Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan media sosial dalam kegiatan pemasaran ikan hias di Kota Bandung dan menganalisis strategi dalam memaksimalkan penggunaan media sosial sebagai sarana promosi. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan campuran (kuantitatif dan kualitatif) dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan penyebaran kuesioner kepada 20 responden terdiri dari konsumen dan 5 responden pelaku usaha ikan hias. Data diperoleh dari sumber primer dan,  serta dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif, analisis Marketing Mix 7P, serta analisis SWOT.   Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, dan TikTok digunakan secara aktif untuk kegiatan transaksi, meningkatkan visibilitas produk, dan memperluas jaringan pasar. Produk ikan hias yang paling banyak dibeli konsumen yaitu ikan air tawar seperti arwana, koki, guppy, dan datz, sedangkan untuk ikan laut yaitu ikan nemo. Berdasarkan analisis Marketing Mix 7P, strategi pemasaran yang diterapkan meliputi: penyajian produk yang menarik secara visual, harga yang bersaing, tempat distribusi berbasis digital, promosi melalui konten media sosial, orang (SDM) yang kompeten, proses layanan cepat dan interaktif, serta bukti fisik seperti kemasan yang sesuai standar. Analisis SWOT mengindikasikan bahwa kekuatan utama terletak pada jangkauan luas dan kemudahan penggunaan media sosial, sementara kelemahannya adalah keterbatasan pengetahuan digital sebagian pedagang. Peluang terbesar berasal dari tingginya minat masyarakat terhadap ikan hias, dan ancamannya adalah persaingan harga yang tidak sehat serta potensi penipuan daring. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan media sosial terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kinerja pemasaran ikan hias di Kota Bandung, dan penerapan strategi pemasaran berbasis digital melalui  pendekatan Marketing Mix 7P merupakan strategi yang tepat untuk meningkatkan daya saing dan jangkauan pasar pelaku usaha ikan hias.Title: Utilization of Social Media in Marketing Ornamental Fish in Bandung CityThis study aims to analyze the use of social media in ornamental fish marketing activities in Bandung City and analyze strategies in maximizing the use of social media as a promotional tool. The method used is a mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative) with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and distribution of questionnaires to 20 respondents consisting of consumers and 5 respondents ornamental fish business actors. Data obtained from primary sources and, and analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative approaches, Marketing Mix 7P analysis, and SWOT analysis. The results of the study show that Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, and TikTok are actively used for transaction activities, increasing product visibility, and expanding market networks. The ornamental fish products most purchased by consumers are freshwater fish such as arowana, koki, guppy, and datz, while for marine fish it is nemo fish. Based on the Marketing Mix 7P analysis, the marketing strategies implemented include: visually attractive product presentation, competitive prices, digital-based distribution places, promotion through social media content, competent people (HR), fast and interactive service processes, and physical evidence such as standard packaging. A SWOT analysis indicates that the main strength lies in the broad reach and ease of use of social media, while the weakness is the limited digital literacy of some traders. The greatest opportunity comes from the high public interest in ornamental fish, and the threats are unfair price competition and the potential for online fraud. The conclusion of this study shows that the use of social media has proven effective in improving ornamental fish marketing performance in Bandung City, and the implementation of a digital-based marketing strategy through the 7P Marketing Mix approach is an appropriate strategy to increase the competitiveness and market reach of ornamental fish businesses.

Abstract

Feed is a primary factor influencing the growth and survival of pearl catfish larvae, therefore innovation in alternative feed that is efficient and highly nutritious is required. This study aims to analyze the effect of feeding paste made from golden snail flour (Pomacea canaliculata) at different percentages on the growth and survival of African catfish larvae (Clarias gariepinus). The method used was an experimental design with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisting of three feeding treatments (5%, 10%, and 15% of biomass weight) with five replications, conducted over a 30-day rearing period. The observed parameters included survival rate (SR), absolute weight growth, absolute length growth, average daily growth (ADG), specific growth rate (SGR), and water quality. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), followed by the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test at a 5% significance level. The results showed that different feeding percentages had a highly significant effect (p > 0.05) on all parameters. The best treatment was obtained at a feeding rate of 10% of biomass weight, with a survival rate of 96.4%, absolute weight gain of 24.6 g, absolute length gain of 4.56 cm, ADG of 0.41 g/day, and SGR of 70%. Water quality during the study remained within optimal ranges, with temperatures of 24–27°C and pH levels of 7.8–8.5. Thus, feeding paste made from golden apple snail flour at 10% of biomass weight is the optimal dosage to improve the growth and survival of pearl catfish larvae.
