Abstract

This article aims to shed light on Abu's (a Dayah leader in Aceh) paradigm and strategy in reorienting Islamic education inside the dayah educational framework in the last two decades. Even now, the Acehnese people's socio-religious life still accepts and includes the traditional Islamic educational institution known as dayah. However, Dayah must adapt to the dynamics of the changing times to ensure its graduates to participate more fully in society. The Dayah in West-South and East-North coasts of Aceh are the subjects of this qualitative study using a multi-site case study. They are Dayah Asasul Islamiyah in East Aceh, Dayah Madinatuddiniyah Nurul Huda in North Aceh, Dayah Madinatuddiniyah Darul 'Ulumiddin in Southwest Aceh, and Dayah Darussalam Labuhan Haji in South Aceh. The research data was gathered through purposeful-snowballing in-depth interviewing techniques with a variety of informants, including Abu as the dayah's leader. After that, the data is processed using interactive analytic procedures, which include condensing, presenting, and concluding. According to the study's findings, Aceh's dayah leaders' (Abu) paradigm has shifted from being exclusive and orthodox to being inclusive and flexible during the dayah's current period of development. The Mua'dalah programme and the higher education programme Ma'had Aly were both implemented as part of Abu's strategy to reorient Islamic education in dayah, as well as the training of human resources to become educators,

Abstract

This research aims to generate integrated mathematics questions aligned with the Islamic values at al mawarits, enabling an examination of the correlation between fraction material in mathematics and the knowledge of mawarits. The research type employed is development utilizing the Teesmer model, consisting of four development stages: the preliminary stage (preparation), the self-evaluation stage (analysis and design), the prototyping stage (validation, revision, evaluation), and the field test stage. The research was conducted at a private junior high school. The results of this study indicate in terms of question difficulty (1 difficult, 6 moderate, and 3 easy questions). For item discrimination, 2 questions are very good, 6 questions are good, and 1 question is moderate. Moreover, regarding the validity level, the developed integrated mathematics questions with Islamic values of al mawarits obtained a validity score of 0.90 and a reliability score of 0.92, indicating that the developed questions are reliable.

Abstract

The development of a computer-based information system aims to replace the inefficient manual system in managing student data. This system was designed using Microsoft Visual BASIC 6.0 and Microsoft Access 2007 to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness of the student registration process. The methodology includes needs analysis, system design, implementation, and user training phases. The results indicate that the new system significantly reduces data processing time, improves information retrieval speed, and minimizes the risk of manual errors. The system comprises modules for data input, report management, and data validation, tailored to meet the professional needs of educational institutions. Flowcharts were utilized to visualize system workflows, facilitating validation processes and ensuring the feasibility of the design. The implementation of this information system enables educational institutions to optimize student data management in a more structured and reliable manner. This study confirms that the application of information technology in education has a significant impact on operational efficiency and effectiveness, providing solutions to challenges encountered in previous manual systems.

Abstract

The Flooding remains one of the most challenging natural disasters, causing widespread damage and disruption across urban and rural areas. As the frequency and intensity of floods increase due to climate change and urbanization, there is a growing need for effective flood management systems. This paper presents the development of a **Smart Anti-Flooding System (SAFS)** simulator designed to enhance hands-on learning for university students, particularly in engineering, disaster management, and environmental science programs. The SAFS integrates sensors, microcontrollers, pumps, and photovoltaic (PV) panels into an autonomous flood management system, offering students the opportunity to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. The simulator monitors water levels using ultrasonic and level sensors, while controlling pumps and servo motors based on real-time data, enabling automatic water redirection in flood-prone areas. Powered by renewable energy, the system incorporates sustainability into flood management, making it a relevant tool for both education and disaster resilience. This paper highlights the SAFS's integration into university curricula, the learning outcomes achieved, and feedback from students who used the system. The results indicate that the simulator significantly enhances students' practical skills, fosters collaboration, and promotes a deeper understanding of disaster management through experiential learning

Abstract

The integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) technology into a Photovoltaic-Solid Polymer Electrolyte (PV-SPE) system offers an innovative solution for monitoring and optimizing hydrogen production in real time. This study presents the design and implementation of an IoT-based monitoring system for a PV-SPE hydrogen production system, utilizing ESP32 microcontrollers to collect and transmit critical operational data, including voltage, current, temperature, humidity, and hydrogen flow rate, to the Adafruit IO cloud platform. A Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) controller was employed to optimize power transfer from the solar panel to the SPE electrolyzer, ensuring maximum efficiency in the electrolysis process. Experimental results confirmed that hydrogen production rates correlate directly with PV power output, with the IoT-enabled system providing efectively measurement compared to conventional methods. The system demonstrated stable data acquisition, real-time monitoring, and remote accessibility, allowing users to track hydrogen generation performance efficiently. This study concludes that the combination of IoT, renewable energy, and electrolysis technology enhances the efficiency, and scalability of hydrogen production systems

Abstract

This study systematically reviews research on implementing the Cambridge curriculum in Indonesian institutions, focusing on mathematics learning. Using a systematic literature review (SLR) of 18 articles, results highlight qualitative methods, predominantly descriptive and evaluative approaches, with case studies comprising 28%. Data collection frequently involves observations, interviews, documentation, and Google Form questionnaires. Participants mainly include educators, students, guardians, and principals. Most research targets junior high schools, with less attention to elementary and senior levels. The Cambridge curriculum promotes active learning, critical thinking, and global perspectives, often integrated with Indonesia's national curriculum. Benefits include enhanced English proficiency, global awareness, and modern teaching methods. However, challenges arise from language barriers and limited English-speaking environments. The review identifies key trends and gaps, providing recommendations for future research and practical application.

Abstract

This research discusses the design and implementation of an information system for laboratory equipment management at SMK 1 Sigli, specifically in the Fashion Design department. Manual management of laboratory equipment often leads to inefficiencies and errors in data recording. To address these issues, a computer-based system was developed using Microsoft Visual Basic and Microsoft Access, replacing the previously used Microsoft Excel-based system. The system automates several processes, such as data entry, equipment tracking, and report generation, improving operational efficiency. A needs analysis was conducted with laboratory managers to ensure the system design met the operational requirements. The development process included creating a user-friendly interface and an organized database structure. As a result, the system enables real-time monitoring of equipment, reduces errors, and speeds up decision-making related to maintenance and procurement. Feedback from laboratory staff indicates that the system successfully improves the accuracy and efficiency of equipment management. This research provides a practical solution that can be applied to other schools facing similar challenges in laboratory resource management.

Abstract

Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU) “Pelita” menggunakan batu bara sebagai bahan bakar utama. Batu bara yang dipasok ke PLTU “Pelita” berasal dari Provinsi Sumatera Selatan, Kalimantan Selatan dan Kalimantan Timur. Pasokan batu bara yang diterima dilakukan analisis proksimat dan penentuan nilai kalor yang dilakukan oleh PT Surveyor Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk menentukan karakteristik batu bara pada PLTU “Pelita” periode 2019 berdasarkan hasil analisis proksimat dan nilai kalor. Korelasi antara nilai hasil analisis proksimat dan nilai kalor pada batu bara dilakukan berdasarkan analisis statistik menggunakan metode regresi linear. PLTU “Pelita” pada periode 2019 menerima batu bara sebanyak 17.485,537 ton dari Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan melalui dua kali pengiriman, 252.834,199 ton dari Provinsi Kalimantan Timur melalui 23 kali pengiriman dan 259.138,715 ton dari Provinsi Sumatera Selatan melalui 34 kali pengiriman. Pasokan batu bara periode 2019 ini memiliki nilai rata-rata untuk parameter kelembaban, kandungan zat terbang, kandungan abu, kandungan karbon dan nilai kalor batu bara secara berurutan sebesar 29,70%; 34,41%; 3,05%; 32,73%; dan 4.647,71 kkal/kg. Batu bara dari Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan, Kalimantan Timur dan Sumatera Selatan memiliki nilai rata-rata untuk parameter kelembaban sebesar 27,45%; 29,98%; dan 29,58%; kandungan zat terbang sebesar 36,74%; 35,26%; dan 33,44%; kandungan abu sebesar 4,37%; 2,70%; dan 3,30%; kandungan karbon sebesar 31,44%; 31,94%; dan 33,60% serta nilai kalor batu bara sebesar 4.845,54 kkal/kg, 4.504,92 kkal/kg dan 4.773,68 kkal/kg. Korelasi kuat ditunjukkan oleh pengaruh nilai kelembaban (0,663) dan kandungan karbon (0,756) terhadap nilai kalor pada batu bara. Berdasarkan nilai fuel ratio, jenis batu bara yang diterima oleh PLTU “Pelita” periode 2019 adalah bituminus dengan zat terbang menengah-tinggi dan seluruh golongan subbituminus.

Abstract

Latar belakang. Leukemia merupakan suatu penyakit keganasan sel darah yang berasal dari sumsum tulang. Toksisitas hematologi yang terjadi selama kemoterapi dapat memicu timbulnya perubahan neutrofil yang memunculkan manifestasi klinis sehingga menurunkan kualitas hidup pasien anak dengan Leukemia Limfoblastik Akut. Tujuan. Mengetahui korelasi perubahan Absolute Neutrophil Count selama kemoterapi dengan kualitas hidup pada anak dengan Leukemia Limfoblastik Akut di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr Moewardi.Metode. Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendekatan potong lintang. Sampel diambil pada pasien anak yang melakukan kemoterapi periode November 2023-Januari 2024 yaitu 32 responden. Hasil Absolute Neutrophil Count diperoleh melalui data Rekam Medis. Kualitas hidup diperoleh melalui Kuesioner KINDL for Oncology Disease module versi bahasa Indonesia. Hasil. Analisis dengan uji korelasi Gamma menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan antara perubahan Absolute Neutrophil Count selama kemoterapi dengan kualitas hidup (p=<0,001). Hasil analisis hubungan usia, jenis kelamin, fase kemoterapi, dan frekuensi demam neutropenia selama perawatan dengan kualitas hidup pada pasien anak dengan Leukemia Limfoblastik Akut diperoleh hasil hubungan tidak signifikan (p>0,05).Kesimpulan. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara perubahan Absolute Neutrophil Count selama kemoterapi dengan kualitas hidup pada pasien anak dengan Leukemia Limfoblastik Akut di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr Moewardi.

Abstract

Latar belakang. Osteosarkoma merupakan suatu keganasan yang terjadi pada tulang panjang dan dapat menyebabkan kematian. Berbagai penanda inflamasi sistemik dan kondisi nutrisi sudah digunakan dalam menilai prognosis seorang pasien dengan osteosarkoma. Namun marker dan penilaian nutrisi tersebut membutuhkan pemeriksaan laboratorium yang tidak rutin dilakukan pada anak dengan osteosarkoma dan memakan biaya. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan marker inflamasi dan penilaian status nutrisi dengan pengukuran lingkar lengan atas (LILA) yang rutin dikerjakan dan tidak memakan biaya tambahan.Tujuan. Menganalisa penggunaan neutrofil limfosit rasio (NLR) sebagai prognosis kelangsungan hidup anak dengan osteosarkoma dan menganalisa hubungan usia dan status gizi dalam mempengaruhi kelangsungan hidup anak dengan osteosarkomaMetode. Penelitian ini merupakan studi observational analitik dengan pendekatan analisis retrospektif pada 30 anak dengan osteosarkoma yang terdiagnosis pada periode Januari 2018 – Desember 2021 di rumah sakit dr. Moewardi Surakarta. Data diambil berdasarkan rekam medis dari rumah sakit dr. Moewardi dan data anak osteosarkoma dari divisi hemato – onkologi ilmu kesehatan anak rumah sakit dr. MoewardiHasil. Pada pasien dengan NLR ? 2 mempunyai kesintasan sebesar 14.9 bulan, sedangkan pada pasien dengan NLR < 2 mempunyai kesintasan sebesar 22 bulan. Tidak didapatkan adanya perbedaan yang bermakna pada usia dan LILA antara pasien yang hidup dan meninggal duniaKesimpulan. Didapatkan pasien dengan nilai NLR ? 2 mempunyai prognosis yang lebih buruk dibandingkan dengan nilai NLR < 2. Tidak didapatkan adanya pengaruh usia dan status gizi pada saat awal pasien terdiagnosis osteosarkoma terhadap prognosis pasien tersebut
