lainnya, Oleh karena itu diperlukan suatu langkah yang perlu dilakukan untuk meminimalisir dampak buruk dari kasus tersebut salah satunya adalah dengan menggunakan filter pasif. Tujuan penelitian ini akan melakukan desain model High-Pass Damped Filter dengan menggunakan data yang didapatkan dari hasil pengukuran dan simulasi menggunakan ETAP Program, sehingga dapat diketahui seberapa besar pengaruh high-pass damped filter dalam mereduksi harmonik arus dan tegangan yang terdapat dalam sistem untuk menganalisis perancangan filter untuk beban FL-2 pada PL-LB/1.

Abstract

Perkembangan  dan  penggunaan  energi  nuklir  saat  ini  berkembang  sangat  pesat,  untuk  mencapaiteknologi  yang  semakin  maju,  baik  dari  segi  desain,  faktor  ekonomi  dan  juga  faktorkeselamatannya.  Dari  aspek  termofluida   reaktor  nuklir  harus  dilakukan  dengan  perhitungan  dankondisi  yang  mendekati  sempurna.  Termasuk  saat  ini  mulai  dikembangkannya  reaktor  nuklirdengan daya rendah dibawah 300 MW, atau biasa disebut dengan Small Modular Reactor (SMR).Salah  satunya  adalah  CAREM-25  yang  dikembangkan  oleh  Argentina  dengan  daya  25  MW.Dimana pada CAREM sudah menggunakan sistem natural circulation dan penggunaan nanofluidasebagai fluida pendingin. Dalam penelitian ini akan dilakukan pemodelan analitik termohidrolikareaktor nuklir CAREM-25 ketika digunakan nanofluida Al2O3 sebagai fluida pendingin di sistempendingin reaktor nuklir. Selanjutnya untuk pemodelan analitik ini akan dilakukan pada CFD Code.

Abstract

Kontroler PID merupakan alat pengontrol yang paling efektif dalam penerapanteknologi. Namun, dalam penerapan tersebut sering menjadikan kendala, karena dilakukansecara manual dan memerlukan waktu yang lama. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu untukmembahas kinerja optimasi sistem hybrid pada sistem energi pembangkit listrik diesel dengantenaga angin dan membandingkan respon sistem   antara metode PID – PSO dengan metodePID – Firefly, khususnya pada overshoot. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dengan optimaltuning  berbasis algoritma Particle Swarm Optimization  (PSO) menggunakan Matlab Code,untuk sistem waktu  tunda  tertentu. Desain kontrol PID untuk sistem dengan waktu  tundatidaklah mudah. PID berbasis PSO mempunyai kelebihan dalam implementasinya stabil.Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu sistem ᮮontrol PID berbasis PSO ini memiliki kinerjarespon sistem yang baik dibandingkan metode PID – Firefly. Kata kunci : PID, PSO, Matlab, PID-Firefly

Abstract

  Suatu pabrik akan berjalan dengan lancar dan lebih efektif jika fasilitas yang ada didalam pabrik tertata sesuai dengan hubungan kedekatan antar masing- masing fasilitas dengan tujuan agar proses produksi berjalan dengan baik. Pada penelitian sebelumnya telah dilakukan penelitian tentang penataan fasilitas pabrik terhadap CV. Banua dengan menggunakan software blokplan berdasarkan produk layout akan tetpi hasil yang didapat belum memuaskan. Untuk mendapatkan penataan fasilitas yang sesuai alur proses dan meminimasi adanya gerakan bolak balik maka peneliti melakukan penataan fasilitas produksi dengan menggunakan metode alqoritma. Selain penataan fasilitas, peneliti juga memberikan inputan database system informasi manajemen kepada pemilik untuk pendata dengan menggunakan Microsoft excel dan Microsoft access  Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat dengan meggunakan alqoritma corelap didapat desain layout baru dimana lebih mempertimbangan hubungan kedekatan dan meminimasi keterlambatan. Selain itu dengan adanya database informasi pendataan bahan-  bahan yang digunakan dalam produksi sangat membantu pemilik dalam mengontrol setiap bahan yang dikelaurkan dan berapa pemakaiannya serta pendataan untuk stok barang jadi juga tertata dengan rapi. Abstract

Fuel and chemical cargo are essential tools for national security. There is the potential for fire and environmental pollution when occurring an accident such as a collision or overturning. On the other hand, cases of cargo theft are also reported frequently. Currently, preventive efforts are carried out by attaching warnings to the vehicle body with stickers, but it is a passive method. Therefore, this article presents a design and application for monitoring vehicles in real-time with Electronic Tracking Control Systems (ETCS). If the vehicle speed is more than 60 km/hour, ETCS will send an SMS to the vehicle owner about the speed and location of the vehicle being monitored. With ETCS, vehicle accidents and misuse can be minimized by quick monitoring and communication between the owner and the driver.

Abstract

The use of nanoparticle coolant fluid in the car radiator increases the rate of heat transfer and facilitates the reduction of the overall radiator size. In this study, heat transfer characteristics of tri-hybrid nanofluids-based water/EG (60:40) were analyzed experimental and compared with water/EG (60:40). Four different nanofluids concentrations were prepared by adding 0.05 to 0.3 vol.% of tri-hybrid nanofluids dispersed a mixture of water/ethylene glycol (60:40). Experiments were carried out by varying the flow rate of coolant between 2 to 12 LPM for working temperature of 70 °C, the velocity of airflow remained at an average of 4 m/s, to understand the effect of coolant flow rate on heat transfer. The results showed that the thermal performance of tri-hybrid nanofluids in a water/EG (60:40) mixture has been investigated for volume concentrations of up to 0.3% and working temperature of 70 °C. The maximum enhancement of heat transfer coefficient for air side is observed up to 23.8% at 0.05% volume concentration meanwhile for coolant side is observed at 39.7% at 0.3% volume concentration. The pressure drop and pumping power have the same pattern which increasing in volume concentrations.

Abstract

The performance of an automotive air-conditioning (AAC) system is influenced by a variety of operating conditions. This can be addressed by employing optimization techniques that can suggest the appropriate parameters for the best results. In this study, the optimum operating conditions for a composite nanolubricants-fuelled AAC system were investigate using Taguchi's design of experiment approach and analysis of variance (ANOVA). The motor speed value, initial refrigerant charge, and composite nanolubricants composition ratio were chosen as operating parameters to investigate the AAC system performance, focusing on the coefficient of performance (COP) and compressor work. Orthogonal arrays (ORs) L25 (56) was selected to determine the optimum operating parameters of the AAC system. The optimum values for speed, refrigerant mass, and composition ratio were determined to be A4B1C5 (60:40, 900 rpm and 155 g), respectively. The motor speed was the significant factor influencing both COP and compressor performance by 78.13% and 89.29%. A confirmation test was conducted with the optimum levels of AAC system parameters to verify the efficiency of the Taguchi optimization method. The validation between the optimization results and the experimental results yielded a maximum error of 9.85%, indicating that the findings of this investigation were acceptable.

Abstract

Some of the damage that occurs in the structure and construction of engine elements that experience dynamic loading at the time of operation is caused by fatigue (fatigue), which occurs without beginning signs so that it causes great damage and loss. Fatigue strength is the process of local changes in the structure that occur permanently in accordance with the period of time caused by conditions where stress or strain occurs which results in cracks or fractures after being subjected to repetitive loads. Surface roughness factors that affect fatigue are applied in the analysis and application of machining, which are finely grinded and rough machined. Analysis was carried out on 6063-TF aluminum alloy material which is widely used for motor vehicles. To find out the effect of the above, the fatigue strength test is carried out with a Rotary Bending Fatique Test to obtain a cycle value or fatigue age and certain neighbors so that it can make a semi-log S-N diagram with statistical calculations.

Abstract

Along with the times, every human level and life will be upgraded automatically. Likewise, the company if it does not adjust to the times, it will be difficult to adjust. As with the production process, there will be differences from time to time. From time immemorial, doing work manually, and in the present era using technological tools. Lifting the car seat manually makes the operator complain of pain, due to the high production volume. To eliminate the complaints from these operators, a proposed tool design was made. The method used is Axiomatic House of Quality. In general, Axiomatic Design can help the product development process be more structured with a focus on design that fits the function of the product. The first step in this research is to collect input from customers. Then after getting input from the customer, it is converted into a customer attribute. Then, develop the concept by making several alternatives based on the combination table. Next, determine the design that will be used and carry out testing and coordinate with the user, namely the assembly operator. Finally, determine the specifications and final design of the tool for lifting a seat whose load exceeds the lifting standard. The results of this study are in the form of a design tool for lifting the seat which is expected to reduce complaints of pain to the operator. So that this design design makes the company a consideration for implementation.
